Fay chuckled a little as he watched his brother chasing his tail. "i used to do that so much i'd get dizzy." he admitted laughing a little before nodding at the order to land, flaring his wings and landing effortlessly on the ground, looking up at his brother and letting off a roar to get the others attention. before gently lifting Maria off of his back and carefully settling her on the ground, backing away from her as she snarled at him smoke spilling down her mouth as she fell onto all fours and stretched, feathery wings bursting from her back, Fay gasping in astonishment. "my god.... she's..." but one of them had not been born in centuries, had not been born since the last Great War between Dragon kin. "a
Kithril..." he whispered softly as she unleashed a heavy Roar that filled the air, making the very earth tremble.
stories of Kithril where told to young dragons, and in this case also a young elemental. they where thought to have all died off after the Last Kithril King, they where the most powerful creature in the Draconis realms, overpowering even the furry Imperials. they had feathers and fur instead of scales, and magic so powerful that they could heal their own sleek bodies seconds after an injury. they where the righters of wrong, and the protectors of the weak and harmed. they had statues of the Kithril Dragons all over Draconis, commemorating their amazing strength, nobility, and good deeds. Maria snarled again and tossed her head back, unleashing another massive roar as she finished her transformation, standing almost five feet taller than Fay on all fours she rose onto her hind legs and spit blue flames into the air, the earth trembling with her power.
"...how can she be a Draconis?" Fay asked shocked. "she is of Earth, no Draconis can be born outside of the Draconis Realms... it is impossible!" he complained looking at Leo. "she was born here was she not? a human father!?" what no one knew, what Maria's father had never told a soul but Maria herself... was that she was adopted. he had found her laying on his lawn, wailing and crying, and had taken her in to be his only daughter. Maria panted a little, looking stunned as she fleshed wings and tail, stretching and squirming as she felt her new body, her new power, rolling in the dirt like a cat on catnip, reveling in such a primal strength.
