The mall was bustling as two teen girls walked down the corridor, one holding a large smoothie in one hand and a bag in the other while the other girl held a bottle of water. "So, where's this shop Sara?" The one with the smoothie asked with a soft laugh. With a giggle, Sara grabbed her friends hand. "Over this way Angel." the blonde said.

Together they entered a shop that sold different beach wear, mostly specializing in bathingsuits. With a smile, Angel released her friends hand and began looking around. Angel was in her senor year of highschool and since it was getting hot out, her and her friend Sara decided to go shopping for new swimming suits.

While she looked around, Angel listened to her friend chatter about her recent boyfriend and she smiled while chuckling softly, shifting through the different bikini's on the rack near the front window of the shop.

Dresden was walking through the mall, wandering and glancing over at shop windows. None of the items really interested him as most were directed at females, many of the shops were in fact swimwear shops right now. He stopped for a chocolate shake in the food court then kept wandering. As he was passing one of the shops he spotted a familiar face out of the corner of his eye in the store. When he turned to look he noticed it was Sara. He smiled a little and leaned against a post, watching her and waiting for him to take notice of her. He always did this when he saw her out, she found it cute and he didn't really mind.

{Sorry if this seems short, I feel like I need more to work with. Plus this reply box makes a post look longer than when its post.}

(It's alright. And I know. I hate that. My character is Angel. Sara is the blonde.)

Angel looked over her shoulder and smiled with a laugh when her friend said something and her eyes glimmered brightly in the bright lights of the store. Looking at the rack again, she pulled a swimsuit down that she liked and held it up to see better. However, as she was looking at the swimsuit, her eyes focused on something through the window of the shop and she slowly lowered the clothing and smiled slightly when she saw Dresden standing out against one of the posts. She'd met Dresden through some friend of his a couple weeks back and they'd only had a couple of run ins.

With a slightly wider smile, she put the suit back onto the rack before taking a drink of her smoothie before looking at another suit but she kept looking back up at him where he was standing. After a moment she lifted a hand and waved at him with a slightly bigger smile before she plucked a swimsuit down from the rack and she moved over to the register, pausing for a moment to grab a couple other things. While her things were being rung up, she kept looking over her shoulder to look at Dresden. Once her things were paid for, she grabbed her bag and looked at Sara who was still looking around. "I'm heading out of the store Sara." she called and her friend nodded.

Laughing to herself, Angel shook her head before she head out of the store, shouldering her purse and taking another sip of her drink. "Hey. What are you doing here?" she asked him as she approached, her short brown hair falling in her face a bit while she smiled at him. "This is sort of the... womens part of the mall." Angel looked around with a smile, glancing at the different stores around them. There were several bath and body stores as well as lingere and womens clothes as well as jewelry around them.

{was more directed at him knowing Sara and them meeting at the mall, but I'm fine with changing it up a little bit}

Dresden couldn't help grinning wider when she finally noticed him, he loved that little smile of hers. He watched as she continued to shop. He grinned wider still when she waved back to him. He thought Angel was extremely cute and didn't really hide it. When Angel walked out of the store he moved to stand straighter, he made an expression of mock surprise and looked around as if noticing the surroundings for the first time. "Is it? maybe that's why I feel so out of place." he said in a joking way. He chuckled and looked at her. "You know me, bit of a wandering spirit...not much ground to wander inside a mall so I boldly go where no man has gone before." he said with mock seriousness, imitating the tone of Captain Picard from Star Trek.

"By the way, that swim suit will suit you." he said, gesturing with his head at the bag. "You know about the beach party yeah? You going to be there?" he asked. He was hopeful she was going to be there, not just because he really wanted to see her cute self in a swimsuit, but also because he was hoping he'd get a chance to get closer to her while there, he was thinking about asking her out. He also knew parties were a place where emotions could get higher, he realized that it could blow in his face, but he hoped the atmosphere would spark some passion for the two of them.

(Oh. >.< Sorry.)

Angel laughed gently as his mock surprise and she nodded. "Oh yes." she said before chuckling again at his comment on him feeling out of place. "I don't know." she said playfully. "You looked rather comfortable here in this area of the mall." She tilted her head slightly and brushed her hair back from her face. "Besides, that bikini right over there might look good on you." She grinned while pointing to a dark blue bikini. The tone in her voice was light and playful. Listening to him speak and imitated Captain Picard, she laughed and shook her head while gazing up at him.

At his comment on the bikini she picked out, she arched an eyebrow before looking at the bag in her hand before nodding. "Thanks. I rather liked the style." she said before gently biting her lip as she thought about his quesiton. "Beach party?" she murmured. "Yeah, Sara mentioned something about it and invited me. So I might be going... Why? Are you?" The girl tilted her head curiously while smiling at him. Angel wasn't much of a party goer but it'd been a while since she'd been to the beach so she thought it would be fun. She'd always thought that Dresden had been a good looking guy but she didn't hang out with him enough to really know him very well.

Dresden smiled at her, he loved the way she held herself. he shifted and put his hands in his pockets. "Yeah I'm gonna be there. Its going to be fun I think." he said softly. "I hope you participate in the activities instead of just lounging on the beach." he said with a laugh. "Afterwards, a few friends and I are going to head back to my place to relax. You can come along if you like, there will be other girls there." he added with a smile. He shifted his weight so he leaned back, his posture somewhat shy but still managing to be confident. While he didn't really say anything his body language around her made it clear he thought she was really good looking. "How long are you going to be hanging around?"

Angel watched him, studying him a little and noting how relaxed he was. Slowly nodding, she shifted her bags around so she was holding them on one wrist and she took a drink from her cup. The mention of activities, she chuckled and she nodded slightly. "I'll spend a little time lounging on the beach, but I'll be participating in the activities as well. Perhaps some volley ball.. playing in the sand." she said slowly. His offer of going back to his place afterwards made her pause and she glanced at him with a small smile. "You're place?" she murmured before shrugging. "We'll see." she told him, her answer non-commital. She slowly moved so she was leaning against the post near him. While she wasn't out right blatently flirting with him, it was clear that she was interested and there were a few flirtatious movements from her. "I'll be around for a little while. Sara and I are here for new swimsuits and a couple other things. Once she's done we'll probably be leaving."

Dresden looked at her out of the corner of his eye and then smiled a little bit. "I guess lounging would be a given, but at least you'll be playing Volleyball, if you play against me how about we get ice cream on the winner?" he said with a little smirk, he was a fairly active guy and she knew him to be pretty well rounded in sports, so he was probably pretty good. It was his own subtle way of offering to get her ice cream while they were there. He nodded slightly when she gave her non-commital answer. "Its cool if you end up not coming." he said, he seemed a little down about the idea but he wasn't pressing so he seemed to be okay with the idea of her not showing. He found himself enjoying the interest she was giving him.

"Hmmm just a few items huh? Not going to need a big strong man to carry the clothes for you?" he asked her in a joking way, chuckling. "hey I'm supposed to meet a friend in a while, but i'd rather enjoy the company of a cute girl for a while before he scares all of them away." he said with a smirk. While he said "girls" he really meant her, though he seemed half serious about it. Judging by the sigh and shake of his head, the friend was probably pretty perverted and drove most girls away.

"I'd love to have some ice cream." she said with a grin, her blue eyes sparkling with laughter. "I'll go easy on you." Angel usually played things like tennis or track, though she did enjoy volley ball and occasinally some badmitton. Even though she was a tiny young woman, she was athletic and energenic. She noticed that he seemed a bit down and looked slightly curious. "I'll probably come. I really want to show off my new suit." she said, swinging her bag a little with a chuckle. "And the mention of some ice cream and a game with you really sweetens the deal." She flipped her hair back from her face again and smiled brightly with a giggle.

Nodding slightly, she looked down at the two bags she had. One from the store with the beach wear and the other from an electronics store. "Yeah, just a couple of items." she said. "So it's fairly light. You can carry it if you want though." His mention of enjoying the company of a cute girl made her nod slightly before looking at Sara. "Well.. seeing as how Sara seems to be really getting into shopping at the moment, I'm free for a bit." she said, watching as Sara pulled down another bikini and added it to the slowly growing pile of swimsuits in her arms. "She can call me when she's done."

Dresden smiled at the spark of laughter in her eyes and chuckled at her saying she would go easy on HIM. He knew she was a spunky energetic kind of girl, she was the object of attention for a number of guys, none of whom had slept with her or said more than a brainlessly perverted flirt to her, but were all convinced she was an incredible lay. He was happy when she said she might thanks to the promise of ice cream and a game with him. He felt a small flutter when she flipped her hair the way she did. "Awesome I'm sure it'll be fun." he said, his tone was innocent so he didn't really seem to mean that in a bluntly sexual way, though there was a tiny bit of playfulness to how he looked at her.

Dresden offered her his arms on which to hang her bags and smirked. "My dear you should not carry any burden if you do not wish to." he said with a theatrical flourish. He laughed a little and his eyes danced with amusement. "What shall we do with our time together? I take it you've already eaten...maybe just walk around and talk?" he offered. He was fairly curious where things would go with this girl.

Angel saw him smile and she decided she rather liked his smile. It made him look even more attractive. Her friend Sara as well as a couple other friends of theirs had crushes on him, just like she did. But she didn't make her crush really as well known as the others. She prefered the more subtle way of things. She'd only dated two or three guys in her highschool years and none of them have visited her bed, prefering not to just hop in the sack with any one. Besides, she'd always had a thing for older guys. "I'm sure it will be. Sand, some waves, spending time with great company. Nothing's more fun then that." she told him.

The theatrical flourish made her snort and laugh befre putting the light bags on his arm. "Thank you good sir." she said playfully before glancing down at her almost empty cup and nodding. "Yeah. We had lunch." she murmured before nodding again. "A walk and some conversation sounds good to me." she told him. Quickly finishing the smoothie, she tossed the cup into a nearby trash can before looking at him again.

Dresden smirked when she said she believed it would be fun, and chuckled at her reaction to his theatrics. He bowed deeply to her when she thanked him. "It is my pleasure miss." he said in a very formal stereotypical butler voice. He straightened up and shifted the bags so he was holding them easily in another hand, then gestured for Angel to lead the way, taking a moment to appreciate her nice little butt before falling into step easily beside her. "So I've never had much of a chance to learn about the girl behind that pretty face, what sort of hobbies do you have?" he asked her with an easy smile.

Angel chuckled gently as he bowed to her and she nodded slightly, watching as he straightened and moved the bags to a hand. Once he motioned for her to lead the way, she nodded slightly while adjusting her purse strap before beginning to walk. As she walked, the young woman felt his gaze on her ass and she smiled to herself before looking up at him as he moved to fall into step next to her. "Hobbies?" she echoed. "Well... I enjoy track and soft ball. But other then that I do the usual. Hang out with friends... school and work." She slipped her hands into the pockets of her jean skirt as she walked with him, shaking some of her choppy brown hair from her face. "I sometimes volunteer at one of the local animal shelters on my weekends. What about you? What kind of hobbies do you have, Dresden?"

Dresden listened to what she said attentively. He knew of course a little about her sports interests, she seemed to enjoy pretty normal things. The way Dresden saw her, she was someone with an spark to her life, something special that made her stand out despite the normalcy of things she enjoyed. When she asked her thought about it a little bit. "Hmm...well, I enjoy playing soccer with my buddies...sometimes football but its not a regular thing. I do track as well...and I take martial arts classes. Hang with friends...that sort of thing. Oh, I also like to read, and video games." he said, chuckling a bit at the last part. "Do you like to read sometimes?" he asked her with a curious look.

Angel looked up at him with a smile as he told her about enjoying soccar and the occasional football. She slowly nodded before chuckling as well when he said he liked reading and video games. She played games occasionally, but that's only when she felt like it. His question made her smile and she chuckled again. "Yes, I read quite a bit. Not as much as I used to when I was younger. In middle school... I'll admit I used to be a bit of a bookworm... A nerd if you will." she said, blushing brightly as she giggled softly. "Back then I could be seen with two... three, sometimes even four books that I was reading at the same time." She blushed again with a smile and chuckle. Angel had changed a lot since she was younger. In middle school she used to have glasses and braces, so the other students in school used to make fun of her.

Dresden watched her react, enjoying her smile and laughs. He smiled and laughed when she talked about how much she read when she was younger. "I still read that much when I have the time, AND if I can find books that hold my interest." he said with a chuckle. He looked at her and smirked a bit. "I find it cute you were the nerd girl, those are usually the ones that end up with the brightest future you know." He looked thoughtful for a moment. "In fact, one of my teachers when I was still in high school said he knew a girl who was a nerd in school and ended up a model as an adult."

He turned his eyes on Angel and smiled a bit. "I definitely think you're the kind of girl with a lot going for your future." he said earnestly.

Angel gave a soft bark of laughter as he let her know that he still read that much and she shook her head. Upon first meeting him, Dresden didn't seem like the type to read a lot of books. Then again, one shouldn't judge others by how they look or act. However, when he told her that he found it cute that she was the nerdy girl, she blushed brightly and arched an eyebrow. "Cute?" she echoed before smiling slightly with a shake of her head. "Not always though. There are some that don't make it far for one reason or another. But I'm glad you think I'm that kind of girl." Her words were soft and gentle but sincere as she gazed up into his eyes, her blue ones glittering brightly. "So... what do you want to do? In your future I mean? Any career plans?"

Dresden chuckled when she laughed and smirked when she blushed at his comment about her being cute. "That's true. But you will make it." he said in a matter-of-fact way, to him it was something that simply was, no question to it. He smiled when she looked into his eyes like that. "For my future?" he said in a questioning, thoughtful tone. "I want to run a business of some sort, build it up myself. Maybe a publishing company...help good writers be known better." he tilted his head and thought more. "If I can't get my own business off the ground and running, I will probably try my own hand at writing. If that doesn't work my dad really believes I could go far in Hollywood." he turned and looked at her now, he smiled slightly. "What about you?"

Angel gazed at him curiously and nodded as he spoke. She was quiet while he told her about wanting to run a business to help writers or he'd try writing. "That's rather ambitious." she said gently. "I think you'll be able to do it. If you believe in yourself and work hard, you can do it." As he turned the question to her, she tilted her head slightly with a small shrug. "I'm not too sure. I thought about illustration, but I don't know if that's for me. Something that has to do with art. Either that or I'll get into the fashion industry." Looking at him again, she grinned and chuckled softly. "But who knows. By the time I start college I might of changed my mind. It's too early to tell at the moment."

Dresden smiled when she gave him her vote of confidence, he liked the surety of it he saw in her eyes. He smiled a bit when she shrugged and said she wasn't sure, but as she said the things she might do he tilted his head and looked at her a little more. "I think I could see you in a lot of fields, all involving art. You would totally fit into that environment." he said with a smile. He blinked as his phone went off, taking it out to answer it. It turned out to be his friend asking for him to come give him a ride somewhere, Dresden was going to decline but it was apparently really important, he sighed as he hung up, he looked at Angel with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, it seems our time is at an end." he said, he sounded genuinely sad about having to go. "But I'll see you at the party yeah?" he said with a light smile.

Angel felt her cheeks redden a bit as he spoke and she bowed her head with a grin. "Really? Thanks." she said gently. When his phone went off, she looked up at him and listened as he spoke to who ever was on the other end. Hearing him sigh and then seeing his aplogetic smile, she knew that he had to go and nodded when he spoke. "It's alright." she said softly, reaching out and lightly touching his arm. "And yeah, you'll see me there. Just look for the short brunette wearing a blue tie-dye bikini. You can't miss me." A moment later she heard her own phone chime, signalling she had a text and she chuckled. "That's probably Sara." she said but she didn't pull the phone from her purse. Stepping close to him, she kissed him quickly on the cheek before stepping back a couple steps. "I'll see you later then."

Dresden was happy that she wasn't bothered by him having to go, he did honestly wish to stay. But he contented himself knowing he would see her later. He chuckled when she said what to watch out for. "Then i'll just keep my eye out for the hottest girl there with the best bikini." he said with a sly smile. He blinked and looked somewhat surprised, though pleased when she kissed him on the cheek. He grinned widely at her. "Yeah, see you later Angel." he said, he added a touch of fondness to the way he said her name, making it a an endearing statement. He gave her a hug then turned to leave, waving at without turning and glancing over his shoulder. "I look forward to it."

Angel felt her cheeks redden at his words and she giggled softly as he said that he'll keep his eye out for the hottest girl with the best bikini, smiling brightly at him. She noticed the surprise on his face and felt pleased before nodding as he spoke again, liking the way he said her name. She was a bit surprised herself when he hugged her before hugging him back for a brief moment then watching him walk away. With a chuckle, she shook her head and turned just as her phone chimed again. Pulling it out of her purse, she flipped it open and saw it was indeed Sara who was looking for her. With a grin, she started back tracking while she sent a quick text to her friend, happy knowing that she'd be seeing Dresden again at the beach party.

{Later....lol}

Dresden parked his friends truck he had borrowed in a parking lot right at the beach front, they had been lucky enough to arrive when there were open spots. His friends Keith and Jason were helping him unload the stuff for the beach and carrying it down. "So man, I heard you ran into Angel the other day." Keith said to Dresden. Dresden looked at him curiously. "Yeah what of it?" he asked him. He didn't know how Keith could've heard it, he guessed Angel must have talked to her friend Sara about it, who promptly decided everyone they knew had to know. "Well Sara thinks that she looked pretty happy about seeing you." Jason added, popping up now. Dresden looked between the two and shrugged. Both of them exchanged looks at his nonchalant expression.

"Dude, she wants you." Keith said matter of fact, Dresden raised an eyebrow at that but looked thoughtful. "I'm serious man" Keith continued. "She wants you bad, she has it for you harder than any of her friends, and ALL her friends like you."

Dresden raised an eyebrow at that. "All of them? Come on why would all of them like me?" he asked in disbelief.

"Couldn't be that you look and dress like a rock star." Jason said coming in.

"Or that you're usually pretty funny....usually, not as much as me of course." added Keith.

Dresden sighed and shook his head. "I dunno guys I'm really not all that." he said, the other two exchanged looks again which made Dresden get a little eye twitch. But before the guys could say any more Angel and a couple of her friends showed up. "Alright they're here! Everyone act natural!" Keith said before striking a Captain Morgan pose on the ice cooler. Jason immediately sat on the other end and assumed the 'thinking man' pose. Dresden just glared at them then smiled at the girls as they came up.

Angel looked at herself in the mirror while she finished doing her hair and make-up, keeping it simple but cute. Sarah had taken it upon herself to do her hair the night before, putting a couple small blue streaks in her hair to match her new bikini. With a smile, she adjusted her top before looking out the window when she heard a horn outside, seeing her friends in a jeep and a scooter outside. Waving at them, she hurried through the house, rushing downstairs and heading out to where Sara and their friends were waiting. "Hey." she said as she approached them, easily getting onto the scooter behind the guy driving. "Off to the beach!" Sara called from her spot in the jeep and they laughed before taking off.

Because she lived closer to the beach, it only took them about twenty minutes to reach the beach. At the beach she got off the scooter and looked around at the other cars there before laughing when Sara came up behind her and wrapped her arms around her waist. "Come on, Dresden's waiting." Sara said, making Angel blush and laugh softly while letting her friend lead her down to the sand while the others followed behind them, giggling and laughing excitedly. Sure enough, up ahead they spotted Dresden, Keith and Jason. When she saw them, Sara snorted and shook her head before nudging Angel then ran up ahead.

"Jason!" Sara called with a bright smile. "Keith!" Breaking away from Angel, Sara rushed forward towards the others, leaving Angel to follow at a slightly slower pace. Sara was dressed in a bright red bikini with a black skirt while Angel wore a blue tie-dye bikini with a pair of tight shorts. When she got close to the Dresden, Keith and Jason, she smiled at them. "Hey." she said gently while slipping her hands the pockets of eher shorts.

A moment later, the group they came with reached them and the guy she road with wrapped his arm around her neck, making her grin. "Thanks for the ride here Ben." she said gently while wrapping an arm around him momentarily and he nodded. "I'm going to find Leon. Have a good time and if I don't see you later, I'll call you." he said before heading off. Angel watched him head off before looking at Dresden again. "So, did you just get here?" she asked him gently.
