Robert layed out in the hammock, and soon fell asleep, but was awkened by large drops of rain in the middle of the night. Before he could get the hammock down, and into the wheel houe his shorts were completely soaked. He tried not to wake Madoka, but it was difficult to hang his hammock in the dark in silence. and then he had to find a towel, strip off his wet shorts, dry himself and put on his dry shorts, before climbing back in. If he woke her he didn't know it for she remained silent. Later that night the storm worsened and the seas became heavy. Robert got up, and took the helm turning her into the wind.
