Snow looked back saying "your only getting close cause Iam out of shape" this time she.did not stop to talk to him. she made a sharp turn like she was trying to get behind him.

Shadow chuckled. "That's what you think it is. I just think I have natural talent for catching my prey." He could see her muscles tense and he was prepared for her turn and he reached out a paw hoping to tag her. He reached out with a lunge hoping to time it just right.

Amaya was surprised at Altair's direction and was knocked down, she snapped at his legs as he swiped in the air, hoping to make contact. She wasn't going to be pushed around by some wolf, even if he was supposedly the Alpha. The three of them seemed to get some attention from the rest of the pack, of course she enjoyed watching when one of the other pack members got bet for defying River when she was alive and she knew others that did as well. She spotted Amy in the crowd around her, she knew that Amy was Beta even though Amaya didn't treat her as such. "Amy, is it true?" she called out hoping that Amy knew what the question referred to.

Amaya took her gaze away from Altair, a mistake that she made with not quite enough time to react when he grabbed her by the scuff and flung her against the wall like she was some outsider. As she was thrown towards the wall she tried to position herself in the air to make the impact against the wall not as painful. No matter how well she positioned herself, she still hit the wall and the right side of her body hurt like hell from the impact. She landed and she had to take a couple breaths before she could even speak. "Son... of.. a... bitch." She spoke between breaths, hoping to not sound like she was weak but it didn't work.

Amaya was a hunter, not a fighter. She was trained to find her target's weakness and use it against them. She was not trained in taking brute force blows and be able to stand up afterwards. Amaya did a quick once over with her muscles and bones. She could feel that some of her ribs had bruising on the bones, and thankfully nothing broke. She didn't look at Amy this time, her eyes were fixed on Altair as she readjusted herself in order to pounce if and when needed. "Amy?" she questioned referring to weather or not Altair was the true Alpha. If Amy did answer when she was in the air, she did not hear it and wanted confirmation before she looked for ways to tear him apart. 'What is his weakness?' and 'Where is it?' were the questions running through her mind as she looked Altair over waiting for Amy's response.

Snow felt his paw touch her on the side. she turned back around and shivered from it. She smiled saying "your good and man your fast ". She sat down panting and added "I must be dreaming your playing with me even thou you don't know me well I like that thank you". She walked over to him and hung her head "Iam sorry if i seemed i wanted to be alone its been so long sense I could play with some like that did not think you would".

Obsidian was looking at the sun and it seemed her time was ticking away she now had a hour. She had to do something, she fumbled her hand around for a stick, and clenched her teeth down on it hard as she scooted away from the fight. She scooted to a tree, as she wiped at her forehead covered in sweat from the exertion of just that.

She felt her leg throbbing and she spit out the stick, a soft moan of pain escaping her throat. She grabbed a piece of her gown and tore it off as she wrapped it tightly around her leg to stopped the bleeding, a cry of pain escaped her lips but she kept wrapping it until she ran out of cloth.

Her hand found two straight and sturdy sticks as well as some vine. She grabbed them and then placing the two sticks against her leg she secured them in place with the vines. She once again whimpered with the pain, but she tested the splint out and she would be able to stand on it. She wiped the sweat off her face and stood up, she needed to get to the river to wash off. Two wolves were watching her and she be beckoned them over.

They escorted her to the river, helping her by letting her grab their fur if she needed the support. Sweat covered her face but she made it to the river as she waded in to where she could touch and the water rose up to her neck. She wanted to at least bathe before she died.

When it came to Beta's Amy was the lowest ranking of them all. "I do remember River and Altair spending a lot of time together I never saw them become mates however, them being mates is the logical assumption with the amount of time they spent together." Amy said watching the fight in front of her. Amy thought to herself she did remember Altair and River spending time together.

Amaya cocked a smile at Altair as she noticed Obsidian, "Letting my meal have her way a little I see." Her ruby eyes stayed locked onto Altair. She already made the mistake of looking away from him once and she was thrown against the wall. She wasn't going to give him that advantage again. Amaya listened to Amy's response while she looked Altair up and down, trying to find his weakness. "So, you think if you got to spend time with River, then that makes her your mate." Amaya growled, "What an atrocious assumption on you Altair, and then try to have the rest of us believe it." Amaya paused to see if Altair would react.

Amaya was purposefully inciting Altair. If she had to bow down to this wolf, she wanted to know what type of leader he would be. She was not going to bow down to someone without him or her standing up for their beliefs. However, she doubted if this would get her kicked out. Yeah, she may be demoted in position but she could live with that if Altair was going to be the type of leader she would be proud of.

River was cold.
That's all she felt, that's all she could remember. Her bones ached and her lungs were full of water it felt like, only seeming to make her sink more quickly as the powerful river pulled her down.
It wasn't till she felt stationary and a small wave wash against her face did her hazel eyes flutter open.
The she-wolf still felt devastatingly fringed but she managed to lift herself away from the water one step only to feel the stabbing pain in her side once more and fall inches away from the next wave that washed up on shore. Her ears went back as she let out a small whimper, at least she was out of the water though. She looked to her side to inspect the wound only to be met with a dark clothe over her head. Trying to make some sort of noise before she inhaled a horrible scent. It was strong and it was... was....
The auburn alpha female didn't have even enough time to describe it because she collapsed. Her body going limp as her mind went fuzzy and dark.
She wanted to howl. To call out to her pack.
Her mate.
Oh god was Altair okay?! Had he gotten away?? In the confines of her mind and slightly consciousness she couldn't help but feel an immense amount of guilt. She had been so consumed with herself, she hadn't even given the slightest thought as to if her Alpha male was alright.

River had to do something, but every time she faded back to reality she felt another needle pierce her skin and she would slip back into the dark.
Her mind didn't allow her to process what was going on, she just felt scared. Her eyes were covered and her muzzle was bound with straps.

Finally.
It must of felt like hours, or days until she woke up fully. Her snout wasn't bound anymore but she was in a small confinded space.
A-a crate??
It was dark, her nose sniffed all corners. It smelled like chemicals and nothing about nature.
Then she was being moves and could hear human voices. Finding the farthest corner she slinked back into it, her ears low.
Her side was bandaged and no longer hurt. She could still feel bruises but the adrenaline of being in a crate carried by humans was unnerving. The crate was covered so it didn't able her to see, only flashes of light she would catch through some holes until she felt the crate being dropped onto the ground. Her paws dug into the hard plastic and she emitted a low growl before the door was flung open. Light from the outside bursting through. She could see trees and bounded for them without another thought. The moment her paws touched the soft ground she felt free. She didn't think to look behind her until she met the brush. Turning she saw civilian looking humans smiling and clapping.
Why weren't they going after her?
Why were they happy?
Where were their guns?

It didn't matter to her, she had to find her pack, she had to find Altair but.... Where in the world was she??

Altair noticed her eyes checkimg his body in different spots. Was she looking for a weakness? Altair had always been a smart and fierce fighter always trying to use as much brains as brawns to come out on top. It was how he got so much respect and position in the pack. But now he had the advantage it was time to use desperation as an advantage. Altair relaxed the muscles on his right side feining a weakness. When she lunged for his right side he would make his move and pin her into submission.

"No its not because I spent time with her its because I earned it. I fought against other wolves to prove my strength while you were gone. I've earned the majority of everyones respect. Even those that oppose me weren't stupid enough to attack me head on. But if I have to put you in your place then I will." Altair circle to the left showing his fake weakness and even panting hard like he wad tired. He just needed her to fall for it and this would end now.

River stopped running, her muscles were still sore. She knew that fall should of killed her, what she didn't know was why some humans helped her. Could she even call it that? She could get these stupid bandages off of her torso. She tried scrapping them against a tree but that only made the spot where she was shot hurt worse so she stopped trying.

Now she padded silently through the foreign woods not knowing how far away she was from her home, her family.
She had tried howling many times to see if she was close enough to be heard.
No responses came.
This worried her. It worried her dearly and thoughts of whatever hunters that shot her going back to her pack and-
The auburn wolf had to stop for a moment, shutting her eyes and sitting down.
She didn't know a lot of things right now but she felt if she didn't get back by night fall then she was afraid she never would.

"So, you think you can just beat every one of us to a bloody pulp?" Amaya paused, catching her breath. Her ribs hurt like hell. However, she wasn't going to let Altair know if her life depended on it. "It's not going to work on me Altair." She was panting and tired, but she wasn't going to give up on this fight. Amaya saw a weakness in Altair, his right side! But something didn't feel right. She scanned him as he was walking. It felt like a trap, and if her gut told her something was a trap.... it was usually right.

She hunted for the pack and she was good because she wasn't stupid. Her experience with humans didn't hurt her in fights either. She didn't survive with just muscles... even though being on the large side for a female didn't hurt. Amaya's kept her ruby red eyes on Altair. She then leaped at him, feigning for his right side when at the last minute she went to grab his left front leg. Amaya planned on using this leg to flip him as she dove under his belly, using his weight against him. Once she had him on the ground she would wrap her mouth around his jugular. This was the same method she used to single handily take day larger prey. She wouldn't bit... yet. It all depended on his reaction.

Obsidian shivered as she got out of the water, limping badly, her leg was hurting and she had to stop and lean against a tree. The other two wolves were watching her as she looked up into the sky and noted that there was only 10 minutes until the sun touched the peak of the sky. "No......please no......" She whimpered and looked towards where Altair and Amaya were at, trees blocked her view and she wasn't sure who would win.

River didn't know how, she really didn't.
But whether it was her mind playing tricks on her or not, she thought she heard the sound of the river and whether she was right or wrong she was going for it. Forcing herself to push on she moved faster and faster before to her avail did the river come in site. It was familiar and even though it almost killed her, she couldn't of been more glad to see it. Dipping her head in and some of her paws to wash herself off she shook herself dry. With newly found encouragement the Auburn Alpha she wolf bounded to where her pack was. Hoping dearly she would not find a slaughtered one.

She slowed down, just because it was soon getting too much for her body physically, now down to a silent pad through the forest before she heard barking.
What was going on??
Although she was thankful the hear they weren't dead it didn't quite appease her to catch a glimpse of a wolf on top of...
Who was that?
Altair?
Who was the wolf on top of him?
When she realized it was Amaya she quickly sped up to a bound. Bursting through the brush on a head on collision with the other she wolf. Once she made contact and was sure Amaya was off of him she planted her paws firmly on the ground. Lips curling up over her sharp snapping teeth. The hackles on her back standing up straight as she met directly with the she wolfs eyes.

"You Will Not Attack Your Alpha."

River growled the words deep. She didn't like resorting to violence, much less against her own pack members but she had been through a hell lot and maybe... Just maybe she felt a small need to want to help Altair as much as she could.

Barking again she took a non faltering step towards Amaya. If the She-wolf wanted to fight then River was in one hell of a mood to.

When Amaya was hit full impact by River, she hit the ground again. Amaya's gaze quickly settled onto River. She shook her head; she must be seeing things. Could it be a new pack member that looks like River, because River was dead. This wolf really must have had a thing for Altair to try to break up a fight. Her ruby eyes met River's one more time until she heard River's voice. Now, she had to have been seeing and hearing things. 'That wolf must have had me hit my head?'

"River was my Alpha and those vermins murdered her." Amaya growled at River, refering to the humans as though they were rats. Amaya wouldn't see what everyone else must of realized. She knew that humans had ways to bring them back to life, but they wouldn't just let a wolf go. To Amaya, humans were the scum of the earth, they were devils and were meant to die.

When River took a step towards her, Amaya let out a warning growl. "Don't get in my way pup. This is no child's play. I'll give you one warning before I let you know where your place is." Amaya did not like for her fights to be interrupted, and at this time she was about to let a Altair know that he couldn't walk around here as though he was Alpha and get away with it. She was about to win a fight of domination, take his status and run the pack as she felt.... which meant that girl would have been Amaya's next meal, and the revenge of what the humans did to her, to her mother, to River would be extremely tasty. In fact, she was thinking of leaving a part of the girl's body close to the village to let those vermin know that if they wanted to come into the woods, they could and they would be on her menu.

Obsidian saw a flash of fur run by and the two wolves snapped up their heads and ran after them. She lost her balance and fell to the ground as sharp pain shot up through her leg, the sticks she had placed upon it snapping and the vine snapped. Tears welled up in her eyes and she managed to roll over onto her back and crying out in pain she pulled up to a sitting position against a tree.

Now that the gash was clean, she saw it how deep it was and saw white bone between torn flesh, blood and muscles. No bones were broke and she was lucky there, but Amaya did plenty of damage to it. She looked up to the sky, five more minutes. A sob escaped her throat, five minutes to live, that wasn't long enough not long enough.

Amaya was much like a sister when she needed it. Other times, she could be as stubborn as a mule.
This time though.
River was beginning to lose her patience as a leader but obviously her words weren't working. She felt tired, sore, and the joy from finding her pack again was wearing thin and Amaya was only doing it worse.

"Are you so blind with rage you don't even recognize your alpha when they're right in front of you?"

Her head rose as she took a second step. The mere insolence she felt radiating from the other she-wolf. It was sickening.
She needed a wake-up call and apparently that little shove wasn't enough.
"Look around you Amaya. Look at my eyes, listen to my voice. It tells no lies.."
The auburn wolf continued to growl. The deepness and loudness growing with emphasis to her words. What fowl insults were coming from this wolf she once thought to be loyal.

"Your insults will not be forgiven. The one needing to be put in the proper place if you, Amaya and if I have to I so shall enforce it!"

She stomped her paw again, making a hard imprint and grinding up some dirt. Her bright eyes bore into the blinded wolf with new found rage. There were reasons their meals didn't come from humans. She had explained them many times but Amaya seemed not to remember, not to listen. Revolting wolves needed to either be put in their place.
Or be put down.
She was deadly intent on her words and would have nothing more of this childish behavior of hers.

Amaya shook her head back and forth, trying to get this confusion out of her head. This wolf can't be River, those humans killed River and they don't just revive them to let them go. However, when she looked up, all she could see was the one wolf that she thought to be dead. The only way to truely know if this wolf was River was to ask her one question that only River knew the answer to. Amaya let her ruby eyes gaze into Rivers. "Why do I hate humans?"

Almost the entire pack knew that she hated humans, but the only one who knew why was River. River finally gained her trust enough, and Amaya told her enough about her past. The day she remembered being taken away from her mother. The experiments they conducted on her. The side fights that Amaya still has nightmares of, but will never admit it to anyone else. The other wolves she was forced to kill to just survive. Even though the rest of the pack escaped so many years ago, the pack was not able to save one wolf, and that was Amaya's mother. Many of the Elders will not speak of her mother, not to even let Amaya know her mother's name.

Obsidian remained on the ground, she banged her head gently against the tree, trying to get the sight of the white bone underneath the torn flesh out of her mind. She couldn't, she only felt immense pain in her leg. She took a peek at her leg, it was swollen with red blood surround the edges of the bite. She hissed as she squeezed her eyes shut, she knew she wasn't going home, even though the other two wolves had left her be when they saw the flash of fur dart through the tree.

Obsidian had a feeling it was River, she had the feeling that she was a fighter and would come back to defend the pack again. She was breathing a bit laborously, the pain in her leg.........she lost the trail of thought, looking down at her throbbing hand, was............it................She saw yellow dots passing before her eyes, and the edges of her vision getting blurry.

She felt massive amounts of pain, suffered from shock, and from blood loss. She was delusional again........barely a coherent thought came flittering through her brain before it was once again. At least she was in the shade of a tree.....................the shade............the sun.....the sun.................She looked up and saw she had only seconds left until it met the peak of the sky and until it would be mid-day.........The thought faded again into oblivion. Her eyes were glazed over with pain, with a numbing out sensation, but every movement she made sent tingling...........no burning pain screaming through her muscles.

Obsidian was on the very brink of consciousness...........perhaps it wouldn't be so bad dying...............perhaps..............what was that again. She lost it, again and again, why?

Altair was getting ready to attack Amaya when he saw her going for the fake opening. Apparently she wasn't an amateur becauuse she didn't fall for his trick. She moved to his left side and his body was to bulky to follow her movements so quickly. Which ended up in him being beneath her but he wasn't thrown too much. He was a seasoned fighter abd he hadn't taken any serious injury that would hinder his skils. His first instinct was to proctect his neck and he growled deep in his throat. He wasn't gonna lose to a her so easily he snapped at her his powerful jaws shutting down as hard as possible to fend her off. But he wasn't fighting her off too long before a blur knocked Amaya off. Altair was stunned that any dared to interfere with their fight but when he saw it was River he was lost for words.

His body wouldn't move and his mind wasn't comprehending it. Was she alive? His shock dwindled and he knew what he was seeing was real. But what made his heart skip a beat was her form defending him. Something inside him was bursting in warmth. But what ruined his happy moment was the fact that she had to defend him and that Amaya was defying her. Altair was about to get up and tear her to shreds just before she would die from a brutal beating. But when he got up to move to deternined look on River's face stopped him. He just sat stilland watched accepting her actions as a sign of affection.

Shadow puffed his chest at Snow's compliment and pranced around in circles. But when she hung her head he knew he had to become her savior. "Snow your a beautiful wolf don't stop yourself from showing off such beauty with those thoughts. Flaunt it to the worls or at least to me. I want to beable to admire you." He walked around her in circles brushing up against her occasionally. "I liked you since I first saw you so of course I've got to show it." Shadow moved up under her and nuzzled under her neck picking up her head. He licked her muzzle and nuzzled her neck again.

Obsidian heard some rustling only a few feet from where she sat. She recognized bit only barely, maybe he would help her. She swallowed hard and managed to croak out, "Shadow?" She raised a hand towards the two wolves, and it sent sharp tingling pain to her elbow. That was the hand with the cut, wrong, wrong idea. Black dots danced in front of her eyes as her hand fell back to her side. She groped her other hand around, fear clogging her throat, she couldn't see because of the black dots dancing over her eyes. "Shadow?!" She cried out in fear and pain, trying to grope around. Then her vision came back but everything was blurry, she knew she was closer to unconsciousness now than before.

"For the same reason many others share with you." Her growls lessened, her muscles loosening a bit but keeping her position.
Her ears rose, she was glad it hadn't gotten too violent. If Amaya had went any further, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to come off of her delusion.

"They took your mother from you. Many of us share your distaste for the humans and if that fight is really about that, then I am thoroughly disappointed."

Without another word she turned her back, facing Altair and immediately going to his side. Her muzzle and the side of her head rubbing against the underside of his own.
"You're never going to believe was happened to me... But could you get these things off?"
River asked, her voice now gentle. She wasn't worried about Amaya anymore. Altair seemed like he had escaped the hunters, which she was great full for.
Turning her head towards the wrappings around her waist, she lifted her hazel eyes up at him. The spot didn't hurt at bad anymore.

Shadows actions took her breath away. Snow closed her eyes loving his touch. She muddled him back. She licked him in the muzzle as well. She brushed up against him saying"shadow I love your touch". She blushed then heard obsidian voice and turned to face the human saying"yes what do you want". She was annoyed she showed up for she wanted to be alone with shadow.

Altair felt River's touch and a wave of calm washed over him and it felt like something had left him completely. Something stirred inside of him when he thought he lost River. Something darker he almost lost his mind the love of his life was forever taken from him. He had a deep bloodlust to kill anything that stood against him and he was sure that he would have really snapped on Amaya if River hadn't come back when she did. But it was gone now and the old Altair was slowly returning. "River my love I've missed your touch so much. I thought you were gone forever..." He nuzzled her back rubbing against her before noticing the bandages on her. He sniffed them carefully but they smelled clean and something else that nagged at his memory. Altair knew it was of human origin though but he let it slide and would let River tell him what happened when she was ready. He shook it off though and bit through the wrapping away from her injury and it fell away. He walked back around to her injured side to look at it. "It actually doesn't look that bad. I'm just glad to have you back with us I think we all are."

Shadow's ears pricked when he heard Snow though and his tail started swaying. "And Ilove touching you." He pressed his body closer rubbing against her when he heard a human voice. His first instinct was to attack the person that was interrupting him. But listening closer he knew it was Obsidian. She sounded in pain so he had a little more sympathy than before. He couldn't see her behind the bush but he huffed and slowly trotted around to check on her. The wound she carrried stuck out and his heart dropped for the poor girl. "What happened to you?"
