"I think we should walk. It's a little longer, but we can get by undetected a lot easier from the people chasing me." Alistair almost forgot about his pursuers, and wished he had forgotten. Having people chase after him every second of the day wasn't a pleasing thought, and having someone with him made it more dangerous.
He looked at her as her hand glowed. "If you need me to help out, I'll do everything I can. It means so much to me that you're helping me out this much, it's the least I can do." He smiled at her as he took a step out of the cave. He felt the sunlight on his exposed skin, kind of a warm feeling, but different from the feeling from the fire place. He looked back and waited for Ava, readying himself for if he needed to give her a small blast of healing magic in case something went wrong.
