Terrorizing Vampire

"Nothing, we stay here, there is no next move, we must collect information, there is a local sage, he knows more about this magic stuff than me, he would be best to see, we can go see him tonight, i have befriended him and he is trustworthy, otherwise, we warm ourselves by the fire, get some sleep and thats about it really, it may not be the most lavish house in the town, but its comfortable and cozy and safe, outside the city and away from prying eyes, in the mean time hunter, i want to know more about you."

"I would rather rest, we don't know why would face us and it would be very bad of talking with the sage took to long and we were caught in day light," he realized he felt concern for the women, an emotion he had felt for his long dead mother. He stood removing his sword from his hip and all other weapons setting them in a neat little pile.

Alisa smiled "Dont worry, the sage already knows we are coming, i have a certain, well a certain magical bond with him if you will, something only a sage of his calibur and a immortal like myself could share, he can explain more about the book, im sure he has read it before or has one on hand, this isnt the only copy im sure of that, this is dark magic, and you know its dark when a vampire uses it, its not something created by a human either, but we shall find that all out in time."

Rueful to leave the comfort of the fire he stood picking up his several weapons and putting them in their correct places. "Very well." he stood up and faced her signaling her lead the way as he didn't know where the sage was. He wondered what kind of bond those two shared, he told himself it didn't matter why did he care. He shrugged off the thought and waited for we to lead on.

Alisa walked over to the corner and put on a black thick wool hooded cape and wrapped a belt with a sheath on it, she sheathed a longsword with an intricate hilt with a ruby in it, "Not that ill be needing this but it was a gift and i like the way it looks, dont worry about bringing any weapons along where we are going we wont need them." She walked out the door into the brisk cold night, she pulled the hood over her head and whistled, after a few seconds the plodding of horse hooves was heard, a horse without a saddle ran by, she leapt onto it and took off, "Come on, lets see if you can keep up!" She shouted behind her.

He walked outside with her, it was cold enough for it o snow, he enjoyed the cold. He leaped onto his own stationery horse and kicked his heels very lightly against the horse's flanks. The horse took off taking the light taps as a sign to go fast. He gained on her quickly his own horse was not bred as a beast of burden but as a war horse , while she couldn't run as long as most horses she could run faster.

He kept his swords despite her telling him he didn't need them. Even though he had said that she could trust him and he had said that he did, he did not trust the creature of the ethereal. His breath was rapid the air showing his breath, it was indeed cold. He hoped for snow like a small child, it almost made him laugh.

Alisa looked back, "How fast can she go?" She yelled and then she leaned over and whispered something in her own language into the horses ear, the horse took off at a blinding speed, kicking up dirt as it went, her horse was not of this world, well it was, but the horse was undead just like her she had actually turned the horse herself she chose it because it was intelligent and not afraid of her at all, she spurred the horse onward quicker and quicker.

"Aw damn." at this rate he would lose her and he didn't want to go around asking for if the town folk have seen a vampire. That was an awkward situation waiting to happen. He slowed his horse down slightly, she could have kept going but he didn't see much of a point in brutalizing his horse. He kept her at a comfort speed, not nearly as fast as the other wordly horse but fast at human standards. The tow was rapidly approaching on the path by his standards she should have already reached it, he laughed at the prospect of her being greeted by torches and pitchforks.

She looked back and saw he was falling into the distance, she slowed her horse quickly as she was close to the town anyway, she dismounted her steed and walked into the town, there were a few people on the streets and they stayed well away from her, a woman walking with a small child covered her childs eyes and looked away, she approached a shack that was isolated and was covered in vines, she knocked on the door and a snakelike voice was heard, "Pleassssssee enterrrrrr."

Jack tailed her keeping his distances after she had slowed down. He watched as he people avoided her, he was surprised to see people out at this time of night. Decideing it was time that he could join up with her he moved quickly and silently next to her . Of course she heard as a vampire could hear a pin drop onto a mouse a mile away.
