Terraforming Earth

"Now would I know if they would be willing to offer more than myself... Besides, I have no interest in letting the other hives know about the existence of a viable male human," the queen bee shrugged, "Any hive which obtains a male is able to grow significantly, whereas currently many hives are slowly shrinking due to the workers passing away from old age or disease. The exact rate of growth is dependent on how fertile the queen and the human are, and how compatible they are on a basic level."

The queen was willing to play along for now, knowing full well what the ship's intentions were but unwilling to directly oppose it, at least at this time... She would let the Grizzly do all the hard work for her, and possibly snatch him away afterward should the opportunity present itself. She had no intention of letting things continue as they were currently, but she too had patience... The patience to move when the situation turned in her favor was one of her strong points.

Meanwhile, the Grizzly led the ship along into the thick forest, walking through thick groves and past forest streams as the ground started to become more hilly and rocky. Her pace never slowed, however, with the increased difficulty of the terrain as she was actually very fit despite her appearance. In her youth she would train herself constantly, as survival for a large creature such as herself depended on her physical strength and endurance. Defending cubs was an important task, and she had to be prepared when the time came. She had never imagined that she would raise a human boy, however, but she had agreed to the deal so she would stick to it.

Eventually, the Grizzly showed him to a small clearing in the forest in front of a large rock outcropping, in the side of which was a cave. The opening appeared somewhat narrow, but she assured Adam that it was much larger once they stepped inside. Once they walked past the dim opening to the cave, a cool, relaxing scent filled the air as the cave suddenly opened up in all directions. A large bed made of animal skins sewn together stood in the far back of the single room, with a chest beside it which most likely contained medical supplies such as bandages and such. beside the bed stood a large jar, most likely containing the honey that she was so fond of eating, nearby racks of dried meat wrapped up into packages for her to take along on walks. The light which illuminated the entire room came from a small hole far above them in the dome-shaped ceiling.

"What's mine is yours," the grizzly grinned and sat down heavily upon her bed, "Make yourself at home, Adam. the only rules I have is that you don't leave the cave without telling me first, and that you shouldn't wake me up when I am sleeping since I can be a bit grumpy. Other than that, feel free to have fun, relax, and enjoy yourself."

She finally took a good look at the boy, remarking, "I can train you if you like. Your body seems a bit frail."

HOW MANY OFFSPRING GENERALLY COME FROM EACH SESSION IF GIVEN A vIABLE MALE? The ship would take it's chances and see how much information it could comb from the disrespectful queen. Many because of the anti-monarchist programming inserted by the Bolivarian debuggers. WHAT CAN YOU OFFER FOR THE CHANCE AND WOULD OTHERS DEFECT FROM THEIR OWN HIVE FOR THE CHANCE? The commentaries on military and political stragety suggested on keeping others constantly at odds with one anohter, but if the Ship could get human supremecy established over them... WHAT DOES THE POSITION OF QUEEN BEE ENTAIL AND WHAT DUTIES WOULD YOUR MATE HAVE?

The pod opened and Adam stepped out of it somewhat wobbilly, before falling and grabbing the Grizzly's leg. "Is ther milk for my bones?" He had enough information in the oversized head, even if he couldn't sift through it efficiently. "And yes, please train me." He looked up at the bear, taking in the color of his foster-mother's hair and skin. "Help me up?" He asked as he tried wiggling his toosh up her leg, rubbing his small groin along it as he got halfway up before his memories snapped into his mind that he wasn't a toddler, allowing him to climb onto it on his own. "Where can I sleep? And can you train me now?"

"Worker bees are completely loyal to their queens. I don't even see how defection would be possible," the queen bee shrugged, "I would personally offer protection, care, food, and instruction in the planet's lore and its many species as well as proper political etiquette. We honey bees are relatively simple in our lives, but its not like we are bored from lack of activity. Making honey is a lot more labor-intensive than you would think. As for my own personal duties, I oversee the production of honey and ensure the protection of the hive. I also make deals with other species of the planet, if necessary, which is why I learned how to speak human languages. Of course, I am also the only fertile female in the entire hive and have the duty of producing more worker bees for the hive. My mate would primarily assist me in that last duty, and as humans are not equipped for assisting in honey production he would be free to pursue whatever interests him as long as he does not need to leave the hive to do so. We prefer to keep our mates close by for their own protection."

"Milk? I suppose I could go into town and buy you some if you want," the Grizzly thought milk was only for babies, but then again this boy was still growing so she didn't immediately throw out the possibility that he would still need milk. She was visibly perplexed when he rubbed himself against her, worrying that he might be a bit too frail to be wandering about on his own.

"I still need to make a bed for you, so for today you can sleep in my bed," she replied, "Sure, I can train you. I will warn you that it will be hard work, so be prepared... First, we need to stretch out your body then do some basic strength exercises."

The grizzly was surprisingly adept at instruction, at least when it came to physical training that is, and showed him some basic stretching techniques and other exercises as she went through the steps alongside him. From anyone else's view, they looked like a master and student pair more than a mother and her adopted son.

AND WHO OVERSEES PRODUCTION AND DEFENSE IN THE EVENT THAT YOU ARE INCAPACITATED BY PREGNANCY? DO YOU TRADE YOUR HONEY TO GAIN THE CONTAINERS USED TO BRING THE SAMPLES? DO YOU NEED THE POLLEN OF SPECIFIC FLOWERS FOR YOUR HONEY? Bees would be needed for the plants it had aboard, though these ones seemed too large. THE MONOPOLIZATION OF PRECIOUS SPERM IS UNACCEPTABLE AT THIS TIME. WOULD YOU STAY NEARBY FOR MATING ONCE HE IS READY IN TEN YEARS TIME? A tentacle prodded at one of the giant flower pods.

"Can I come?" He wasn't as cautious as he should have been, but what can you do? Adam went along with the, trying to keep up, though his muscle memory was still almost non-existant. Something in his mind told him that if he managed to push his body without going over when he was long that it would stay with him for a long time. He followed her wheverever she went, eating the meat of from some creature that only The Lord knew. At night he took to using his mother, who he seldomed stopped using the term for, as if she was a teddy bear, finding the round ears, tail, and breasts fascinating. This went on for a good many days or weeks until he began to smell.
OOC: Short timeskip if you wish, or we can RP the begining or their relationship.

(lets do a bit of a time-skip... Not sure how to transition into the next stage, though)

"Don't me rediculous... I don't carry my children myself, I lay eggs which are cared for by some of my worker bees," the queen explained, "It is hardly an inconvinence to my physical well-being so I don't need to take a break. The jars are made from wax, so we don't need to trade for them. Everything we use we can make for ourselves. We prefer the nectar from Alrune flowers and pollen from any large flowers which have pollen. It doesn't need to be any particular type..."

The prodded Alrune remained carefully hidden inside her pod. She had no intention of coming out to satisfy the ship's curiosity, after all.

"Of course... I have no intention of letting him go quite so easily," the queen bee smiled, deciding it was time for her to return to the hive, "See you again in ten years, artificial intelligence... I look forward to seeing him again then."

-------------------

Throughout their many days together, the Grizzly showed Adam the wonders of the forest and how to survive by himself if he ever needed to in the future. She showed him how to skin animals and sew the skins together to make fabrics, as well as how to treat and dry meat for later. Throughout their training sessions, she would offer encouragement and assistance in order to make him stronger and better able to carry his own weight, as it were. Most of the time, however, when she wasn't in some way teaching Adam, the Grizzly spent most of her day sleeping or eating, enjoying the simplicity of her life while watching over Adam. She tried to give him some space, but the way he would cuddle up next to her when he slept beside her was nearly unbearable at first, but she gradually became accustomed to his presence such that it wasn't much of a problem...

Off course it wouldn't take ten years for Adam to be ready, but no need for anyone to know that. He was already more than developed for it, though the sperm count wouldn't be up to a decent level until he had enough time to actually push his body to orgasm. A flaw, like with most animals. The plants seemded to hold much more progress. The AI started digging around the bottom of the flowers to get to their roots unless the pods opened. The borken trees were turned into compost and terraces and plants planted around them, the Alrunes having a prominent place. It would make a grand garden, unseen since the times of Eden, if the Ship had anything to do with it. And it had everything to do with it as it worked away on it's secret project deep within it's hull.

And so weeks passed as Adam trained hard, eating much meat and honey as he lay on the bear as a pillow. Train, eat, burn off the calories, eat some more, sleep, train... A good, life, but a dull one. And he smelled and felt ichy under his tight suit. He looked over his shoulder to the Grizzly, who's stomache he had been using as a pillow. His eyes, skin, and hair almost perfectly matched hers at this point. "Mom, am I supposed to stay in this?" He rubbed his suit which stretched tightly, though more tightly in some places than others as he ate some honey. He also then touched her tits. "Are these clothes?" He squeezed, wondering if it was something that he could have if he wore it.

"You don't have to stay in it if you don't want you," the Grizzly replied in a frank manner, as she did not find nudity to be offensive in the slightest. Of course, she had thick fur to keep herself warm although her arms and legs were exposed while the fur was mostly concentrated, as if articles of clothing, on her hands, feet, and torso. She reached over to him and carefully used one of her claws to make a small cut in his suit to allow him to take it off if he wished.

"No, those are my breasts, silly," the bear laughed, "They are part of my body... Why do you ask?"

"Why don't I have any?" He began to wiggle out of the suit, his body know having gotten developped enough to handle contact with the outside. He was a bit sticky from the sweat, cleanings, and other things that the suit did to his body while he was in it, including taking down the contant bulge that he had from the honey. He was used to it at that point so paid it little mind, instead eating more hunny, offering his "mother" to have some from his hands. "Can I get closes like you so I look like a bear?" The neaked boy leaned back to better watch her, his head now by her kness as his blinked at her with opaque eyes.

"You don't have any because you are a boy. Boy's don't have breasts," the grizzly hoped her explanation would satisfy him since she couldn't think of any other way to explain it to him in a way he would understand. She licked the honey from his hands, looking over him affectionately as she considered his second question.

"Why would you like to look like a bear? I think you are quite charming just the way you are," the bear asked Adam.

Adam looked over his body for a bit, thinking it over. He had chosen to look like her, after all. Skin, hair... Not the eyes though. Not yet. "So that I fit into the woods better? So I cen help you around the house and to get food and protect you." Not that he had really come across much violence since his time there. Really, the bees were looking about, but most of those who came by seemed to find his suit more strange than the lack of large breasts. Having clothes like his mom would hide that fact. "Oh. Why haven't I seen other boys around?" Or girls, come to think of it. But he didn't, as he didn't really see much different in ages. All the girls were basically women with the face body types but different clothes.

"You see, you are already very special because you are a boy, Adam," the grizzly gave him an affectionate lick on the cheek, "You are wonderful just the way you are, dear. I could make some clothes for you that look like my fur, but you will always be my special boy. I don't know why there aren't many boys out there like you, but that's part of what makes you so special."

She had seen what he was capable of, as he could apparently change his appearance to suit his needs or desires at will. Although she didn't understand how he could do so, she had noticed the change that had taken place over their time together.

"Please do." He licked her on the cheek in return, nuzzling to her. He was content as he was so long as he didn't get to adventurous. More time passed, he was protected, and he stayed as a momma's boy. He helped with picking berries, though generally did do to collect honey or meat for some reason. When washing himself with water collected during the rain, his body now fuller from a steady diet and excercise, he asked about being able to hunt or join in getting honey and other things. He would do whatever she asked, though hoped she didn't ask for help in making the new bed which would deprive him of his teddy. Mother, teddy, mentor... He knew a bit about family, but she wasn't sure if only two people made one. He would find out later.

Between her other tasks, the Grizzly worked on making some clothes from the extra furs that she skinned off the animals that they ate. She carefully chose skins that were similar in color and texture to her own fur, to make him appear somewhat similar to herself once the suit was completed. With surprising dexterity, she sewed a pair of gloves, boots, and a bodysuit for him, which she carefully sized to fit Adam. She presented it to him one afternoon, hoping that he would enjoy his new present.

"Here you are," she held it out for him to put on, "I'm sure you'll like it, Adam... You've grow up so fast."

She was proud of her adopted son, as he had shown himself both very capable as well as willing to do whatever she asked him to do. He would have made a fine bear, had he actually been a bear that is. She had even taken him out on some of her hunting trips, showing him how to trap small animals and how to take down the larger ones with one's own hands. She only ate non-sentient life, such as deer, rabbits, or whatever else she could catch in her traps or with her own two paws.

He loved it. He was able to pass himself off as a bear, even getting some of the droozy mannerisms done as he took all opportunities to sleep next to the Grizzly. He was fascinated by each extra few yards they took away from the tree together, as he still obeyed to not stray without her. The rabbits were adorable, though were mostly eaten, to his slight discomfort. It became more than slight when his stomache started have grave problems and he took to eating some mushrooms and roots that he found about, the honey, meat, and occassional berries not making for the most balanced of means for an omnivore. Best not to ask for a piggy back ride at that timek when his stomache settled. He seemed to have had some sort of immunity to whatever toxins were in them, though it did make him act somewhat slower and drowiser, which he enjoyed just fine. "What are we going to do today, Mom?"

"I have taught you all you need to know to be a great bear," the grizzly smiled, "Except for choosing your own mate and having children of your own. That's something you have to figure out on your own. You can stay with me for as long as you like, Adam, but there really isn't anything else I can teach you. You are strong and a brave fellow. I'm sure you will get along just fine."

She was a bit worried that he might choose to find his own way in the world and leave his caretaker behind in favor of exploring the world away from her cave. Of course, the ten years when the ship promised to let the queen bee have a pass at the boy had not yet expired, but even so the grizzly didn't want to let go of him just like that. She wanted to keep him by her side, not just as her son but as a potential mate.

This wasn't what he had been wanting to hear. "Yes. Yes, it is time for me to leave." Yes, he should go out into the world as was his mission and... Colonize it? How was he even supposed to do that? He really couldn't think of how. Still, he could get a family. He just needed a mate. Whatever that was. He looked over at his adopted mother for a while after he mentioned mate, then leaned over and licked her cheeks and chin. "But what is a mate? How do I have children" Sure, he had heard a fair bit when he was warned about the bees by his teddy or those odd shiny squares on wheels that seemed to be dragging people towards where the giant shiny tube was.

(I'm not really comfortable with doing a scene with Adam as he currently is... He's acting too much like a curious, immature child)

"A mate is someone that you choose to be with, who helps you raise and care for children," the grizzly replied, "I'm sure your mate will be able to help you answer your second question... Its not really something that I can explain to you since I haven't really had any of my own. I'm sure you already know this, but you aren't really my cub, after all."

OOC: Same, I simply am not sure how to properly show his age, combined with his lack of experience in life.. I'll try going for naivity. He can return for her in the future or just amp up his majority right now.

Adam nodded, steeling his face and back as he listened to what was said. He didn't know what sort of person would be able to answer his second question, but he figured that if she didn't know then he could come back and tell her someday. "When I come back would you still consider my your boy?" He rubbed behind his ears with his large glove, still pondering what to do. Walking forward seemed a good way to start. "I won't be replaced if I find you a mate?" He would definetly want to know before he went out to find his own, as well as one for her. Maybe he could just find one good mate which both of them could share. Well, after this conversation it would be time to pack up a bit of food, get another nap, then start walking.

"You will always have a place in my heart, Adam," the Grizzly smiled, "You can never be replaced, no matter what happens. If something ever happens and you need a place to stay, I will always welcome you back with open paws."

With that, she gave him a gentle, loving nudge to show that her words were sincere. She walked over to the meat rack and began to pack some of them away into a bag for him, along with a jar of honey and a jug of water for him to refresh himself during his journey. It might last him two or three days, but he would have to find a place to settle down before the next rain. She presented her final gift to Adam before turning back toward her bed and flopping down on it... The cave would feel much more empty and lonesome without him around, that much was certain. She only hoped he would be able to get along fine without herself around to protect and guide him... He was an able boy, but she couldn't help worrying.

He was off. The boy started walking in the first direction he started at, then simply kept going. Trees everywhere, no real sense of direction, but he was sure he would get wherever he tried to. He collected bark, berries, and mushrooms along the way as well as some bugs, eating them to keep his energy up as he considered what he would have to do. Find his own tree. Learn how to sew. Start skinning animals. Maybe have people pay for his help with reaching the top shelf. Ahh, the memories of centuries past were coming back. After he ran out of water he took a dollop of honey to his tongue and sucked to keep his mouth wet. It excited him down below and released a faint odor, though he was used to it and did not know that it was not the most normal way for a body to react.

As Adam walked through the forest, the distinct yet slight smell of a human male wafted through the air, attracting the attention of many of the nearby forest dwellers. This was not the first time this had occurred, as Adam and the Grizzly would often take walks together while snacking on honey, but the others had kept their distance due to the Grizzly's presence. After all, however harmless she may have appeared to Adam, her strength and speed were not to be underestimated. If she wished, she was more than a match for many of the other creatures in the forest, but now as he stood alone in the forest there was a grand opportunity... If he wasn't careful, they would seize an opportunity and snatch him up.

One such creature which had been watching him for quite some time was a spirit of the trees, known as a Dryad. Timid, peaceful, and generally harmless, Dryads typically spend most of their time singing or relaxing under the large canopy of the forest. Although they rarely stray far from the tree that they inhabit, they can walk about the forest without being physically attached, and so without paying careful attention they could even pass for human women.

The Dryad that approached Adam was particularly well-suited to this role, her long, flowing green hair waving elegantly in the morning breeze. Her footsteps were light and silent, her light robe wrapped around her body as she gave him a gentle smile, "Hello, human... You seem a bit lost."

e gave a lazy smile as he slowly blinked at her. There was something off about this person. Didn't look like a hunter or a bear or bee. "No, I'm just heading off to find a mate and family." He had looked around at the human comment, wondering how anyone had been able to see through his cunning disguise, as well as how they knew what a human was. "Sorry if this si your area. I'll walk around it." He gave another slime and head nodd and turned to do that, letting the green haired person continue to guard her territory. They reminded him of the flower people from some weeks before and how they had tried pulling him. Then the bees got in the way. Strange, bees and flowers should have gotten along fine... He yawned as he gazed at the clouds that could be seen through the openings in the trees.

As he walked right past the Dryad took mild offense at his words, as she had tried her best to appear interested in more than just a simple chat. Her oblivious potential mate just walked right around the outter parameter of reach, as she could only go so far away from her tree. She didn't voice her dismay, but she certainly looked more than just a little disappointed at the way they had parted way so soon...

As Adam walked through a small opening in the trees, there spread before him a small cottage built of stone and topped with a thatched roof. It was a crude yet effective building considering the environment, and inhabited by someone who was doubtless well versed with proper building methods considering the available materials. The smooth, pleasant sound of singing issued from the small cottage just as someone stepped outside, pushing the wooden door to the side as she stepped out into the warm morning rays. She had long, blonde hair that ran down her back, ending just above her round bottom. She had a smooth, pretty face and sharp set green eyes that gleamed in the sunlight. She wore clothes sewn from large forest leaves which clung to her body and showed off her curves, and otehr than her pointed ears she looked quite human... For she was an elf.

"H-hello?" she suddenly noticed Adam's presence and jumped back slightly.

'What a nice women.' Adam thought to himself as he walked away, seeing that she hadn't tried to run at her and grab her or anything. Probably safe, so he might want to visit her when he returned to his mother. She did seem lonely. Maybe he should go to take her with him. He came over an area which he scanned, taking in music which apparently was some mixture of Celt and Bhutanese. Things must have changed a lot. Without his mother about he had taken to maturing himself mentally, accessing the storehouse of information within his head to take in the views. And here was something new. Well, not really new... Tinkerbell? "Hi." Adam responded, smiling and waving. "Can I find work here?"

"Work?" the elf blinked, "Uhm, sure, I could use some help around the house if that is what you mean. I do not have a lot to offer you in terms of money, but I can prepare a bed for you and I'm sure I can get together enough food for both of us."

She seemed a bit timid compared to practically all the other women on the planet, at least at first. It might have had something to do with his bear costume, but she didn't seem too keen on getting close to him just yet. Instead, she seemed rather surprised that he was here at all, let alone asking for work of all things.
