It had been less then a week sense Nevaeh along with the other so called â??Resortsâ? had been locked down. Yet, it was not quite time to unlock the doors to the hotel rooms and let the survivors out to roam over there new home. Nevaeh was a rather large â??Resortâ? about 40 or so square miles of park, farms, housing, golf course and the mall and hotel that made up its heart toward the front. Guarded by its large castle like walls, the work outside them locked out. Nevaeh was made to run with out help from the outside world, it had it own power, its own water souse, its own TV and radio stationsâ?¦.its own way of communication with the other resorts. Built to survive the apocalypse its designer created to wipe out all he saw unworthy.

Dr. Varick was his name, owner of one of the largest Medical Companies and a group of Five stars Resorts around the world. The doctor had been plotting all of this for year. Building 55 resorts around to world to house the people he chose to survive. Making the virus that would spread quickly and bring down the race he hated so much. All so that he could restart and make a world he saw best. Unleashing the deadly virus that his Company has been working on for the better part of the new century. Little did he know that over 40 of his beloved resorts had fallen into the hands of one of his creationsâ?¦Gail.

Such a rare blood type that when mixed with the virus created a new race. Human in ever sense of the word but so much more. So much smarter then what the great Doctor Varick had planned. Gail and the rest of the group Varick chose to run his resorts getting a hold to much needed information and using it to take over. Invitations sent out to save more then what Varick wanted. Random people and there families saved by a "Fully Payed Vacation for them and there families. Even if it was only six thousand people per resort.even if they could hold over twenty thousand with out being over populated. Gail and her people had to think about the years to come. Knowing all to well what the virus could do and now long they would be locked behind the walls of their sanctuary.
_______

Gail let her upper body lean over the guard rail that kept her from falling from the fourth level of mallâ??s food court. Tomorrow was on her mind, the day her and her brethren would free Nevaehâ??s population from their rooms. After all they had been locked up in there hotel rooms ever sense they got here. Her plan had worked for all 40 resorts, six of them in the United States alone. Inventions going out to all corners of the world. In Nevaeh alone six military units came freely to Nevaeh after the resort offered to host there military ball free of charge, then there was the three internet sites that came for a convention, the four foot ball teams that just wanted to get away for a month, a few other random conventions and get together for random groups and people, plus all the random invitations that where just sent out to anyone and everyone who was willing to make the trip with there family and all the people that â??Took Jobsâ?? in the resort and its large four level mall. And yet something seemed to be on the master mindâ??s mind.

Red orbs just watching the empty mall as a few of the people that helped her sat behind the thinking girl. All drinking their coffee and talking about random things. Chatting about how everything went so well not only for Nevaeh but for all the other places they took over. Yet Gail never moved from her spot to join in.

â??You know Gail no matter how much you think about it you did all you could,â? Gail knew that voice. She had known it for a while now, looking over to her side to see a young man standing next to her. His name was Clayton and he was a few years older then Gail was. Short brown hair kept in a medium military fade, the color no longer matching his golden red eyes. They use to be brown. He stood a good six feet tall, a slender yet well build form. Not to big, not to little. All in all a rather handsome guy. But Gail was not bad looking herself.

Earthen hued bangs framed a gorgeous face that harbored eyes that were once hazel replaced by bright red orbs, a ring of gold just around her pupils. The human kept a slender body that held curves in all the right places, muscles there even it they could not be seen. An elegant hourglass figure topped with an ample, yet modest, bust. Her skin was lightly kissed by sun to give warm glow about her. Her voice rather quite as she spoke to her friend, â??I know, just canâ??t help but fell as if we could have done a little more.â?

â??More could have always been done, if we had the time to do it. We did the best we could with the time we had. All thatâ??s left is to make sure when we let this people out tomorrow we give them the best life we can.â? Claytonâ??s voice seemed to ring in Gailâ??s ears. It was strong, yet calm and relaxing. The kind of voice that seemed to melt your worries away unless he wanted you to worry. â??Did you talk to Zik about getting the TV and Radio stations up? I know he some kind of internet thing going on with in the Hotels and Mall but I think he had questions about what you wanted when it came to TV and Radio wise.â?
â??Funny what you can think off when you have the time humm?â? Gail could not help but smile as she talked. Eyes never moving from the empty levels of the mall, â??Yea I talked to him about it. Decided to work like basic cable and XM radios you know. Heâ??s already setting up his little shop where he will be running it from. What that guy can do with a few DVDs, CDs and a Computer.â?

What a company Gail seemed to keep with her, most of them where like her. A Sheik, humans but gifted with a rare blood type. When mixed with the virus their blood made a natural antivirus which enhances more then there immune system. Most develop a Extrasensory perception skill of some sort, other develop a skill weather it is with plants or electronicsâ?¦.a rear few called â??Dreamersâ? develop a rather dangerous skill. Something that still most keep to themselves. Gail was one of these â??Dreamers.â? Turning around slowly as she rested on the railing, she turned her view to look at the rest of her crew.

D and S, nick names given to them when they where still in the army. Both â??Guardiansâ? as far as their Sheik skills went. Abilities to sense the virus in others from miles around, a skill most useful this day and age. The blood in these brotherâ??s kept them fit and healthy. Both stood about six foot two, brown hair, golden red eyes like Clayton. While S sported a lean frame and an almost friendly face D was more hardened, with piercing eyes and a scar running over his left eye. It was funny when most found out that D was a few years younger then Sâ?¦.most thought the other way around.

Then there was Abby another female Sheik. Abby was blind so you could not see her eyes but with out her gift Gail and the others would have never known what was going to happen. Abby was a Clairvoyance, able to see things before they happened. The young goth girl sported long black hair and the pail body to match. Often quite unless something was about to happen.

Zik, Oh Zik. If Clayton was Gailâ??s right hand man Zik was her left. The Techno ran the resorts power grid and was working on making the resorts own TV and Radio stations so most could live a normal life. He also made sure that the resorts could communicate with each other. Building a internet like system that hooked up the computers in the resorts. With his blond mess hair and his dark red eyes that were once blue. The boy looked more like a street punk then a computer genus. While his female counter part Aleena also called a Techno was not a Sheik but a normal human. None the less she was no less valuable.

Aleena ran Nevaehâ??s security monitors, and was the one that hacked into the good doctorâ??s bank accounts and got them the money needed to fund there little rescue operation. Needless to say Gail had to trick the young hacker into doing this. Like Gail she was chosen by the "good" Doctor to partake in his experiments. She was an orphan girl and had no one that would miss her. Two things that allowed for Dr. Varick to do what he needed on her. At the chance for a new life and be needed ,Aleena Jumped at the chance, not knowing what was about t happen to her. The doctor experimented with her and practically brain washed her, turning her into a rather useful tool like the rest of the Sheiks. However, her loyalty was still to the Doctor, grateful for the "new life" he had given her. Poor girl was still waiting for him to return to Nevaeh, little did she know Dr. Varick was most likely being torn apart by the virus he created.

Yet Gail and the others would not tell her anything. Letting her believe that Dr. Varick changed his mind about the population on the "Resorts." Letting her believe that the Doctor wanted to save as many people as he could because he could not stop his deadly virus. Even though Gail knew differently, after all the rescue operation was her idea. She just left the Doctor out of the loop as she took over his safe havens.

And then there was the rest of the people in Nevaeh, all six thousand of them. Give or take a few. All locked away in their hotel rooms or as far as the group thought. Not to be let out until noon tomorrow, it would be then that their life would really begin. Laws had to be made and enforced, a system of money had to be made so that the population would not strip the mall and other stores dry. Jobs had to be given even if most the survivors had been hired to work in the resort and already had jobs with in this community. But still some did not. So much still needed to be worked on and so much needed to be done. Maybe that was why the dreamer was so deep in thought even if everyone else seemed not to worry.
_______

Lunch was quick as the sun glared down threw the skylight over the mallâ??s food court. It seemed that Clayton and finally talked Gail into taking a seat and getting a bit to eat. Hell it was rare to see the girl sit down, most believed that she had not slept sense before everything wend down. Eyes watched the ice in her drink start to melt and shift around. Red orbs only looking up once everyone moved from there tables and went on there way to try and finish there own projects. Even Clayton left Gail to her thoughts as she finished her drink before, like the rest, getting up and going along her way.

The mall was a rather large place one could most likely get lost in this place if they wanted to. Five-hundred-eight stores, not counting the other major stores, almost one-hundred restaurants and carts, standing at four levels high. The resort hotel was just as big. Just over nine-thousand, nine-hundred rooms equally spread out over 30 floors. Even if the ball rooms where not turned into barracks squid bays like most in the military once stayed it. They housed the singles that came with out family that where under the age of twenty-five, but still they where nice.

Gail made her way down the halls looking at one hotel room door after another, her movements with out sound. Her mind somewhere elseâ?¦somewhere before all this happened.

Aleena was hard at work watching Security monitors, her eyes seemed to not move an inch as the Monitors flew by. Her power let her work at a fast pace and by herself in one place at a time. That one girl could run the Security monitors of the entire Resort. Every so often a monitor would blink red and her voice would speak into an intercom stating simply the description, time, date and location of the Infraction.

Aleena often kept herself holed up in the monitor room, only comming out when Gail asked her to lunch or something, but always was she working, her mind always connected to the system.

Alice "Jinxy" Darkoff used to be a simple teen girl, working at a dinner down town to help pay for rent with her boyfriend. But, alas, that was so long ago. A happier time, an easier time, a.......normal time in a way. Now, sitting up in the third story of the hotel with a M21-Scoped in her hands, aiming at the wandering infected people in the streets outside of the walls, she sighed and pulled the trigger for the 67th time that day, blowing another infected's head to pieces. 'Lord accept the unfortunate up into your hallowed halls, amen." She said and kissed the silver cross that hung around her tanned neck. The cross had been a gift from her boyfriend, in that simpler time.......when he was alive. Choking back her emotions, she sat up, her white tanktop showing her lean and toned chest and arms. Ejecting the spent magazine from her trusted rifle, and snapping a fresh one into place.

She smiled as she recalled how she recieved the nickname "Jinxy." Two months ago while on a patrol outside of the walls, she had tripped on the body of an infected and bumbed into a car, setting off the alarm. Oh, how they ran for their lives toward the walls! After the patrol had reached back inside the walls, they slapped her on the back and laughed at her. She didn't blaim them, it was her fault.

Now, instead of patrols, she was told to stay up here and kill the wandering infected. She accepted the assingment and shrugged, what can you do? Lieing back down on the carpet she put down in her snipers nest, her denim shorts flashing bronzed legs, she lined up the next infected, a man in a blood splattered suit, and squeezed the trigger.....68th infected today......

It had been a week. A week of solitary confinement. His captors, whoever they were, said nothing. Food was shipped into his cage. A gilded cage to be sure. Deacon recognized the room simply enough as being part of the resort he had been working on. He could see every minor imperfection in the room, not due to any power granted to him, but because it was his hands that built it, and so many similar suites. He knew where the monitors were, even the hidden ones because he was the one who installed the wiring for them. Someone, something had taken him and taken over this place. Terrorists? Criminals? Crazy cultists? He had no idea who could have done this. All he was certain was, if they wanted to trap him here... then here was the last place he wanted to be.

Over the days he had worked with what he had at hand. Just his utility knife, cutting at the drywall and texture, cutting through a place he knew had no blocking between the studs, no wires, someplace out of sight of the cameras. There was no telling what they took over. He had been cutting a hole, finally reaching the other sheet rock panel. His blade dulled out days ago, he kept slicing at it, feeling weak from hunger. He had been unwilling to eat the food they brought, not trusting the unidentified captors. He had been passing out, his hands trembled as he cut away as quietly as he could at the wall. He had no idea who was in the suite next door, he didn't want to risk alarming them, finding something truly horrible waiting for him on the other side.

But he couldn't stay here. While the Almighty Ones plotted his destiny, he cut his way towards something else with a knife that would have had a tough time dealing with butter now. He was almost out, his exhaustion and hunger staved off at this point only by the knowledge with just a little more effort he might finally get some answers. Or even a way to escape.

Aleena's eyes were ever watching She saw the monitor blink red for Deacon's room and she contacted Gail.. "Room destruction By Cooper, Deacon in Hotel possible Psyciatric help needed, Requesting to send personel." all this time while she spoke with that lovely distant voice of hers her eyes still scanned and sent out Security to the minor things that happened.

How funny it must be to the people of this place. For there so called capture to know what they where up to even though they thought they planned things out so flawlessly. Gail's ears ringing when she heard Aleena call out over the intercom, letting her know what one of saviors was up to. Cooper, Deacon....that name seemed to ring a bell. Then again Gail did know the names of just about every family that was now living in this resort.

Maybe Cooper might even know Gail. After all, she over saw the building of this place. The doctor made sure of this, not that she wanted to. But in some ways it was a good thing. She knew almost every inch of this place, not so much as Cooper might have...even though Gail did not know this as she made her way to the man's room. The red light on his door turning green as Gail waited for Aleena to open it. Hell, come tomorrow morning all the door's would be unlocked and the cameras in each room turned off. This was so people could try and live a normal life with in these walls.

Opening the door slowly, making sure not to make a sound as Gail entered the room. Waiting to see what the man was up to before talking to him and fixing his mess.

There the man was in the bathroom, covered in white gypsum dust, flakes and small crumbles littering the tiled floor around him. He was slumped over, leaning into the wall, and in fact, through the wall. He had just busted through, the dry wall falling into the suite next door. He was grunting loudly as Gail entered, trying to pull himself through the hole. He was wiggling and kicking, his body just not having the strength after so many days of starvation. Any food brought to him was still left wherever they put it. The bed did not look slept in at all. He never heard Gail, never knew she was in the room as he peeked his head into the next suite, checking for whatever might have been lurking within there.

Having spent all of her ammo shooting down infected, Jinxy was sweating from the hot sun and was walking down the corridor toward the cafeteria. Humming to herself, she turned the corner and saw a girl enter a suite. Tilting my head in confussion, because I was told those doors were supposed to be locked at all times. Walking up to the door, she slid her knife out and knocked on the door, "Ummmm, miss? These doors aren't supposed to be opened at any time...*Walks into the room and immedidiately gets my wrist twisted hard, my knife dropping from my hand to the floor, yelping in pain. My arm then gets savagely retched around and I get slammed into the wall. "Stop! Ow! Ow! I give!" screams and looks back some, seeing a girl holding me against the wall.
My weapons were being dropped to the floor as she quickly disarmed me.

She saw the bathroom door open as soon as she walked in, but did not get a good chance to look before she heard someone behind her. Gail did not jump, but instead calmly turned around....fast her hand shot out to grab hold of the girl that had came up behind her. The Sheik quickly knowing the girl from the group of people that had rushed into the Resort only hours before the Sheiks locked down the gates. Hired on as extra guard to help make sure infected got in. But then again the girl most likely never saw Gail before, the leader liking to watch things from a far.

Really the only reason why she looked into this room was because she was in the area. Just roaming the halls, letting her mind wounder off into the past then zoom to the days to come and the work that would need to get done.

Now, red ords stared down at the girl she now had pinned against the wall. Her voice almost hissing as she warned this Jinx, "You ever come at me with a weapon again I'll make sure you end up worse then the damn stitches out side my walls to you understand me?"

Now for the task at hand, the Sheik's hand slowly letting go of the girl and letting her slide down from the wall as she turned to go looking for the man that was trying to get out of his room. Finding him in the bath room still wiggling to get into the next room.

Aleena would then contact Miss Darkoff via the communicator that all the guards had. "Miss Darkoff you will leave Leader Gail to her work, she is investigating something on my behalf. Is that crystal clear?" She should have known that only Aleena and the leader (Gail) could have had acess to the Doors right then.

He might have been tired, and Gail might have been stealthy. But even D. B. could hear the sounds of the scuffle as Gail subdued the new woman. He looked back over his shoulder, seeing the flashes of weapons, two people he did not recognize, and the fear was wide in his eyes. With a jolt he finished his scrambling with a quick lunge, taking a bang on his arms as he pulled himself through the wall. It'd bruise later, but for now he was through the small hole, little more than 14 inches across by 20 inches high. Strange women, weapons, his captors had come for him, and the thought filled him with fear. Soon as he hit the tiled bathroom of the next suite over he scrambled hands and feet, throwing himself at the doorway out, fumbling with the knob before he finally pulled it open.

"Understood." Answers both poeple and rubs my brusied wrist. *I didn't even know who the fuck it was.....* mutters under my breath and stands up shakily after my ordeal. Stoops down and picks up my weapons, sheathing and holstering them all and turns to leave the room. As I turn to go I glare at the so called "boss" and comits her face to memory. "I will remember you Gail.*
Walking out of the room, still rubbing my wrist, I head down to the corridor again, my thirst forgotten. "I hate these big shots, always so uptight.* Sighs and touches my cross again, twirling it in my fingers as I walk, lost in happier memories.

Aleena's face poped up with her not smiling at all. "Cooper, Deacon You have nothing to fear, We had to make sure certain things were not going to happen before everyone is released. If you would kindly return to your room and let the Lady speak with you, I would not have need to Activate certain security systems. and need I remind you I can." Aleena probably was not helping at all, but he might be able to see her from the Screen. and in all truth the room next door happened to be empty.

Natalie took a deep breath as she went over her plan in her head again, every detail set up to the last second. 'They'll pay...' she said to herself softly, 'they will all pay for betraying the Doctor!'

Jason strode out of his room slowly, cracking his neck, as he had just gotten out of bed, and stood in the door way in a pair of designer jeans he had taken before being moved here. Jason stood at 6'3, he wasn't fat, or skinny, but near perfectly toned, very lithe and lean.

I need some food, I'm starving. He thought to himself, taking a left, then a right, and towards the cafeteria. He opened the doors quickly with his psychokinesis, about ten seconds before he actually walked through it. "What to have, what to have..." He mumbled to himself, looking along a menu, before deciding to have a sausage sandwich with a coffee. He walked up to the counter, orders the food, the person looking oddly at Jason, only in his jeans, and hurries off to get the order, while Jason looks out among the Resort from the large glass window.

She gathered up the supplies she needed, minibombs, detcord, and many more deviously disguised explosives for her more violent and lustful side to use later on in her plans. Thanks to her sources around the Resort, Natalie had been able to compile almost every weak point in the Resort's Techno security system.

Opening the door to the cafeteria, I notice only a few people are up and about at this time. Good, I don't have to wait forever now, I think to myself and smiles at the thought. Walking over to the ordering place, I notice a white haired man looking at me, I wave shyly to him and turn to the chef. " A Dr. Pepper please." Orders and walks off to a table, slumping down in the chair gratefully. Winces some and rubs my wrist again. "I hope she didn't break it...and this is my knife hand too" grumbles and looks out the window into the park, enjoying the view.

Could not help but watch the girl leave the room, turning back to the job at hand as soon as she heard Aleena speak threw something. Right now she could not see what, walking into the bath room to see the rather small hole in the wall this man had made. Rolling her eyes some as she walked out the door…hell if she was going to crawl threw a little hole after him….and went to the door to the room next to his. Digging in her pocket some to pull out her I.D. and sliding it threw the electronic key lock to open it. Watching the little red light turn green. Red ords looking around the room to see if she could find this scared little man that was trying to hard to escape.

Gail walked into the room, pass the bath room door and closed it seeing he left it opened…hopefully Aleena was still trying to talk to this guy. If not she would try her best, even if she was not a skilled people person. “Look sir, just come out slowly and no one has to get hurt.”

He hadn't gone far. As soon as he bust out of the next suite's bathroom door the voice came on. And with it, the strength just left his body. He collapsed on the floor, crawling over towards the bed. He curled up, his back against the board. His heart sounded so loud to him, pounding heavily. His breathing was like a hurricane. He tried to hold still, tried for force himself to be quiet. But it just seemed to get worse as he lay there.

And then the woman came back in. A killer, armed. Gail, though he knew not her name. Something seemed Evil about her, but he couldn't place what. The very look of her stole his breath away and ended his tremblings.

"Just... do it already... do it... I can't take it anymore..." he whispered out from the foot of the bed at Gail. The surveillance, the imprisonment, the starvation, sleep deprivation. His eyes were heavily bloodshot, his body seemed unwilling to hold himself up off the floor. His hand reached out towards Gail's foot. "Please... I can't take it..."

Aleena merely tilted her head on the screen. "sir.. we are not Terrorists, far from it. In fact the reason you were locked in your room was so that we may finisht eh final preperations for everyone's release.. By sunrise you will all be free to wander about as you see fit. Anywhere in the vast resort.. But your psycological condition currently makes us worried.. I may suggest that you seek some professional help." She said looking at Gail.. "he is not the only one Gail.. plenty of the residents are getting anxious. I would suggest we open the doors now and let people explore."

After I finish my drink, getting up and tossing it away, I head back out of the cafeteria. Pulling out my knife again, I start to throw it up in the air and catch it, seeking entertainment from the exercise. " I should probely go to the supply depot and pick up more ammo, nothing else to do here besides shoot infected....* Sighs and keeps flipping my knife, turning the corner and going down the hall way were I had my encounter with that girl. Keeps looking straight ahead and tries not to think about the encounter.
