The Ranch, as the team has taken to calling the abandoned bunker they've currently requisitioned as their base of operations, is really just an old bunker that once served troops during the Cold War, but has long since been abandoned and forgotten. The team has set the place up to serve as both a living quarters and a rally point, in case they get scattered and need to regroup. Being out in the countryside and away from prying eyes makes it the perfect hideout for a group of soldiers on hostile ground.
While, technically, Russia might not be considered enemy territory in general, there has been a faction on the rise that has quickly been gaining the interest of the people. This faction, calling themselves the Crimson Dawn, has one primary goal. They want to restore the USSR and reestablish its dominance in the Eastern Hemisphere, not to mention they wouldn't mind 'American Trash' a bit of payback for playing a large role in the crumbling their beloved empire.
The Ranch has been divided into sections, all serving a specific purpose. The communications center allows them to keep in touch with the friendlies across the border, using encrypted messages, and at the same time allows them to receive enemy transmissions, and often just a bunch of useless chatter, and on occasion some idiot having phone sex with his girlfriend on an unsecured line.
The barracks, of course, is where the team sleeps when they're at the bunker, being little more than a few cots scattered about with old footlockers serving as storage for their personal effects. The leader, Ace, even sleeps here with the rest of them, often saying "The team that sleeps together grows together." Of course some of the team members may have taken his meaning a bit differently than he intended...
The storage area is where the team keeps most of their supplies, along with equipment they have either brought along, or have managed to 'requisition' (John insists that 'stealing' is such a harsh word and simply has no finesse to it) over the course of their mission, having been there for a month already.
A section of the bunker has also been converted into a medical bay of sorts, although a rather crude one, where wounds are treated when received. Most of the team members tend to try and avoid going there if they can, however, since the medic tends to be a bit of a psychopath and apparently is just as willing to test her new 'truth' serum cocktails on team members as she is on enemies.
Finally, a small area of the Ranch has been set up for practicing personal combat, with a few makeshift training dummies and an area for sparring with a partner. Outside the bunker, a few targets have also been set up for marksmanship practice, though a rule has been implemented that one can only practice with a silencer to keep from giving away their position, just in case enemy troops might be coincidentally nearby.
Whether they love it or hate it, the Ranch is currently 'home' for the team, and living in close quarters does get a little stressful from time to time. They usually manage to find ways to deal with it and ease the tension, however...
