by the time Jolyon was back the Naga was awake and curled up on the heater, as it appeared was now HIS spot, which was probably what he had been implying when he had said 'mine'. He had a small blade in hand and a chunk of wood that he must have gotten out of the wood pile ten feet behind the house, if Jolyon where to look he would see several snake trails. The strips of meat where gone, and fortunately the Naga had not touched any of the other food, leaving it for Jolyon. There was an already finished carving, and a large, neat pile of shavings ready to be swept up and put in the furnace, but the Naga was rather afraid of fire, and was too scared to get close enough to put it in, so the shavings where sitting on the dust pan instead.
She Naga was surprisingly skilled, so he hadn't been kidding when he had claimed to be able to build and fix for his stay, the carving of a wolf sitting on the table was beautiful and detailed, and when the Naga heard Jolyon come home he grinned at the other and pointed tot eh kitchen Table where a rabbit was laying, fur still on and everything. “it came out of the wood pile.” he stated simply, sliding over to the other. “i thought since I couldn't catch two hundred bucks, It would be alright if I caught you four hundred rabbits instead.” he mused grinning. “i have one down, now I only need...” there he paused. “whats four hundred minus one?” very clearly uneducated.
