"HEAR YE HEAR YE! THE AUCTION IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!"

Every year a grand auction went on as all the most presegious nobles of the world came to bid on which or the rare creatures they decided to buy. Now these creatures were not just pets or mindless tamed creatures. Not only did they bring status...but they were completly wild and exotic. Only nobles could own such creatures, and if any one of these 'creatures were to be found wandering without theit tags, woud be punished and sold off.

These creatures were known as the Koris. They were animals that could resemble humans enough to copy voice, emotions, and the actions of normal humans. But the defining difference was that they still held some of their animalistic features. A fine layer of hair covered their body and depending on their species and breed, they had really long hair. They had the ears and tale of their animal as well as their eyes. Most of all, the still held the instincts of an animal and almost always succumbed to their need to fight or run.

"AND FOR OUR LAST BUT NOT LEAST, LADIES AND GENTLE MEN, WE SEARCHED THE WORLD FOR THIS EXOTIC CREATURE AND TO THIS DAY, ONLY THIS VERY ONE HAS BEEN FOUND AND CAPTURED! WITHOUT FURTHER ADIUE....LADIES AND GENTLEMEN....ARCANA THE AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD!!!!"

Struggling with all her might in her dog form, three men pulled her on stage by a shock leash. Placing a tazer to her side they zapped her with an exceptionally high setting to force her to change from animal to her Kori form. A flash of light happend and on the floor of the stage was the most exotic creature anyone had ever seen in many years. She was slim, but curvacious and though a little dirty...very well groomed. No doubt by force.

They placed a collar on her neck and made her stand as the auctioneer started off the bidding. Almost every hand in the room went up as the price climbed higher and higher. Finally a man called out.

"Ill take her for 50 for the prince!"

Everyone suddenly quited as the well known right hand man to the prince walked forward. Only a man like him could carry that much cash on hand and not get robbed. Writing out a check for 50 million, ordered them to take her to the prince's chamber her and dress her in a sheer white robe with a cold chord to sinch her waist.

Next thing she knew she was being hauled off to her new guilded cage as she was cast into a room, forcefully dressed and chained with golden chains by her wrists and ankles to a pole in the middle of what seemed like a bed chamber.

~the prince's best friend finds the prince~

"Hey man!, come on I got a present for you today!"

Darian said as he led his friend toward the princes bed chambers to show him the boon that he collected for him.

When the two men entered the room she was sitting in a very tensed post behind the pole she was chained to and was as far away from the door as she possibly could and was fast asleep. One could tell by looking at the white rug that covered the floor around her was a bit scratched up all the way to the point that she could reach and then the scratches stopped. Her eyes were dialated as if she had been shocked by people one too many times and her wrists were rubbed raw from theshackles on her hands and around her ankles. The chain that she was connected to gave her only about a 4 feet of length.

Her chains jingled as she quickly stood up when the door slammed and woke her. Looking at the two men a warning growl rumbled low in her throat as she curled her lips slightly and showed he abnormally sharp canine teeth. The hair atop her head was so long that it pooled on the floor in a beautiful tirade of colors. Being a blue merl australian shepherd in all sense of the word she was beautifully colored, bred, and very high matienece and hyper. Though, since she had been found on the streets and very unsocialized she was very much coveted by nobles.

Being unnaturally subserivent and staring down at their feet she trembled as she waited for them to get closer.
"Do you see that?! magnificent isnt she?! I bought her at auction for 50 million today! Oh and your not getting a birthday present, ive already spent way over my quota for the next 5 years but I just had to get her for you. She seemed yo-"

A sudden animalistic smile crossed her face as she suddenly lunged at the man reached within he circle. Since she didnt see them caring the button that caused her pain at her neck, snapped at his neck but couldnt reach. So she changed her target to his arm and sank in to his bicep. Feeling a blow to her temple, she realesed him and hit the ground in a daze as she tried to refocus.
"THE BITCH BIT ME!"

Darian cried out as he held his arm and guards rushed in to see what went on. Blood dripped from her mouth as she tried to get some semblence or function. Her mind whirled into a deep migrane that set in. Hearing a bunch of voices, she very groggily scooted back trying to make them go away or stop. In the way that she was mostly human, she was still a dog. And hitting a dog in the head espcially close to their ears can give them great damage for days on end. Feeling a hand on her bicep, she cringed away and slashed her nails out at whom ever was touching her as she growled a timid yet waring growl low in her throat.

“A present. Oh, I’m overjoyed, Darian.” Alexander said, his voice more than a little sarcastic as he followed his friend. It was obvious after 5 steps that it was towards his bed chambers. The two men were best friends, yes, but it was a Vitrolic relationship, filled with blows both verbal and physical. But they always made up after it.

He was a bit surprised as he entered his room, seeing the half-animal half-human girl almost sleeping at the far corner of the room. “I must admit, but this is much better than the majority of the gifts you have given me. You should consider yourself done with gifts for the next 20 years, friend.” He walked forward, keeping an eye on her, and keeping distance as he heard the growl that warned him of danger as she stood. “You are a beautiful thing.” He lowered his head, a small sign of respect to her.

“You have outdone yourself, Darian.” He said again, just before the woman lunged forward, snapping at Darian’s neck, before biting into his arm. The smell of blood filled the room, but he didn’t seem to mind. He smiled himself, which quickly turned into a frown as Darien punched her in the head. His yelling made him frown more. “No shit, she bit you.” He said, before he backhanded the man heavy across the cheek, strong enough to send him reeling away a few steps.

He moved forward even as the guards came into the room. “I don’t care if you are the one who bought her for me. You damage someone that is under me, and I’ll make sure to do it two-fold in return. Understand?” He let the man go, going back to the guards and the changeling girl that was now still reeling, but growling and slashing at the guard who was nearest, touching her. He put a hand on the man’s shoulder, making him retreat. “Go get three steaks, and cook them medium. I expect them up here in 10 minutes.”

When the men left, including Darian, he moved closer to the girl, kneeling down. He was dressed in a dark, open cloak, black pants, and a half-sheer dark shirt. His hair was silver and shoulder length, and eyes of the deepest blue. “Now there, calm down. I’m not going to hurt you. You look hungry. Do you want some food?”

Her head reeled as she tried desperatly to regain her composure. Out of the corner of her eye she saw him move closer to her and she snapped her teeth togeather and growled. Falling to the side and moving away from him, one could not see the damage that had been inflicted on her in her recent past. Focusing her bright blue dog like eyes she looked at him and then down at the floor and reailzed that he was inside the circle. Realizing that he wasnt holding the button that made her shock collar go off, she ran at him, throwing every bit of her wait into the pounce. But her balance was off from the blow that his friend had just given her, she missed him, and got choked and zapped at the same time by the collar.

Sturggling against it, not even caring that he was in the room anymore, she kicked and growled at the chain and collar as well as jerking the shackles that covered her wrist. It was to the point that shock was starting to harm her. One could actually see the votage entering her body at her neck. The collar activated when ever pulled on and this was the first Kori that could actually withstand it for that long.

He didn’t seem bothered as she dived at him. In fact, he expected it. He did not expect for her to miss, diving to the edge of the length she had and getting shocked. That looked like it hurt. She struggled with the collar, leash, and shackles, and he stood, slowly moving to her, kneeling down next to her once more. Compassion was his most powerful weapon right now.

“Stop struggling.” He said in a calming voice, as his hand reached out, going to the shock collar. He took a moment, undoing the lock on it with ease before slowly removing it. “There, now isn’t that better?” He said, his voice low but soft as he tossed it far to the side, against the wall near the door. The leash went with it, but he left the shackles on her. They would at least stop the worst of her damage on him if she attacked again.

“Now, I ask again, you must be hungry, hmm?”

Collapsing to her side on the floor, she huffed in exaughstion after he had released the collar. Her eyes moved slowly to look at him, but when she reached his eyes she quickly averted them and in one jerky movment, she scooted back away from him. His dominence and show of supiriority.

She heard his words but she didnt really understand them. Going to the otherside of the pole where she was furthest from him she growled out the only words that she seemed to know.

"Stupid bitch....whore doggh-"

Her words were slurred very miss pronounced, but there wasnt much that she knew about being human. She aways ran from humans because they shot at her or tried to capture her. And everytime, without fail, she was beaten constantly...or worse.

Her pain was so eminent in her words, and yet, there was a sense of warning and the instinctive need for survival and freedom that made her very volitle and vicious. Rubbing her neck, her voice was understandably rasped from the shock of the collar. But what the owners of Korisdidnt understand, is that they can kill or make their Kori very sick by keeping the min humn form all the time, they need periods of time in which they could recover before turning into a human like creature again.

She backed away from him, pushing herself against the wall as she rubbed her throat. Her words made him frown. It was obvious that she wasn’t calling him that, so that must be what she thought he was saying. “No, that is not what I said. You can’t understand a single thing I say, can you?” His voice was soft, noting how she had averted her eyes from him.

With a sigh, he stood, walking over to her, picking her up in strong arms and ignoring her protests and attacks, sitting on the bed with her in his lap. With a now-free hand, he moved it up, scratching her behind her dog ears to calm her down. “Calm down, girl. You haven’t given me a reason to hit you yet.”

There was a knock at the door then. “Come in.” He said, eyes not leaving her face, and hand not leaving her ear. The guard from earlier came in with a large plate, three steaks cooked to order on them. The smell quickly filled the room as the man walked forward. He lifted his head then. “Good.” He was careful with his other hand, sliding it out from behind her and taking the plate, putting it on her lap since she was on his.

He took his hand from her ear after his other arm went to hold her once more, picking up a steak and taking a bite from it, just using his hands. He gestured to the other two steaks. “Yours.” He said. But he figured that she wouldn’t understand. So he shifted to get use of both hands again. “Mine.” He said, pointing at the steak he had bit. “Eat.” He took a bite. He put it down, grabbing a whole steak and pointing at it. “Yours.” Then he moved it to her mouth. “Eat.”

Shrinking back from him when he came closer and picked her up, she most literally dug her nails into his skin to hold onto him. She hated heights and being picked up. Feeling him sink down onto something, she almost purred at the feel of his hand behind her ear. Letting her head relax against his chest, and her nails retract, she nearly jumped out over skin when the knock sounded and the bus boy walked in. Growling low in her throat at him restrained herself from lashing out, the last thing she wanted...was to be punished anymore then she needed to be.

Salivating at the smell of fresh, non rotten or practically eaten, food she watch him pick up a steak with his hands just like she would have done, and eat. Listening to his words, she looked down at the food and then back up at him, a sort of joy entered her face as she started to eat as a dog would, but she soon realized that humans couldnt eat like dogs could. Slowing down, she watched as he ate as well. Seeing the way he did so carefully, as where she got it all over her face.

"sorry..."

That was another word that was beaten into her constantly untill she knew how to say it perfectly. She knew the word meant repenment and a plead for forgivness. She didnt mean to make a mess.

He watched her with a small smile on his face as she started eating much faster than he was, but soon slowed down to eat like he was. A soft laugh escaped his lips as she said she was sorry, pulling out a small white cloth from his pocket, lightly brushing the mess from her face before putting it lightly on the bed. She might have been almost feral, growling and purring at a whim. But that look of joy she had taken made his heart leap.

He pointed to the other steak as he was halfway done with his own. “Yours.” He said again. This was going to take a while to train her to speak fully. But he could feel at least that would be worth it. As he finished his steak, he wiped his hand off and went back to scratching her ear lightly, fingers going through her very long hair, enjoying the softness and color of it. “They’ve hurt you a lot in the past, haven’t they?” He said softly, his hands going to the shackles on her and removing them. “Poor girl. You need the right master.” Of course he was the right one, he could do whatever he wanted as her owner. But that could come later. After getting her trust and her wish to do stuff like that.

“Good?” He asked, as she ate, going back to pet her for a moment, before looking at her. “You good.” He smiled to signify good. “They bad.” He pointed to the door, then had a heavy frown on his face. His words slow and enunciated with what he did to explain to her. “I no hurt you.” He pointed to himself, before shaking his head and frowning, then brought his fist down in a striking motion, then pointed to her. His fingers gently went over her cheek.

“You need to turn back to dog?” He asked, this time not doing any motions to explain it.

Acting as if she hadn't noticed as he took the shackles off her wrists, she continued to eat. Listening to his words and soaking it in. She didnt try to speak them just yet, she didnt like to have humans see her fail or mess up. A sign of weakness meant her ultimate doom.

Finishing the food she suddenly became tense, like her demeanor completly changed. realising her extra piece of freedom she jumped off his lap and ran for the door. But she didnt make it far. She collapsed on the ground from weakness and discoordination. Trying to scramble up again, her newly long limbs and awkward body type made it difficult to move let alone escape.

Escape was always on her mind. She just wanted freedom. She was so afraid of humans and their ability to hate and hurt that she couldnt wait to get out from under them. And no matter how much a feral dog will eat from the palm of your hand...it will always be bitten...

He couldn’t say that he was surprised that she tried to escape after he had removed her minds and she had finished eating. But she stumbled before getting to the door. He stood and moved to the door with easy, long strides, locking it with ease before turning to her, moving to her and kneeling down, running his fingers behind her ear.

“You don’t get it, do you.” He muttered in a low voice. “They will hurt you out there. You are safe with me.” He then remembered that she didn’t understand him, and he sighed. “Alright.” He opened the door, holding her so she didn’t run, showing that there were 4 men outside. “Them, hurt.” He pointed at them as he held her by her side, then moved with his hand as a punch, stopping an inch from her face before closing the door. “I, help.” He pointed to himself, then started to scratch her behind the ears once more.

Slapping his hand away from her she pushed him down by his chest and growled down at him. She could barely see past the fact that he was human to see that all humans were different. Her pain and need for freedom in her eyes was the only expressions she could wear, she couldnt lie about her feelings like humans did.

"HURT" She growled out at him as she pushed his chest again and then placed an open palm on her hand. She was trying to say that he was a liar. That he would hurt her.

Backing up she pounded her own chest and then went to the door and scratched on it. She didnt really care if they hurt her. Being beaten down was something that happend on a regular basis for her. She just wanted freedom. She couldnt see that she could be slightly free with him, she didnt even know exactly what it was that he wanted from her.

She had pushed him down and growled at him. Another man would have thought he was either dead or it was forcible mating. He didn’t see either, and he didn’t show any fear as she looked down at him. He doubted she would actually try to hurt him right now.

Her single word had a lot of weight, pushing him then putting her hand on her chest. He shook his head ‘no’ vigorously. “No. HURT.” He did what she did, pushing her by the chest lightly, and then putting his hand on his chest. Trying to say that it was her hurting him at the moment, for being so stubborn, pushing him away. But she scratched at the door, wanting out.

He wasn’t going to let her out. “No. You don’t know how to listen. To respect. To cherish and see what you are doing to your own life to get to choose what you do.” His voice held the push of pain as he got up, going to the bed and curling up on it. It was a feint, a good one at that. He didn’t expect her to come over to him, but it would be useful. She just had to see him ‘unhappy.’

Watching him get up, she eyed him with curiosity. Watching his emotions change to dissapointment. Watching him lay on the bed with his back to her she crawled low to the floor around to him so that he could see her. She had her ears folded down and her shoulders were low to the ground in a sort of fear/ momentary submission. Her eyes looked up at him as she pawed the blanket to get his attention. In a scared and sort of quivering voice she said.

"...hurt...."

As she said the word she motioned toward the door to try and explain that they hurt her. That humans hurt her. And that she was scared of all of them. When ever he did move she flinched from him as if she was expecting a blow.

His eyes were on the opposite wall, but he heard her soft padding towards him, to the bedside. His eyes only moved to her as she pawed at the blanket, lowering to see the sadness in her eyes, his own holding the sad look of disappointment. He didn’t need to glance to where she motioned to, knowing that it was to the door, where the guards stood on guard. He didn’t even frown, his hand rising quickly from his side. As she flinched, he froze, then moved it slowly.

“Come.”

He said the words calmly, patting the bed right in front of her, wanting her to jump up and get near him. To hold and cuddle, to give her warmth and show her he wouldn’t hurt her. At least, not now.

Shying back from him, her ears folded down as she just looked at him from the floor. A whimper escaped her lips as for some reason she could not jump up. grabbing the blanket he was laying on, she pulled it onto the floor. Suddenly moving backward when she accidentally pulled him onto the floor, she lowered her head almost all the way to the ground to where her chin was touching the blanket.

Reaching up slowly, she padded him with a soft hand as a sort of 'im sorry' as she tried to see if he was injured or not. Her whole demeanor showed that of an animal used to submission and being beaten but yet, she held her self with dominence and confidence that most animals at this point do not have. She still had the air of danger and predatory need for freedom and survival.

Her whimper made his eyebrow raise as he wondered why she shied away. But then she started pulling the blanket, and he wondered if it was to get something warm to sleep under… until she pulled him off the bed as well, with a somewhat loud thunk on the floor. He couldn’t help a chuck even as his arm went somewhat sore, laying in the tangle of blankets in front of her.

She came over, gently placing her hand on his arm, and he reached out slowly, holding her at the hips and pulling her down to him, laying her out next to him and holding her in strong, warm arms. “It’s ok.” He whispered softly, in a reassuring voice. “The bed was getting lumpy anyway..” His fingers slowly went through her hair, trying to calm and reassure her about him, that she was ok as well.

Laying with him, she was tense, stiff, unsure of whether she should relax or trust him at her back. But...she was tired. Tired of fighting, tired of scrounging, tired of begging for every morsel of life. Survival wasn't th only thing she wanted...she wanted to once again, sleep at the feet of someone with whom loved her, and cared about her well being above all else.

Fighting it slighty, she couldnt help that her eyes felt heavy as she started to relax her body glowed a bright white, and then shifted back into an australian shepherd. If Kori's did shift back for at least an hour a day they can be come extreamly ill. She had been forced to stay in her Kori form for over a week and she couldnt fight it any longer. She need warmth and sleep.

It was a short bit before she finally started to loosen up and calm down. It was the bright light that made him avert his eyes for a moment, and when he looked back, there was an Australian shepherd laying in front of him. He couldn’t help but smile. “I knew it. You’re pretty in this form, too.” He said, his hand sliding up her back to scratch her behind the ears, before his arms wrapped around her and pulled her closer. He grabbed the blanket, wrapping it around the two of them, before he let his own eyes close to sleep. She could snuggle against him directly tonight.

He woke up several hours later, stretching slightly before looking at the sleeping dog in front of him. He smiled for a moment, his hand going to her belly, rubbing it slowly for a moment before a little faster, and a little faster. “Time to wake up, girl.” He said softly, smiling as he moved his hand to scratch her ears once more.

Slowly waking, she streached and then started to open her eyes. When she didnt remember where she was she suddenly jumped up onto her feet and stood a good couple of feet from him. It was apparent that now in full animal form she reverted to full on animal instinct instead of animal and human mixed. And it didnt matter which form they were in, they remember everything.

Digginer her nails into the carpet, she held a very tense, unsure, pose as she realized what was around her and that she had not left the room he had put her in. Running up to the door she scratched at it over and over again untill deep scratches were in the expensive wood. Looking back at him, she had her two front paws on the door when she changed into her kori form. Unfortunaly with Kori's...when they changed back and forth, they dont keep their clothes. Even so...she was unabashed by her nudity because she had never needed or wanted for them before.

He smiled as she slowly woke up, stretching her body as his hand slowly scratched her behind the ears. But it wasn’t long before she jumped up, looking at him from a few feet away. He frowned slightly. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked in a soft voice.

She had left her dress behind on the floor as she shifted the night before, and he watched as she went to the door, scratching at it, before shifting and turning to face him. Her long hair kept her covered decently well, but he knew that he would need to trim her hair. It was just too long, touching and dragging on the floor even when she stood up fully. “Do you need some fresh air? Or are you just trying to escape?” He shifted his body, sitting up and sitting with legs crossed. “Come here and ask me properly.”

Walking back over to him on very wobbly legs, her front was barely covered. Standing infront of him she looked back at the door and then to him and whined at him. She didnt know how to say it so she decided to just say a word of submission.

"Sorry..."

Looking at him and then at her self, she quickly dropped to the floor and pulled the dress to her. She didnt know how to put it on, but she didnt want to seem like an animal to him. She wanted to some what respectable.

He didn’t understand why she was apologizing to him. But she was, and he supposed he had to figure out why himself. She pulled her dress to him, and he moved to stand, helping her to her feet, and then helping her dress. It was obvious to him that she was not use to dressing herself.

“Do not be sorry.” He said, his voice soft as he got the dress on her fully. “Do you need to go to the garden to use the bathroom? If you are good, I will let you out to use it. If you behave, you have good life. And you make master happy. When Master is happy, Master will treat you well.”

Walking back to the door, she jingled the handle with her hand wanting out. She seemed compliant enough and she really just wanted to get out of the room. When he had asked about needing the bathroom, she pointed to the bathroom in this room indicating that she indeed knew how to use one.

But she just wanted to streach her legs, to get out and breathe fresh air. Her ears folded down as she knew he probably wouldnt trust her enough to let her out.

She seemed compliant enough, and she wasn’t so snappy and rushing like she was the night before. So after he got her dressed, he put his fingers through her hair. “If you are good, I will let you out without a leash, ok? And your hair, is it too long for your?” His hand went down the full length that easily touched the ground for her.

He didn’t give her too much time to answer, already knowing she would either obey or deal with some sort of punishment. He opened the door, putting a hand on her shoulder to lead her down the maze-like hallways. If she ran off, she was most likely going to get lost than anything else. It was a short path though before they reached the indoor garden, large tufts of flowers growing in areas, with a large oak tree in the center, the air feeling crisp here.

Looking around at the large guilded cage she was forced to live in. How did people live in a place like this? It was like the large house was without feeling...like it was cold. Stepping into the garden she frowned at perfectness of it all. There was nothing warm or welcoming about the place it all. And it made her sad...missing the freedom of the woods.

Sick and tired of not being able to speak to him, she did the one thing she almost never did. She turned quickly, grabbed his face, and kissed him. Pulling away she spat and wiped her mouth as if she found the taste foul. What most people didnt know about Kori's, was that if they kissed a human, they could speak to them and only them. But if she were to learn to speak, she could speak to everyone.

"This place disgusts me."

She said plain as day. It was as if she was speaking her entire life. But in all sense...he was understanding what she was saying rather then her speaking english.
