Ashburn, Virginia – a small-time city with more than its fair share of problems, most of which stem both directly and indirectly from their local gang, the Ashburn Brawlers. Ten years ago, if you had asked a hundred different locals about the Brawlers then you wouldn’t have gotten anything except a few strange looks. These days, however, the gang is a household name in the growing city. Their mark decorates the walls of the city alleyways, they’re mentioned frequently on the local news, and the local police are always chasing down some new lead that will ultimately trail off and go cold.

The Brawlers got their start about five years ago as an underground street fighting group and have since blossomed into a full-on criminal gang. Their humble start in the back alleys and basements of its members has not been forgotten and bets on illegal pit fights still make up a large portion of the gang’s gross income. Outside of their unique flavor of gambling, the gang also pulls in funds from selling a standard array of drugs, firearms trafficking, theft, and extortion. From the outside looking in, the Ashburn Brawlers are your typical small-time American gang.

On the inside, however, the Brawlers aren’t quite as typical. The Brawlers’ leaders have gone to great lengths to ensure that gang on gang violence involving their group hovers just above a minimum. In fact, the only gang war that the Brawlers have been involved in was a small bout over turf that only lasted a few days before the rival gang was completely gone. Ashburn belongs to the Brawlers – any other gang willing to accept that is welcomed with respect and offered trade and strenuous friendship.

Fortunately for the populace of Ashburn, the Brawlers are relatively harmless and don’t go out of their way to disturb the public unless provoked. Sure, there are a few lower-ranked members of the gang who think that being a Brawler entitles them to whatever they want but the higher up that you go in the gang, the more rigid they become. For the most part, the Ashburn Brawlers are more like a small mafia group than a traditional American gang. Their syndicate actions are carefully planned and thought out as opposed to random acts of greed and violence. The locations where they store or create illegal merchandise is much more hidden away than a simple apartment room or trailer out in the suburbs. Little about the Brawlers reads like a typical American gang except for their loyalty to one another, their protection of their turf, and their dislike of the Virginia PD.

Logan Savage, known simply as ‘Savage’ to his friends, is the man responsible for the formation and the growth of the Ashburn Brawlers. Logan had grown up in a one-parent household with his father after his mother passed during child birth. Logan’s father hadn’t been around much when Logan was younger, for obvious reasons. Raising a child on your own isn’t easy for anyone and Logan’s father had taken a second job to help make his son’s future the best that he could.

From a young age, Logan’s grades in school were above average with little effort from the young boy. This was something that would persist throughout the course of his schooling. After school each day, Logan was picked up by his aunt and taken to the local karate center for kids where he spent the rest of his day until his father came to pick him up from there. The young boy’s knack for martial arts was about as good as his knack for school and as he grew older and graduated from the lower karate classes, he moved on to more advanced local schools.

In High school, Logan became the captain of his school’s martial arts club during his freshman year and created the Ashburn Brawlers in his dad’s basement. The original members of the Brawlers were all members of Logan’s martial arts club and those original members are all still high-ranking members of the gang. As time went on, the group expanded and became involved in more and more gang-like activities until the original intention of the Brawlers was all but lost in the ring of illegal blood sport and gambling.

These days, Logan is twenty-three and out of school. He lives alone on the second floor of his father’s duplex in the Ashburn suburbs, though he rarely sees his old man who lives on the first floor. When his rent is due, he usually just slides an envelope with cash in it through his father’s mail slot and goes on his way. Hell, Logan didn’t even attend his old man’s wedding last week. Needless to say, Logan’s relationship with his father wasn’t the best though Logan wouldn’t call it bad. He and his father stayed out of one another’s ways and that is how he liked it.

Logan was a handsome young man, after all, and it just wouldn’t do to have his father come knocking on his door while he was entertaining a female companion. Standing at an inch or two over six feet with a toned, athletic build, dark brown hair, blue eyes, an above average manhood, and the cash flow of a city-wide gang at his fingertips, there weren’t too many nights that Logan wasn’t entertaining a woman.

Tonight would be different Logan thought to himself as he took his evening shower and got himself ready for his ‘date’. Tonight, Logan wasn’t even going to need his car to find his companion for the night. The girl that had caught his eye lived just down the stairs from him now. He had seen her moving her things into his father’s part of the duplex – a cute little redhead. He assumed that this girl was his new step-sister. He knew that his new step-mother had a child from a previous marriage but he didn’t know what sex or even how old her child was.

Regardless, there was an attractive young woman on the floor just below his now, and both his father and his step-mother should be working tonight. What kind of brother would Logan be if he did not go down and introduce himself? If this girl was his new step-sister then there would be no blood between them to stop them from sharing a bed. If she wasn’t, then he needed to figure out why she was hanging around?

Grabbing the towel, Rose wrapped it around her and stepped out of the shower. Standing in front of the mirror, she let her eyes drift over her body. At 17 she looked much younger then she was. Her slender figure and pert little breasts adding to the illusion of her being younger then her age. Back in her old high school the other girls used to make fun of her and call her names. It didn't help that all the kids in her old school knew about her father.

She was only eight at the time, But she could still remember the cops and the news cameras camped outside her house. At the time all there pictures had been splashed across the news. Why her mother decided to stay in that little town and not move away Rose couldn't figure out. The small South Carolina town treated her and her mother as if they had something to do with what her father had done, as if they where the guilty ones.

As she grew older, Rose withdrew more and more, becoming quiet and shy. The few times she did try to make a new friend, when they found out who her father was they would turn on her and call her names. Those times seemed to hurt the most.

At first when Rose met Chuck, her mothers boyfriend, she was indifferent, thinking that he would soon leave like all her mothers other boyfriends did. But a few months ago Roses mother came home and told her that Chuck had asked her to marry him. Rose could still remember that day, her mother had been so happy. Rose remembered her mother saying this was going to be a new beginning for the both of them. But the best part was that they where going to be moving away from South Carolina and be moving to Vergina. Her mother said it would be a new start for the both of them where nobody knew who they where.

The wedding was a small privet ceremony, but even still Rose was surprised that Chucks son Logan didn't bother to attend. Rose knew that Chuck had a son that would be living over them in the duplex, but still Chuck hadn't talked about him much. And now that she had been here for the past 4 days she still hadn't seen him. She thought that was rather odd of him, surely he must be a little curious about his fathers new wife.. and step daughter.

The floor floor over the bathroom creaked and startled her out of her thoughts. Turning her attention back to the face that stared back at her in the mirror. Her big brown eyes staring back at her small delicate features. Her long red hair framed her face, a light smattering of frackles across the bridge of her small button nose. Her lips where warm and full, the color of fine wine, when she smiled little dimples lit up her soft cheeks. "See you can be cute sometimes," she said to the reflection in the mirror and then immediately blushed at the thought. Rose never thought of herself as cute or pretty, In school the few times she had dressed up and put on make up the other girls made fun of her and called her a prude and stuck up, But when she didn't dress up they would pick on her and call her dumpy. No matter what she did they would pick on her. If she got good grades the other kids would call her a know it all and smarty pants, but then when she would get bad grades they would call her stupid and a retard. So she withdrew into herself, Now at 17 Rose was extremely shy and withdrawn, scared of her own shadow.

Walking across the hall to her bedroom she heard the music turn on upstairs, Over the past few nights she had heard the noise from upstairs.. the loud music .. the sounds of moaning .. which would always make her blush when she heard it. She knew Chucks son Logan lived upstairs, sitting on the bed she was more then a little curious about the elusive Logan. The song ended and the room filled with silence, there was no moaning coming from upstairs tonight, it would seem the mysterious Logan was alone tonight.

She stood up shaking her head walking over to her dresser, why should she even care if he was alone or not? she thought to herself as she pulled out a pair of shorts and a tee shirt and slipped them on getting ready for bed. Standing in front of the mirror she ran a brush through her long hair. Another song started to play coming from the rooms over her head, then the sound of water running in the shower over head.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

The sounds of Logan simply being himself had never been a problem before Rose moved into the downstairs duplex with her mother and her new step-father. Logan’s father had never heard any of it because of how well the duplex was made and the effort that had gone into insulating between the first floor’s ceiling and the second floor’s flooring. Unfortunately for Rose, she had selected the room directly below Logan’s bedroom as her own and despite the quality of the duplex, it would appear that the sounds of Logan’s everyday life could penetrate into the rooms directly below him; if just slightly.

It was nearly eight o’ clock that night when Logan stepped out of his home to fetch his entertainment for the evening. He had taken a nice, long shower, washed his hair, shaved, and brushed his teeth. Between the subtle scent of his shower gel and his cologne, he smelt about as fresh as he felt. Though this was all very routine to him after years of nightlife, something about tonight just felt different. Perhaps it was the air of taboo surrounding his desired company.

It wasn’t enough to just feel and smell clean and ready for the night ahead – Logan had to look the part as well. He had slicked his hair back to give it that wind-swept look that seemed to get him a fair share of looks on its own. Normally, he would let the wind to it naturally by putting the top down on his dark blue corvette or riding his Harley but he wouldn’t actually be traveling tonight. His attire was neat and clean, both stain and wrinkle free. Black leather steel-toed boots disappeared beneath the legs of standard blue denim jeans. A tight, black tee-shirt wrapped around his torso. It, too, disappeared into his jeans, tucked in as though the wearer was a real gentleman. The young Logan made a dangerously convincing wolf in sheep's clothing.

If looks could kill then Logan would be one hell of a secret weapon. On top of the looks, he’d have the brains to use them, martial skills that could break bones, and one hell of a shot with just about any fire-arm that you gave him a few minutes to get comfortable with. His ego might be a little bit of a weakness but most women that he took interest in seemed to be attracted to that cocky and confident attitude.

Confident that the night would end in his favor, Logan made his way down the stairs on the side of the duplex. He walked right by the small building containing his bike and ignored his corvette completely. This would be the first time in months that he’d actually knocked on his father’s door, Logan thought to himself as he rounded the corner and moved up the walkway. This would be the first time in moths that Logan acknowledged that he had a neighbor and the man of the house wouldn’t even be home. He couldn’t help but be mildly amused by the thought.

Before Logan realized, he was standing in front of the large, solid oak door that lead into his father’s home. The young man had a key to the door but knowing that there was someone home made him raise his hand and knock upon the door. He didn’t live here, after all, and it would have been rude to barge in when someone who did was inside.

Still in her bare feet Rose walked out into the kitchen. Taking a bag of popcorn from the cabinet she placed it into the microwave. While she waited for the microwave she poured herself a glass of soda from the fridge. Friday night and home alone she decided to watch one of the many videos her new step father had. If anything, Chuck had all the best in stereo and video equipment as well as hundreds of movies to choose from.

Turning the lights in the apartment down low, then popping in the newest Final Destination move into the video player Rose made herself comfortable on the huge white leather couch in front of the Television. Pulling her feet up underneath her and wrapping a blanket around her.

Ten minutes into the movie, Rose sat wide eyed clutching her drink in her hand, scarcely breathing. Ta-Dum-Ta-Dum... The scary music was bleating from the surround sound all around her. Suddenly .. KNOCK.. KNOCK.. KNOCK at the door.. Rose screamed and jumped so high she spilled the soda down the front of her white tee shirt. "Oh shit!" she yelped as she jumped up .. the ice cold drink covering the front of her, her heart beating wildly.

Realizing it was somebody knocking at the door she looked at the clock, 8 o'clock, "who would be knocking at the door at 8 o'clock on a Friday evening?"

Stepping around the couch.. still cursing her self for being so clumsy, wiping at her wet tee shirt she went to the door. At just a hair over five foot tall she had to stand on her tippy toes to see out the peep hole. "haaa!" she gasped, quickly turning from the peep hole and pressing her back against the door. Her heart started raising again, for what she saw had to have been one of the handsomest man she had ever seen standing on the other side of the door.

Hesitantly, only to aware of how she must look, she cracked open the door leaving the chain lock still on. Her big fawn like brown eyes peeking out from behind the door. " Yes, can I help you?" she said in a voice almost to soft to be heard.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

At just over six feet tall, Logan was taller than most women. He hadn’t expected to meet the girl whom he presumed was his new step-sister eye to eye, but he wasn’t expecting her to be quite as short as she was either. From the second floor window, she had seemed taller and she had seemed older. From close up, this girl had to be a full foot shorter than Logan was and with those big doe eyes, she looked like she was fourteen. If this little shock didn’t put a damper on Logan’s plans for the evening then nothing would. Logan didn’t care if this girl was his step-sister but he did care that she was a child, or that she appeared to be at least.

The young man’s blue eyes fixed themselves on the big earthy brown orbs that were staring at him from the crack in the door. What did he say to her now? This girl was cute but he wasn’t about to hit on a girl that he now believed was younger than sixteen. Heck, he didn’t really enjoy picking up girls that young either but that was the age that he, personally, felt that a young man or woman could make their own decisions.

“Hello there,” Logan said as a fake smile slid across his lips to hide both the shock and the disappointment from his revelation about his new sister. “My name is Logan – Chuck’s son. I saw you moving some of your things into his place here a few days ago and I just thought that I should come by and introduce myself.”

Logan’s tone of voice was a lot more calm and confident than he really felt. He couldn’t believe that he had seen this girl from the wrong angle and thought that she was closer to his age. How could he have been so stupid and how could a fourteen year old look so damn hot from above? Hell, that was the least of his problems right now. What excuse could he use to get out of there quick before he was stuck spending his entire evening with a little girl? He had no intentions of spending all night babysitting a child that shouldn’t have been left home alone in the first place.

Just like that, Logan was reminded why he tried to avoid his old man when he could. Chuck had always been a great dad and he loved to joke around and play jokes on his family, especially Logan. Logan, on the other hand, had become a rather serious individual. Dropping a good looking girl into his lap and having her turn out to be too young was a sick cosmic joke, not unlike the ones that Chuck liked to play.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

Rose was glad for the door that stood between Logan and her. As it was Rose was good at putting up walls between her and others. Only problem is if someone really looked they would see those walls where more fragile then they first appeared. Opening the door a few more inches she stuck her hand out, and smiled, when she smiled little dimples marked her cheeks, which enhanced her innocent look. "Hi, I'm Rose, your new step sister."

As soon as she said it she quickly looked down at the floor thinking to her self,"damn that was stupid. Of course he knows your his step sister." Then she quickly closed the door in Logan's face. Behind the door the chain rattled then the door swung open. "Ohh I'm sorry. Where's my manors? Would you like to come in.. Chuck and my mom.. err .. your step mom arnt here." Slow down, she told herself, she was so nervous she was talking to fast and had totally forgotten about the soda that soaked her tee shirt turning it into a wet tee shirt.. Her firm full tits slightly jiggling through the see through tee shirt as she rattled on nervously.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

“Yeah, I figured as much,” Logan said before he reached out and took the redhead’s much smaller hand into his own. Even as he shook his new sister’s hand and offered an air of false kindness and consideration, his mind reeled in an attempt to find a way out of this. Maybe she won’t let me in, he thought. ‘The old man shouldn’t be home and neither should her mother. Parents these days teach their kids not to let strangers into the house, right? There’s a chance that I might not be Logan. She’s never seen me before and I’m pretty sure that the newest photo of me that dad has is my high school graduation picture from five years ago.’

When the girl took her hand back and shut the door in his face, a wave of relief washed over Logan. Was that it? Well, it was a little rude but the young man wasn’t in a position to argue. He had hoped that he would find a way out of this uncomfortable situation and the universe had provided. Now he could go hop in his car and go find a more appropriate companion than a little fourteen year old girl. Sure, his new sister would be a heartbreaker in a few years but she was off-limits for now.

When the door swung back open, however, Logan knew that he was trapped here until the girl got tired and padded off to bed. Well maybe that wouldn’t be so bad. It was already eight o’ clock and most kids went to bed early didn’t they? If he stuck around then he could at least say that he had tried the next time that his father called and griped at him about living right next door and never visiting.

Logan just continued to smile as he stepped through the doorway and into the house. Looking around, it was clear to see that Chuck had been doing fairly well for himself in the past few years. The flooring in the living room was hardwood – quite the change from the shaggy carpet that Logan had remembered it being. All of his dad’s ratty old furniture had been replaced with what looked like solid wood and leather. There was a rather large fish tank next to the door stocked with all kinds of exotic ocean fish and the television looked like it belonged in a small theatre.

“Not bad,” Logan mused as he looked around. He didn’t seem to be paying much mind to Rose, which she should have probably been thankful for because if he had she might have died from embarrassment. Logan might have been a street-brawler gone gang leader but he had standards. “The old man’s done pretty well for himself. I remember when this place looked about as run-down as you can get. It’s good to see that he’s taking better care of his home. 'Course, now he has a reason to, I suppose.”

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

Rose fallowed Logan in towards the living room, still keeping her eyes down. That's when she noticed her shirt was still soaking wet from the soda. She excused herself rather quickly, but her voice was so low that Logan probably didn't even hear her. Quickly ducking into her room she threw off her shirt and reached for another one and then slipped on a big fluffy rob and wrapped it around her. When she came back out Logan was still looking into the living room as if he hadn't even noticed she had moved.

"I was just getting ready to watch a movie. If you want you can sit down and watch it with me." she said, and then felt suddenly out of place. Here she was inviting Logan to sit down .. but it was his house wasn't it.. I mean it was his fathers. She moved over to the other side of the large leather sofa and sat back down looking over at Logan to see what he was going to do. "What do you mean he's done pretty good for himself? Is this new? Don't you come down stairs and visit your father often?" She couldn't understand why this all looked new to Logan. She had been under the impression from Chuck that him and Logan had a pretty close relationship, after his mother died they where all each other had. Of course Rose had no idea of Logan's other family.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

As Rose had figured, Logan didn’t even notice that the little girl had temporarily darted away to her bedroom. The young man was rather amazed that his father had turned their ratty old home into something to be proud of. Logan could still remember being a little boy in this place; back when the floors were carpeted, the furniture was cheap, and they didn’t even have a television. Back then, the second floor was being rented to one of his father’s friends who only used it for storage. Now that Logan’s father didn’t need to support his son, and Logan himself had quite the operation going at his fingertips, the both of them were much better off.

It wasn’t until Rose spoke again that Logan was pulled from his unpleasant nostalgia and realized where he was. He really just wanted to get out of there, but just up and leaving without a valid excuse would have been too rude. Besides, with it being this late then this girl would probably fall asleep while watching the movie. When she did, Logan could leave. He had a key to his father’s place so he would be able to lock the door behind him and forget about this girl for a few years while she grew into a little more of a woman.

“I guess I could sit and watch with you,” Logan said with a fake smile as he moved toward the couch and sat himself down on the other side, opposite Rose. “Yeah, this is all pretty new. When I was your age, this place was pretty ratty – definitely nothing to be proud of like it is now. I don’t really know how new it is, though. I don’t think I’ve been in the bottom floor since I first moved out when I turned eighteen.”

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

Pulling the blanket that she had abandoned earlier back around her and passing the bowl of popcorn in Logan's direction. "When you where my age?" she smiled softly. "From what your father had said I didn't think there was that much age difference between us. Your what? Twenty two? Twenty three?" Rose was aware that most people mistook her for being much younger then she really was, which normally she didn't mind. But for some reason the idea of Chucks son thinking of her as a little girl bothered her. Bringing her attention back to the blanket wrapped around her .. she picked at an invisible piece of lint, " I'm going to be Eighteen in two months."

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

Logan wasn’t about to believe what he was hearing – not without some kind Logan wasn’t about to believe what he was hearing – not without some kind of proof, at least. Sure, Rose was a little cutie, but she didn’t look any older than fourteen at the absolute oldest. Logan had known plenty of short girls that were about Rose’s height but they had all looked older in their facial features and an air of maturity in their attitudes. This girl had a baby face and she seemed a little... awkward.

Logan turned his attention from the television to the little redhead sitting opposite him on the couch. His eyes took her in for a moment, or at least what little of her that he could see. What was her game? She clearly wasn’t as old as she was making it seem. Had she turned Logan’s own game around on him? Was Rose trying to make him think that she was older than she really was so that he would be willing to sleep with her?

“There’s no way that you’re almost eighteen,” the young man said rather matter-of-factly as he turned back toward the television. If Rose was playing her own little game of seduction then it wasn’t going to work. Besides, that mousy little tone and the way that she had opened the door spoke of a girl that wasn’t too sure of herself. Even if Logan went along with her little game then she would get frightened when he made his move on her just like all of the other clearly inexperienced girls that he had picked up. Maybe that was the best thing to do. If he played along with her then he could scare her and set her straight. The last thing that Logan needed was this little brat getting herself hurt. He would never hear the end of it from his father. ‘You should be protecting your new little sister,’ he could already hear his father preaching.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

Turning her attention back to the movie, Rose was unaware of Logan checking her out. Not that she had ever thought anybody had checked her out before.
She realized she should try to talk to Logan, but it felt like her tongue was stuck to the roof of her mouth. She rubbed her sweaty palms on her robe, all to aware of how nervous she felt. Logan had to be the most handsome man she had ever seen. He certainly didn't look like the grease monkeys or the pimply faced boys she used to see back in South Carolina. She dared a quick glance from the side of her eye in Logan's direction. Oh gawd he's looking at me! she thought, a small knot turned in her stomach. He thinks I'm funny looking, I just know it. Damn his father isn't here, why doesn't he just leave? Why does he keep looking at me like that? Feeling self conscious she pulled the blanket up higher till it was just under her chin.

When Logan said he didn't think she was almost 18 she didn't try to argue with him like a normal 14 year old would have. Instead she just shrugged her shoulders, turning her head to look at him she gave him a small smile, the dimples where back again. Damn she hated those dimples and freckles making her look so much younger then she was. She supposed when she was thirty she would be happy to look younger, but right now it was just one more thing for her to be self conscious about.

RE: When Two Worlds Collide... [PF & Rapedoll]

A simple shrug of the shoulders wasn’t quite what Logan had been expecting. He’d expected her to throw a little fit and insist that she was older than she looked as a girl might do after being pushed out of a liquor store. Alternatively, he thought that she might apologize for lying to him and admit the truth. Rose certainly didn’t look like the kind of girl who was used to lying to get her way. Those kinds of girls in Ashburn were usually all pierced up with dyed hair and maybe a tattoo or two. Of course, those girls were always the wild ones in bed but you had to be careful not to get caught up in one of their games.

That’s when it hit him – maybe this entire quiet and shy act was a game. Logan didn’t know Rose from any other girl on the street, after all. Maybe she was a little bite of trouble just trying to play the part of a shy and scared little step sister so that her big brother would scoop her up into his arms and hold her tight. It seemed unlikely and it seemed like a lot more effort than it was worth but who besides Rose herself could really be sure about that? Logan would need to play an aggressive game to get to the truth.

“Well if you’re almost eighteen, Little Miss Rose, then you should be trying to find a place of your own,” Logan said in a slightly sarcastic tone as he brought his hands up and tucked them behind his head like a pillow. “As a matter of fact, I have a spare room upstairs. Why don’t you come stay with me tonight? We can tell the folks tomorrow that you’re moving upstairs and get some of your things moved. Of course, if you’re too scared then I would understand. You might have to stay there alone some nights.”

Her eyes grew wide, while her mouth dropped open. Turning her head and looking at Logan with a look of shock. "I never thought about getting a place of my own. At least not yet. I'm still in High School. Perhaps when i go to collage I might move away." Then thinking about Logan's offer, "Gee that's really nice of you to offer, but it would hardly be like my moving away if i was only upstairs. And besides that, I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience to you. After all you do have your own life." She thought about the nights she could hear the noises coming from Logan's appartment and knew he liked to party. From the sounds of it, it sounded like he partied a lot.

By now Rose was hardly paying any attention to the move as she watched Logan across from her. She couldn't help but notice his lean strong muscles as he leaned back against the couch. "Your father said you know Karate. How long have you been training?"

“Yeah, I thought that you might want to stay here,” Logan said in a triumphant retort upon hearing Rose decline his offer. “Moving out can be such a scary idea for a little girl as young as yourself, even if you’ll only be right next door. Your mother won’t be there for you if you get sick and she won’t be able to make you lunch every day or tuck you in at night. I certainly wouldn’t baby you if you did come to live with me, so maybe it is best that you stay down here with mommy and your new daddy.”

Logan new very well how smug he had to sound right now, but that was the point. Though Rose had spoken the truth about her age, she just simply didn’t look the part and as far as Logan knew, he had just caught a bold little girl in her bold little lie. Maybe it was better that he stopped by, after all. Even if Rose was too young to scratch that little itch that all men Logan’s age were compelled to satisfy as often as possible, she had given her new big brother a small degree of power over her and Logan did like having power over other people. All it would take is to tell his father that Rose had been lying about her age to get her into some kind of trouble. The young thug would be sure to remember this if he ever needed anything from his little red-headed stepsister.

“Yeah, that’s right,” Logan continued, answering Rose’s questions. “He signed me up for an after-school course when I started kindergarten so that I would have somewhere to go after school while he was at his second job. I guess that means that I’ve been doing martial arts for about eighteen years. Not all of it is karate, though. Once I earned my first Dan black belt, I started to study a few other schools; mostly judo and muay thai, both of which I am still attending classes for.”

Rose chuckled a little to herself as she listened to Logan talking to her as if she where a naughty little girl. As shy and timid as Rose was , even if Logan was wrong she wasn't about to argue about it. Let him believe what he wanted to, it didn't bother her in the least.

She sat back listening to Logan and half watching the movie. Every now and then she would nod and smile, the tiny dimples showing. Suddenly she was startled by the sound of a car alarm going off down the street. After but a second she rolled her eyes and sighed, "Damn! That damn car alarm has been going off almost every night. I'm going to have to bring it to the shop and have them look at it."

She pushed the blanket off her lap and stood up and went to her room. A moment later she came back jiggling her car keys. Wrapping the robe tighter around her and tieing the belt she slipped on her shoes. Looking at Logan, "I'm sorry I'll be right back. My cars just a few houses down. Ever since we moved her the alarm has been going off almost every night... must be a wire or something. I'll be right back." she repeated and headed out the door and down the front steps in just her robe in the middle of the city. Although the car was only about 4 houses down the street it was obvious that Rose wasn't from the city as she seemed to be oblivious to everything around her except for the blaring of the car horn.

Rose was good – that Logan could not deny. Though she had declined his offer of freedom from her mother, something that he was sure any young woman of eighteen would have killed for, she wasn’t about to give up her little charade. If Logan wasn’t dumb enough to believe that she was almost eighteen, when she was clearly several years from it, did she honestly expect him to believe that the car alarm outside was coming from her car? Though Logan couldn’t help but feel a little insulted, he had to admire his new little sister’s drive and wit.

Her mother’s car alarm had started going off out in the street and without missing a beat, she had grabbed her mother’s keys and made claim to the car. Most of Logan’s friends’ little sisters would have given up the moment that they were exposed through one reason or another and even if they did not, they would have not been this resourceful or quick-witted. What she probably did not realize was that she had just set her own trap. If she had a car then she had to have a driver’s license. When she couldn’t produce her license for Logan to see, he would have her.

Though Logan was content to know that victory over Rose was soon at hand and that he would make it a point to let her know that her new brother was no fool, there was one little nagging question in the back of his head. What did Rose have to gain from this lie exactly? His friends’ sisters all lied about their age to get access to alcohol, something that Rose wouldn’t have needed to lie to him about, truth be told. If she was trying to turn the tables on him and seduce him as he had intended to do to her until he saw how young she was, then shouldn’t she lie and say that she was eighteen in full? Of course, Logan wouldn’t have cared if she was sixteen instead of eighteen but Rose had no way of knowing that. Rose was up to something and Logan wanted to know what it was.

While Rose was out at her mother’s car, Logan just sat on the couch where he had been left, pondering the meaning of all of this. Something wasn’t right and Logan was going to figure out what.

Stepping out into the fresh are Rose was more then a little happy for the momentary reprieve. She was starting to feel closed in and uncomfortable being in the same room with her new step brother. She knew she looked young for her age, but why Logan refused to believe her was beyond her. Rose wasn't used to arguing and if Logan refused to believe her she would just let him think what ever he wanted.

Once she got out to the car she unlocked it and slid behind the steering wheel staring out the windshield, in no hurry to go back inside. Ah but that would be rude if she didn't go back in, she told herself. She just wanted to start the car and drive off somewhere. But that would be to impulsive, Rose never did anything impulsive seeming to stick to doing the safe thing. Taking chances was for other people not Rose Chattel.

After a couple of minutes she climbed out and walked back to the townhouse. As she walked up the steps and reached for the door she silently hoped that Logan left and went back to where ever he went to when he wasn't around.

When Rose returned to her new home, she would find that her new step-brother was still sitting on the couch, right where she had left him. Truth be told, Logan wanted out of there just as badly as Rose wanted him to leave but there was a point to be made here before he left – little Rose wasn’t sharp enough to pull one over on him. To most, it wouldn’t have seemed like any reason to stick around, but having been raised on a mixture of martial discipline and street chaos, Logan understood the need for order and dominance. If he bowed to Rose on their first encounter then she may feel that it was alright to mess with her new step-brother. She simply could not be allowed to think that she was the one in control of her new sibling relationship.

Meanwhile, while Rose stood on the doorstep, quietly hoping that her new step-brother had went along his way, a bright red convertible came screaming up the street and whipped itself into the duplex’s driveway. The top was down, making the black leather interior and the driver, who was the only person in the car, fully visible to the little redhead. The driver was an oriental woman that looked like she probably wouldn’t be too much taller than Rose if she got out of the car and about the same age as Logan. Her long raven hair was twisted back into a long braid. What color her eyes actually were was anyone’s guess but they appeared to be dark purple thanks to her cosmetic contacts.

The woman didn’t turn her car off once it was parked. Instead, she just turned to look at Rose with a questioning gaze. “Hey Little Red,” the woman spoke as she brought her hand up where Rose would be able to see it and motioned the little girl toward the car. “You live here now, girlee? Logan didn’t mention anything about a new neighbor and you look a little green ta be his old man’s squeeze.”

Rose turned to and looked at the woman, giving her a nervous smile. Her feet seemed to be stuck in cement as they refused to move. Shaking her head, "No, I mean yeah.. No. I'm Logan's step sister." she said as she put her hand on the door knob intending on going inside. "I'll tell Logan someones here looking for him."

As soon as she said that she opened the door and rushed inside as if the devil his.. or in this case, herself was on her tail. Leaning against the door, "Logan your girlfriend is outside." Rose said and then walked over to the couch and sat down.

When Rose came rushing inside as though she was being chased by some rabid dog, Logan couldn’t help but shoot her a smirk. He knew that she shouldn’t have gone strutting out the door in a tee shirt, a pair of night shorts, and a bath robe. He figured that someone must have been driving by and shot a lewd comment her way. After all, Logan knew all too well how tempting his new little step-sister looked if you caught an eye-full of her from the right angle, or wrong angle depending on how you wanted to look at it. She definitely didn’t look fourteen from a distance. When Rose told him that his girlfriend was outside, however, that smirk faded quickly.

“I haven’t got a girlfriend,” Logan said flatly as he stood up from the couch and moved over to the window. He pulled the curtains aside just enough for him to see out of the window as though he was expecting someone to shoot at him, but all he saw was an unfamiliar red car. There didn’t seem to be anyone in the vehicle and as far as he could tell, the car didn’t belong to anyone that he knew. All of his captains, the only Brawlers whom he let know where he lived, drove their personalized street racing cars just about everywhere so if it was one of them, he would have recognized the car.

Logan let the curtains fall shut before he turned to look at his sister sitting on the couch. He opened his mouth to speak, to ask what this ‘girlfriend’ had looked like, but he was interrupted by a knock at the door. “You should get that,” Logan said as he motioned Rose to the door. “I don’t live here anymore so it would be rude for me to answer your door.” Courtesy, of course, was the last thing on Logan’s mind. If whoever this was had any intention of hurting Rose then they would have done it already. It was better to have her answer the door until he knew who it was.

Rose felt a strange feeling run through her when Logan said he didn't have a girlfriend. The feeling was short lived though when she remembered all the nights laying in bed while she listened to the noise coming from the room above hers. She opened her mouth to say something but quickly shut it when Logan started questioning her about the mysterious woman . "I.. I.. I..," she stammered when she was interrupted by the knock at the door.

Looking at the door, her eyes wide... her voice was filled with trepidation. " But.. she's looking for you." Rose said as she nervously stood looking between Logan and the door. The second knocked seemed to get her moving.

Going to the door she cracked it open and peered out.. at first the girl was standing off to the side so Rose didn't see her. Then when the girl moved in front of the door Rose gave a startled little jump. " Ah I'm sorry your looking for Logan? He lives upstairs. Can I tell him who is looking for him?"

Just as it had appeared when the oriental woman had been in her car, she wasn’t much taller than the little redhead – just a few inches. She was wearing a rather tight-fitting pair of jeans, an equally tight-fitting belly shirt, and a full-length denim jacket with the sleeves cut off just above the elbow to make it look more like a sleeved vest. Her raven locks fell down her back, nearly reaching her waist, and her cheek bones were rather prominent. She was attractive, to say the least, and her clothes seemed to say that she knew it.

“I know where Logan lives, Little Red,” the woman retorted as she reached around with her right hand to pull a sealed and unlabeled envelope out of her back pocket. “I also know better than to stand up there and knock on his door at this time of night. He’s probably out at the clubs trying to find a piece of tail. If you’re his sister, could you see that he gets this? It is very important.” With that, the woman held the envelope out for Rose.

Though Logan had not recognized the car that sat out in the drive way, he did recognize the voice. It was Lee, one of the few girls that Logan wouldn’t mess with if he could avoid it. She certainly wasn’t the strongest hammer in the shop but she was quick, flexible, and scrappy. Add a background in taekwondo that stretched back for generations through her family and you would get one of Logan’s most reliable and dangerous captains. Lee was in charge of the gang’s small, but profitable, street racing circuit. She must have come to drop off his share of this month’s profits.

Despite knowing who it was that was here, Logan kept off to the side where Lee would not be able to see him unless she walked into the house, or at least poked her head into the door. Logan and Lee had a long history. They had been good friends before high school and heated rivals during high school after Logan took the head position in their school’s martial arts club. If she thought that Logan was hanging out with his teenage step sister then she would never let him live it down.

Rose kept her head down, in an unconscious display of submission. Only when Lee handed the envelope through the open door did Rose glance up. Not only was the woman one of the most exotically beautiful woman Rose had ever seen, the woman radiated overconfidence that Rose could only envy.

Taking the envelope from Lee, Rose nodded her head, " I'll give it to him as soon as i see him."
Closing the door, Rose turned around and looked at Logan. Her eyes narrowing, "what was that all about? Why didn't you want her to know you where here?" Handing the envelop to Logan .

When Rose held the envelope out to him, Logan did not hesitate in taking it from her and folding it in half so that it could be slid into his pocket. It wasn’t like Lee to hand a delivery over to anyone other than Logan himself, not even Chuck. Normally, if Logan wasn’t home, Lee would drop his payment off and whatever small package that she was delivering into the mailbox that Logan had mounted to the railing at the top of the stairs. He figured that Lee wanted to get a better look at Rose just in case Logan started talking about a robbery or something. After all, Lee didn’t have any way of knowing that Rose really was Logan’s sister.

“Lee and I have a complicated relationship,” Logan said simply as he moved around Rose to stand in front of the door. “Anyway, I really should be going. I wish that I could stay longer and actually get to know you a little but I’ve placed to be and people to see. Before I go, however, I don’t suppose that you could show me your driver’s license, could you? Call me paranoid, but I’d like to make sure that you’re who you say you are. After all, the man and new lady of the house are out and I don’t know you from Eve.”

Outside, the sound of the screeching wheels could be heard as the red car backed out of the drive way and went on its way down the road. Typical Lee, Logan thought to himself. It sounded like there was more under the hood of that car than it appeared. Lee would probably have it completely customized within a month’s time.
