Arthuria was a peaceful land ruled by the king of course who seemed to deal out fair justice to all, the land was united or so most people thought, but there were two high lords who were fighting over a small piece of territory. High Lord Agthar believed the land to be stolen from his ancestors by High Lord Bellethane's ancestors and demanded it back, but High lord Bellethane refused under the grounds that his ancestors had ruled the land here for over one hundred years. It was a petty argument that had drawn the attention of all the high lords and the king himself, as a result the king ruled that the two lords would have to agree to some sort of treaty or fight over the land. Whoever won the battle would gain the land forever, but he would not allow them to seek help from allies or from the king's army, as a result it would be only their personal armies which barely numbered at five hundred each. The High lord's agreed to their king's ruling and soon prepared for battle, the days stretched thin as it approached and now that day had arrived, each of the High lords had chosen to fight instead of try and negotiate with each other which proved their arrogance and stupidity to others.
It was near the mid afternoon when the heavy steps of armored men and beasts could be heard, High lord Agthar's army marched towards the land that High Lord Bellethane ruled for now. Their exact numbers unknown but it was suspected that he had pulled every able bodied man to battle from his estate to swell his forces to near seven hundred rather than five hundred, it was a clever move as it gave him more soldiers but he did not seek help from others. Leading the personal army of High lord Agthar was Knight Michael Welkin he was not called sir Welkin because he disliked the sound of being called sir, most of the soldiers referred to him as knight Michael or just Michael. Though there were occasions where sir would be brought out as his title, he marched the army to face their enemies who waited just outside of the village that was ruled by Bellethane. 'How foolish of them to stage a battle right outside of the village, their commander is not worried for the safety of the villagers at all' Michael thought to himself grimly as he pulled himself from his horse. Bellethane's army was a mere five hundred and with a battle on open ground the seven hundred of Agthar's army would overrun them in no time. The horn sounded and soon the battle began, each army charging towards the other as men let out hoarse cries to steady their nerves and to try and frighten the enemy that drew nearer with every step that each of them took.
