Legends of Riallen Beta Extravaganza

"Well, *well*..." Shaylia breathed - Her words cut off in a quick "No you don't-" as one of the wolves lunged towards Syndella! The luscious redhead covered the distance quicker than thought; One foot lashing out to send the nearest wolf reeling back, heedless of the bite it'd left on her leg...A bite that was quickly healing! Enhanced strength and regeneration, too...This really was an incredible buff. She'd just have to make use of it while it lasted...

As Shaylia closed the distance, she executed a quick Crescent Stab - Motes of light trailing from her stiffened fingers, as she plunged a spear-hand into the attacking wolf's back! The curvy virtual vixen wasn't about to let them take Syndella like *that*...Her green eyes flashing with mingled exhilaration and fury, as she *lifted* the wolf - And pitched it headfirst at its companions!

The wolf yelped in agony as her hand ripped through its back and into its chest, blood pouring down her arm as she easily hefted its heavy weight up into the air. Even the other wolves were still and stunned at the sight, their growls becoming yelps of pain and surprise when their companions slammed hard into them. It seemed that was enough to make most of them hang back, still surrounding the two women as another, larger creature began to emerge from the shadows.

The alpha was massive, twice the size of even these enlarged wolves. Frothy blood and drool dripped from its jaws as it stared at Shaylia, waiting only an instant before it dashed forward with impossible speed, dark red energy coiling up around its claws. With a deep roar it lunged for her, the darkness itself being torn asunder by the creature's claws, something strange and terrible awaiting within the rended space before it sealed itself.

"What the-" Shaylia gasped, her eyes going wide at the sight of the *massive* wolf...A massive wolf with some kind of magical enhancement, no less, those claws cutting the air with impossible speed! As it lunged at her, Shaylia threw herself aside in the *longest* impromptu roll of her life - Behind her, there was only the hard bole of the tree, though she wasn't sure how effective an impact like that would be against a creature this big, this ferocious!

It's maw churned the air, as Shaylia's enhanced skin scraped against the ground - The swordswoman's hand coming up, scattering glittering shards of glass...Hurling them like makeshift throwing knives, each piece glowing as they hissed away from her - Powered by her Throwing Weapons skill, no less! She was aiming for the thing's eyes, hoping to blind it...It'd be a tough fight *with* her gear, and she was going to need every trick at her disposal if she wanted to win!

The wolf slammed hard into the plant's stem, a growl of sudden pain escaping it as it pulled back. For a moment it seemed stunned, shaking his head from side to side, only to howl loudly as the shards of glass struck it. Shaylia managed to get a couple of good hits on its eye before the movement of its head made the rest bounce harmlessly off of its thick fur and hide, the beast turning towards her with a bloodied eye and fury shining in the other.

An instant before it leaped there was movement behind it, Syndella's lithe form suddenly clinging desperately onto its back as she shouted wordlessly, jabbing a fallen wolf's tooth into the back of its neck. It didn't seem to notice the pinpricks, instead twisting and snarling as it tried to reach the goblin girl. If it succeeded, it was likely that there wouldn't be enough of the girl left to bury.

"What the-" Shaylia didn't waste time shouting for Syndella to get away - She cleared the distance in an all-out sprint, sweat gleaming on her toughened skin...One hand wrenching a jagged, fallen branch from the ground, for use as a weapon! Syndella was stabbing a wolf's fang at the pack alpha - But she wasn't *strong* enough to pierce the thing's hide and flesh...Not the way her mother was!

Shaylia didn't know how much longer the potion would last - But she pelted towards the thing's blind side, a wordless cry wrenched from her lips as she *stabbed* out at the thing's bloodied eye with all the strength she could muster!

In-game, the branch would count as an improvised weapon; Still, it was the closest thing Shaylia could get her hands on, right now, tracers of light bleeding from the stabbing point as she executed a sword skill with it - A high-level Sonic Lunge, one of the backbones of a fighter's arsenal!

The light covered the branch by the time it struck the creature's eye, and Shaylia could practically hear the familiar sound in her head; critical hit. The monstrous wolf howled in agony as it reared back, Syndella being helplessly tossed from it and the branch being ripped out of Shaylia's hands. But it didn't seem to matter. The wolf roared helplessly as it collapsed to the side, twisting and writhing with less than half of the huge stick poking out of its eye. Slowly its struggles became weaker, until at last it collapsed to the ground.

The rest of the pack was deadly silent, watching the scene with silent eyes. The moment either of the women moved the wolves would turn and run, vanishing back into the darkness as quickly as they came, leaving the two of them alone in the dim light beneath the massive plant.

It was several moments before Syndella stirred, slowly rising to shaking feet as she look first at the fallen wolf, then at her mother, a questioning, dazed look on her face.

"Haaaaa, haaaaa~" For the *longest* time, there was only the sound of Shaylia gasping from breath...Until she'd calmed, watching the wolves withdraw from around them~! At Syndella's curious look, she chuckle, a shaky but thoroughly satisfied sound; "-The potion," she offered, by way of explanation...Green eyes widening, slightly! "...I was trying to get it, and I spilt some on myself...Is *that* what it does~?"

Her reinforced skin rasped against the soft grass, as she drew herself to her knees; "Are you all right~?" Shaylia asked ~ The girl *had* taken quite a nasty tumble amid the brawl that'd followed!

The redhead's gaze tracked to the side, for a moment...Wondering how long the buff would last~! The power of it was absolutely thrilling...But it'd been the only thing that'd let her fend off the wolves. She still couldn't believe how she'd managed to kill the pack alpha with a *branch*...And naked, to boot~!

Syndella shook her head as Shaylia spoke, trying to regain her bearings. Finally she looked around the blood-stained ground and sighed slightly. "So much for recovering the potions," she murmured, rising a hand to her head and wincing as her fingers brushed against a gash on her forehead. "Well, maybe there are more...if we can actually find them. Or get out of here."

Sadly the convenient countdown of just how long buffs lasted was absent here, but Shaylia could still feel it coursing through her. It might only last another few minutes, it might last all day. She had no way of knowing; all she knew was that it was still going strong.

After a few moments Syndella spoke again, slowly moving her limbs as she worked herself out. "I think I'm ok...sore as fuck, but ok. Any idea what we're going to do now?"

Shaylia let out a low, relieved sigh - "It's too bad we don't have our *gear*," she murmured, almost to herself...Her gaze tracking out over the trees, her limbs stinging with strength. "-We won't be able to get back until we're done with *this* mission, at the very least...Which means there's only one place left to go."

The luscious redhead drew herself to her full height; "We're going to follow the wolves - They had to come from *somewhere*, and their size; There's at least one more cache of potions out there. Now that their leader's dead...They shouldn't be *quite* as much trouble."

She glanced back at Syndella - "...The sooner we're done with this, the sooner we can get you healed; It's a little more rudimentary than I was hoping for, but...That seems to be our best chance~!"

"Oh, wonderful," the goblin girl said sarcastically, muttering several more angry-sounding comments in goblin. But finally she nodded, searching on the ground until she found a few broken thorns about the size of daggers. She gave two to Shaylia and kept two for herself, the makeshift weapons seeming to make her feel much better about the prospect of following the wolves back to their lair.

The darkness seemed to be much lighter now, though perhaps that was due to the potion still coursing through her. With so many leaves and twigs littering the ground, it was fairly simple to trace the wolves through the darkness. It took about five minutes of walking before they saw the edge of the heavy canopy of vines, ultimately emerging out into the forest proper once more.

The trail was even easier to follow, and soon enough the two women could hear the snarling and growling of a large number of wolves gathered together. There was plenty of brush and small trees to use as cover as they crept closer, finally sighting a large cave that descended into the earth. The cave was not very deep, and even from the entrance they could see nearly two dozen wolves within, several of them fighting with each other. Stranger was the figure at the back of the cave; from here it appeared to be a man, an extremely large man, so covered in furs and hides that he seemed more beast than man. Neither him nor the wolves seemed to have noticed them.

Yet.

The thorns were crude, but servicable weapons - And it felt good to have *something* in her hands, at the very least! Shaylia's eyes widened with interest, as they neared their destination: "Well, now..." the redhead mused aloud, to Syndella - "...Look at that." She sounded distinctly impressed, her gaze tracing the burly silhouette of the man at the back of the cave...Was he the one who'd been controlling the wolves? What *was* he?

Shaylia tilted her head in his direction, pursing her lips - "...What do you make of that?" she asked, her voice low, hushed - But thoughtful, more curious than worried~!

Of all the things she'd seen today; Since their 'encounter' with the plant, and the fight with the wolf pack - This was the first human face she'd seen, since then! She couldn't help but be intrigued...Was that the final boss for the level? And if so, how were they supposed to get past him?

The lovely swordswoman was aware that her buff was still working, which was a relief - Though her daughter wasn't quite as well protected. She'd wait, for a moment, to see what he did next...After all, the wolves had returned for a *reason*!

"I don't know," Syndella murmured quietly, squinting as she studied the human. "Wolfman? Druid? Shaman?" She fell silent as one of the wolves turned in their direction, but it merely seemed to study the area before turning back to the chunk of unknown meat it had been gnawing on.

"Must be fighting for the next alpha," her daughter continued when the danger had passed, motioning slightly towards the tangle of wolves struggling with each other. Several of them were fighting at once, others hovering near the edge and waiting for the opportunity to strike another from behind. The man seemed to be engrossed in the fight but wasn't even moving as he sat upon a large boulder.

Eventually the man shifted, but only to reach out a long, hairy arm and pick up what looked like an elvish arm. The motion moved some of the furs near his waist, revealing the trio of small bottles hanging from his belt. The bottles were hid once more as he rose the arm to his mouth. It was a bit too dark in the cave to see what he was doing, but the arm seemed to have a few chunks missing when he tossed it aside once more.

"That's what we're looking for," Shaylia whispered - Indicating the bottles at the 'man's' (And she used that term loosely) belt. He was a *big* one, towering over her...And the wolves, mutated as they were, had the good sense to stay away from him. Shaylia couldn't help but wince, as he bit into an elf's arm - Whatever *that* was, it didn't bode well. Still, if it was their only ticket back...

She rested a hand on Syndella's shoulder. "Stay here," the lovely redhead said, lifting her eyes to her daughter's; "-I'm going to go down and talk to him." A light squeeze, from her fingers - "It's dangerous, but...I think I probably have the best chance of getting them from him. If it goes bad, and I don't come back, well...I want you to get as *far* from here as possible, darling."

Her face went momentarily solemn: "I still don't know you *that* well, but...You're everything I could have wanted in a daughter." Absently, Shaylia brushed stray strands of crimson hard back from her elegant features, a soft giggle teased from her throat - "Once we're out of here...I promise I'll do my best to get to know you, too."

Intimately might have been a better word - Though she didn't feel the need to bring it up. Without another word - Making no attempt to hide her presence, once she was a good distance from Syndella - Shaylia rose, beginning the descent towards the cave...The luscious vixen hoping to draw the man's eye, one hand perched on a curvy hip, a saunter to her step as she made her way down!

Syndella seemed completely dumbstruck, barely able to utter anything more than a "You're going to what?!" before Shaylia was moving away. There was a muffled curse in goblin before Syndella seemed to vanish into the woods; a few moments later Shaylia could see a shadow emerging above the cave's entrance, a dark presence just waiting to launch a sneak attack if she was needed.

When the warrior emerged from the brush one of the wolves noticed her quickly, giving a short howl of warning. The effect was immediate; suddenly every wolf was turned towards her, several of them dashing forward, fangs bared as they prepared to rip her to shreds for daring to intrude upon their territory. Seconds before they were upon her the man shouted some sort of wordless bark, and the wolves skidded to a halt. Still they watched her carefully, their growling growing louder every time she moved, but they did not attack.

Within the darkness of the cave the man very slowly stood, taking a few steps forward until he stood at the entrance to the cave, a few yards away from her. "You.....here.....why?" he growled, his voice obviously little used.

(Sorry for the long delay - I've been utterly swamped by exams. Just glad to be done with them at last.)

Even when the wolves began to howl, Shaylia kept walking...Her curvy hips swaying in a sultry strut, that confident smirk on her lovely features - As she ran her fingers through her crisp red tresses! They were growling, hungry and warning at once - But they had the good sense *not* to come any closer. After all...She'd already handled a few of them without breaking a sweat~!

As the man...Well, she'd have used the term loosely - loomed before the virtual vixen, a taut *gasp* parted her lips; "My, you're a big one," Shaylia breathed - Her gaze sliding up and over his powerful form...Before settling on the bottles at his waist! "Mmmmm..."

Without preamble, the luscious swordswoman tipped her chin towards the potions - Indicating them, in no uncertain terms, as her green eyes flashed with interest! "-I'm looking for those," she said, frankly - "...There's a witch who wants them back, and I don't intend to disappoint her~!" Entirely naked, Shaylia shook her head, her crimson tresses caressing her sleek back - Though she could still feel the potion singing in her veins. As long as the buff lasted, she was *hardly* going to be worried...

"-I don't suppose you'd care to hand them over, handsome~?"

The man was silent as she spoke, staring down at her with a cold expression. But even if his face was still the rest of his body was reacting to the sight of her; she could see a bulge growing beneath the furs around his waist, one that must have been caused by something quite large to move the heavy furs so much. Even when she finished his only response was a low growl, a deep rumbling in his throat. Instantly the wolves were moving, darting out of the cave and around them until they formed a ring around the two of them, staying well away from both Shaylia and the strange man.

When the wolves were still the man moved, a thick arm slowly rising. His hand flexed, seemed to change and twist until thick claws extended from his fingers. His lips parted in a snarl, yellowed fangs clearly visible. "You...down...give...up...or die..." he demanded in his rough voice, the words barely understandable through his deep growls. Slowly he shifted until he was in a combat ready stance, glaring at her as he waited for her response.

Something changed as the man spoke, something Shaylia couldn't identify yet instantly understood. The buff was beginning to fade; at best she had no more then five minutes before it was gone entirely.

Of all the times for the buff to wear out~! Shaylia's eyes widened - The redhead sauntering forward, hoping that she hadn't betrayed her sudden worry...Not much longer left~! Rather than quail, though, she arched her back; Her slender but strong arms clasped behind her head...Her gaze holding the man's, as she stretched, with a supple, feline grace~! The buff was wearing off - But not just yet.

While the large man certainly seemed belligerent, he couldn't hide the responses of his body, when confronted by the lovely, voluptuous redhead - "Your wolves couldn't beat me," she drawled, with seeming unconcern: "What makes you think you can~?"

A pause, to let him register that - Before Shaylia favored him with a slow-burning, sultry stare; "...I'll tell you what, handsome," she breathed - Her voice low, husky, those green eyes hazy with anticipation. "Get those furs off, and we can have some real fun..."

The wolves growled deeply as she spoke of their defeat, the man snarling deeply in warning. "...kill you..." he rumbled, fists clenching tightly. Yet he paused before acting, a vaguely confused expression appearing on his face when she spoke of fun. Even if he didn't seem to understand his body certainly did, the bulge beneath his furs growing even larger.

It was several long moments before he reacted at all, his eyes narrowing. "...you...mate..." he rumbled in the same low voice, as if trying to understand just what was happening. Slowly he began to step forward until he was only a few steps away from her; at this distance he seemed even bigger, easily several times her weight and size.

With a grunt he reached up and pulled some of the furs aside, enough for his cock to spring free. The organ was truly massive, easily the largest she'd ever seen on a human and was still growing. "..you mate..." he snarled again, the words more forceful this time.

"Oh my-" the gasp that pealed from Shaylia's lips - That made her green eyes go *wide* - wasn't fear, but admiration! His *cock* - It swayed before her, with a lewd weight of it's own...Enough to make the luscious redhead's mouth go dry, a hot shiver beginning at the very base of her spine! So big...And getting harder still, at the mere presence of the incredible temptress flaunting her charms before him! Not for the first time, the lovely swordswoman was *very* grateful of the buff...It'd help her take that on, directly...

She didn't stand on ceremony, sauntering the last few steps, until she stood right in front of him...Before her slim fingers bit into his broad shoulders, her long, lovely legs coming to wrap around his waist~! She rolled her hips - The feel of the mighty organ drawing a taut hiss from her lips - as she ground herself against it... "I mate~" Shaylia cooed in response - Her pulse hammering in her ears, knowing she was about to *fuck* this incredible specimen!
