Rich wage war and the poor die (Felixia & Askeladd)

She giggled, "Yes, Michael, right away." She bowed out and went out to fetch his food. "So you never answered me, do you want me to sleep in a different room for the night....?" She trailed off, looking at Maria as she left her offer in the air. She went about preparing master's soup, tossing ingredients into the kettle over the fire. Garlic, herbs, some beef, salt, pepper, and others quickly turned into a soup that she stirred with a wooden spoon. After several minutes of cooking, she finished and spooned out a bowl and walked back into Michael's quarters. "Hey Michael, here if your food." She handed him the bowl and a spoon to go with it. "Anything else you require?"

Maria shook her head as her face flushed again, "even if you are in the other room........you and Michael" when she realized he was here she blushed deeper again "would hear.....us" he said in a soft tone. Michael was trying to warm up his body by rubbing his arms with his hands, he could not help but curse the luck they got with the rain right now, it was coming down like a waterfall today and if it continued like this the wagons would get stuck in the mud. He smiled a bit as Janice came in with the soup and he took it happily, "I don't really need anything else at the moment Janice thank you though" he said before taking a tentative sip of the hot soup, the taste was divine and the warmth that spread through his body was welcome so he dug in ravenously.

She nodded and left to go back to Maria, "Well, you could always go to his tent....he is big enough to get the other guys to leave you and him alone for the night. Heh, they will be pissed to have to sleep in the rain though." She shrugged and poured herself a bowl and brought another to Maria, sitting down next to the fire afterwards. "Or I am sure there will be enough time in the morning at this rate, looks like the rain might last all night, meaning it will take forever to get the carts out." She smirked and sighed softly, "I am not sure why I am trying to hook you and him up...considering...yea....I guess I just want to distract myself as much as I can." She shivered and started to eat, letting the warm soup heat up her suddenly cold body.

Maria shook her head "it is no different, people would hear us...." she said in that soft embarrassed tone of her as she finished the last letter in Andrew's name, now she was set to work on the flowers that she would put around his name. It was strange to most but Andrew actually enjoyed flowers quite a bit so Maria hoped this would make him happy, as Janice mentioned what happened to her she went a little pale before putting down her sewing items. Soon she was right next to Janice gently hugging her with her slender arms, "I know it was a terrible thing to go through, I just thank the gods that Michael was able to stop more from happening" and almost as if he could hear their hushed conversation Michael let out a sneeze from his section of the tent.

"I will get better and forget about it...in time." She shrugged and leaned against Maria, enjoying her embrace. She laid her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes. "Maria....do you think Michael likes me? I mean....more then just a pretty thing?" She asked, popping up a little to look her in the eye. Her eyes blazed softly, pleading for a real answer that wasn't gilded. She squeezed Maria's leg softly in encouragement.

( Sorry I just started to be able to post again, alil rocky)

Maria looked at her calmly as Janice asked the question of whether Michael liked her in another way, "I cannot say honestly for he is kind to most, you are beautiful and kind as he is so it is possible" she said in a soft tone. "But the person you have to ask this would be Michael himself for he is the only one that can give you a true answer" she said truthfully now, Maria wrapped her slender arms around her once more pulling her into a gentle embrace to comfort her.

She nodded at the answer and rested her face in the crook of Maria's neck. "What about you? Do you like me, you know, as more then just a friend?" She blushed softly, her fur at her cheeks changing to a darker color then usual. She didn't know if it was right to ask the question, but she had heard and seen girls together before..."I'm sorry if that is too stupid of a question. You don't have to answer." She pushed away in embarrassment and turned to the fire to hide her flustered attitude.

Maria blushed oh so deeply at such a question from Janice, "I have never had such thoughts about a woman Janice" she said honestly "but I believe if I ever did they would be for you" she said with a gentle smile. Her slender arms wrapped around her gently as she looked at the fire, "and I think if you ask Michael about how he feels you will get the answer you wish" she whispered softly into her ear. While they spoke Michael was tossing and turning upon his bed as he could not fall asleep, too many things were plaguing his mind at the moment one of which was whether or not he should tell the high lord he had killed nearly one hundred of their own men.

"Thank you Maria." She smiled warmly and sighed, standing up and stretched a little. "Well, I will ask him tomorrow...if I find the courage to. Time to head to bed I guess." She held out her hand and helped Maria to stand up, before walking over into the next room to lay down. Shrugging out of her robes and tucking them under her cot, she wrapped t he blanket around herself and laid down. "Good night Maria, wish me luck." She giggled softly and closed her eyes.

Maria also went to sleep but Michael could not sleep something about the night was just calling to him, he took his sword and only that along with a pair of pants and walked out into the soft drizzle of rain. He was just outside of the tent but right now he seemed like he was miles way from everything, the only sound that could be heard was the sound of the water hitting the muddied earth along with the occasional roar of thunder. He smiled as he drew his sword his movements of practice had been smooth coordinated because that was what he was taught, but now he was simply using the blade as an extension of his body to him there was no sword right now it was simply another part of him, right now he seemed like a child just having fun in the rain even though it would probably not make his cold any better he didn't care.

Yawning softly and sitting up on her side, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Janice slowly woke up. She looked over and saw that Maria was still asleep, she smiled and stood up, thinking she might as well start breakfast. Slipping on her robe, she tied it loosely around herself and walking into the main room. She cocked her head to the side in confusion, seeing wet grass inside the tent. She looked up and didn't see any tares....She ghosted over and peeked in on Master, and frowned seeing his wet form curled up. Sighing sadly, she walked over and tossed another blanket onto him. "What a stupid thing to do..." She whispered before leaving his room and padding over to Maria's bedside. She knelt down next to her and softly shook her.

At the moment Michael was awake but did not feel like getting up, he wasn't any sicker than he had been yesterday he was just feeling rather lazy after a fun night in the rain. Maria was sleeping quite nicely dreaming of Andrew as Janice gently shook her, she came out of her dream in a stupor "wha- yes? I mean no" she said in such a rapid voice it was hard to distinguish any of the random replies that she gave from the others.

Giggling softly, she waiting till Maria came around fully before saying anything. "Morning sleepy head, Michael is still sick...and I'm not sure if he should be walking in the mud..." She worried, turning into a fretful mother mode. "What do you think we should do? I mean...he is a prideful person....but I don't think he should let that pride run him into the ground." She said, standing up and handing Maria her robe, enjoying the quick peak at her. She was smiling warmly went she went back into the main room, going over to the fire and stroking it into life.

Maria blushed deeply as Janice giggled at her, she was not a morning person unless she woke up by herself if another woke her she always did something embarrassing like that. She took the robe from her quickly and dressed up before joining Janice at the fire "he will be fine, he does that when it rains often he enjoys the solitude along with the lack of noise from everyone else around him" she said softly as she knelt beside her. "He has a little cold as always afterwards but he will go on just give him a little time to awake and you will see him suddenly revived as if he were never shivering or sneezing up a storm" she said in a gentle tone while giving a little giggle to her own joke.

She smiled and nodded, standing up from the fire and walking over to the food sacks to determine their breakfast. She knelt down and shuffled through the sacks, pulling out eggs, some venison strips, and several loaves of bread. "Hey, I am going to go get some water for breakfast. Be back in a little bit." She smiled sweetly at Maria then headed out, trying to remember which end of camp had the stream....She bend over outside and picked up a bucket that had been turned over. "Shoot, and I thought it would of been easy. Oh well." She started to wander off, still thinking.

Maria nodded to her "okay be back soon though as I am sure Michael will wake up soon and hungry but he won't eat without everyone present" she called out cheerfully as she started to cook the eggs for all of them. While they chatted Michael awoke with the laziness of a cat trying to stand up from it's napping spot, his wiry body stretching out with several snaps and pops heard from his stretching. His hair a mess from the rain and bedhead of course, but strangely enough though he had been playing in the rain sick he was invigorated with new strength for the day. He would have to get the men moving within the hour to get back to the estate and then take his personal troops back to his village, there were many loved ones that wished to see their brothers, sons, and fathers back in their homes where they belonged.

Skipping back to the tent after fetching the water, she smiled as she ducked in and came over to the fire, sitting down on her knees. "Ok, here we go." She set the bucket down and sniffed, smiling at the smell. "It smells lovely, Maria. I guess I should go see if Michael is up yet." She stood up and padded over to the closed off room and poked her head in. She saw he was awake and smiled brightly, opening the flap and setting it up. "Morning Michael, breakfast will be done in just a few more minutes. Is there anything you require?" She asked, walking over to his head and trying to fix his hair....not really succeeding.
