Saviour of a world....sort of (Maxy x SpellBinder)

Jen sighed and shook her head slightly. "I only remember them a little they were told to me what seems like so long ago, you haven't told me any of those stories for a very long time.... I don't believe in them one bit they were just stories father even if they were true I dont think I am the one that would be the princess. I also dont think he would be the one. I mean for crying out loud Shara was scaring half to death and she is the sweetest thing around. I do not think I know of a way that he would even have a chance fighting against anything." She said and shook her head.

"You may not believe them my dear, but the village elders do, along with a great deal of the others who inhabit the forest. Many of them could well see this human's arrival as a sign of not only the truth of the prophecy, but that it will soon be fulfilled....you may soon find much more attention on you than before Jen" Her father walked over, reaching out to gently rub her shoulder. "It may fall to you to make sure that this boy is ready to become the hero that the prophecy foretells, and for you to help him in his quest to unite the kingdoms of this land to fight the coming darkness.....or we may all suffer fates worse than death"

She sighed and shook her head about what her father had to say not really wanting to hear it. "You know how I feel about prophecies. How do you expect me to follow something blindly with no proof and call it fate? Why does it have to be me this human seems as if he can barely stand on his own two feet let alone do much else. I don't think he would understand what was going on any more then I want to believe that it is happening." She said not pulling away from her fathers touch.

"Whether you believe it or not my dear the prophecies have always come true in the past, it would be foolish to simply ignore them because you don't believe them" He rubbed her shoulder softly. "The human may seem....unconventional but...it is your job to prepare him, protect him. Even if he's not the chosen one of prophecy, you may need to protect him, prepare him for life in this world. We have not seen a human for a long time...and rumours tell that humans can have a....strange effect on the creatures of the world" He stepped away, slowly turning to go. "When you've eaten, find the human and bring him into our home, at least for the evening"

She grumbled to herself and complained about stupid prophecies not thinking that they should come true at all. She relaxed under her fathers touch as he started to rub her shoulder. She gave a bark of laughter "Father you have no idea the work you have given to me this human does not seem to know a thing that will help him survive here. It is my best guess that he should just stay in this village the rest of the time he is here and not wander out it does not look like he could survive a night anywhere." She said shaking her head.

"Well as difficult as it may be, it's your job to teach him to survive. He can't simply spend the rest of his life in this village" Her father smiled and shook his head. "I'm sure he'll be fine. I doubt any of the creatures of the forest will want to kill a human, according to the stories they had a remarkable dominance over nature. Some say it was their downfall in a way" He moved his hand from her shoulder and gently patted her head. "Well....I'll be retiring to get some sleep. Tomorrow, bring this human to see me and the elders, we'll judge if he is the human of prophecy or not..."

Outside, Nate had moved a little further from the edge of the village to get a little privacy. He could feel the eyes of the guards burning into the back of his head, more than likely they weren't happy at someone assosciating with their beloved princess or something. Once he found a fallen tree trunk, he sat down and sighed, lifting his glasses and rubbing his eyes. "Maybe if I go to sleep then I'll wake up back home...."
