Demons Don't Exist! [Seraphine & IWishThat..]

The girl frowned when Autumn easily guessed what she was, huffing slightly as she jumped off and to the floor. "Well your no fun." She crossed her arm's across her chest, seeming rather frustrated until Autumn asked what she wanted to play. That was when she lighted up again, a smile breaking across her lips rather pleasantly. Of course the girls were mostly nicer than Coal. Though Coal himself wasn't actually a bad guy, just when he was seriously pissed off. "Come on! come on!" Reaching out she grabbed Autumn's arm again, though this time her hand was gentle instead of rough. Giving it a tug she turned on her heals, heading to the door and tossing it open once she released Autumn. The moment it was open the sunlight from the window down the hall glowed into the room, the girl giving another bright smile back at Autumn before she stepped out into the hall and motioned for Autumn to follow.

Quickly the girl headed down the hall, smiling and waving every now and again when a girl would pass. It was obvious that all the females in the house were rather happy with their situation. In their world living here was like living with the king, taking care of him and meeting his every need. Never to have to go through any kind of hardship. As long as they cooperated. After a few moment's of walking the girl turned around, smiled at Autumn again. "Fetch?" She gave a bright and rather pleading smile, pulling a ball out from her pocket and showing it off to Autumn. It was one of her favorite games and probably the reason that Coal liked her so much. As he had said before. He liked cats not wolves.

Autumn frowned, and then when she realized what the girl meant her jaw dropped. "Wait! I was right?!?" she mumbled quickly, her eyes wide with surprise. Oh her life just kept getting stranger. She pulled along and she sighed, looking around the halls as she did so. At least the girl dragging her about seemed nice..and hyper.

The girl before her was waving to everyone she saw and it started to make Autumn herself feel a little bubbly inside. With a small laugh she looked at her as she turned to her,"Fetch?" she questioned as a ball was pulled out. "Uhm..." she bit her lip, a little confused. She wanted to play fetch. "Sure, why not..but can we...we get food first? And what should I call you?" she said softly. She didn't like not having names for people, the only names she knew were her own and Coal's, and since she thankfully didn't see any Coal, she was going to enjoy her time with the other girls in the household, or at least try.

He apparently had a lot of them, and she was a little curious to know at least most of them. If she was going to be here as well, she might as well. Images of the night before flashed through her mind and she cringed, not liking the memories that taunted her. The human looked down at her wrists and frowned,"Oh and hey...Do you have a first aid kit?" she asked curiously. She wanted to get some cream on her raw wrists and ankles, that way they wouldn't burn so horribly.

"Food?" Her head tilted to the side for a moment before she gave a bright smile, giving a rather quick nod before she stuffed the ball back into her pocket. "We already had breakfast. Coal told us not to disturb you until our chores were done. But.. i'm sure we can make something for you.." She thought for a moment before she glanced to Autumn again. "I'm Koda. And the Neko that was taking care of you was Sela. She's the over seerer and Coal's favorite. If you ever need anything she's the one to see." She gave a bright smile, blinking a few times in surprise when she mentioned a first aid kit. "W-what's that?" Her head tilted to the side before she glanced down to Autumn's wrists.

She blinked slightly before she bent down, gently grasping hold of one of Autumn's wrists before she lifted it to her lips. Koda's eyes studied it for a moment before her lips parted, tongue slipping out to slide across the little cut's that were on them. Once she was sure that it was clean she moved to the next one, rather proud of herself when she was done. Her saliva was like a healing agent. Autumn's wrist's would already be feeling better. With a bright smile she grabbed her hand again and started forward once again, tugging Autumn along behind her and towards the kitchen.

Reaching it was more excessive than Autumn probably wanted it to be, going through and around and circles down this corridor and around another corner. By the time they reached the kitchen Autumn was probably seriously lost. Lost enough that she wouldn't be getting out of there any time soon. At least not until she had gotten the layout of the building. Letting go of Autumn's hand she headed over to the fridge, pulling it open and fumbling inside for a moment. "Eggs? Bacon? Toast?" She glanced to Autumn before she started to quickly make an easy breakfast.

Autumn flinched when Koda reached for her wrist and her jaw dropped when the girl started to lick the small cuts. "W-What!" she stammered in surprise. But once she'd finished her wrists had already started to feel a little better, tingling slightly in the healing process. "Oh...uhm..thanks Koda..." she murmured softly, her eyes returning to normal as she eyed up her wrists. That had just been weird. As she was grasped again and tugged away she sighed, the house was huge. "How many people live here..." she mumbled, mostly to herself, but it was loud enough that Koda could hear it.

When they finally got to the kitchen she felt like her head was spinning. "Oh...yea..that sounds great..." she said softly when Koda rattled off some food items. The thought of food made her stomach growl noisily, and she settled her hand atop it, frowning. She'd not eaten dinner the night before, so breakfast was a necessity for her. The human stood by quietly and watched Koda make her some food before a question popped into her head. "Hey...Koda.." she started softly, unsure of how to say it. "Am..am I the only human girl here?" she said quietly. She was feeling rather alone about that fact, and she wanted to know if it was true that she was the only human living in the house.

"Has..Coal ever had a human here before?" she asked as well. It felt weird to talk about herself as a human, for she'd only ever assumed that humans existed. Now that she knew otherwise, it was a little strange to her, something she would have to get used to. She lifted a finger to her lips, lightly chewing on the nail nervously for a moment. The food smelled wonderful and she found her mouth watering at the mere sight of it. "Thanks again for making me something..." she said warmly, a genuine smile appearing on her lips.

Koda rather happily continued to make the eggs and bacon, leaving the toast for last. A small hum came from her chest as she did so, it only dieing when Autumn said her name. Glancing back at her she gently bit her bottom lip, looking to the pan in front of her before she answered. "M-master Coal doesn't talk about things like that.." She trailed off for a moment, sliding the scrambled eggs onto a plate before she did the same to the bacon a few moment's later. "As of this very moment though.. you are the only one." Popping some toast into the toaster she thought for a moment, trying to remember if any of the girls had said anything about a human having been there before.

"There.. was one human i think that i knew of that lived her before. She was one of the firsts. The girls.. don't talk about her much because it only set's Master Coal off. I actually don't know what happened to her or how long she was alive for. I just know that she's the reason that he treats us all so well." She grabbed the toast and placed it on the plate as well when it was done, gently putting the plate in front of Autumn a moment later. "It wouldn't be smart to ask Master Coal about it either. She became.. a bad memory." She watched Autumn's face for a moment before she slowly sank down into a chair, waiting for Autumn to finish her food so that they could go outside.

Autumn sat down, smiling at the food set in front of her. She listened quietly to Koda answer her question and sighed. She nibbled on the toast and then looked at the woman sadly. "I hope I don't meet her fate..." she mumbled softly before grabbing a bite full of eggs. She sat there in silence for awhile, just eating as Koda sat there and watched her. What if Coal got sick of her disobedient nature and killed her? What had happened to the previous human girl that had been here? She bit her lip, and set her fork down, finished with the food. The human sat there for another moment before she stood up, walked to the sink and rinsed off her dish.

"Alright Koda..Let's go play...okay?" she said as cheerfully as she could, walking back to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. She didn't have anything better to do, and she couldn't escape for she didn't even know how to get back to the room she'd been in previously. The house was much to large for her to manuever without being there for awhile. So it seemed her only choice was to play along long enough to get the hang of the house, then she could plot her escape.

"How long have you been here Koda?" she asked curiously. It would be good to make small talk and get to know the girls around her. In time perhaps they'd give her clues to escape, without even realizing they were doing it. She smiled at the thought of playing fetch with Koda, did that mean she got to go outside? Fresh air was something she currently craved.

Koda silently watched Autumn as she ate, thinking about the last human that had set foot into this house. Most of the other girls had been here longer than her. Probably because she was the first wolf to live here with Coal. When Autumn came over and placed her hand on her shoulder she looked up and gave a smile, putting her feet fully on the ground and stood. "Okay." Removing Autumn's hand from her shoulder she started forward, leading Autumn towards the back door to head out and to the back yard. The question though made her pause for a moment, gently biting her bottom lip in thought before she gave another brilliant smile. "Since i was twelve. Master Coal saved me from being nothing more than a pet." With that she turned on her heels and continued forward.

Stopping she unlocked the back door, pulling the ball from her pocket and holding it out to Autumn. When she took it she headed forward again, trotting into the rather large back yard. There was others outside, sitting or standing in small groups and talking to each other. Autumn's presence though made them all pause, staring at her for a moment before they started to talk amongst themselves again. "Don't worry about them. It's just.. odd that he's brought you here. They did the same thing when i came along." She gave another brilliant smile before she grabbed the bottom of her shirt, tugging it up and over her head. After a few moment's she was completely naked, leaving the clothes on the grass as she started to shift. Her shift from human to pretty little blond wolf was quick and seemingly painless, Koda barking slightly at Autumn as if to tell her to throw the ball.

Autumn followed behind Koda with a slight smile and as they reached the backyard. With the more she learned about Coal, the more she was realizing that perhaps he wasn't such a bad man. She stopped, looking at the large area that was the backyard. It was nice, but when she saw the other girls stop and look at her she bit her lip. A blush flooded her cheeks and she felt a little embarrassed, but Koda's words helped ease her discomfort slightly. Her eyes widened when she saw Koda's next actions, however! "What What are you doing Koda!" she cried in response as she tried not to look at the nude girl before her. Her answer was soon given as Koda seemingly transformed into a wolf, pretty and blonde. Her mouth had dropped, her eyes wide as she looked at her in awe. The wolf barked and Autumn looked down at her hand. She was holding the ball, and it just occurred to her that she had come with Koda to play ball.

With a small smile she threw her arm back and then forward, propelling the ball out into the yard with a sweet laugh. "Go get it Koda!" she called out as she went chasing after Koda and the ball as well. Autumn was genuinely having a good time, her eyes bright and her smile big. All thoughts of Coal and what he wanted from her were gone from her mind as she felt the air rush through her hair, and the sun beat down on her skin.

Perhaps her and Koda could become friends? Autumn would need friends if she was going to put up with living in the house, and Koda seemed like a perfect person to start with.

Koda gave a yip as she ran after the ball, tail wagging rather happily as she chased after it. They did that for an hour, Autumn throwing the ball and Koda going to catch it. The little wolf didn't stop until something at the back door caught her attention, dropping the ball before she practically ran at full speed to where Coal was standing in the doorway. He was wearing clothes, a black shirt and dark blue jean pants. Though he was barefoot. Koda barked happily as she wiggled before him, like it had been years since she had seen him. Most of the girls that had been outside had gone inside while the two of them had been playing, having chores and things that they needed to do. But the few that were out there went to Coal as well, keeping their distance though so that they didn't get knocked over by the wiggling wolf. Coal gave a charming chuckle as he bent down slightly and rubbed Koda's ears gently before he stood and started to head over towards Autumn.

Reaching her he paused, glancing back at the girls that looked rather unhappy that he was ignoring them. "Shouldn't you be doing something." He said the words slightly harsh, watching the shock on their faces before they all almost scrambled to head inside. That is except for Koda. She stayed, wagging her tail as she laid down at Coal's feet. Snorting slightly he looked back to Autumn, reaching out and ruffling her hair slightly. "Having fun with Koda it seems." He gave a chuckle, stepping closer to her. Making himself close enough that if she moved slightly she'd be touching him.

Autumn had a blast playing with Koda, but all good things must come to an end of course. When she watched Koda rush towards the door she turned and looked, but she tensed when she saw the man standing there. All of the remaining girls had flocked to him when he appeared, but she didn't, she stayed planted in the yard, not wanting to approach him. After a few moments he approached her himself, and she bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from running away. The other girls looked unhappy, and she didn't like the idea of them being jealous because of the attention he gave her. When he spoke to them she felt her bones chill. That wasn't very nice to say to them.

Koda had stayed with her and for that she was very glad, rather frightened to be with Coal alone. When he spoke he didn't seem angry or annoyed, and actually laughed, stepping towards her as he did so. Autumn smoothed her hair down and glanced away, her emerald eyes glistening with fear. He was standing so close to her that it made her skin tingle uncomfortably. "Yes...Uh...We were playing fetch...She...kept me company today..." she said quietly, looking at his shoulder, not wanting to peer into his eyes.

She swayed slightly, her nervousness taking a hold for a moment, and as she swayed she felt her chest lean lightly against Coal, but the small touch caused her to flinch, pulling back and stepping away from him in sudden fright. Autumn hung her head low, her eyes focused on the grass beneath her feet now. What did he want? She'd been having fun, and now he was there to ruin it, wasn't he?!

It was obvious by Coal's face that he was unhappy with the way she was trying to avoid him. Like he was nothing more than the plague. Huffing darkly he ran a hand through his dark hair for a moment before he glanced away. "It's her job." He said the words softly, the wolf at his feet glancing up before her dog thumped against the ground pretty hard. Coal gave her a bright smile before he looked to Autumn again. "Everyone here has something that their in charge of. Koda takes care of security and things of the like. She will be making sure your safe for the first week that your here." His eyes moved to Autumn's face, huffing slightly in frustration until he felt Autumn brush against him.

The feeling made him gasp slightly, teeth gritting as Autumn seemed to retreat from the touch. Stepping forward he easily closed the distance, a hand snaking across her hip to her lower back to press her against him. At the same time his free hand gently took hold of her chin and lifted her face. Moving forward he gently placed a kiss on her lips, gentle enough that it wasn't that harsh and Autumn wouldn't be able to yell at him that bad. Releasing her he took a step back. "Come inside in an hour for dinner." Turning on his heels he headed back towards the back door.

She wondered why Koda would have to assure her safety for the first week she was there? Was there something that could endanger her within the house? This was confusing to her, but she didn't ask questions.

When his hand came around, pulling her close from her lower back, she felt herself tense a little more. But as his hand lifted, tilting her chin up, and his lips touched her own she felt herself ease into his arms for a moment. But when he pulled away she mentally slapped herself in the face for melting at his touch. She bit her lip and nodded in response to his words, not trusting herself to speak. When he headed back to the back door she had the sudden urge to stop him, but she let him continue walking. She'd see him in an hour for dinner. With a sigh she let herself plop down onto the ground, sitting silently for several moments.

She looked at Koda, and frowned. "Switch back...I want to talk...Like how about...What do you have to protect me from?" she questioned, eyes narrowed. "And is this all this was..." she motioned between the two of them,"you doing your job?" she felt hurt, and her eyes were no longer directed to Koda, but to the ground instead.

Koda gave a small whimper as Coal headed back into the back door, tail falling down before she looked to Autumn again. It was obvious that she wasn't happy that Coal had left.

Autumn's words however made her tense, eyes looking down as her ears flattened against the top of her head. This was obviously not going to end well. Quickly she changed back to human form, sitting in the grass totally naked and absolutely silent. She stayed that way for a good ten minutes, trying to collect her thoughts.

"Well.. i suppose what i should first tell you is.. that.. jealousy can make people do things.. bad things." Reaching up she scratched the back of her head, sighing softly before she continued. "I make sure that those bad things don't happen. B-but this wasn't fake!" She motioned to the two of them, scootching closer to Autumn. "You have to believe me. I don't even have to talk to you or anything like that to do my job but i wanted to get to know you. Cause.. i don't have many friends here. I thought that maybe.. we could be friends..."

Autumn's irritation grew in the ten minutes that Koda stayed silent. She was so angry she didn't even seem to care that Koda was naked again. But when she spoke up at long last Autumn's anger faded a bit. So jealous rages were what she was to be protected from? The other girls? Would they really get so jealous that they'd want to hurt Autumn? She shivered, not wanting to think about the though. Then she sighed, realizing she'd probably upset Koda a little bit. "Sorry...Koda..I'm just...I don't know how to feel about the situation I've been placed in..." she murmured quietly,"And after last night..." she bit her tongue, going no further with the conversation. "I'm sorry..I want us to be friends...I do...just..if I get a little irritated...don't take it to heart...This is a lot to take in for me..."

Autumn stood from her spot in the grass and smiled down at Koda. "What should we do before dinner?" she asked softly. Sure, she was upset that she was brought into the situation against her will, but she had to make the best of it no matter what. And if becoming friends with Koda, and letting the wolf girl protect would help her get used to things..well she'd have to deal with it. But in the back of her head she felt a tingle of fear that wasn't from Coal. It was from the many girls that would surround her during her time at Coal's. Would they really harm her?

Shaking the thoughts once more from her head she looked down at Koda and held out her hand. She just wanted to get through dinner, and then she wanted to talk to Coal. Talk to him about her stay at his home, and ask him about certain things.

Koda stayed at the hand for a moment before she reached out and gently took hold of it, using it to help herself to her feet. "We can do whatever you want to do." She gave a bright smile, shrugging slightly as she clasped her hands in front of her for a moment. "We can play ball again or.. go running.. or something like that..." She looked to the floor, blushing slightly before she reached forward grabbing hold of Autumn's arm and snuggling up against her slightly. "I'd really like for us to be friends." She gave a smile.

When dinner time rolled around Koda put her clothes back on, motioning for Autumn to follow her back into the house. Quickly she led Autumn to another room, a rather large one that had a rather long table on it. On the table was a bunch of food, all spread out so that everyone could eat. "Your going to be sitting next to Master Coal." She pointed to an empty seat at the end of the table before she headed off to her own seat. At the moment almost everyone was there, sitting down and chatting with who was beside them.

Everything went quiet however when Coal stepped into the room, everyone looking to him as he proceeded to his seat. "Afternoon." He said the word rather softly, giving the room a rather bright smile as he released Sela that had been walking with him so she could sit in her chair. Which by the way happened to be right across from Autumn. "Everyone enjoy your meal. And please. Make sure that Autumn feels welcome." The last sentence almost seemed to come out in a demand, eyebrow raising before he sank into his seat and started to put things on his plate.

Autumn was positive that her and Koda would end up as best friends, and for a moment she felt like she might enjoy her time with Coal. But then dinner time rolled around and she felt unease settle in her stomach. As she was pointed to her seat she unhappily approached it, sitting down and staring at the empty plate before her. She didn't know what to do! Was she supposed to talk to the girl next to her? Something told her that nobody really wanted to talk to her, so she just stayed silent, at least until Coal and Sela arrived.

She bit her lip when Coal mentioned for everyone to make her feel welcome. "Yea...like that's going to happen.." she mumbled quietly to herself. When Coal began to put things on his plate she looked over the table at Sela. "Hi again..." she said softly, smiling a bit at Sela. The girl had seemed a little nice to her when she'd seen her last, but since she was trying hard to block out the night before, she wasn't exactly sure how nice. Autumn didn't reach for any food, but just sat there. Suddenly she wasn't exactly that hungry, her stomach was in knots and she felt like she might be sick. Perhaps it was Coal's presence making her so nervous, or more then likely it was the other girls surrounding her.

As she sat quietly she occasionally snuck a glimpse of Coal, after a few moments she decided she'd ask him a question. If she got on his good side, maybe he'd continue being nice to her. "...Did you sleep well?" she asked him with a small smile. The smile didn't reach her eyes, but she was trying, attempting to be happy, despite her situation.

((Sorry i disappeared for a little while. I got seriously busy! And everytime i tried to get on i had to get right off!))

The hi made Sela pause for a moment, rather unsure if she had actually heard it or not before she gave a rather bright grin. That didn't mean that it was anything close to a real smile but at least it was a start. The neko glanced to Coal after a moment, seeming rather pleased that she was sitting so close to the male of the house. "Hi." She gave a small wave to Autumn before she looked to her plate once again.

When Autumn spoke to Coal he paused, eyes glancing at her for a moment before he gave a small shrug. "I suppose so. It's not like it was the best sleep that i ever got or anything. Nothing like the sleep i will get the night i finally fully claim you." He gave a bright smile, words coming out bluntly as he continued to eat. He was rather intent on making Autumn his whether she liked it or not. And he was going to make her ask for it that was for damn sure.

"You should get used to it around here soon. This will be your home from now on." Not a good thing to mention that she would probably be dead before everyone in the house so he left that part out. "Koda rather likes you and Sela's even taken a liking to you as well. That makes two on your side, yes?" He glanced to Autumn once again, Sela glancing up when her name was said. The Neko looked from Coal to Autumn and then back again. Of course the Neko liked Autumn. She was human. That was always a plus in her book.

"I'm sure that after a couple of week's you will get down the rhythm of things and will feel much happier here than you ever would of felt where you came from." Sela smiled as she spoke, a slight purr in her voice as she did so.

((It's fine. I disappeared for a few days there too. lol. :]))

Autumn watched Coal carefully and when he spoke she felt herself tense up to a point where she felt a pain between her shoulders. His bright smile made her uneasy, and she bit her lip. He was so blunt. She did not wish to be claimed! She clenched her fists together under the table as he spoke even more. She currently wished to just cut his lips off, then they'd see who was talking. The idea of two on her side made her barely smile. Two against what? A lot of other girls who disliked her, and she didn't even know what to consider Coal. A jerk. Yea..that was a start. She sighed and leaned back in her chair, trying to relax despite the whirl of emotions bashing its way through her mind.

Sela spoke up and Autumn rolled her eyes. "I do hope you're right..." she mumbled crossing her arms. She looked around at the table. Girls were eating, but she'd yet to take a bite of anything. She looked at Coal. The girl had the feeling that perhaps she should ask before she did anything so she cleared her throat. "Uhm...C-Coal..." she mumbled. "I'm not very hungry...May I be excused from the table?" she asked softly. She knew she wouldn't be able to go back to her room without someone to show her there, but she really just wanted to be out of the dining room.

Despite Coal and Sela telling her she'd get comfortable with things soon, she wasn't comfortable yet, and that made her stomach very uneasy. Being around food was making it worse, and the last thing she wanted to do was throw up in front of everyone. Autumn watched Coal hopefully, just praying that he'd let her leave the room. All she wanted was to be alone.
