Lund lets out a low almost animal sound growl as he hears the mans words. He steps up shoving the man harder up the path. "Then you had better start moving us faster." He then takes the next few steps grabbing the mans arm as he begins to almost drag him along the path wanting to hurry him along. "If they have hurt her I promise you will die last and worst of all your friends."

The man put his feet firmly into the ground, "You promise to be most merciful upon me or I will take you no further then this. I am the only one that can take you to her..." he smirked a little, knowing he had some bit of power over this situation, "and without your word, sworn upon that girl's life, that I will be shown mercy... you'll never find her in one piece."

Lund glances at Angus as the bandit speaks gritting his teeth together hard. "You want my word not to harm you. How many women have you harmed are watched be harm?" his eyes glance towards Nessa and Angus before turning back. "Alright I won't harm you since you are helping us."

The bandit smirked a little, "Doesn't matter much what I have done in the past does it? All that matters it here and now really..." he started to move again, picking up the pace slightly now that he had gotten his deal with them.

He directed them to the hidden path as she said he would. They never would have seen it without him telling them it was there. Once up the path, they started passing cave entrance after cave entrance, walking past at least a dozen before as the sun was setting he finally stopped them before the mouth of one, "That's their hide out...."

Lund clenches his fist hurrying after the man as they follow the trail into the higher peaks. He nervously glances down into each cave hoping that each one will be the one they need. He pauses outside the one the man pointed out as he leans his head in listening quietly for any sounds from inside.

Deep inside the bandit leader eyes Kiana having finished with her for the second time. "You were alot of fun my dear, but Im afraid Im going to have to share you with the rest of the men since we only got you and not the other girl."

There was no response from Kiana as she lay on a makeshift fur bed that the leader had taken and rape her upon. Twice. The first time, she had opted to fight him even as he had sliced her dress in two right the front, nicking her skin in the process and leaving small cuts here and there. She had scream and fought but it only got her slaps and punches. At some point one of them had busted her lip open. He one eye was already swelling a little. He was rather rough with her that time and promised her that if she'd stop fighting, it wouldn't be as painful. She stopped the fighting, but it didn't really make it any less painful for her heart and her spirit. After the second time, she just lay there, used and bruised, her eyes blank.

The leader get up from off he little bed and redid his pants as he went to the little common room on the other side of a fabric curtain they had set up for a little privacy in the place. "She's yours next Baker..." he told one of the other men who smiled and rose, going behind the curtain for his own time with Kiana.

Lund turns towards the bandit that lead them up to the mountain cave. "How many men are left in there and how far back how are they?" He unsnaps his sword pulling it free. With his free hand he takes off his heavy cloak placing it around Nessa's shoulders. Once he has the answer from the bandit he pushes him back into Angus. "You stay here with him and Nessa. If I dont come back then take the cart and get out of here."

The last of the bandits kneel down near a warm fire as they begin to dice on who will get to go next with Kiana. Laughs and jeers fill the cave as they continue to dice while Baker gets his turn making jokes to themselves.

He was only good a few moments before Angus whispered to Nessa to keep her eyes to the wall. Once she did as he told her, he then turned to the other bandit, "Our bargain has been completed..." he told him as he pulled out his knife. "I am a man of my word, quick and merciful..." he said a moment before he quickly slit the bandits throat, ending his miserable life fast. Once he wiped his hands and the dagger he looked to Nessa, "You take this knife, I will be back..." kissing her, he followed after Lund into the cave.

Meanwhile, the bandits within were completely clueless as to the danger about to come and interrupt all their fun time. It had only been a few minutes that passed as the bandit that had just gone in to have his time with Kiana came back out again, declaring next and getting a round of jeers from the others as the next in line stood and headed in to the small room. "You didn't last very long," one said to the man who had just used her. He laughed in reply and joked, "Who could last long inside a sweet piece like that? It's been so long since I've had a bit of fun... I'll last longer next time."

Lund glances back not making a move to keep Angus from killing the bandit. He hesitates when Angus begins to follow him into the cave. His voice is barely a whisper as they descend into the cave together. "You dont have to follow me inside Angus. You have Nessa to think about now." He does come to a stop every so often listening inside the cave as he starts to hear the jeers from deeper inside on the path they are following.

The bandits who have had their turn begin to dice to see what order they will get to go in next. The next bandit behind the curtain closes it moving to the fur mattress sneering as he climbs on top of her.

Angus shakes his head, "Kiana is your woman, but she is my friend and Nessa's friend as well. Neither of us would ever leave her behind. We would never leave you behind as well..." He quickly raised his fingers to his lips as he hear noise ahead. The bandits were not that far into the cave really, just deep enough to keep out the cold of the mountain air. There were only three there around the fire, one that had not even been part of the raid but had just remained back at the hideout. They were completely unarmed and foolish to have no weapons near at hand.

There is the sound of Kiana suddenly whimpering from behind the curtain and one of the ones that had already had her laughed, "We'll need to teach her to be a bit more vocal." He raised his voice, directing it towards Kiana knowing she could hear, "Makes a man feel good to have his bitch sound a bit more responsive." As is on cue, Kiana yelped out a little bit as her current 'partner' twisted her breast to get a response out of her.

Lund nods smiling softly for the first time since they started this trek glad to have Angus along to watch his back. He places his hand on Angus shoulder giving it a soft squeeze as he turns back hearing the laughter coming from the bandits. His sword raises anger burning through him as he hears Kiana yelp from behind the curtain. He steps out into the light of the fire rushing forward suddenly. HIs sword comes slamming down into the man who spoke his words about Kiana.

The other bandits seem surprised at the sight of Lund not seeing Angus. Their surprise grows further as Lund cuts down the man who just spoke all of them seeming to be frozen in place for the moment.

Two men down, the third was frozen a moment before he turned to go for his weapon at last only to turn and find Angus there, who swiftly delivered the man's death.

"What the hell is going on!?" called the man's voice from behind the curtain who was still in the middle of pump himself into Kiana and didn't seemed worried enough to stop but just called to his now dead friends, "It's a bit hard to focus on fucking this bit with you all making such a ruckus. I was quiet for you now you be it for me."

Angus left Lund to go finish that one of as it was his right to do so for his lady's honor.

Lund swallows as he steps over the mans friends. He pauses just outside the curtain glancing back at his friend before slashes the curtain in half. He steps forward pressing his sword to the mans neck. "Get up nice and slowly." He takes the mans arm shoving him back with a hard punch to the jaw. He waits till he is just out of Kiana's sight before stabbing the man in the gut twisting his sword before ripping it out. "You made her suffer now you will suffer. I stabbed you deep enough to make you bleed out." He wipes his sword on the mans pants.

He turns moving back to Kiana's side as he kneels next to her. He swallows as he moves to try and cover her with the ragged remains of his dress. "Kiana? Its me Lund." He touches her cheek turning her head to look into her eyes.

Kiana was a little lifeless as she lay there with her eyes shut even as he spoke softly to her. Very slowly her eyes opened again, seeming unfocused at first as she found his face. There seemed to be little response to his presence there beside her. She was stunned speechless and likely in great shook as well.

Angus appeared, holding a blanket he had found out of Lund, keeping his eyes away from the scene to give Kiana a little bit of her dignity if he could.

Lund swallows as she seems to be so lifeless. He turns back grabbing the blanket from Angus whispering a thank you. He lifts Kiana up as he wraps the blanket around the woman shaking his head slowly. He cradles Kiana close keeping the blanket wrapped around her as he stands. "Im here for you Kiana. Im sorry I was so late." He turns to look at Angus. "Lets get her back to the wagon and then a warm fire."

Angus agreed with him as he went on ahead to reach Nessa and let her know what had happened. Kiana was still and quiet in his arms as he held her close. Thought she did not speak it, it felt wonderfully save in Lund's arms once more, but it could not cover the dirty feeling inside her that was overwhelming her. Before this day, she had been Lund's and his alone. Now? She shut her eyes tight, a little tear slipping down her cheek. Now she was unfit for the man that held her.

Reuniting with Nessa again, the group made there way back to the cart, the dark having taken over the sky already and making their pace slow.

Lund continues to hold her close till the reach the cart. He unbuckles his sword laying it in the back. He ties his horse to the back of the cart before climbing into the wagon. His arms wrap around her as he holds her close trying to keep her warm as they travel. "Kiana Im here for you. I know I was late in getting to you but Im here now. I love you." He strokes her cheek softly as he whispers softly in her ear.

Nessa takes up the reigns of the cart once more and Angus leads the way, no one really speaking much to one another. They were hours behind but had to keep moving until they found some kind of place to stay for the night. Angus had thought to suggest staying in the bandits cave, but could not submit Kiana to that for the night. "I'm going to ride ahead, find a place to pull of, keep on the path Nessa," he told her as he kicked his horse off along the path.

Meanwhile, Kiana was still very silent. She was afraid to open her lips for fear that the only thing that would come out would be cries of grief. She didn't want to seem weak like that though inside herself she was broken. As Lund held her she rolled over to give her back to him, resting her head against a pillow in the back of the cart. She just needed to sleep...

Lund shivers as he keeps Kiana close trying to keep her warm. He grabs another blanket wrapping it around both of them. He leans closer pressing his forehead to hers softly. "Please love talk to me. I know I was late but please." He runs his fingers along Kiana's cheek fighting back his own grief as she seems to have given up.

He glances up hearing Angus ride off swallowing once more. His eyes glance up at Nessa as he tries to think of some way to reach Kiana. "Nessa is..is there any way you can fix her a new dress? We havent had time to get her anything else to wear." He reaches into his pack grabbing an extra shirt and pants. He tenderly removes the shattered dress and replacing it with his pants and shirt before wrapping them both back up.

Nessa tried to smile, talking brightly to keep the mood as bright as she could, "If you drive the cart tomorrow Lund, I can spend the day finishing up one of the other dresses you commissioned me to make. There is not much left to do on the blue one." After that the three of them entered a tense silence once again. The whole while that Lund had moved about to change Kiana, she had let him and moved about to assist him with things like pulling the shirt on over her head, she never cracked the frown across her lips or said a word, even though he asked her to speak.

A ways down the path, Angus appeared again letting them know he had found another small cave they could pull off into for the night. It was not far and they were there before long at all. Angus put his hand on Lund's shoulder, "Help me set up, Nessa will stay with her. Might be best to give her a moment with another woman..."

Lund lays her back stroking her cheek as the cart rides across the trail. "Soon well be able to see some of the farm lands my family owns." He cradles Kiana close still hoping for something as he offers her abit of water. He sighs softly as he runs his fingers through her hair trying to smooth it down somewhat.

Lund turns hearing Angus speak. He nods quickly kissing Kiana's cheek as he leaves her with Nessa. He helps unpack the cart starting a large fire inside the cave outside of the cold air coming into the cave. He returns to the cart lifting Kiana out and carrying her inside to sit beside the fire.

In the short time they had been alone, Nessa had held Kiana as she cried a little into her shoulder. Nessa just let her knowing that she needed to vent herself of the horrible emotions inside her. When Lund returned, Nessa watched and Kiana seemed to quickly bottle herself back up again, the crying just seeming to stop as if she had blew them out like a candle. As they sat around the fire, Nessa could see the stress in Kiana's face as she tried to keep herself from crying anymore. She was trying to hide her real pain from Lund, but she was not doing a very good job of it.

Lund gets a small bowl of food offering it to Kiana. He swallows setting it down as she doesnt take it rubbing his chin. He eats just a small portion of his food before donning his heavy cloak once more. "Im going to make sure the horses are secure and keep a watch." He slips out of the cave braving the weather as it turns colder and starts to snow. He glances up at the sky feeling his emotions just ready to give out.

Once he was gone, Nessa whispered to Angus that he should go with him as well, letting him know it was best that she have some more time with Kiana. Angus did not question her though he wondered what he couldn't be around for. He was out of Kiana's sight, getting his cloak from the cart as she watched the girl, thinking they were alone again wrap her arms around Nessa, bury her face against her and burst into heavy crying. Then he understood.

Going outside, he thought that Lund should know... "She's crying," he told him as he came up beside him, quickly placing his hand on Lund's shoulder to stop him from running back to her side, "Don't. I don't think she'll cry in front of either of us. She only started when she thought I was out of the cave. She looked like she needed it and perhaps she does. We men fight to get out our frustrations, perhaps she just needs to cry for a bit. Maybe then she'll be a bit better."

Lund is pacing outside when he sees Angus come out towards him. He turns ready to ask why he isnt inside but pauses hearing his words. He does indeed start to go to her but stops once he hears Angus words. He begins pacing again feeling his anger boiling up inside of him. "If I had stayed near the wagon she would have been safe Angus. This isnt the kind of thing a man does to protect the woman he asked to marry him."

He shakes his head as he slams his fist against the cart shaking in frustration. "I gave her my signet ring to wear till I could fine a proper ring." He leans his head against the cart closing his eyes slowly.
