Logan’s brow quirked when Rose asked if he had meant something other than a nightclub. At first, that seemed like a bit of a stupid question but then he remembered that she was not from around here. The Brawlers pretty much ran Ashburn’s ‘Entertainment District, which was what the city’s youth affectionately called the plaza where the majority of the city’s most popular recreational facilities were located. There was the Little Duffer’s Miniature Golf Course, the Pennies and Dymes Arcade, the Spares and Strikes bowling alley, the Hollywood Filmz movie theatre, and The Pulse, Ashburn’s hottest nightclub. The plaza also housed a roller rink, a Gold’s Gym, and another club that was direct more towards adults – nothing XXX rated, mind you. It was, more or less, a glorified bar with darts, pool tables, and the like. The Brawler’s had connections to just about all of these establishments, save for the later three, which was fine by Logan because none of those particularly interested him anyway. Their connection to The Pulse was especially strong, seeing as it was owned by one of the captain’s older siblings.
Though it was true that Rose wouldn’t be able to walk into The Pulse by herself, she wouldn’t be going alone. Logan would be right there beside her and all he would have to do to get her inside would be to tell the bouncer at the door that she was with him. The only thing that Logan probably wouldn’t be able to do was convince the barkeeper to pour Rose a glass of anything other than water, root beer, or some kind of fountain drink, but she didn’t look like a drinker to him anyway.
“Don’t you worry about not being eighteen,” Logan answered the confused little redhead. “Yes, we’re going to a nightclub but I can get you in the door – I know the owner and most of the staff. I won’t be able to get you any hard drinks, but you need to get out and mingle. Have you even left this house since you got here?”
