Thirst

“Oh, you know what I am after? Then tell me.” He smiled as he looked at the Red Bull, and pushed it aside. “It wouldn’t change my research and work, but my life… It would prove supernatural things. Powerful things, living out there, amongst humans. And if humans found out that there were such things… No.” He shook his head slowly. “They would destroy them all, wanting something that they could never reach without turning into one. Entire life would change, and not for the better. Best to never let them know. But, what is it that you want of me?”

Alisa smiled, "Please honey, ive been around for thousands of years if you think ive lived this long to be destroyed you are sadly wrong." She smiled, "I simply want you, and your mind, and you arent that bad looking either." She took a sip of her drink, "Im sure you cant turn that down, I can give you everything you have ever desired and you can have me."

He thought for a long moment as he listened to her. “What do you mean, ‘and your mind’?” He asked slowly, almost cautiously. Although her offer of having everything he desired and her was very tempting… “Ok.” He said, softly. “I agree. I’ll do as you wish.”

She giggled like a school girl, "I told you i like smart boys, relax im not going to eat your brains, and i knew you would, i knew you would from the moment i saw you, the fact that what you have looked for, is now in your grasp and not even putting up a fight, in fact, going voluntarily, into the open arms of the entire world and announcing itself couldnt be more appealing to you, and the fact that it just so happens to be a beautiful yet deadly woman whom you already find attractive, and definatly want to fuck and just might let you, you cant turn this moment down."

“That’s a mouthful.” He said, with a soft chuckle. But, he couldn’t disagree with her. “This is the chance of a lifetime. Learning about a race that shouldn’t be around, but is. A race of supernatural creatures. I have to know more about you and your race. But, let me guess…” He frowned as he thought. “You would want an offering of blood, no? Isn’t that what you trade in? Or rather, what you want in return for giving so graciously?” He thought for a moment. “I will give this to you, if you do not kill me doing so.”

"Sanguinis pretium sanguis." She uttered in latin, "It means blood is the price of blood, I have given you no blood, so i have no reason to take yours, in more simple terms, we trade for things of equal value when it comes to information and pleasure, information is what you shall receive and in return i get some information from you from which i will already be receiving in the data you have collected, there is no shedding of blood involved." She smiled, "And when you dont have to breathe, nothing, is a mouthful." She licked her lips.

“La vita che abbiamo è quello del sangue.” He whispered as he listened to her. “Then we shall trade, no? What I want is you. All of you. And what would be the price of that?” He smiled softly as he looked her way. This would be interesting.

"Oh so you speak italian, there is more to you, I have already told you what my price is, letting me fulfill you with what you have always sought after, the binder you have been nervously shifting around your jacket, the report is so close to being finished isnt it, youre almost there, just one minor detail that you cant find anywhere, and youre looking at that detail, that, is my price." She leaned back and took a sip of her drink and lit another cigarette.

“No.” He said softly. “In that, you are wrong. I found what I needed. All I need now is the experimental stage of it. And then, it will be complete.” He looked at her, and slowly he pulled out the notebook and slit it across the table. It all would look like jibberish to her. Nothing looked in any pattern or in the right order. “There. The price is paid. Now what is it you offer to me?”

She picked up the notebook and began reading it, she flipped through a few pages, scanned them, flipped back, and then skipped a few and read them, then skipped to the end and scanned it for a millisecond and then went to the middle and read a few more pages, "Interesting pattern, you designed this so that even the most brilliant of minds couldnt decipher it even if they wanted too, but what you didnt count on was the fact that ive had several millenia to study many things." She shut the notebook with a snap and looked him in the eye, "Tell me what is your hearts desire, your inner most thing that drives you, the thing you want the most, your most deep thought you crave, tell me what is the reason you wake up in the morning."

He frowned as she read it. She caught on to the pattern, but everything that was of any importance used made up words. People who even had a chance to decode it wouldn’t have any idea what it all meant. The only way she could know was if she could read his mind. And based on her reactions, she couldn’t understand it, even if she wanted to make it look otherwise. “What I want… why, I want to make the world change. I want immortality so I can guide it along the right path. Ah, but until then I can settle with you. Perhaps I can use you as a test subject, as well.”

"Test subject? Im no frankensteins daughter, what do you plan to do to me?" She looked at him quizzically not sure what this man wanted to do to her, but she was up for anything new and she knew he couldnt try to kill her, the slightest attempt would result in the snapping of his neck, but she knew this man wanted her, and was sure he had no intentions of harming her, after all what could he really do?

As if on queue, he tapped on the notebook, which still sat on the table, closed and cover up. “This. This is what I plan on doing to you. Everything on it is theoretical. I need a willing subject to test it on to make sure it actually works. And, as you seem to have picked up a keen interest in my work, I give you a chance to become a part of it, to help me finish the last part of my research.”
