Phew the days were getting hot indeed he thought to himself as he walked down the sidewalk now, he couldn't believe that he had nothing to do but wait for now. The moving truck was late and he had gotten here far quicker than them anyways on his motorcycle which his father had protested against him getting very much. Not that he really cared what his father really wanted after all he wasn't much of a father, the man gave him food, a home, and clothes but that was about it from him so who cared what he wanted. These thoughts were rather morbid he thought to himself now so he shook them away, now that he was in the heat he didn't have to wonder why it was a good idea to where just running shorts and a white tee shirt. If he had been wearing anything else he would have been dying, the humidity was what was really getting to him as they didn't have this back west it was making him sweat without doing anything, Florida, Miami he never thought he would be in a place like this. As to who this newcomer was well that would be Aries Marley, a young man at the age of seventeen was moving in with his mother and little sister whom he had never met before, things became increasingly difficult with his father over things he would rather not discuss so he had been sent out to his mother.

His frame was not as broad as a lot of young men his age, he did not care to buff up as they called it as it was rather boring and well that muscle would turn to fat if not properly maintained, he was far from a skinny young man though it might seem like that under his clothing. His build was that of a runner's lean maybe even wiry under the flesh there was hardened muscle that only showed when it was actually needed, his mid section was more cut than anything else on his body. He found a woman liked a six pack more than they enjoyed a guy with big beef looking arms, so he did his running and his crunches among other things to keep those abs looking good. His mid length blond hair looked wild and unkempt like he just brushed it back and let it fall in place, his eyes were a very interesting shade of green like the color of leaves in the spring time. His skin a fair tan as he liked to spend his time outside but not overly tan like a surfer or a tanning salon person would be, he honestly had no desire to be orange. Soon he was turning onto the block that his new 'home' would be on, he wondered what his new 'family' would be like after all he had grown up with his father who hadn't been around much.

The past few days had been a little hectic in the Bowers residence. Things were being moved around, put in storage and new things brought in, creating a new bedroom out of a room that used to be used for exercise equipment and an office. Lillian watched her mother run up the steps with her arms full of bedding for the new bed that had been put in and she sighed softly while tilting her head. The sixteen year old neko understood that the older brother she had never met was moving in. She hadn't gotten the whole story about what had happened but her mother told her that Lillian's father had gotten in trouble and now her older brother was now moving in with them and she tilted her head a little as she thought about it. 'What was his name again?' she thought to herself. 'Ah yes, Aries.' With a slight shake of her head, Lillian head upstairs with a box in her arms, some of her bright pink hair falling in her eyes while her long tail swayed behind her. "So.. what's he look like?" she asked her mother as she entered the bedroom, sitting the box down on a small table before helping her mother, Margarete, with the sheets.

"I'm not sure darling. I'd imagine he would look a bit like his father." she said. "Though it has been years since I've seen either one of them." Margarete, like her daughter, had pink hair as well as mating pink cat ears and a pink tail though her's was more of a pale pink with tints of grey at the tips of her ears and tail. Lillian nodded slightly before turning and finishing tucking the corners of the sheet. The young neko was expecting another person kind of like herself and her mother to move it. Once the bedroom was ready for her brother, the two women head back downstairs to wait for him to arrive, deciding to share some tea.

The house that Aries was moving into was a nice two story home in a small neighborhood not too far from the beach. The outside was made of grey stone and it had blue shutters and a rather simple lawn with rose bushes on either side of the front porch and there was a small driveway in front of a garage. It was a cozy looking home that Lilly and her mother were happy to live in. Her mother was a writer and a college professor. She wrote psychological thrillers and several had been on the best sellers lists a couple times and she taught psycholgy at a local university.

Aries took a look at the piece of paper with the address on it as he stopped for some food, he seriously needed a quick break from the riding of his motorcycle as his rear had gone numb again. Usually he would have no problem but riding this thing all the way from Virginia to Florida had been a really annoying thing to do, places that he thought would never get sore were like his arms and thighs do to the shaking of the bike. Now he took a bite of the chili cheese dog that he ordered himself as a little treat and soon that was gone and he was back on the road, his motorcycle wasn't the older styles as it just didn't fit with him so it wasn't loud but at the same time it was not soft either as a rice rocket type of motorcycle. When he revved the engine you could definitely hear it going off, now it took a few more minutes to get to his new house than it should have but he he was in a new town so trying to figure out directions would definitely not be something he could do in an instant he thought to himself as he turned onto the right block finally.

There would be a small truck with the rest of his stuff a day or two after he arrived, he left early with the essentials in his duffel bag so as not to have to wait to meet his new 'family'. He could hardly even call them that seeing as he didn't know either of them really, but this was his only option besides a foster home he thought with a grimace before stopping in front of the house now, he could see that it was a decent little house or at least better than what he was used to that was for sure. He pulled himself off the bike and gave a light yawn as he cracked his back a bit and then strolled towards the door slowly, his upper body covered in a white tee shirt as he didn't need to keep the cold away down here, he wore baggy jeans that had seen their fair share of work but weren't torn to shreds just yet.

A pair of black sneakers finished off his attire ad he now stood in front of the door with his hand raised to knock on the door. But he didn't knock yet as he wasn't really sure about coming here now, he had a bike and money sure not a lot but probably enough to keep him going until he found a job to get his own place. For a moment the idea of riding back up to Virginia and just getting a job to support himself filled his mind, but then he remembered what the police had said about a foster home until he was eighteen so that idea went out the window. With a little sigh he rapped his fist against the door gently but enough that anyone in the house would hear it, he could nearly see through the little window as he was tall at six feet.

Lilly and her mother enjoyed their tea while softly speaking, Margarete telling her daughter about how she had met her father and fallen in love before they split up not long after she became pregnant with her daughter. While it had been hard for Lilly to grow up without a father in her life, she understood why her parents split up though she would of liked to of at least met him once. However, she knew that her mother never wanted to see her ex again and Lilly was happy living her life as she was. After finishing her tea, Lilly told her mother she was going to go up and take a quick shower since she had gone straight to helping her ready things after her usual morning run.

Heading upstairs to her bedroom, she grabbed a change of clothing before heading into the bathroom and she'd now have to share with her brother. there were two full bathrooms in the house, one in her mothers room and one for the rest of the house to use while there was a smaller half bathroom downstairs just off of the kitchen. Entering the bathroom, she set her things down on the counter before starting the shower. About twenty minutes later she was done and out of the shower, drying off. Unlike a lot of other girls, Lilly didn't spend a lot of time on her appearance, preferring the more simple look over the over done look that many of the girls she went to school with did.

The young woman had just finished doing her hair when she heard the knock on the door and she dropped her brush on the counter before rushing out of the bathroom in just a pair of denim shorts and a dark blue t-shirt with a ying-yang on it. "I'll get it mom." she called while hurrying down the steps. Moving over to the door, Aries would be able to see a flash of pink go past the windows that were on either side of the door before the door opened. When Lilly opened the door, she paused when she saw the tall blonde standing on the front porch, her pink ears twitching a couple times as she stared up at him with big, bright almost electric, blue eyes. For a long moment she just stared at him, surprise showing on her face for a moment before she heard her mother clear her throat from behind her and she blinked. "Oh..., Uh, hello." she said gently to Aries before smiling up at him. He was almost a whole head taller then her with her being just over 5'4".

When Aries did see the flash of pink go by the little window in the door he raised an eyebrow as that was a bit odd he thought to himself, but he didn't have much time to think about it as the door opened up. Then he got a real surprise as he came face to face with a pink eared and pink haired young woman with the nicest blue eyes he had ever seen, when he saw her he wasn't sure what to say either especially seeing as she was so petite like a doll kind of he thought to himself. With her staring at him he wasn't sure if he should be the one to say something or if he should let her say something, when he saw her mother he knew he had the right place as he had seen her picture in the folder the child services had given him.

Finally the young one said hello in a soft almost nervous voice while giving him a smile, he nodded "hello I'm Aries" he said in a deep strong tone but it wasn't rough it was rather smooth. He didn't smile or anything as he was exactly excited to meet new people especially when he would have to live with them while knowing nothing about them, but at the same time he wasn't glaring at them so that was something to be said. As he looked over their ears and hair he had to wonder if they were dyed for a second but then seeing as both of them had the same hair and ears he suspected that it was a trait in the family and he really did thank lady luck that he did not end up with that family trait. The ears and tail he would not have minded at all but that hair really would not have looked good on him or at least he thought so, "I know I am a little earlier than expected but sitting around an empty house while waiting for an 'escort' from child services was quite boring" he said casually.

The neko who was becoming a woman but was yet a girl, felt her cheeks heating up as he stared back at her. She knew that some thought she was adorable because of how petite she was with her ears and tail but since she'd turned 15 she started developing so she didn't look so pixie like. She now had the curves of a woman, her waist having narrowed while her breasts got bigger, giving her a nice hourglass shape. Because she was on the cross country team, she had remained in shape. After she spoke, she listened to him speak. "I'm Lillian... or Lilly." she replied. She became a little uncomfortable as he gazed at her, gently biting her lip until her mother placed her hand on her shoulder.

Looking up at her mom, she stepped back while Margarete stepped forward. "Hello Aries." she said. "I'm Margarete." As he spoke, she chuckled softly and nodded. "Oh, it's quite alright. We just finished getting things ready for you. Please, come in." Stepping back, the two women made room for him to enter though Lilly was still staring at her brother, unsure as to what to think. He was nothing like them. She was so used to her mothers side of the family, everyone usually having cat ears and tails with hair that wasn't exactly normally colored. Like her one uncle had hair that had a blueish tinge to it.

Aries looked at her calmly with those emerald colored eyes of his as she said that her name was Lillian or Lilly he could see that she was still nervous as she bit her lip giving her a cute look. He tried to brush such thoughts away as this was his little sister he thought to himself, but the truth was that she did not feel like his little sister she seemed like a cute little neko to his eyes, his attention shifted to her mother as she stepped forward. Before completely shifting his attention from the young neko he gave her a little smile nothing to be happy about but it was something, "it is nice to meet you" he said a polite tone before finally looking at Margarete while she introduced herself to him and explained that it was alright for him to be here early as he was.

As they stepped back Aries entered the house and he could feel the coolness of the AC over his skin now and he let loose a breath of relief as he was tired of the hot humidity that was outside of the house. On his back the duffel bag was slung over still and he did not drop it as he usually would when he stepped into a house, when he glanced at his little sister as she was staring at him up and down. "You didn't know I was human did you?" he asked in a gentle tone to her now, he glanced at Margarete and he could see that she was just now realizing that she had never told her daughter that her brother was fully human rather than a hybrid like the two of them.

Lilly watched him enter and she brushed her bangs out of her face before stepping back a little. She felt some of the heat from outside seep into the house before her mother closed the door behind him. While she had grown up in Florida and she was used to the heat, that certainly didn't mean that she had to enjoy it which she didn't half the time unless it she was going swimming. When Aries asked if she knew he was human, the girl blushed a little, suddenly realizing that she'd been staring at him and she cleared her throat with a slightly embarrassed look on her face before shaking her head. "No, I didn't know." she replied to him.

Their mother noticed he glanced at him and she looked just a little bashful before she shrugged. "I forgot to mention it." the woman said. "I've never really thought that you being human or not was something to worry about." She wasn't against humans or anything and she couldn't care less that he had taken after his father in that aspect. All that mattered to her was that he was happy and healthy. Turning to her daughter, Margarete spoke again. "Lilly, why don't you show him to his room? I'm sure Aries would like to settle in a bit." she asked the younger neko and Lilly nodded quickly.

Turning to him, Lilly offered another smile. "Your room is this way." she said gently, motioning for him to follow before she head upstairs. At the top of the steps, she paused and pointed down one way. "That's mom's room and a storage closet." she told him before leading the way down the opposite way. "This is the bathroom we'll be sharing and this is my room." she said, pointing out the different rooms before stopping in front of his bedroom and opening the door. "And this will be yours. I know that there isn't much, but mom and I thought you'd like to decorate it however you wanted." Inside the room was a nice bed with a bedside table, a clock and a dresser and then there was a closet as well.

Of course she had no idea that he was human after all had to add a little surprise to everything don't ya he thought to himself jokingly before looking to Margarete as she said that she forgot to mention it. Oh yea of course you just forget to mention to your daughter that her brother is human while she is a hybrid seems normal he thought with a bit of sarcasm dripping from his mental voice now. "Well it isn't a big deal only difference is that you two have the tails and ear" he said to Lilly before turning his attention back to Margarete as she said that she didn't think of him as human or hybrid.

He knew that she probably wanted to say she thought of him as her son rather than human or hybrid, but he knew that she wouldn't say that simply because she wasn't sure how he would react. Sure his little sister seemed to be very energetic and happy that he was here with them but his so called mother knew that he had not wanted to be here, sure he didn't hate either of them but he had people back in Virginia that he actually knew and cared about. Soon enough he was listening to his mother suggesting to Lilly that she take him to his room and he had to admit that it sounded like a good idea to him, as Lilly smiled at him he just gave her that calm look that made him seem rather bored with everything going on around here.

He followed behind her quietly and as he glanced at the room he kind of listened to her explanation but at the same time he kind of let some of it just slip. "It's fine this way, probably won't be putting much up anyways" he said nonchalantly before slinging his duffel bag onto the bed now, he looked around a bit more and then stared at the ceiling for a moment "seems like a nice house" he said in a soft voice before looking at her with that almost bored look on his face still. His eyes seemed to stare right through her rather than looking at her and he licked his lips as he felt a bit thirsty "do you guys have any soda?" he asked in the casual tone before patting the edge of the bed to test out the softness and bounciness of the bed.

Lilly reached back and lightly touched her tail when he mentioned it, feeling the soft fur against her fingers before looking at him with a slight nod when he said the only difference was that she had a tail and ears. With a shrug, she led him upstairs, listening to him follow him. Their mother watched her two children disappear upstairs before sighing, running her fingers through her long hair, thinking about all the things she'd missed out in her sons life. The woman had tried time and again to contact her ex, hoping to at least be part of their sons life but all she ever found were dead ends. With a sigh, Margarete turned and head into the kitchen.

Lilly stepped int the bedroom that was to be his and she looked around at the rather plain room. The bed had a dark red comforter on it with white sheets and pillows. When he told her that he probably wouldn't be putting much up, she nodded again before looking around once more. At his comment about the house, she nodded slowly. "Yeah, it's better then the last place." she said gently, a little unsure as to what to say. Glancing at him again, she could see the bored look on his face, nticing that he didn't really seem to be really looking at her. His next question caught her attention again and she looked thoughtful for a moment. "I.. think we do. I can go check if you want." she told him. "Or I can show you where we usually keep it when we do have it. That way you can just help yourself."

The girl watched him test the bed for softness and how bouncy it was. It was a fairly nice mattress and box-spring set that her mother bought. Her mother had mentioned something about it being memory foam just like theirs, so she knew if that was the type her mom bought, it was bound to be very comfortable.

Aries did not really care if the bed was memory foam or if it was just a plain old bed, before with his father he had slept on a mattress on the floor as it was cheap and not a lot of work to move around. This house was something that made his old house look like a piece of junk, his father always had a problem with money so it was basically learn to earn your own money or you were fucked as he would get nothing for anyone but himself. Food, clothing, stuff for school, everything that Aries had ever gotten had been because he had gotten jobs and earned the money to get them, often he got into fights because people would mention that he was a poor or beggar boy and then he showed them what a real scrapper could do.

His thoughts were soon interrupted as the young neko no his little sister he corrected himself mentioned that she thought that there was soda in the house and that she could go check for him. He shook his head at that idea and then nodded slowly as she said that she could show him the way "yea that sounds like a good idea, after all can't walk around a big house if it is like a maze to you he said in that almost bored tone of his. "How close is the school from here?" he asked as he finally looked away from the bed towards her again, "is it walking distance?" he asked curiously as he was not sure if he wanted to go around riding his motorcycle here unless he had to. "Can't be spending money on gas if I don't have to" he explained lazily, after all he would have to find a part time job to pay for gas soon enough or else that bike was just a giant weight.

She watched him shake his head then nod when she told him that she could show him where the soda was usually kept. With a nod of her own, Lilly moved over to the doorway of the room. "Yeah, I suppose. Besides, it's always easier to know where things are then having to ask all the time." she said with a slight nod, her ears twitching a little. When he asked how close the school was, she paused and looked at him again as he asked if it was in walking distance. "Yeah, it's about a twenty minute walk from here. There's also a bus that stops down the block." she told him. Lilly usually walked to school because she liked to be early and sometimes her track team met before school to talk about different things they had to work on or she was meeting with friends.

"Come on, I'll show you to the soda." she told him after a moment. Turning, the girl head out of the room before pausing in the hall, waiting for him to follow before she led the way back downstairs to show him around a bit on the way through. She showed him quickly where the living room was, their mothers office, the dining room which they only used when having lots of people over, followed by the kitchen where their mother was sitting down with a coffee and a newspaper crossword in front of her. Lilly merely passed their mom and head down a small hall and opened the door to the garage where a second fridge was sitting. "Mom likes to keep things like soda out here." she said as she turned on the light and walked down the three steps into the garage, shivering a little when her feet hit the concrete floor.

Moving over to the fridge, she opened the door and looked inside. There were a couple of sodas inside but there were also a couple alcoholic beverages as well. "I'll have to stop at the store on the way home tomorrow for more soda." she said, more to herself then to him. Their mom didn't really drink soda too often so usually Lilly would stop at the store and pick up some packs of canned soda with money that she had from working. The neko worked for different people in the neighborhood, babysitting and pet sitting. At the moment there was a couple cans of regular cola, some lemon lime soda and root beer in the fridge.

Aries was very glad to hear that the school was within walking distance as he could really use the savings on gas, "that is good the bike would cost too much money and attract attention" he said to no one in particular. Truth was that Aries was a bit of a loner even when he had friends he did not have to have them around him all the time, he just liked to be alone a lot because people talked too much and the wrong thing was said then tempers would flare. Then he would have to fight someone or several people at once and it was just more trouble than it was worth, he never had a steady girlfriend though he did have a few girls that he had fun with back in Virginia when he got bored and that thought snapped him back to reality as he walked into the garage behind his neko little sister.

He really did need to stop calling her neko but he couldn't really help it seeing as she was a neko and he was a human it was something he was not used to yet so he would need some time. "I suppose having soda at all is a good thing" he said to himself before reaching in to grab himself a sprite for himself, he wondered if he should have asked about why she kept the soda out here but at the same time he really didn't care all that much. "Would you mind leading me towards the school tomorrow? I don't actually have school yet but I want to get in and get a schedule among other things, plus who knows maybe you can get the day off to show me around or something" he said in a calm tone.

He looked around the garage and noted where the light switch and the garage door opener were, he had to make sure he could park his bike in here at some point or else the humidity and possible rain would destroy it quickly. That was something he would never allow to happen as that was literally his prized possession and if anything happened to that thing he would be raging at someone faster than they could blink.

Lilly stared into the fridge for a bit before she stepped back and moved towards the steps again while he reached into the fridge and grabbed a sprite. She watched him silently, a thoughtful look on her face as she watched her brother before she brushed her bangs from her eyes while he asked if she could lead him towards the school the next day and she nodded slowly. "Yeah, I can show you the way." she said gently. "I usually walk anyways. Though I hope you don't mind getting up early. I like to get to school early in order to meet with my track team or with some friends." At the mention of maybe her getting the day off to show him around, the girls eyes lit up a little before she looked thoughtful again.

"Well... tomorrow I have a test in my first two classes, then the rest of the day is pretty much either free period or my classes are starting a new chapter, but I should be able to get out of my classes." she said slowly. "I can talk to the counselor about it." The neko nodded to herself as if confirming something before looking at him again. The teachers and staff at the school liked the neko because she was a hard worker and a nice girl, always keeping up with her work and working ahead most of the time so they were pretty laid back with her.

Lilly noticed him looking around the garage and she looked around as well. The garage was fairly empty except for some paint cans on a shelf on one wall, a tool box and two or three boxes of random items. Then their mothers car sat in the garage on one side and her bike leaned against the wall on the opposite side so that it wouldn't hit Margarete's car if it should happen to ever fall.

Aries was glad to hear that she could show him around the school, he figured that if anyone had any thoughts of messing with the new guy they would be distracted from doing such a thing by the hot pink haired little neko that would be beside him. He didn't say thanks or anything as she explained how she would be able to get away from her other class, "well what time does your second class end? I don't really want to be sitting around the school with nothing to do for two classes". His tone back to the boredom it once contained as he looked back towards her now, he also did not want to get up early just to have to wait around because he would be bothered by the teachers most likely and that would just annoy him.

And when Aries got annoyed two things happened someone got a verbal backhand or a fist to the face literally because he had a short tolerance for people who would not listen to common sense or to his explanations. "Do you think Margarete would mind me moving my motorcycle in here? it can't sit outside for too long the humidity here is terrible and well it rains here a lot or so I have heard" he said in that oh so calm tone of his before taking another sip from his sprite. "Also I was wondering do I have a house key made already or do I have to wait on one of those?" he asked curiously as he did not plan on keeping the same schedule over and over as that would be boring and he hated being bored quite often.

It didn't escape her notice that he didn't say thanks when she said she'd be able to get away from her classes but she didn't say anything as he asked her what time her second class ended. She ran her fingers through her hair before she answered him. "Well, on a normal day of class I get out of my second class around 9:30, but since I have exams, I get out of class whenever I'm done with my test." she told him. When he looked at her, she gazed at the blonde haired teen for a long moment, her bright blue eyes staring into his amazing green ones. For a moment she just looked into his eyes before she shrugged slightly.

The girl heard him ask about their mother minding if he moved his cycle into the garage and she blinked at him, remaining silent for a minute. It was strange to her to hear someone call her mother by her name. Usually they called her 'Ms. Bowers' or they just referred to her as Lilly's mom. "No, she won't mind if you do." she told him gently. "She actually made room for you because she was told you had a vehicle that you were bringing, we just didn't know what type."

Lilly looked away from him, slowly gazing around the garage. There was a spot just large enough for a small car to fit next to Margarete's car though there were slight marks on the ground from where boxes had sat at an earlier time. She once more turned to her older brother when asked if he had a house key made already of if he had to wait for one. "Mom is planning on going out later to do that. She has to pick something up at a store anyways." she told him. "She doesn't know what type of schedule you plan on keeping so she thought it best to get you one as soon as possible."

Aries did not really care if she was thinking about getting a thanks from him, he let out a soft yawn as she started explaining the schedule she had for tomorrow. After all he was the guest so she had to put up with him at least for a little while he thought to himself with a dreary sense of humor, he could see her staring her into his eyes now and he kind of lost himself into her eyes as they were so blue he wondered if that was a trait of a hybrid or if that was just the color of her eyes. He shook himself free of her gaze as quickly as he could and then looked at her calmly once again before listening to her saying that he could park his bike into the garage indeed, he was very very relieved to hear that.

Aries gave a little grin as she said that their mother was planning on getting a key for him tonight because she did not know what kind of schedule he was going to be running on. "I don't even know what kind of schedule I will be on" he said in a soft slightly amused but not too energetic voice now, "what is there to actually do around here? like paintball, amusement park, anything honestly?" he asked in a curious tone as he took another sip of his soda now. He wanted to ask what they had been storing in the garage but he really did not feel like asking her because he would have to listen to the explanation and probably some other piece of miscellaneous information she would give that he did not want.

He set the can of sprite down on the counter next to him now as his hand was getting a little cold from holding the can for so long, he looked to her as he rubbed his fingers over one another to try and warm them up. "So a bit disappointed that your new big brother is a human?" he asked with that dreary sense of humor edging around the tone now, he wondered if she was one of the people that thought that one side was better than the other. He had heard so many people claim humans were better and he had heard others speak that hybrids were better, he really didn't care because either way it wasn't like you could change who you are he thought to himself.

Lilly noticed him yawn but she didn't say anything about it as she went on to explain her schedule for the next day. She wasn't sure as to what to think about her older brother. He seemed so... disconnected and he seemed to act as if he could careless about being there. After he broke her gaze, the young neko shook herself mentally before looking away for a moment then looking at him again a little bit later. She could tell that he was relieved that he'd be able to park his bike in the garage. Noticing the grin a moment later, she tilted her head slightly before shrugging at his comment about what he said about his schedule.

"Do around here?" she echoed before looking thoughtful. "Well... I think there's a paintball place somewhere nearby. I'd have to ask one of my friends. As for an amusement park, yeah. There's an amusement park at one end of the boardwalk then a water park at the other end. There's plenty of shops, a mall and a theater in the area." As she explained about the different things to do, she leaned against the railing to the steps that led up into the house from the garage. "There's also one of those go-kart places that have different types of tracks and racing things as well as some golf courses and mini-golf. My one friend told me that a new ATV place opened up too."

She was a little uncomfortable having him watching her but she remained calm, her cat ears twitching a couple times as she gazed at him. His question about her being disappointed that he was a human caught her by surprise and it showed on her face before she smiled slightly with a chuckle. "No, not disappointed." she replied. "I'll admit I was looking forward to having a neko for an older brother, so when I saw you were human I was surprised but not disappointed. After all, it'll be interesting."

He listened intently as she listed off some things that there were to do around here and it was exactly as he thought, there were way more things to do here than there were in Virginia he thought to himself. Where he lived it would have been football or paintball that was about it maybe dirt biking but that was slim as not a lot of people had them, "water park huh?" he asked curiously while looking at her with curious eyes now. "I know very little about nekos as you have probably guessed already so hearing about a water park makes me think about a cat's hate of water, do you have that kind of trait as well?" he asked in a sheepish voice as he was not exactly sure how to make that question sound normal to anyone.

He was not sure why but he had been a bit relieved when she said that she was not disappointed that he was human, surprised he could handle but for some reason he felt if this innocent but very cute little neko was disappointed in him that he might feel upset about it. Now he began to wonder if perhaps all nekos looked as nice as she did, if they did he could come to enjoy them quite a bit he thought to himself playfully. "Well glad to hear it" he said in a playful tone, "I mean you think you got a surprise try learning that your mother and sister are nekos and you are going to live with them suddenly and to top it off you are not a neko like them" he said with a light laugh.

When he had first learned of this new he had been talking with his mother and he had dropped the phone as he had no idea how to take this information. After all his father had told him that he had no mother for a long time, so he had assumed that it was her who had run off or maybe she was dead and then almost eighteen years later voila he had a mother and a sister to boot. Oh that was not the best part though instead he found out it was his dad who had been the one to cheat on her and he had been blocking her calls or letters to him for the past eighteen years such joy his father was he thought to himself not a bit angry about it.

The look of curiosity in his eyes caught the girls attention and she nodded slightly when he asked about the water park. When he asked about the hate of water, she blinked before covering her mouth and giggling in a cute way before shaking her head with a kind smile. She wasn't laughing at him, but at the nature of the question. "No, I don't hate water. In fact I love it. Though some neko's do dislike water to a certain extent." she told him. "In fact, one of my.... our... little cousins is very anti-water. At least she was last time I saw her."

The girl felt herself relaxing a bit more around her brother and she brushed her bangs back behind her ear before gazing at him as he spoke. She heard his playful tone and grinned before laughing softly and nodding in agreement. "I'm sure it came as quite the shock." she replied. "While mama didn't tell me that you weren't neko, she did tell me that she'd been kept out of your life by... dad." She said dad with an awkward look on her face. It was clear that she'd never had a father before and that she was awkward talking about it.

Her mother had told her that she had a father who had cheated on her, but she never knew that she had a brother and her mother never had never shown her a picture of her father, so just the idea of her father being alive was new to her.

Aries couldn't help but smile a tiny bit again as she giggled as it was a cute and nice sound to hear, once she explained that for all nekos it was different he nodded slowly. "That makes sense seeing as everyone is different" he said to her now before taking a long sip of his soda, he was about to suggest they go back into the house but she mentioned what he had and then revealed that she knew what his father had been doing. "Hmph do yourself a favor and don't consider him a father, he is just a worthless old man who only knew how to spend money for himself" he said in a cold tone before downing the last of his soda and throwing the can in the garbage with a bit more force than was necessary.

"You are lucky not to have known him, he would have just used you until he could to get whatever it was he wanted from you" he said in a calmer tone now, "it's just the way he was". He wasn't sure why he was bothering to tell her all this after all that man was done for now so there was no way he was ever going to meet his neko daughter and wife again, not like he cared for either of them Aries thought coldly. "As for keeping Margarete out of my life yea he did that twenty four seven so I would never know that I had someone else besides him to rely on if things got bad like this, too bad his plan seems to have backfired and I came to the very place he was trying to keep me from" he said jokingly.

The young woman smiled when he nodded and she brushed her hair from her face while gazing into his eyes, watching as he drank his soda. However, his response about their father was a little surprising and she tilted her head while listening to what he said. Her ears twitched and she looked at her feet with thoughtful look on her face before looking at him when he said that she was lucky to of not known him. "He was that bad?" she asked him, her voice soft. The girl kind of felt bad that she had lived a rather nice, comfortable life while her older brother had lived in a neglectful home.

As he brought up their mother, she was yet again surprised when he called her by her first name but she hid it. It made sense that he wouldn't call her mom since he didn't know the older neko. "Yeah, I guess his plan did backfire quite a bit." she agreed with a nod. After a moment she shrugged. "Come on. Lets head back in." she said, "It's getting warmer out here and mom won't like it if we keep the door open too long." she told him before starting up the steps and entering the house, standing by the door to close it once he was in the house.

Aries looked at her with calm but kind of hard eyes as she asked if their father was truly that bad, "yea the old man cared for two things and two things only money or himself" he said with a rather venomous tone as he remembered the last time he had seen his father before he was arrested. He shrugged now letting the cold look fall from his face "but doesn't matter as I won't be seeing him again anytime soon" he said with a little more cheer now, he was not the most excitable person in the world but even he could give a smile every now and then he thought to himself.

As she said that they should go in he nodded walking after her before finishing off his soda, he threw the can into the garbage as he walked towards the door. "So how long have you known that you had a brother anyways? before all this happened?" he asked in a curious tone as he stepped into the house, "I mean I know you didn't know that I was human but did you know I existed?" he wondered simply because she and his mother had been kept secret from him all his life. Would their mother tell her about a brother and father that she might never see he asked himself now, she seemed nice so maybe she hid it so her daughter never got her hopes up on having more family or something like that.

She didn't think she'd ever heard such hate in a persons voice before so she just stared at him as he spoke about the man that had fathered them. The girl wondered if perhaps she should hate the man as well for what he'd done to the family. She could of grown up with a big brother, but instead their father kept the family apart. After he shrugged and said he wouldn't be seeing their father anytime soon, she merely nodded, unsure of what to say. Brushing her hair from her face while turning, she led the way back into the house.

"How long?" she echoed before looking thoughtful. "A couple years. I over heard mom talking about you with grandfather. She was crying and talking about missing you. I'm pretty sure it was your birthday." She gazed down at her feet as she spoke. "She usually gets upset on days like that. But after I over heard them, I asked and she told me some of what had happened. I had wanted to write, but mom discouraged it, not wanting me to end up hurt."

Aries was a little surprised to learn that she had known about his existence for a couple of years, he wondered if she had imagined him being completely different from the way he was. "She was right not to want you to write to me because I never would have gotten your letters unfortunately, the old man was real good about keeping you guys a secret from me never knew you existed until social services came to the house saying it was the place I had to go or a foster home". He smiled a bit as she walked past him "but even though he used every little bit of his power to keep us apart and yet seems the power of family overpowers greed" he said in a slightly cheerful tone now.

He remembered the phone call he had with Margarette about how his father had actually tried to take money from them with the offer that she could see him. But of course their father lied and just took the money which was also being added to his criminal charges with assault and embezzling from his work place, "gonna be honest I'm glad I got a cute little sister because if I got a brat of a sister I think this place would be so dreary" he said in a joking tone while giving her a playful smile.
