Wounded Love

Draykon was nervious about meeting new people, especially humans, let alone inlaws. He just never knew what to say in these situations, but he was genuinely happy that Lily was glad they were there. Then he spotted a bent over figure behind everyone covered in cloaks.

"Ahhh, Abraham, so good to see you, do you have some of the items?"

The old man turned to him and simply pulled out a series of boxes and handed them to Draykon, and walked off. Suddenly Crystal and Grim appeared out of nowhere. Crystal was a tall elfen maiden, well over 6 feet, with silvery white hair, piercing blue eyes and a slightly curvy figure. Where as Grim was 4 feet tall, a large black beared covered his face, and he was a bit round in the middle. Together they carried an assortment of swords, hammers, a couple traveling packs, and a holter with a semi automatic pistol. Luckily Lilys family was distracted, before they could really get to notice the strange couple he took them down a side hallway. When he returned, he had found some rooms for them and returned to the festivities.

"Hello everyone, I am so glad you could all come here on such short notice, I am so sorry for causing you all to worry about Lily, but she was in troble and at the time there was no time to take her to a hospital. Please forgive me and I hope we can all get along great, the only thing I ask is that I will be having some guests over and they don't like to be disturbed." He said in as happy a voice as he could muster.
"I bet you are all very tired and hungry, and I will be glad to show you around my most humble abode. There is also one other thing, some rooms are strictly off limits and are well marked, please don't enter them." He waited with his arms outstretched and hoped that he was making a good impression.

Then to Lily he whispered "You probably shouldn't tell them about what I am, and what I do. You never know how some people will react when you tell them that myths aren't really myths, monsters exist, and that everything they thought they knew, is actually wrong. We will tell them, but when we bothe think that they are ready, all right?"
 
"It was nothin'!" Sky said with a grin. He was clinging to his sister's leg with a huge grin. He mad missed his sister, and was very very happy to be with her again. He looked at at Draykon and said happily "I wanted to come!"

Lily smiled at her little brother and got him off her leg. She loved Sky, but he was a little clingy. She watched as her mother and brother listened and agreed, she was glad they weren't going to be much trouble.

Lily nodded. "You have a point there." She whispered. She kissed his cheek softly and grinned at him. She wondered how they would take the news about him? Her brother would be excited, but her mom? She didn't know. "It'll be a good idea to wait."
 
Draykon took them down the hall and started showing them his home, he started with the library, a massive circular room with wall to wall books that went all the way to the cieling, the only other things in it were a few desks, a computer and a few soft chairs. "This as you can see is the Library, it also functions as a study, and has most books you could ever want or need to read. This room is open to everyone, but do be carefull when climbing the ladder."

Next he showed them the entertainment room. "This room I think Sky will truly enjoy the most, it has a pool table, a home theatre system, a soda and popcorn machine, as well as a host of arcade games. All of which are open to everyone."

As they went along he showed them the indore pool room, the workout area, garden, lounge, their various rooms, which were similar to Lily's with the exception that the desk, and closet weren't magical and were empty. Along the way they passed several rooms that were clearly marked in a variety of languages as being off limits, and a hallway that at the entrance was marked likewise.

At the end of the tour he brought them to the kitchen where Crystal and Grim were making something to eat, but this time they looked like normal people, even their heights were adjusted to look like normal people. The only other change was that they looked similar to Draykon to be his relatives. "Ahh yes, these are some other guests, my.....Cousins, they and a few other relatives will be staying with us for a while. I hope you all will get along nicely." The last part was directed more at Crystal than anyone else.

"Now what does everybody want to eat?" As he went off to start cooking everyone something to eat Crystal approached Lily and took her off to the side and in a sing song voice said "Sorry everyone I just need to ask Lily something private." When they were alone she turned to Lily and her features became hard and she slammed her against the wall hard, using unateral strength she pinned her there. "So your the bitch who Drakon is calling all the favors for, I wonder why." Then she took one hand and slammed it into her stomach, sending a tendril of magic into her. Unlike Draykon who used his magic carefully and to provide a little pleasure Crystal used it like a hammer and a stinging sensation filled Lily.

"That explains a few things, your pregnant. I wonder what he would do if you suddenly weren't." Then she pulled he hand back and her pointer finger became dark and black. " In case your wondering, this is an assasin spell, let's see how you handle it." The she started to lower her hand back to her stomach.
 
Lily stayed close to Draykon's side during the tour. She hadn't seen most of his house yet so she did her best to pay attention.  As much as she was enjoying her family, she couldn't wait to have more alone time  with him.

And Draykon's guess about Sky's favorite room was correct. His face lit up as soon as they walked into it. "Whoa!" He all but shouted. After he ate, he'd probably run to this room as fast as his little legs could take him.

When they into the kitchen Lily smiled. Her family seemed happy so that was all that mattered to her now. She looked over at his "cousins.". She was glad to know the truth about who they really were. They both looked kind, so she didn't think about it much when she was pulled aside.

She gasped when the magic slammed into her. The way that magic was used was so differnt than Draykon. She did not like it at all, and she worried about her child.

Lily's eyes widened at her words. Draykon and her had tried for this child for awhile. She remembered how happy they had been when they were sure she was pregnant. She quickly crossed her one of her arms over her stomach.She had over other arm going for weapon. She didn't want to use it, but if it came down to the life of her child she would use it without question. She only hoped it wasn't too obvious.
 
Crystal noticed her movements and grabed the dagger, "Ohhh, haven't seen the dager of sin in a while. Draykon must really like you, but you should know, Elves aren't really affected by this little trinket, it'll hurt like hell if you stab me, but other than that." Then she tossed the dagger aside and as she was about to touch her stomach a symbol appeared over it.
"The house of the dragon is threatened!" A deep rumbling voice appeared and suddenly a stone golem appeared and grabed Crystal's arm. It tossed her into the opposite wall like a rag doll. When she got up and tried to retaliate it mearly slammed its whole arm against her sending her flying. It promptly interposed itself between Lily and Crystal. As she got up and attempted to attack again, Grim appeared with a battle hammer in his hand and slammed it into her stomach.

"What do you think you're doing Crystal! Have you gone mad, Draykon asked for our help, and you attack his wife!" Turning to Lily he quickly checks her over "Are you all right?"

"What are you saying Grim? She has seduced him, she carries his child for his loyalty! Can't even you see that, she has destroyed him!" Crystal yelled, practically sobbing now.

"The time of the elves is over! Listen to yourself, you yourself destroyed your chances with him with the fall of Rome."

Suddenly Draykon appeared two katanas in his hands, rage in his steps, and a hunger for blood in his eyes. "Crystal! What do you think you are doing!?" Draykon yelled, as he grabed her hair roughly. At this point she had completely broken down, he tossed her aside and went to pick up Lily, "We will discuss this later Crystal" He said in a dark voice, then he left to take Lily back to her room.
 
Lily cussed under her breath when the Jagger was ripped from her hands. She wrapped her other arm around her stomach and hopped for the best. She closed her eyes tight and braced herself the best she could...but then she heard the deep voice. She let out a shakey sigh of relif, if it wasn't for the fact she was leaning against the wall she wouldn't be standing at all.

"I'm alright." She said, slowly regaing the power in her legs. She wouldn't need the wall soon but se did now. Lily flinched at the sound of Crystal's voice and at her words. Even though she knew it wasn't true, it still hurt her to some extent. She had the strengh to stand without the wall, but she didn't want to.

Rome? What had happened in Rome? She had known that Draykon had lived quite a long time before they met, before she was born even but she had never thought much of it. But if it had to do with Crystal, Lily didn't want to know.

When Lily saw Draykon she flinched. She had never seen him so angry looking. If that anger had been directed at her she'd be terrified. Even just looking at him angry scared her. He seemed absolutely furious, and she was glad not to be on the receiving end. She didn't know what woul happen to Crystal later, but she didn't want to be around to see. When Draykon walked over to her she tried her best to hide the shaking that she was unable to stop. She felt safe with him, but the horror that had almost just happened still got to her.
 
When Draykon was at her toom he left Lily there to rest and relax, leaving a spell of serenity to comfort her. When he left he didn't look back, he had work to do, and the one thing he didn't want her to see was how close he was to simply losing it. He went straight to Crystal and Grim's room, generating a spell to send everyone else to their rooms. When he slammed on the door Grim opened it, he took one look at him and turned to Crystal with pity in his eyes, but he wasn't going to intervene.

She was standing at the end of her bed and he took up place in front of her, but at the opposite end of the room so he wouldn't kill her. "What did you think you were doing Crystal" he said darkly. "The only reason you are even standing is because of our past comraderie. If any other person had done what you did, I would have killed them on the spot, and I would have if Lily wasn't there. This is what is going to happen, I am going to punish you and then you will work for Lily, she will now become your master, and you will train her in combat. This will be a start and will only end when Lily says you are free." With that he drew several symbols of binding in the air, one white and one blue, the white went to Crystal, and the blue went to Lily. "Now your futures are tied, as long as she lives, you will live, and if she should die, you will die. Her word is now your law, so sais the king of the dragons." With that he left, and returned to Lilie's room. Where he laid next to her and only then was he able to relax.

"I am so sorry Lily, I thought I could at least trust Crystal, but as punishment you are now her master, and only you can release her, this is her punishment and only untill you believe that she has made amends will she be free. She will teach you how to fight, tomorrow your training will start. Tonight sleep, relax, and take comfort in the knowledge that you are safe here, this house recognizes you as a master of it, and it will relinquish itself to your needs. It will simply not let you die." He said softly before heading to the door to give her the space to calm down, and to think over what he said.
 
Lily layed down on her bed and closed her eye tightly. For now, she was safe. And even more imporant so was her child. She placed one of her hands on her stomach and smiled. It wouldn't be long before that baby bump would begin to grow and honestly she couldn't wait.

She tried not to think of what Draykon was doing right now. He had looked so angry back there, she didn't want to see what happens when you piss him of. She was glad the whole situation was over but by the way he left the room, it seemed that punishment would be needed.

When he came to lay down next to her she smiled. She reached over and touched his face lightly, it was good to see he wasn't angry anymore. She wasn't so sure about learning how to fight, from her but she would have to trust Draykon. "Ok." She said "Thank you.."
 
Early the next morning Lily awoke to Crystal at the end of her bed, she stood there for a few moments, and went to her closet, thought for a moment and opened the door revealing a set of leather armor and clothes. "Here put these on, their light, and loose around the joints, they will be your sparring clothes when you are ready come with me and bring sin."

She waited outside the door and when Lily appeared she brought her to one of the rooms clearly marked as off limits. "This is the sparring and training room, inside lays a spell that freezes your body at the moment you enter, if I were to stab you or you likewise to me there would be no physical mark on your body, but you will feel pain." She then pulled out a scroll from under her leather armor and said "This scroll allows people in this room and under this spacific spell to while in there be able to grow muscle mass. For people like Draykon who is fairly close to the peak of his physical prowess this is unneeded, to you however it will be crucial." With that they entered the room and Lily saw it was a massive space, larger than any other room in the bunker/mansion, on the far walls were a massive assortment of weapons from every age of man. Most walls had dummies and targets, one was clear with an assortment of burn scarring, and long deep slashes.

When they were in the middle of the room Crystal pulled out a second scroll and spoke a few words that Lily couldn't understand, and all of the dummies came to life, each with a different weapon. "Pull our your dagger Lily, and take a look at it, the dagger is a small close range weapon that can be easily handled by even a novice. The cons to such a weapon is that it's nearly impossible to block a longer weapon with just that, its limited range makes it so that you enter an apponents weapons range first. The pros is that it's easy to maneuver, dodge, run, evade, and hit the joints, and weakponts of plate mail armor. That's the only ways to win here, is to evade the dummies attacks, and strike at their weakpoints. Since you're a novice they will be slower than the average enemy, and not very creative in their attacks. Now sink or swim Lily." Crystal suddenly pulled back from the center and yelled begin and eight dummies came at Lily.
 
Lily shoot up from bed when she saw Crystal. Her heart beat quickened, then slowly came back down to normal. She was supposed to be here, Lily had almost forgotten that she was to be trained by her. She quickly changed into what Crystal had picked out for her, and grabbed sin and walked outside her room.

She let out a sigh of relif when she was told that her actually body wouldn't get hurt, she wouldn't want anything that could hurt the baby. She was ok with pain, at least she hopped she was. She would have to push herself in training. She needed to be able to protect herself when she wasn't with Draykon.

When she saw the dummies running at her she took a deep breath and readyed herself to dodge. She needed to figure out the weak point before she could attack them.
 
At first the dummies were slow and cumbersome and when they attacked it took them a few seconds to recover, and as a result Lily was able to leisurely dodge and avoid their attacks. When one with a mace came at her and she dodged behind it she saw a small red patch at the back of the neck. When she lunged and stabed it with Sin it colapsed. "Good, you're not a complete incompetent after all, now things get interesting. Nothing teaches better after all than learning on the job in my opinion." Said Crystal.

Suddenly all of the dummies pulled back even the one she "killed" and they began to glow a green color. Lily in contrast began glowing gold, and when they attacked again all of the combersome movements, were gone and they were much faster. This time when Lily tried to dodge there was a second or even a third dummie right there ready to attack. In a sudden barage of attacks being dealt by 5 of the 8 dummies she lost track of one, suddenly confused she stoped and felt a searing pain in her shoulder and finally she felt like she was stabed through the chest. "Don't stand still in combat, if you lose track of an apponent move to a point where they can't get behind you and you can see them, or evade untill you have all enemies accounted for!" Yelled Crystal, and the training continued much like that for the next several hours, usually Crystal would remain silent, or if Lily made a massive mistake she would call out advice.

After nearly 4 hours of training straight Crystal finally called out a break. "You will die at this rate in the first battle, Draykon won't be able to count on you, you'll get him, your child, and yourself killed. Honestly I don't understand what he sees in somone as worthless as you." Said Lily as she brought a light lunch and bottled water to Lily.
 
At the beginning of trainin Lily thought it was going well. The dummies weren't too hard an she eventually stabbed one! But once she did they all began to glow green and things became much harder.

She pushed herself to do the best she could. She listened to the advice that was called out to
her but she had gotten sidetracked with the larger amount of dummies only to be stabbed by a sneaky one. She bit down on her tongue to keep from yelling out, things like that were bound to happen in training.

When it was time for a break Lily let out a sigh of releif. All of this was tiring, she couldn't wait until it would be over to she could rest on her bed, or maybe spend some time with Draykom,or even both.

She took the light lunch and ate it in silence. And although she didn't like what Crystal said, it was true. In the state she was in now, she was worthless in battle. She'd only cause trouble for Draykon.
 
As Lily ate Crystal started going through some of the weapons, from the most common, to the most exotic showing a high proficientcy in all of them. When she was done eating Crystal came over and was about to order her to get back to training when all of a sudden a look of fear and reverance entered her face, and she stood stock still. After a few moments she returned to her normal look of hate and disgust. "Draykon wants to see you in the library." Then she headed out, when thy got to the library Draykon sat at a desk with a stack of books at one end and one book in his hand. When he finished reading the page he was on the book jumped out of his hand flew up onto one of the shelves. Then a book from the stack flew up opened to a random page and entered his hands and he started to read once again.

As they entered he looked up "hello Lily, I hope your training is progressing well." He said purposefully ignoring Crystal, not even bothering to look at her. "The library is enchanted, when somone enters it who doesn't know about magic it behaves like a normal library, but when alone or with people who do know about magic it acts like this. The library has a special ability to provide the reader with what they need to read at the moment of entering, however you can pick your own subjects by concentrating, but I like to let it choose for me. It keeps things interesting, and sometimes it gives you a little bit of insight. This like the training room will probably end up being one of the most important rooms here. If you ever need it for a question, or to find some peace it's open to you." As he said this two books flew from the highest shelves and hovered next to Crystal, Lily noticed that one was a book of curses, and the other surprising enough was a how to book on how to attract an uninterested man.

Draykon however noticed this and after a moment the books flew from Crystal and his face changed into something darker "the same can't be said for you." Turning back to Lily "So do you have any particular interests, or questions you would like to explore?"
 
She grinned widely when she heard she was going to see Draykon, even if it was said in such a sour tone. She was tired from her training but even the thought of seeing him boosted her energy. On their walked there Lily walked a little bit quicker than normal. She had a basic idea of where the library was, but not exactly.

"Ummm... I really don't know what to read about." She said, and it was true. There were so many things she didn't know and one of them was where to began. Maybe she should learn about carrying an immortal's child or learn about the diifernt kinds of magic. She really had no clue. "Any suggestions...?"
 
When she asked the question Draykon smiled "That's the point of this room, it shows you what you need at the moment you need it." With that Books started flying off the shelves and landing in a neat pile next to Lily. At the top were books on magic, fighting techniques, pregnancy with immortals, and the religious aspects of elves. Farther down the pile were histories, and amassed knowledge of creatures ranging from demons to angels and their various weaknesses.

"My, my, you really do have a lot to learn according to the library. Based on your current situation I would sudjest fighting techniques or the one on pregnancy with an immortal. Those would be the most immediate ones you should probably concern yourself with, although you could skip them and head to the one on magic. That one though is a bit technical, and dry and deals primarily with the nature of magic, and not the actual spells. It will be crucial should you decide to learn magic. With Crystal bound to you, I don't think you need to worry about the one on Elvin religin either."
 
"Hmm... pregnancy with immortalsl would probaly be best."She said picking up that book. The more she knew about what would be happening to her the better. She didn't know if her pregnancy would go along like a basic human pregnancy or if the fact it had Draykon's blood would give it a little twist. But after reading the book she would know, right?

She sat down, close to Draykon and looked at the cover of the book. It was a navy blue with a golden design. She didn't know if that design meant anything but she decided not to ask. She opened it up and began to read the opening, most of which was talking about how she got pregnant, not that she didn't already know that.
 
So, you got yourself pregnant and don't know what to expect, well honney, you're not alone. Many people over the centuries have gotten pregnant and many will get pregnant. What many women don't know and want to know is what will happen and the answer is depends. Depends on who you slept, with and even when, was it on a new moon, a full moon, a lunar or solar eclipse, or any regular day of the year, excluding holidays. Yes all this affects how your child will be born, and the most important thing to know is what got you pregnant. Yes vampires can get people pregnant contrary to popular belief, the real problem is that the child is born stillborn, if you want the child to live you will need to consult your local necromancer. Other than that the infant will undergoe similar mile markers and have a standard 9 month gestational period.

These creatures are simple ones that have little affect on what to expect when pregnant, the real changes are when you sleep and get knocked up by something with magic in its blood. Such creatures are demons, angels, and dragons. Trust me, if you were knocked up by a demon you wouldn't be alive if you were human, so you should know what to expect. Angels don't come down to Earth much and sleep with women, so that leavs dragons. If you slept with a pureblood dragon or a dragon knight expect the unexpected. Dragons and dragon knights have magic that permeates their bodies, their very DNA. Where they go the world changes, a dragon knight full transformation causes ripples that automatically changes the world, the more powerfull the knight, the greater the changes. Dragon DNA is always dominant, even if you're human and you slept with a dragon the dragon's DNA will show up in the infant. The mother will undergo changes as well as the child due to the magic. It's the only way for the mother to survive child birth, remember you're not birthing a child, but a dragon. The mother should expect an increase in vitality, strength, speed, endurance, and will find that their skin, bones, and muscles are harder, and stronger. A "baby bump" as it is most commonly called will only show up around the halfway point to the childs development. This is the only way to tell when you are going to have the baby due to the massive amounts of magic that is being generated. The bump will be small due to the fact that the babies magic will create a small distortion field in the womb allowing it to grow to full size without restraining the mother. This is so that in nature the mother is able to better defend herself and protect the child. The mother should expect a prodigious apetite in a healthy pregnancy, sometimes eating twice her own bodyweight, a young dragon's body requires huge amounts of nutrients, as a result the mother will crave whatever is high in the nutrients the phetus needs at that time. The breasts of the mother will also increase dramatically in bothe size and sensitivity, due to the fact that a great deal of the nutrients consumed will go to the breasts, also another reason for the large consumption of food. Next emotionally an expecting mother will find herself ever increasingly drawn to the father of the child and will begin to excrete a pheromone of protection and arousal. This is believed to be caused due to the massive amounts of magic the child generates, there are many creatures in the world that are drawn and feed on magic. Also with all of the nutrients running through the mothers body as well as magic, it is common for sentient creatures and wizards to go after an expecting mother, many of her body parts can be used for power boosts, health potions. For example for witches the heart can be used for eternal beauty. Wizards prefer keeping the mothers alive for the breast milk since it provides immense power and enhances their physical appearance. Necromancers prefer the placenta that a mother produces, and the actual womb because it enhances their montsers endurance and power.
A mother will not find herself experiencing morning sickness, or sudden mood swings, this is believed so that the mother is able to keep a level head in times of danger, and to prevent a loss of needed body fluids. The mother will experience a sudden increase in sexual arousal, Dragons often become more powerfull when their heart rates increase, this means that the father becomes more dangerous and protective of his offspring. Also as I mentioned earlier the mother will be drawn to the father more, male dragons in nature used to mate with several females and with only one male to protect many females with many enemies the females would compete for the males attention and thus his protection. Today dragons only mate with one partner, but the drive for the males attention still exists, especially if there is any chance of a competing female who may or may not be pregnant.

With that the book promptly closed and went back on its shelf in its rightfull place. "So did you learn anything usefull?" said Draykon
 
Lily reads the page carefully when she see the word dragon. That is why she choose this book, that's what she needed to know. She rested her hand on her still flat stomach and read.

Some things she read were good, such as the increase of endurance. That meant that training could get a little bit easier for her. Also being able to stay calm would help her alot, especially with some of Draykon's guests.

But there was also bad news. She wouldn't just be hunted for the child growing in her belly, but for parts of the body. She was in even more danger than she had originally thought but if what it said about the father getting protective, she had no need to worry.

"Mmm-Hmm!" She said happily looking up at him. "There alot to expect with my pregnancy!"
 
"I should think so, I read a similar book for men who are expecting to be fathers, I never did get around to being a father, so some of it was even a bit surprising for me. For example I will get territorial with you, not sure how that will work out." Draykon said as he moved towards Lily and cuped her face, and scented a strange enticing scent.
