It was eleven pm and Jacob finally takes the call from his sister. Of course she had probably grown used to that, with his current 'job' he always slept during the daylight hours. His sister was having troubles, and needed a place to stay, he couldn't deny her she was family and would do the same if he was in need. So he accepted without much hesitation and recited her the adress for her to find.
His house was modestly sized, he was always a man to live below his means just incase anything came up. Like having an extra person living in his home for a while. But what he lacked was an extra bedroom, for her to lay her head down. A simple enough matter, his study had been long unused because of his busy life. So he went to work converting it into a bredroom. Moving the bookshelves, and such was an easy task, almost effortless. Strangly so for one man to have them relocated in less than an hour. Even more so that he managed to take apart one of the shelves and design it into a make shift bed frame, it was oak, sturdy and would hold. The mattress he took from his closet it was there when he moved in, and would do until he could find her a new one. It was a rather bland being a study once before, but he was sure she could liven it up to her liking.
Just peeking into thirty, strangly enough he didn't look much different from that day seven years ago when they last saw eachother. Yet he also looked dramatically differen't at the same time. Age hasn't seemed to touch him, but his skin took a dramatic turn to the pale side, and he had a subtle glow about him, like he always stood under a florescent light. But that just seemed to make his dark hair and hazel hues stand out all the more. His hair was longer, tied back into a ponytail and the dark goatee on his chin reamined neatly trimmed. Upon a closer look, he appeared more toned as well, when he used to be on the chubby side seven years ago.
