Marilyn was pleasantly surprised when Jacob kissed her back and hugged her. Part of her seemed to know what she was doing was wrong, that she was breaking a sacred taboo between mother and child, and that part hoped Jacob would push her away in shock and disgust. But she silenced that part for good when Jacob finally pulled her close. So he did love her the way she loved him. Her heart beat faster in her chest. She ran her tongue against his lips, and gently ran her hands up and down her son's back. Finally, she broke the kiss, just enough to whisper, "I love you so much, baby. I love you." She moved in again for another kiss.
