The evening was cool, the air nipping at her arms as she walked. She'd been foolish to not bring a coat. Despite the month of June, the evening were still cool, almost like it was Fall. As she walked, black heels clicked against the pavement, the only sound in the quiet city. Autumn was wearing a black skirt that fell above her knee and flared out a bit if she spun, and a red sleeveless dress with beads around the swooping neckline. Her brown hair was the color of chestnuts, and it was healthy, giving off a beautiful shine in the dim light of the street lamps. She had emerald green eyes that seemed to almost always drawn people attention, and even in the darkness they seemed to show through. The girl had just left a restaurant where she'd been eating with some friends, and since they all drove together, she insisted she'd just walk home. It wasn't a horribly long walk, so it seemed safe enough.
A cool breeze brushed past her and she shivered, stopping in her tracks as she rubbed her arms up and down, trying to spark some friction to warm herself. "Last time I leave without a light jacket..." her musical voice could be heard softly in the empty streets. The human girl was very pretty, her height about average, with a slender body, just the perfect amount of womanly curve to her figure. Sure, Autumn had boyfriends, but nothing ever really happened with them. Most just wanted things from her that she wasn't willing to give them. She wasn't going to be their booty call, so she left them and went out single. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends, they could flirt and have fun as they pleased, without strict rules keeping her from having fun.
Autumn didn't like to be bosses around, she was an independent girl, who did what she pleased. It had always been that way, since the moment she could walk on her own. And truthfully, she didn't think that would ever chance. As she reached an alleyway she smiled, it was a short cut she always took to get home. Her toned legs carried her through the alley and she had almost reached the other side when she saw a small cat by a trashcan. "Awh..." she bent over, picking the creature up, stalling her in the alley. "Aren't you a cute little thing.." she cooed as she pet the black cat with a gentle hand. Her eyes lit up with happiness as the creature purred in her hand. "Maybe I'll just have to ta-" the cat seemed to tense in her hand and hissed, jumping away from her and running away in a blur of black fur. "Hey!" she cried, her feet carried her to the exit of the alley, the dim glow of a street light making her tan skin look warm. "Wonder what scared her off.." she mumbled softly.
