He took a deep breath, his eyes shut and his legs crossed with his hands in his lap, cupped as if holding water in it, though in truth it was only to focus his thoughts and energy, imagining his palms slowly filling with life sustaining liquid, like a cup catching water. However meditation today did not come easy for Yuuto today. His mind would focus on his surroundings, however each time he tried to think of something, like the tranquil flowing of a stream, or the rolling hills of a grassy plain, his mind would slowly morph it into something, like her long golden hair, or her ample breasts in her kimono top. He gave a very dissatisfied groan and his eyes snapped open.

He could not think, his mind kept going to her. Yuuto had a major problem...he had a deep crush on the best student in the class. What made things worse, was she was hi masters daughter, and most likely would only be interested in a strong hardy male. Yuuto, though very kind and gentle, and listened well, was by far possibly the worst of all his masters students. He had hardly had much training, and even students who came to learn after he had they excelled faster then he. However living in the dojo made things worse, though it was in the guest house on the grounds, he hardly saw her aside from practice, or when he could glance a moment as she walked the halls. He gently thumped his head against the floor mats, the gentle thump thump thump not very loud. By the time he stopped it was already very close to dusk, the sun coming down out of the sky.

As he watched it set out the window, he decided something. "Master says to always seize the initiative," he told himself. He would then come out with it. He knew more then likely she would laugh at him, after all he was weak, but if he did not say a thing this feeling would eat him alive. "What do I have to lose anyways," he told himself as he got up, his white fur ruffling ever so slightly. His feet padded softly to the door and walked along the stone path to the main house/dojo where he was sure she would be training.

Kira's ear twitched slightly as she stood in a silent room. At least it would be silent if she had been a normal human. Because of her training and her heightened hearing, she could hear the slight rustle of fabric and the soft breathing of the teacher in the room with her. She was in the middle of one of her most dangerous lessons of the day. The fox was blindfolded, a strip of black fabric tied over her eyes so she couldn't see while she held a sword. This wasn't a practice sword. It was sharpened and could kill with ease. The teacher in the room had a sword like hers as well. This was to simulate a battle should she be unable to see. When she heard the movement of her teacher, the female moved with practiced ease, the move looking like a dance move as she swung the sword around in an arc and she felt it catch momentarily on something before hearing a soft grunt.

"Very good Kira." a male voice said. With a smile, she pulled off her blindfold and looked at her teacher with a sigh. Her teacher was a tall, well built ox furry. He was dressed in a simple fighting outfit in which there was now a hole in the side where her sword had caught him, the very tip of the sword having left a very shallow cut in his side. "Soon there will be very little that I can teach you." he said and she chuckled. "But you will always be my teacher." she told him fondly. The ox, who was named Ryota, had been her teacher since she was a small child, having started her with simple self control before training her in the actual art of fighting. There was a series of different teachers at the dojo, each one teaching something different.

Kira and Ryota turned as her father entered and she smiled brightly at the tall male, bowing to him in respect. "Ryota is right, child. Soon he won't have anything to teach you. Then you'll of surpassed your teacher." he said as he entered the room, his cane softly tapping against the wooden floor boards. Even though he walked with a cane, Kira's father was an impressive sight. Dai stood at nearly 6'8" with what many would claim the body of a god. If he were to be attacked, despite needing a cane, it was doubtful that he would loose. With a boy to the master of the dojo, Ryota excused himself to tend to the small cut, leaving them be. The two weren't alone for long however, their moment interrupted by the sound of footsteps as a group of men entered and Kira's father tensed when he saw them. They were a bunch of mean looking wolves.

Looking at them with disdain, her father glared while gently moving her behind him. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice a deep growl as he watched them begin to spread out a bit. While he might of been good at fighting, he wouldn't be able to take a group of fighters all at once. The one that was obviously the leader smirked before looking at Kisa who moved further behind her father. "We came for what is owed." he said.

Yuuto played the conversation in his mind as he walked toward the part of the building where he knew Kira would be. She was after all learning to hone her skills with a blade. He could hear Master Ryota leaving, his hearing much like hears was finely honed, though she was by far superior to him in every way. He was lithe for his species, but his Master always said size did not matter, though he at times felt that was simply because his Master was already a very large specimen for a fox, and was built like a tiger himself, though old he was indeed not one to meddle with. As he got closer he could smell something. "Wolves?" he thought to himself, he knew of no students who where wolves. Mainly they consisted of vulpine, vixen, oxen, and a few feline, though he was the only tiger, his species was very few after all.

He smelled the air more, he knew his Master was in there, as was Kira. She had a fragrent smell, though she wore no heavy perfume, her scent was always so nice to him. He strained his hearing more, and by the sounds of it there where about four or five as well as the other two. He hid, feeling like a coward for the moment as he did, but he knew his Master would be able to handle things, and he would only get in the way. " Stupid...you should go and get help.....Master Dai is old...and though he is strong he may not be able to hold off five wolves for long" he said and for the moment thought to go and seek help from the other Masters. However he paused as he heard one of them speak, and he grew curious. These men, where they tax collecters? Did the dojo owe money? He wondered and decided to look. He very slowly edged himself closer to the corner and gave a small glance. Yep there where five of them, and they where all young compared to Master, maybe no older then himself or Kira. However he saw what they wore, Jackets that had the symbol of a well known gang.

"Why are they here? Are they going to start trouble?" he thought as he quickly hide again behind the corner before he could be seen. He could not leave now, no even if Master Dai did fight, he would not win, these wolves would fight dirty, he knew it. He thought he could even spot one of them with the handle of a knife in his back pocket, these guys where cheating thugs, and would not fight honorably at all. Yuuto stayed silent listening, perhaps they would leave, if Dai owed money maybe he would just pay and be gone. He strained his ears even more, shutting his eyes to drown out distractions, only focusing on there conversation.

Dai softly growled at the implication of the wolfs words and he bared his teeth. He knew that his past would eventually come back to haunt him and so he had trained his daughter to be the perfect fighter. The fox knew that the girl would one day even surpass even himself because her training was started at such a young age. As his growl filled the room, some of the wolves ears laid back a little but the leader just laughed. "Are you trying to scare us old man?" he asked. The leader was a dark furred wolf of average height but he was well built. "You wouldn't stand a chance against all of us. So just give us what we came for..." He paused and looked Kira up and down then looked at Dai again. "And we won't have to hurt you."

His words and actions made the other wolves yip with laughter and Dai's grip tightened around the handle of his cane. However, before he could say anything Kira moved forward a bit so she was standing slightly in front of her father. "You bunch of bullies. Thinking you can just strut into a place as if you own it and demand things." she said, her grip on her sword tightening as she stood there. While she didn't tower over the males and have huge muscles like her father, Kira was an impressive sight. Not only was she beautiful but everything about her screamed dangerous. As she stood there with her weapon, the leader looked at it with a slightly nervous look before smirking and chuckling.

"Fiesty. I'm sure the boss will enjoy her thoroughly." he said and her eyes widened. "Maybe he'll share his little prize with the rest of us." He turned his gaze to Dai with a malicious smirk. "She's a firecracker... just like her mother was." His last comment shocked everyone in the room to silence. Not many knew what had happened to Kira's mother. Her mother had been one of the most beautiful foxes in the area and she had many men seeking her favor before she married Dai. Just a few years ago however, she had been attacked while she was out and the shame of what had happened had caused the fox to take her own life. It was something like a silent rule that she wasn't mentioned around Dai because it was still a sensitive subject for the older fox.

He listened to this, he heard his Master growl and began to believe things would be alright. Master Dai could probably talk his way out if not fight, after all he knew his master to have a very gifted silver tongue and had the intensity to back up any threat or in some cases even silent as misbehaving student with a glance. He however felt his hopes sink a bit as he heard one of the wolves seemingly shrug off his Masters mild threat. He listened and once more grew curious as to why they where hear. His anger flared a bit as the wolf called his Master 'OLD man' how dare they. They showed so little respect even to someone of Dai's stature, his name was well known around the area, he would not be surprised if the whole country knew who the great fox was. However he thought perhaps there boss, was a force to be reckoned with if they could so easily scoff at his idol.

His eyes widened as he heard the gentle foot steps, and then heard the sweet sound of her voice, though of course she did not sound so sweet as she stood up for her father. He could heard the click of metal and knew she was armed, she was nearly just as indimidating with her blade as Dai was without, though of course despite her intense nature, he at times would not be able to look away, either allured by it, or so captivated and terrified he would simply stare, though she had not given him such a look in some time, the first and only had been when he accidentally interrupted her training. He listened to her and knew she would fight, he had hoped she had left, silently sneaking away before things happened, but no she had been the silent beauty she was.

His teeth gritted as the wolf replied in turn. " Fiesty]!" he thought once more not amused by there lack of regard. Kira was not just fiesty, she was dangerous....to be regarded as near high esteem as her father. His fist clenched, adrenaline was pumping. The only thing that monentarily shocked him back to a stupor was there mention of Kira's mother. He had earned his master anger one day when he was young, he saw a painting of the beautiful vixen in a room, one he had not been allowed into but had accidentally stumbled upon. Dai had been angry when he asked the following day about the image. He then had tried to coax the story from the other masters, but they had given him little, and he began to wonder what had happened, it seemed though the rumors in town he over heard may have had some truth. He did not even realize his feet moving at this moment as he grew angry once more, implying Kira would be there prize.

It was not until he realized his Master was looking at him, that he knew he had walked out of cover, he was silent for such a large cat, though not as tall as Dai, he was taller then the wolves. The look of shock quickly vanished, they did not realize he was behind them. He coughed gently "I do not know why you are hear," he said his voice was very gentle, an interesting trait for a tiger "but if you are hear to start trouble may I ask you leave, or I will help you in departing," he said, the last few words had been laced with a gentle growl. Tigers, unlike lions, did not roar as loudly or as full but they did indeed growl and roar regardless. He did his best to look intimidating, it was not hard, despite his lack of skill, he was still impressive to look at, not to mention there where few tigers around, so not many wolves would get to tangle with one most likely.

Kira forced herself not to flinch at the mention of her mother and she placed a hand upon her fathers arm in a comforting gesture. She knew it hurt him for people to just talk about the woman that he had lost but to have such blatant disrespect for the dead was even worse. The vixen had heard the rumors surrounding her mothers attack and she knew that someone from the wolves gang had been behind it, but they never had any proof other then word of mouth. While she glanced over her shoulder at her father, the leader of the wolves moved forward towards her and was about to reach towards her when her sword tip was suddenly against the tip of his nose. "Back... off." she said softly. When it came to her anger, it wasn't when Kira was loud and yelling that one should beware. It was when her voice was barely higher then a whisper and she had an unnatural calm about her that one should watch their back.

The wolf chuckled nervously and held up his hands. "Hey, cool it baby. I'd hate to mar that pretty face of yours." he said with more confidence then he felt and she turned her head to glare at him. She was about to say something when she heard footsteps and she looked over to see Yuuto appear and she bit back a groan. The white tiger was a nice guy, but since he wasn't very skilled at fighting, he could be a liability should a big fight start and she didn't want him hurt. As Yuuto began speaking, she swallowed softly as he told the group to leave and her fingers gripping the sword flexed a bit, her tail flicking back and forth sharply, showing that she was highly agitated with the group.

Turning to the new comer, several of the wolves looked a little nervous. The wolves were fairly young and new to the gang, but they knew that tigers of any kind were not to be trifled with. Not only that, they had never fought a tiger before so they didn't know anything about their fighting style. With a soft growl, the leader of the wolves snapped his fingers. "What ever. Lets get out of here." he said with a sneer towards the three before looking at Kira and Dai again. "Watch your backs. Our boss will have his little prize.... sooner or later." He began to turn before a loud yelp sounded and he was suddenly holding his cheek. When the other wolves looked at them again, Kira didn't seem to of moved but from the tip of her sword a drop of blood fell and landed on the floor. "You should watch your back." she said. With a growl, the wolves quickly retreated, leaving them alone once more.

Yuuto growled menacingly as the wolves seemed to flinch at his presence. He knew his bluff was working, he nearly smiled and laughed, but he kept the same steel gaze, trying his best to mimic his masters intensity. He had to keep himself from staring at her though. He had to keep his composure, arms crossed over his chest, though not as broad as most tigers, it was not like the wolves would know this. His eyes began to growl small, and the fur along his neck even flared up a bit, it made him look just a bit bigger, as if he was just swelling for a fight. Once he heard the leader order a retreat, he felt releif wash over him, though he kept on his appearence. He saw the sudden quick flash of silver, and knew Kira had let her blade fly, it was amazing how quick, though he did not gape with awe like he would have. He barred fangs, large ivory specimens that put what small teeth the wolves had to shame. As they scampered away and left he let his body relax.

He immediatly bowed down before them both, head down, back of neck exposed. "I apologize Master Dai.....Kira..." he said regarding her with the respect he gave her father. "I overheard the commotion while meditating," he lied "I thought....to help," he said. His words where again gentle, very strange for a tiger, though of course his name was a reflection of his true nature. He stood back up to lok at the two, though his eyes where more focused on her. She was the vision of beauty as always. No one knew of his secret feelings for her, at least he never voiced them aloud. Some might find it strange for a tiger to feel this way for a vixen....but it was not like he had a large choice of females, and well....even if it wasn;t common, he still would not deny his crush for her.

"Are you okay?" he asked, meaning for it to go for both, but it was more focused towards Kira. It was not that he thought her weak and frail, no one who wasn't an idiot would think that. He was more concerned about her feelings more so then physical well being. After all her mother had been mentioned, and though she was a warrior, he knew she was not unfeeling. No she was indeed a thing of poise when need be, though still emotional like everyone.

Once the wolves were gone and out of hearing, Kira sighed before flicking her sword, the rest of the blood falling to the floor before she pulled a cloth from her kimono and she quickly wiped the blade clean while Yuuto bowed before them and she turned her stern gaze upon him as he apologized to them. She was completely silent while her father moved forward so he was at her side, his cane tapping the floor being the only sound in the dojo. A moment later the sound of her sword sliding into it's sheath could be heard and she watched the tiger stand back up and she sighed. "What you did was very foolish." she said firmly. "While your heart was in the right place, you didn't think it through. If they had started a fight, you could of been hurt or worse. And one of us could of been hurt as well." A moment later she shook her head and looked at him, her blue eyes gentle. "I do not want you hurt Yuuto." she said softly.

It would be easy to see that she was still upset though she didn't show it in her body language, it showed in her eyes. After she'd lost her mother, she trained harder so that she could protect those around her if she could and Yuuto involving himself in a situation like the one they were just in put himself in danger. As if sensing her emotions, Dai placed a heavy but gentle hand upon her shoulder and her shoulders slumped a little, offering a glimpse of her more vulnerable side. "We are fine." Dai said, his voice deep and rough. "We are grateful for you help, even if someone doesn't show it well." he said, a fondness coloring his voice as he glanced down at his daughter.

Kira shrugged slightly. "Tch. As if those mutts could hurt us. Inu-bakas." she scoffed. Even though she spoke lightly about them, she realized the threat behind the wolves visit and their words. With a nod, Dai moved his hand. "I'll take my leave. I'm sure dinner will be ready soon." he said. Nodding to Yuuto, he turned and slowly made his way out of the dojo. Turning slightly, Kira watched her father leave and she faintly whined while her ears laid back a little when she saw that her father was walking slower then normal and his shoulders were slumped. Once he was gone, she bowed her head with a sigh.

Yuuto was taken a bit by her anger, though she was not as angry or threatening him like she had the wolves. He knew what he did was dumb, but he truthfully had not realized, hence the not thinking it through part of her lecture. However he was even more so surprised by her final words. He knew she probably did not feel the same way, nor would return his feelings, which had always been a deep pit in his stomach. He trained because he wanted to impress her, he trained to catch her eye, even though he struggled he tried. He wanted to learn, but more so to be someone to her. But knowing she worried about him, helped fill that hole in his stomach a bit more. If anything it made him smile, just slightly before answering her.

"I am sorry, your right I didn't think things through," he admitted, of all the students he was probably the most honest, not making excuses for his failures. "I just....I was worried too....I didn't want you to get hurt....either of you," he replied realizing her father was still there. He did not want to admit it before his Master, to admit his feelings for his daughter, but he had a strange feeling perhaps he knew. He however gave a small nod of his head, apologetically reflecting on his actions. "I knew I may not have been much help, if anything more of a nuisance then help, but I....moved on impulse...trusted my instincts," he said, it was something Dai always told him to do.

He would have laughed had he not felt bad about his actions. she seemed fearless, though he knew she was worried as they all where. As his master left he noticed the sluggish nature of the old fox to, but he was not so worried, as he was still in awe. He knew though age killed all warriors, no matter how strong. He saw her concern, and felt hesitant to speak. He however needed to say it...to say something. They where alone now to, it was the best opportunity. "Kira....I...I wanted to...say something to you..." he said gently, he imagined her laughing face, it cut him to the core, more so then the blade she carried could have, but he still waited for her to regard him once more.

Kira knew she was a little harsh, but it was something one of the other masters taught her. If a student was to learn anything, you can't coddle them and Yuuto needed to learn that his actions could of hurt someone. Once she was done speaking and he apologized while taking responsibility for his actions, she nodded slightly. If there was one thing that made her respect someone, it was honesty. "If you don't want us hurt. Think before you do." she told him. "Listen to your instincts, but think as well." The fox ran her fingers through her long blonde hair, feeling the silken locks before she pushed them back over her shoulder.

Hearing him say her name again, Kira turned to face Yuuto and she blinked while tilting her head. "Yes?" she said. She had the urge to run off to comfort her father, her mind never leaving the older fox. Her father may be a feared warrior and he might be strong and usually he was happy, but she knew that hearing those things that the wolves said had hurt him deeply. Shaking her head slightly, she focused on Yuuto again. "What did you have to say?" she asked, her ears twitching slightly as she stood there.

The vision of her standing there was breathtaking. She wore a knee length purple silk kimono with her sword tucked into her obi and she was barefoot. Her long silky tail lightly brushed the floor while her blonde hair fell down her back in a golden waterfall. If she wanted, she could probably join a career of modeling. It was something that many of the female friends she had, had told her.

Yuuto was taking in such a sight, he knew he was staring, and he let himself for a moment before he spoke. He found the words caught in his throat though, and he was afraid of the outcome. He had to do it though, if he couldn't now how could he ever? "I...I' he began and once more found it hard. "I have feelings for you....not simply as a student," he said to her and wondered how this looked to her. He could only see it as maybe humorous to her. "I, lied when I said I overheard the conversation happening, no I had come to tell you that I like you....maybe even more then that," he said and held his breath.

"Seeing those wolves...talk about you, I...I did what I did because of that," he stated, he could never admit in front of Master Dai. "I know this may be....out of line to admit this," he told her. He knew very well she must not have felt the same way, and even if she did he was certianly not the best pick for her. No he however laid it on the line then and there.

Kira did notice that he was staring but she didn't say anything about it as she waited for him to reply. When he finally began, she arched an eyebrow at him as he faltered at first before continuing. Whatever he was going to say, she certainly wasn't expecting this confession from him and her eyes widened a fraction as he admitted to having feelings for her that weren't those of a student. However, when he said he lied, she frowned. Everyone knew she disliked lying. But she was still too shocked to get angry. After he finished speaking, she sighed softly and turned from him a little, turning her head while a thoughtful look formed on her face.

"You put yourself, my father and myself in danger because of your feelings for me." she said slowly. Her tail slowly swayed back and forth. As she stood there, it was hard to read her emotions as she stood there. Honestly, she didn't know how to respond to his confession and for a moment as she looked at him again, it showed on her face. After a bit she turned to him again and sighed. "Yuuto.... I really don't know what to say." she told him, her voice soft and gentle. "You're a great guy but.... if today was any example, I don't think it's going to be safe to be around me until things are settled and you're going to end up hurt."

Yuuto did not hear a no right out. If anything her response was much better then he expected, after all he had expected her to laugh. Though being called a great guy was not exactly rwarding in itself, he had heard girls say this to men, it was always a "I am out of your league" sort of thing it seemed, but in her defense she was out of his league. Her worry for him was once more heartening. He did not mean to endanger them, no he only wanted to protect her. His eyes closed though as she finished, he knew she was being kind, but he did not want her kind words, deep down he wanted her admiration, her feeling to harmonize with his. He knew she was right though, being with her would be dangerous, but he knew that from the beginning.

"I..I understand," he said to her not looking up at her, he let out a deep sigh, he felt better for admitting his feelings, but now he wanted to show her his true mettle. "I will admit....I did not think you two to be in danger...I acte...to be the wall between two unstoppable forces," it was a metaphor for a martyr her father once said. "I thought my intervention would help, even if for only a moment...I am happy it did...." he said, none could deny he had scared them. "I also know that already...I know it's dangerous...but I do not mind," he admitted. "I....feel at ease regardless around you...even if I mess up when I am around you," he said with a sheepish smile. "But...if you worry about me...then..I will just have to make it so you need not anymore," he told her.

It may have sounded like he was leaving, but he put his fist to his chest over his heart "I promise I'll be worthy of being next to you...I'll get stronger," he told her he would have to be to protect her. "I will protect you from now on," he said, it was a bold statement. He knew it was probably very corny as well, but he meant it. "I...I think perhaps...I have spoken too much...and you yearn to go to your fathers aid...so...I will leave you to do that," he said and bowed and turned to leave.

After she told him that it would be dangerous with her, Kira looked at him completely. She felt bad that she couldn't currently return his feelings and her ears drooped a little when she heard his deep sigh. As he stated a metaphor that was one of her fathers, she smiled gently and nodded slightly. She wanted to say something but she let him continue uninterrupted. She was impressed at his determination to get stronger and she smiled a little more as he spoke. His declaration of protecting her from now on made her arch an eyebrow before softly chuckling, her blue eyes glittering gently. As he turned to leave, she moved forward quickly and gently grasped his hand with her own, being careful of her claws because she kept them sharp.

"Wait." she said gently. "My father needs some time to cool down for the moment." she told him. "He will be in the shrine praying. It's best for me to let him be for now." Whenever her father got upset over something, he always went to her mothers shrine to pray and meditate. "I want to thank you for your intervention earlier. I know I don't seem grateful, but I am because there would of been much blood shed I'm sure if you hadn't intervened and I have little doubt that even though most of it would of been the wolves, some of it would of been mine and my fathers."

Slowly Kira released his hand and folded her hands in front of her. For a long moment she just looked at him with a thoughtful look on her face. "Your training... what have you learned so far?" she suddenly asked, her stance shifting slightly from a relaxed one to a slightly more serious stance even though she wasn't aware of it. "What are you learning right now?"

Yuuto blinked as she stopped him, the rush of excitement of her holding his hand rippled through out his body. Never had she done this, and he knew it meant little but he cherished the moment. He listened to her wisdom. "Your welcome," he replied in earnest glad to get a thank you, it only made him feel better about his intervention. Though he knew doing so again without a plan would be fatal, if not for his life, but for her scorn. He smiled lightly, his claws too where sharp, however he could retract them, there was no risk of harming her.

He was surprised when she asked of his training. He guessed her father did not speak openly of it, he was unsure if he should be thankful, or feel he was that much a disappointment. "Your Father.....Master Dai...is teaching me control," he replied. His weakness was not the lack of strength, but the lack of focus to use it. He had to admit though, he could not get her out of his mind at times. "He has taught me to use my givenn strength...but even with it i can't focus it to make it effective...aside from perhaps a street brawl, where guts and wild strikes fit in nicely to.....two children scuffling," he said much like her father had. "I lack control."

Kira nodded slightly as he spoke before she took a step back and waited for his reply to her question on his training. Her father spoke with the other teachers about his students training and he sometimes spoke with his top students. However, he did not speak with her about them. He did not want to distract her from her teachings. Especially at the stage she was currently at. One moment of distraction during her training could prove fatal for her, her sparing partners or her teachers. As if she could read his mind at the moment, she smiled slightly. "Do not feel offended that my father has not spoken to me about your training. He doesn't speak with me about anyone's training but my own." she said. "At the stage I'm currently at, I must have as little distraction as possible or someone could get hurt."

When he went on to tell her about his training, she stood there, much like a mentor would a student, nodding slightly while listening to his words. His mention of lacking control made her smile slightly and she nodded again. "Control is a fickle thing. It's different for everything. What do you do to focus?" she asks him. "Or what often distracts you from focus?" Even though no one but the teachers knew it, Kira had gone through a period where she could not focus at all and many were almost to the point of giving up before she finally figured everything out for herself and when she did, she returned to her training with a vigor and fire that surprised many of the teachers.

He understood her explination, he felt better as well that he was not the topic of conversation. He also knew much of her training, alot of it was blind fighting, and he knew Master Ryota, had a bit to go against, it seemed they even fought with naked sharpened blades, it was the pinnacle of control. He however did not follow her path of the swrd, but rather of the first and power of ones focus, like her father. He also was offered to learn the use of the broad sword, by Master Shwee, he was a rat, another rare animal hear, whats more he wielded a sword nearly as big as he was tall, but it was amazing a small individual could be a master swords man with such a weapon.

He felt himself grew nervous as she asked how he does. "I meditate daily...well...try too," he said. "I try to think of...calming things when I do...I tend to act rash..obviously," he said, if the events of today where not a dead gice away already. He felt himself flush though when she asked what distracted him, he was afraid to say it was her, she may think it best not to let him see her, or worse not talk to him. "I...Have things on my mind alot," he said, he knew however he could not hide that these things where mainly her.

Her eyes narrowed a little. It wasn't from her emotions, but from thinking, a thoughtful look forming on her face as he told her what he did to focus and she tapped her chin thoughtfully. She did notice that he was rash and from what she'd seen on the few times she'd witnessed his lessons in passing, he did have problems focusing and concentrating. After a couple minutes of just studying him with a thoughtful look on her face, she nodded to herself as if confirming something with herself. "I think I know what your problem is." she said. "You try to hard to focus and concentrate. I'm guessing you follow everything my father teaches you to a T, right? Including how to relax for meditation and focusing."

She moved to the rack against the one wall and she slid her sword and sheath out of her obi, setting it down carefully before turning to him again. "What I'm going to tell you does not leave this room." she said suddenly. "Do I have your word?" She looked at him with a serious look on her face. Kira knew that she took too many things seriously. It was actually Master Zhao's favorite thing to tease her about. Zhao was a teacher on building body strength and speed, but he also taught art to those interested and had the talent like him. He was a leopard who was laid back and always cheerful, but he was also a very big pervert, so he was always making playful passes at her and the only female teacher in the dojo. He was infamous around the area with many stories of him being beat up for being a pervert.

He for a moment felt naked as she studied him, she had the same pondering look Dai had, it always made him wonder if even his own thoughts weren't safe in his head. He wanted to take a step or two backwards to help distance himself from her mind probing gaze, but when she suddenly seemed to realize his issues he gulped. However she did not say it exactly. He sighed once more, though quietly this time. He nodded softly "Yes...well...it's hard not to take everything one says to heart...especially from your father," he said, he would admit he was intimidating. "I....just assume doing as he tells will work out," he says, though he felt bad for not being honest right then either.

He watched her remove her sword, her kimono did little to hide her back from him, and he eyed her curves for the breifest of moments. 'I'm not better then Master Zhao..." he thought to himself as she turned around and he snapped to attention as if she had cracked a whip. He was curious of what she would say, it was like getting a cheat sheet to an exam. "Yes of course..." he said "I promise not to breath a word of well...any of this," he said, meaning the fact he had confessed as well, he however would not ask her to do the same.

Kira nodded again with a chuckle when he said he assumed doing as he would told would work and she smiled slightly. "For most students, it does. However there are some students who have so much on their minds that it's impossible to just clear their minds and focus." she said. After turning back to him, she bowed her head slightly in thanks after he promised not to breath a word of anything to anyone. "Good." she said. Of course, even though he wouldn't ask her not to say anything to anyone, she most likely wouldn't. For a long moment she just stood there before taking a deep breath and sighing. "When I started my training, I had no problems focusing and concentrating, much like the other students. However, after my mothers attack and her death, it all changed." she said slowly. It was clear it was hard for her to talk about, the fox looking a little uncomfortable.

"No matter what I did, I could not focus on my studies in school nor my training with my masters. My mother was always on my mind, no matter what. I couldn't force her form my thoughts and wipe my mind blank like I used to." she told him. "My teachers were on the verge of giving up on me. Finally I found out what to do. I did it all on my own. Instead of trying to wipe my mind blank and forcing my thoughts away, I embraced them. I picked the thought that always at the front of my thoughts and used that as my focus point. I found out that if I stopped trying so hard and just... focused on that one thought, every other thought went away." She smiled slightly as she thought of something before looking at him again. "My mother is that thought. It's gotten easier since then, but she still helps me to focus. Perhaps you should do the same. Use the one thing that's constantly on your mind to help you focus."

Yuuto listened to her special method of focus, finding it to be interesting, however he also found a small problem with it. Unlike her having something to fight for he however hadno family, he was an orphan, found by a family of travelers and left at the step of a monk temple. He then was seen by one of the Masters here and talen in. He was among the few students that lived here, not having a home to go back to at nights. Most saw it as strange, but several of the Masters had been kind enough to want him to stay, be it because they had shown pity on a small tiger cub, or because perhaps he would be a fine addition and replacement for one of them in the future. He didn't know why he was allowed to stay, but he had always been grateful for it. But now he knew that her method may be harder then he thought. His mind was on her, and using her as a focal point would cause....other emotions to arise, other feeling to occur.

He nodded softly, and he wondered what to say "Thank you," he bowed his head. "I.....will give that a try," he answered, he would,but he wasn't certain it would work very well. He knew it might take a lot of time to figure out what his focus should be, be it her, or perhaps his goals, or maybe even pondering finding his birth parents, though in truth he had come to peace with that, npot having any was easier then wondering if he had. He did however feel sad she struggle to speak of her mom, deep down he wondered if he could count himself lucky not to have such feelings, he had no parents, thus he felt no pain when speaking about them. He could not enjoy a mother and father like she did, or had.

After he thanked her, she smiled gently with a nod. "It might not work. But all you can do is try." she tells him. For a moment she thought before smiling a little more. "If you need ideas for something to focus on, how about your promise to protect me?" Her eyes glittered gently as she stood there. "But remember, don't try so hard. That's one of your problems." Her tail swished behind her as she stood there watching the cat. She decided that even though she had her own training to focus upon and she had to worry about the stupid wolves, she would take more notice of how Yuuto's training was going and see if there was anything she could do to help him in the future. If he was going to intervene in things like he had today, she wanted to make sure that he was well protected and that he would be able to protect himself.

Suddenly a bell tolled and she looked at the door before grabbing her sword again and tucking it into her obi once again. "Come. Sounds like dinner is to start soon." she said to him. With a soft sigh she moved towards the doors and wrinkled her nose a little. "The smell of those wolves is lingering." she said blandly with a frown, looking down to see a couple red dots upon the wooden floor outside of the dojo, feeling a sense of pride that she had injured the one that was so insulting and disrespectful towards her family.

Yuuto nodded , still silent as he tried to turn the thought of simply her into one of more...noble measure. He would need to ponder later, but now as the bell tolled, his body needed food. "Yeah...thats a good idea," he replied before she went to get her sword. He had been smelling the wolves for some time as well. Of course being in her precense had covered over the scent of opium, and alcohol he got from some, not to mention just the sheer musk of those filthy canines, though of course he did not hate all canines, as he watched his item of affection move towards the dor and admire her small handy work before leaving and he following behind. He allowed himself to look at her, admiring her once more, but he tried to now focus not on just her curves and body, but simply her, he needed her to be his goal, not his distraction.

At dinner he sat where he always did, which was not next to her, or much, it was closer to Master Shwee, the old rat seemed to really like him, he found it ironic a rat and a cat would get along. Whats more he noticed the Master had his infamous blade tucked next to him as well. He always had a small inner joke, that the old rat slept with the sword, much like a child with a teddy bear. He had his ears open while they ate wondering if the subject of those wolves would come up.

(Shall we time skip?)

With him following her, Kira made her way to the dinning room where most of the others were already gathered. Kira made her way along the table and sat down in her usual spot, between her father and Master Zhao, the leopard grinning when he saw the large breasts fox sit down next to him. It wasn't too often that Kira actually joined the others for dinner, usually taking her dinner alone after a long day of practice. There was a tenseness in the air, the teachers already knowing of what had happened between their top student, Dai and Yuuto and the wolves. Within minutes of her sitting down however, Zhao was holding her throbbing cheek while everyone laughed at him, the feline having been slapped for being a pervert. However, even though he was rubbing his sore cheek, he was grinning and laughing as well while Kira just sat there eating calmly.

((Yeah. To what?))

After dinner Yuuto excused himself, he went to his small room and sat, he didn't mean to be rude, but his mind was dead set on trying to learn focus. It was over an hour as he shut his eyes to think that there was a gentle knock on his door. He wanted to ignore it but he knew that would only seem the more rude. He got up to answer it, though at first he did not see anyone before looking down and seeing the old rat once more. "Good evening Master Shwee," he said with a small bow. The rat however waved his hand "So formal...gets annoying....just call me Shwee unless anyone else is around," he said while walking in sword over shoulder. He had a cloth wrapped parcel with him to. "So you want to be a hero huh....win the fair maiden heart hmmm?" he asked, Yuuto was about to ask how he knew before he caw the rats ears twitch and chuckle "They work far better then you know....." he replied. He threw the silk wrapping at the tiger, who caught it though not realizing it was so heavy he nearly dropped it. "Hero needs a sword...treat it with respect...we start tomorrow." Shweee said before leaving without a word.

~~~~(weeks later)~~~~
Yuuto's training had improved after the wolves had shown, since then there was no sign of them, though at times he swore he could smell theiur faint odor at night, as if they where spying on the Dojo. He now trained with Dai and Shwee, the silk wrapped gift had been a large broad sword, it's curved blade dull at the moment, and the unbladded back had eight holes meant for large heavy rings to be attached to to improve ones strength. He had struggled for a short time since the wolves had shown. Focus had been hard as he now tried to open his mind to Kira's image, that and the rat liked to really tease him about his love interest. "Strange for a cat to like a dog," he would say, even though it was truely tiger and fox.
Once he managed to think clearly though with her in his thoughts, he could clearly focus and his training began to become more and more of a simple matter, though at times he still returned to his rom, tired, hurting, and near fainting from now training with Dai and Shwee, neither seemed to want to hold back on him anymore.
