Arya stretched as she walked through the woods, a bow and quiver slung over her slim shoulders. The half-elf had long shunned living among others, finding even elves too concerned with material goods and belongings and humans even worse. She had never fit in with either, growing up among her human relatives, she had aged and matured so much slower than her childhood friends, and as soon as she had been able to care for herself, she had fled to the woods, and since then had only ventured into cities when she needed supplies she couldn't gather on her own.
She was slim, atheletic, her skin a light tan from her time out in the woods. Her clothes were simple, leather garments she had skinned and tanned herself. Long, sun-streaked auburn hair was tied back in a simple braid, adorned with a few brightly colored feathers. Bright green eyes scanned the line of trees ahead, and she paused.
Patrolling the woods around the clearing that she called home occupied much of her time. There was always the risk of an attack, marauding bandits, or an injured beast turned deadly in desperation.
"Well, old friend." she said quietly, patting the shoulder of the wolf that had been her friend, companion, and confidante for almost as long as she had been alone. "Looks like everything is clear for now." she said.
