Beauty for the Beast [with nightsorceress]

Michael smiled, as he watched her survey the valley, "This land would be yours and all that went along with it. Even Wambaugh would continue to serve you, he has been quite loyal to me, and I can tell he is happy that you are here." He pointed to the building that was the winery, located outside the village. "There's where we are going next, " as he moved his horse along the trail that went down the mountain, and connected with the main road that made it's way through the valley. There were two wagons being loaded with wine, both were orders for places outside the valley.

"well perhaps i can help Wambaugh with the cooking and sort" she smiled as she followed him down the trail to the winery and village. "I have never seen a winery this large. I guess being in a valley must be great for growing grapes to be able to produce so much wine" she as they drew closer to the winery

"This was a natural place to have a winery, grapes do quite well in this climate," he nodded as he pointed to the huge fields of grapes near the winery. We also have a field out at the estate, but the others are here." He rode by the two wagons being loaded with crates of wine that were ordered by their owners. He walked his horse towards the village, "I am sure Wambaugh would love you to help him around the house," he smiled, though you are our guest and don't have to do that. But I will leave that up to you."

" I would certainly love helping, after all you were kind enough to allow me to stay with you I have todo something in return" she looked around the village it seemed so nice, she did not expect to find such a place in the mountains like this. "this is such nice little village you must enjoy coming here"

Michael nodded, "Yes I do, the people are quite friendly, and they do appreciate the jobs the winery provides." He reined up his horse, and dismounted, tied the reins to a hitching post. He got out the list of items that Wambaugh needed, and gave part of the list to Aurora along with a small pouch of coin. "That list is at the spice shop down the street. I will get the things he needs from the general merchantile. We'll meet back here." He then kissed her lips softly, and headed in the direction of the general merchantile.

Aurora dismounted her horse and took the piece of paper. She nervously bit her lip as she wondered to find the shop. She looked around as she walked it was a very nice village and she could see herself visiting often with Michael. She finally found the shop and went inside to purchase the spices need

The owner of the spice shop, a short statured man named Ives, heard the bell ring over the door when Aurora walked in. He wore a pair of brown leather pants, and a white shirt partially covered by an open matching brown vest. He smiled when he saw her walk in, "Welcome, what can I get you. I have not seen you before, so if you need any assistance, please ask." He then took the list of spices, and started to find them for her.

Aurora looked up as she heard the mans voice. She smiled kindly at him, "oh thank you for the help, I am here visiting a friend he owns an estate just over the mountains" she did not know how many people knew Michael so she kept it general.

Ives nodded and went about the shop, gathering up the spices on the list for her. He would glance at her discreetly from time to time, as he made his way about the front part of the shop, and then to the back area, that was divided by a beaded curtain. He finished getting the spices, put them in a pouch and then totaled up the bill for her. Behind the curtain a second set of eyes watched Aurora from out of sight, while Ives waited on her behind the counter.

Aurora was very relieved when Ives too the listed and found the spices she needed. Although the shop was not that large she would still need sometime to find all she needed. She looked around the shop a little as Ives went to the back. As he returned she walked up to the counter and paid him. "thank you for all your help today." she smiled warmly and then let his shop returning to the hitching post

Ives watched Aurora leave the shop, and the mysterious stranger appeared from the beaded curtain. He stood behind the counter with Ives, and then handed him some coin, "Many thanks shop keeper, I have found the daughter of Cedric." Michael then came back from the general merchantile and strung the leather bag on the saddle horn of his horse. He saw Aurora, "I see you got the spices Wambaugh wanted, we'll be off unless you want to look around some more."

Aurora smiled as she saw Michael appear. She held up the bag of spices. "yes I did, the shop keeper was most helpful, I think I got everything thanks to him" she looked around a little and shook her head "I am all set if you are ready to return hom"

Michael nodded as he mounted his horse, "Yes, I am ready," as he waited for Aurora and looked around the village's main street. The mysterious stranger watched him and Aurora from the alley along the spice shop, staying out of sight. He then nudged his horse into a walk as he rode out of the village in the direction of the estate.

Aurora climbed up on her horse and followed him from the village to the his house."it's such a nice little village. And the people seem to be nice and helpful. You must enjoy living close by?"

Michael left the village via the main road, and went past the winery slowly as he saw that one of the wagons had pulled out and the other still was being loaded. About halfway back to the house, he stopped to let his horse water in a stream that crossed the road. He looked over at Aurora, "It is a nice place, the village. Some of the people moved here for the tranquility, others had left bad times and came here for a new start. It is nice to live close by." After he let the horse water, he nudged him out of the stream and continued towards the estate, at a leisurely pace.

She noticed the change in the wagons at the winery. The winery most do great business if they had wagons that keep pulling up. She let her horse drnk before continued on back to the estate, once they arrived back home she dismounted her horse. "Did you need help putting the horses away"

Michael dismounted and took Aurora's horse's reins, "I can put them away, I'll let you break the news to Wambaugh of your desire to help him in the kitchen. He will love that very much." He handed her the pouch with the other supplies in it he wanted, as he noticed her already toting the pouch with the spices. He leaned over and kissed her lips softly, his left hand moved around her back to bring her close to him as he noticed her riding shirt rode up slightly. "I'll see you in a bit," he smiled, and then led the horses across the courtyard and into the stable.

Aurora smiled as he instructed her to go inside to tell Wambaugh, she was leaving when she suddenly felt his lip against hers she kissed him back, and didn't want the kiss to end. When it did she stood a moment before turning again and going into the kitchen. "hello Wambaugh I have the items you requested"

Wambaugh smiled as he heard Aurora's voice, and turned from the cutting board where he was dicing up some onions to put into a stew he was mixing. "Ah you came at the right time, Miss Aurora, I require some of those spices for the meal I am preparing for you and Michael." He sat down the knife on the cutting board, added the onions to the stew pot, and then wiped off his hands to unpack the supplies that Michael and Aurora had brought. "Where is Michael, a man stopped by while you were gone, inquired about you and Michael. I sent him away, he kind of gave me the creeps."

Aurora handed the bag to Wambaugh, "the stew smells wonderful already I can not imagine what else you can do to make it any better" she looked over what he was doing "Michael is putting the horse away, I came in here to see if you needed help. I wonder who could have came here looking for us, that is rather odd"

Wambaugh nodded as took the bag from her, "Why thank you Miss Aurora, that is a very high compliment. As far as help, you can be about getting the table set as well as putting away the supplies in the walk in pantry," as he pointed to the door, "for now that will be a great help. Have you any experience cooking, perhaps you can help out there in the future." He nodded when she said that Michael was at the stable. "He was at the gate and inquired of the guard, and then by the time I went out, he was gone."

Aurora nodded and began to put the items away as he asked."I do know how to cook so I can help you when needed, or if you want a day off I can manage feeding Michael so he won't starve"she giggled a bit. "I wonder what the man could have wanted no one knows I am here aside from my father"

Wambaugh's eyes brightened when he heard Aurora say she could cook, "That would be quite marvelous, for you to help cook. I've been dying to have a day off to go fishing, so you are definitely a God send, " he smiled as he watched her put the items away. He enjoyed her giggling, and then rubbed his chin when she talked about the mysterious man. "Hmmm...are you sure nobody followed you here or that there may be a spy in your father's house." As they talked, Michael came in through the kitchen door, "So Wambaugh, I hope you can put Miss Aurora to work, she wishes to help." Wambaugh nodded, "I shall sir, and she can cook, so I am going to plan on going fishing with Ives along the river, with your permission of course."

Aurora smiled when he said he would love to go fishing. It made her feel good that she be of some use her. She had just finished putting the items away when Michael came in the house she smiled at him. "I would love to be able to cook for you Michael if Wambaugh could have a day off"she moved closer to Michael sweetly kissing him on the cheek.

Michael kissed Aurora back on her cheek and then looked at Wambaugh, "Ah the charmer at work," he smiled and then his hands intersected around Aurora at the small of her back as he looked into her eyes, "I would love to sample your cooking. Our friend has deserved a day off above and beyond, and he shall have it," he then kissed her lips softly, as he then looked at Wambaugh, "If Miss Aurora can handle two days, then you can take two days for your fishing. I hear the trout are biting well at the river."
