Masters Daughter (DE666 & I)

The tiger felt a bit honored, his teacher had really regarded him with high hopes. It felt like yet another yolk had been put on his shoulders. He had his own ambitious, plus his promise and goal to protect Kira, now he knew his Master wished him to be a fine student. He felt like the responsible one all of a sudden, it was a new feeling, not a horribly bad feeling either. "I will do my best not to let you down sir," he said bowing gently. He felt bad for his weary teacher, he however did not wish to worry, to make him feel old, though he was more then willing to help the old fox if he ever asked.

He nearly jumped as Dai had more to say. His training would change? His diet too? How would a diet change the results? Was he to be given some special medicine or herbal mixture to unlock his energy? His eyes widened more as he spoke of his daughter. He knew she was a great warrior, he would even say the very best, aside from the Masters....most of them....a few. "I will sir...I will not fail you," he said he felt like he had just received a blessing of sorts, though he had never asked for one. He did not have the heart though to watch his Master struggle. "Sir...do you need assistance?" he asked very gently, as if someone would over hear and suddenly strike thinking Dai was in a weakened state.

At Yuuto's question about needing assistance, the fox shook his head slightly. "I'm fine." he said, brushing off the offer. "Go and relax, get ready for dinner or something." he tells him as he walked out of the room, continuing to walk. While he appreciated the offer, he was stubborn and didn't often accept help from others. Luckily his daughter hadn't inherited that trait from him. She was more likely to accept help then he was. After leaving the dojo, Dai made his way towards his rooms to relax his leg.

((Sorry so short. >.< ))

Yuuto nodded and bid his Master a farewell, he thought to train some more, and find another room being unused, but he also knew that relaxation would be best if he sat in peace and quiet. So returned in the direction of his room and headed over there. He walked slowly, giving himself time to ponder on the days event. He was happy both Shwee and Dai thought him ready to go further in training. It truely was something he had not expected to hear in a while, but his focu had grown, gotten better. Now he simpoly needed to rekindle that ability and prove his worth. He then let himself think of what Zhao had done.

He sat down and thought how the leopard had done this with good intentions, but the proess also left him unable to really focus anymore. His body could go through the training, but his mind was not in it anymore it felt like. "Like a puppet," he thought. He sat and took deep breaths. He though of Kira, and tried to forget about what had happened today, but it was hard to, he had wanted this, wanted that intimate closeness. He sighed and tried to sleep instead.

((I'll do the skip here))

Over the next couple days things were fairly tense and awkward around the dojo, Kira suddenly becoming more withdrawn and only being seen coming and going from her lessons, not even taking dinner with the others anymore. Finally Dai got tired of the avoidance and he told Kira and Yuuto that they were to go into town and do a couple errands for him. And while they were at it, they were to over come whatever it was that was making things awkward, having finally reached his limit with how much it was interfering with their training.

With a sigh, Kira stood at the gate awaiting Yuuto. She was dressed in more casual clothing then she usually wore around her home, having taken to dressing a lot like her mother used to. At home she wore kimonos and all sorts of older dresses and outfits, but away from home she wore the more modern things. At the moment she was wearing a simple white and purple knee length dress with simple sandals with a purse in hand. Thankfully the material of her dress pressed her breasts down a bit so they didn't look as large as they usually did but it did show off her cleavage a bit.

Yuuto had noticed her lack of, appearences, he wondered if perhaps things had gone too wrong and she resented him. He had developed a small habit of giving Master Zhao a very stern look each time they met, at first he had almost been thankful, now he secretly harbored blame to the old leopard, thinking he had ruined his chances forever. It affected his training. He did not come to a stand still, it was just his progress had begun to slow once more, rather then catching on to new techniques and patterns quickly, he just began to get new things and at times would mess up more often. It was clear with both his Masters he was slipping, and his focus was shattered.

It wasn't until he was told to run errands with her that he felt a small glimmer of hope, but a deep feeling of dread all at once. He decided not to wear his uniform, instead wearing a nice pair of pants, and a cotton buttoned shirt, it was sutable clothing for light training, but also for more social things. It had the look of the dojo, so he represented them at all times. He went to the gate to see her there. Of course even if she tried to dress modestly he still saw her as stunningly beautiful. "Hello...should we get going?" he asked her, he wanted to compliment her on her appearence, but he did not have the boldness to say so, and kept the thoughts to himself.

When Yuuto approached her, she had her back to him and her ears twitched when she heard his footsteps. After he got closer, she turned her head and looked at him, some of her bangs falling in her eyes. While she normally left her hair down, that day she had her hair pulled up into a high ponytail, yet with it pulled up so high, it still reached almost to her mid back. She heard him greet her and she bowed slightly. "Hello." she said gently before nodding slightly at his question about going. "Yes, Mistress Tanya has asked for a couple of things that she needs and it's best not to keep her waiting." Mistress Tanya was a strange creature in Kira's opinion. She was a panther that specialized in smaller weapons that could be hidden upon a person. Kira was training with her more often now that she was pretty much finished with her sword training.

He nodded in agreement. "So what does Mistress Tanya need?" he asked, he had not been told, only that he was to go with Kira, and of course to get over with whatever was causing the two to be so out of shape in there training. He wasn't sure if he should bring it up, though he wanted to talk about it he decided so early in the day was no good. He assumed she knew where she was going as well so he would let her lead and he follow. (sorry for short reply)

She faultered a little in responding before clearing her throat and speaking. "She needed a bottle of clove oil." she said softly. "As well as a couple of private items. But some of the other teachers need things. Items for caring for weapons and such. Father also wants us to put in an order for food to be delivered from the market to the dojo." As she spoke, Kira walked along, her ears twitching slightly with their footsteps. She realized that he was following and she turned slightly. "You can walk at my side Yuuto." she told him with a flick of her tail.

Yuuto nodded and walked closer to her, his tail swayed side to side slowly, "Alright....it say it best to maybe split up...but then again you know the list of things more," he said. The market was usually busy during thistime of the day. He could smell many different things, food, animals, and even some freshly prepared leather for clothing and weaponry. He knew Shwee required oils to care for the steel of his swords, to keep them clean and sharp. He sniffed the air catching the smell of perfumes and sweet things too. He however was not paying much attention of everything around them.

After he moved to her side, Kira could feel the slight breeze from his tail swaying and she smiled slightly before looking at him. "No, you're right. We could split up for a little while. That way it gets done faster and it won't take all afternoon." she told him. "You could go to the butcher and to the grocer and let them know to deliver the usual to the dojo. They'll know what to send. And while you do that I'll go get Mistress Tanya's things and then we'll meet up and continue together."

She glanced at him, feeling her face heat up a bit before she smiled slightly then looked away as they entered the market. She loved all of the sights, sounds and smells of the marketplace. As the moved a little further into the Market, her tail began swaying as well, occasionally brushing against his as she smiled a little wider.

He walked beside her for a time, feeling his tail brush against hers gently. When they walked to where they would need to split up he looked to her "Alright...I'll go make the orders for the dojo...should we meet back in an hour perhaps?" he asked her. He knew it would not take very long, but he also thought to look for things as well. That and he rarely came to the market, he secretly had a desire to explore for a bit.

At the spot where they would need to split up, she paused and looked at her companion as he told her that he would go make the orders and she nodded, agreeing to meet back at the spot in an hour. "Okay. Sounds good to me." she told him with a small smile. "Be careful and have fun." She smiled at him a little more before she looked around. "I'll probably be done a little sooner then you, so I'll be over there in that shop." She pointed to a small jewelry shop a little further down before opening her bag and pulling out a piece of paper. "If the butcher and grocer ask, tell them to charge the account and show them this." She handed Yuuto a paper that had the seal of her family as well as her fathers signature.

He took the paper seeing the symbol and signature. He grinned and gave her a nod "Alright," he stated and watched her turn to go and run her errands before he turned to do the same. The vendors seemed to want everyone to buy something. Staring or window shopping seemed to adjitate many of them. He followed his nose to the butchers, smelling the freshly cut meat, it made his mouth water a little, but he truthfully was not hungry. "I need the usual delivered," he said seeing a large leopard with a blood stained apron seemingly trhere to take orders or sell goods. He handed the paper to him, he gave a small nod as if he already understod and handed it back.

He found it rather strange how easy that was. He guessed they where done so now he went to find the grocer. It was that simple too, handing the slip to a very old Vixen who gave him a pleasent hello. That seemed like rare behaior around here. "Alright dear...tell ytour Master everything will be settled," she said before giving him a farewell.

Once he took the paper, she turned and disappeared down one of the paths, making her way easily through the crowd in the market, occasionally stopping and greeting someone or to look at something that caught her eye. Kira was well known in the area just like her father. It didn't take her too long to procure the clove oil that Mistress Tanya wanted. Kira was glad that the teacher had told her how much the oil normally went for because the weaselly vendor tried to cheat her. However, it was still a bit pricey for such a small bottle. With that in hand, she continued to fetch the items that Tanya wanted, occasionally grabbing other items that the other teachers wanted before returning to the meeting spot.

As she walked, she became aware of someone following her, the fur on the back of her neck standing up as she weaved through the crowd. Just as she got close to it, she gasped when she was suddenly grabbed and pulled a little off the path. "Let me go!" she yelped angrily, turning sharply only to come face to face with the wolf that she'd cut just a few weeks ago and she growled as he grabbed her arms tightly in his hands. The vixen didn't want to start a fight, not wanting to harm others. "I told you to watch your back fox." he growled while pulling her closer, leaning in and sniffing her fur. "Release me you mutt." she hissed before yelping when he hit her, back handing her.

Yuuto had gotten a bit side tracked, one vendor sold many strange artifacts and weapons, all very pricey but still interesting. He saw blades as big as he was tall, some strange devices that looked like miniature cannons, but small enough to hold onto with both hands. He saw blades of all shapes. Once he tore his eyes away though he forgot how he had gotten there. He looked around, finding familiar markers for himself to follow, and within the hour he was at the spot. He looked at the stand where she said she might be, but was surprised to see her not there.

"Kira?" he called out, but got no reply. He waited a minute, but he grew anxious. He knew she had gone the other direction. He went that way and sniffed. He thought he could smell her, but with so much in the air he could hardly tell her from another vixen. As he walked though he did smell something. "Wolves..." he muttered, his mind grew razor sharp as he remembered the scent. He felt stupid to drop his guard now. He searched franticaslly for her, asking a few vendors, some having seen her. He followed where they pointed.

There was a crowd beginning to form where the two were, Kira's growls mixing with the wolves snarls. A couple of others wanted to help the girl but they were too afraid of who the wolf was to do anything. "You dirty dog! Get your paws off of me!" came her sharp voice. "How dare you lay a single finger on me?" This was followed by a crash as she was shoved into a couple of crates, knocking a couple over before she snarled at the wolf that was approaching her. As he got closer, she suddenly lunged at the wolf and swiped at him, leaving cuts in his clothing as she began using her claws. "Oh yeah. You're definitely a spit-fire." he laughed. "The boss will really love you." This just served to irritate the vixen even more.

He saw a few people rush by him, over hearing a fight or something. He didn't know why but he knew he would find her there. He rushed to see a small gathering, a ring almost, he knew they where not trying to keep her in, but there rubber neckingwas making it so she could not get out. "Move...damnit!" he growled, and several moved quickly out of his path. He soon entered the circle as well, and he let out another string of rough roars, getting the wolfs attention before swiping at him with an open palm. Claws extended as well, his palm strike cut deep into her garbs at the same time.

Kira glanced around frantically as she swiped at the wolf, her claws and fangs flashing as she laid her ears back. After she swiped at the wolf, he decided to swipe back and she felt a light sting before glancing down briefly to see a cut in her dress at her side and a small shallow cut. She glared at the male that was circling her. "Bastard." she hissed. A moment later she heard a familiar roar and her ears lifted a bit as Yuuto entered the ring, glancing at him as he swiped at the wolf. She quickly moved, watching as the wolf turned all of his attention on the tiger. The wolf paused and his ears flicked back a bit at the sight of Yuuto before he growled angrily at the interruption and he barely pulled back to avoid much damage from the tigers claws. The expression on his face clearly said he hadn't been expecting to see Yuuto.

With a growl, the wolf changed tactics and began attacking Yuuto, using his claws when he was close or attempting to use his fangs when he was even closer. He knew he was fighting dirty, but it was his way of doing things. That was why he attacked Kira from behind.

Yuuto bared his teeth at the wolf, his teeth much larger then the canines. "Filthy speck!" he roared down at him again. He did not fight with teeth though, that was to feral, but to use claws, well Dai had taught him his hands, be them the back, palm, and even claws, where weapons to use. Had he had his sword this fight would have ended, but he knew to shed needless blood was something very much looked down upon. He dodged away from the wolfs snapping jaws. He at one point even raised his hand just as the wolf bit at him, and clocked him right on the chin with the back of his paw. He felt pretty good about himself, thinbking this fight was a bit one sided, he focused once more, but he felt rage inside. He could smell the blood spilt, and he knew this wolf had ambushed the vixen.

The tiger swung his arms in an arc, bashing the wolf in the head with a fist. The sweeping motion was very clumsy, but it was hard to fight properly in a crowd for the larger feline.

When he was hit on the chin, the wolf yelped and staggered backwards, feeling at least one of his fangs chip and he touched his jaw at the pain now racing through it. "Lousy cat." he barked back before another yelp escaped him when Yuuto hit him in the head with a fist. This sent him staggering backwards, his head spinning. The wolf knew that he wasn't going to win this one, but he'd at least cause some damage before going down. With a sneer, he quickly reached into his pocket and drew out a knife before swiping at Yuuto, the knife catching his arm and leaving a gash. As he did this, a large figure broke through the crowd. It was a large ox, much like the one that taught at the dojo. "That's enough!" he bellowed before snatching up the wolf with ease, his hand grabbing the back of his neck and lifting him off the ground.

The ox words at one of the butchers shops moving large pieces of meat and cutting them up. It was also well known that even though he was allies with the wolfs boss, he loathed dirty fighting. "Shaun, you should be ashamed." he growled at the wolf. "Just you wait until I tell your teacher. Fighting dirty." He could be heard scolding the wolf as he dragged him through the crowd. Once they were gone, Kira looked at Yuuto quickly before hurrying to his side. "Y-you're hurt." she said softly.

Yuuto grinned as the wolf staggered, he was feeling very confident in himself, perhaps a bit to much that he did not even notice the wolf reach into his pocket. It wasn't until he saw the flash of metal it was too late. The knife hit deep, sling along his arm, it cut through to the muscle and even cleaved into an artery. He let out a hiss of pain, his arm exploding in agony as a ripple of blood leaked from it. He could move it, but only barely. He was anticipating another cut, but it never came, the deep bellowing voice did and at first he thought it to be another enemy. He was ready though, but saw an ox come and drag the wolf by the scruff of his neck. The blood was flowing quiet freely now, and he felt a bit dizzy as his blood pressure dropped from the sudden lose.

"I'm...fine," he muttered gently though he slumped to his knees. It was not a life threatening wound, well unless left to bleed out like it was. He had smaller cuts from the wolfs claws, but those hardly bled or where already caking with dried blood. No his arm however hurt like fire. "Have to...stop it....." he said and held a paw over it as if it would hold back the blood long enough to get to the dojo, but he could hardly walk from the pressure drop.

Kira was relieved when the ox came to drag off the wolf. As Yuuto muttered that he was fine then slumped to his knees, she followed, falling to his knees next to him as she gazed at him. "You're not fine." she insisted before grabbing the edge of her skirt and tearing a strip off of the bottom of it. Once she had the cloth, she moved his paw and placed the fabric around his arm before tying it tightly. "We need to get you home." she told him with a frown. "And quickly. Zhao, despite being the pervert that he is, can help. Can you walk?" She gazed into his eyes, her own shining with worry for his health.

Yuuto looked at her, and saw the look in her eyes, the feeling of both happiness and remorse flooded him. He was glad she cared, but upset to make her make such a face. He nodded to her question and mustered the strength to get up and managed to walk steadily. "Make sure...I don't.....go the wrong way," he asked her, it felt like he was drained of energy, though it was no surprise, his white fur was now a deep red along his arm, the smell of the coppery fluid was strong too and he knew the cloth was only becoming saturated with more of it.

It seemed to take a long time, but finally he was outside the doors of the dojo. He couldn't muster the energy to open them thiugh, not as he bled out slowly now. "Thanks," he hissed to her softly though as they made it, it was then that he began to grow dim and then blinked out like a candle against a storm. He slumped against the large wood door and seemed to be asleep.

She grabbed his uninjured arm as he stood up, her body close to his as he told her to make sure he didn't go the wrong way. "Of course." she said softly, Gently she began to guide him back to the dojo, the crowd having quickly dispersed after the fight was stopped. She could smell his blood and it made her own head spin but she forced herself to focus as she led Yuuto towards home. When they finally reached the doors, she was about to push them open when he thanked her and slumped against the door and she gasped as she looked at him with a soft whine. "Yuuto?" she whispered before quickly pushing one of the doors open and yelling into the grounds of the dojo for help before returning to Yuuto's side. "Please don't die Yuuto." she said as she knelt next to him, running her fingers through his fur.

The teachers of the dojo quickly came to her after hearing her call. Upon seeing the tiger, Ryota quickly gathered him into his arms and carried him into the dojo to the healing room where Zhao began taking care of Yuuto's injury. When Yuuto next woke up, Kira was sitting at his bedside, her head resting against the edge of the bed while one of her hands held his, the fox having fallen asleep waiting for him to wake.

The tiger was out for some time, not conscious as he was picked up and brought into the healing room. It may have been a good thing he passed out, as Zhao may have suddenly gotten a sudden swipe across the face had the tiger felt his arm being handles. It was bandaged up properly, and a few herbs and such placed to help the healing and numb the pain. He stirred gently a few hours later, feeling himself oddly light headed as if he had held his breath for a very long time. His vision was blurry, and then he realized it was well into the night. He had to wait a few more moments before he could tell his arm was patched up, and then he felt in his good hand anothers. He looked to see her golden hair it was shimmering fainly in the moon light. He smiled softly, though it made his face hurt a little bit.

He softly moved a finger over her hand, but she was aslkeep, he wondered how long she had been there, worrying about him. Had he been well it might have brought a tear of joy to his eyes, but he still had little energy to even cry in happiness. Instead he sighed and stared at the dark walls of the room for a bit, unsure if he would slip back to sleep.
