I am a newbie on here and was wondering how it works. For example, if your want to her a role play started do you make one post and leave it open or do you attempt to contact someone prior to the start as a partner?

99% of the people on here will seek out a partner and discuss things via PMs or what have you before starting an actual RP on the forums. You're definitely more likely to succeed that way as well in getting yourself an RP partner. Also, to help yourself, you can make a request thread and 'advertise' yourself and your interests/cravings/etc. Likewise, you can browse other peoples' request threads and see if anything catches your eye. If you find a match, drop them a PM and discuss... just as someone else might do the same for you. Hope that helped.

Do both of them. I mean, you never know if one of your favorite scenes could be what someone else is looking for, or if you're going to find a great idea that you want to play in someone else's thread. Why miss out?
