Life is normal, people go to work, interact with others, make money, and move on with there lives. The only thing is, mutants live among us. Nobody knows when they began popping up, or why they have appeared, the only thing we know is that they can be anyone. Some are born mutants, some were created from experiments, and some have gained their powers through a mystical force, or curse. Some think that they are the next generation of humans, and want normal humans extinct. Others want to coexist with humans. And there are some that just don't care, they just want to make themselves happy.

The rules are simple.
1. Post your character following the guidelines, which I will list in a moment.
2. Don't overpower your character.
3. Don't be a douche, have fun and respect your fellow rpers
4. Also, if you have your character posted, just start playing, you don't need to wait for my approval.

Name: Nick Powers
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Power: The Darkness, an ancient weapon of chaos and anarchy. It gives him the ability to do whatever he wants, just as long as it leads to a bloody ending.
Weakness: There are many weaknesses to this. The main one is the light, he can only wield it at night or in the dark. He is also limited to what he can summon, for when he creates something, it drains his power. So he can summon whatever he wants, but at his own risk. Too much use can weaken him until he passes out, or possibly death. Another weakness can also be seen as a strength at times. The Darkness has a mind of its own, that meaning he can talk to it when he's alone, but it can also take control of him his he lets his guard down.
Weapon (optional): He can create whatever weapon he wants, but he mainly uses dual revolvers that can harness the Darkness. The left gun is meant for powerful shots, while the right gun is meant for rapid fire
Bio: His whole life, he has been alone. He doesn't know why, but he is now the current wielder of The Darkness, he has no relation to the precious owner. His only lead is that for some reason, his possession of the Darkness has made it stronger, to the point to that it no longer passes on when the owner has sex, so sleeping with women won't kill him. At times he sees this as a gift, getting to do what he wants, within the limits. At other times, he sees it as a curse, as the voices of the Darkness sometimes drive him mad. Due to his lonely life, he has developed a hatred for normal people, wanting to be like one of them. The Darkness has developed a deep respect for his dark hate, leading to him having control most of the time. He hates humans, but he is pretty comfortable when being around other mutants, although he has run into other humans that have shown kindness towards him, leading him to believe that not all humans should be hated.

Evelyn had a blessed life as a child. She had two loving and doting parents who tended to her every need. Even when her powers became apparent her parents praised her and called her extraordinary, saying she would do great things when she got older. Unfortunately Evelyn's powers weren't so welcome within her home town. They called her a freak and pleaded with her parents to be rid of her, to save the town. Her parents explained that in time they would come to need her and they would be thankful that they hadn't done anything rash.
Then one night while the family was asleep the villagers set the house on fire and locked them inside. Evelyn escaped, but her parents were killed while trying to save her. In her anger, Evelyn's powers grew and she destroyed the town, leaving not a trace of it.
Ever since Evelyn has been homeless, keeping herself away from busy cities and towns, scared of what would happen to her.

Nick sat on the edge of a building, cleaning his guns. He looked at his revolvers, thinking of all the memories he had wielding those guns. All the people he met, the lives he took, the few people he protected. He then heard growling in his head. "I grow tired of this. When will we actually do something" "I'll go when I feel like it. Right now, I feel like relaxing, not slaughtering people for fun." The growling grew louder in annoyance and finally silenced. "For an ancient evil, you act like a child." No answer. He continued to clean his guns.

After an hour or so, Nick began to feel bored as well. "Fine, I guess we'll see if we can find something to do." He got up and began heading downstairs and outside of the building.

Evelyn walked along the crowded street, her head tilted down to avoid any scrutinizing gazes. She was dressed in a tight, black leather tube dress and matching black pumps, her long golden hair was pulled into a lose plat along her back. She looked like quite stunning, so much so it was catching peoples attention, like she had planned to.
Tonight Evelyn had planned to sell her body for money, the lack of food she possessed started to become troubling and she had no means to acquire a proper job.
Turning a corner Evelyn moved to meet up with the other night walkers who ran this city, her heart beating fast she hung at the back of the crowd, preying that her first customer would be kind.

Nick walked down the street, looking around for something to do. Maybe he could grab a bite to eat, or go watch a movie, or just maybe walk through dark alleys and fight thugs. "Wait, I sense a powerful mutant in the area. Be alert." "I don't see why I should. I don't have anything against mutants." He said under his breath. He looked around, trying to see who it could be. He then noticed a beautiful girl with golden hair and tight black clothes. "Poor girl, forced to sell her body. That can't be her." He then turned away from her so that they wouldn't make eye contact. He would rather avoid being talked into helping humans.

A small group of drunken men wandered into the crowd of seductresses, their voices loud and their attitudes vulgar. Most of the more ambitious girls encircled the men, tempting them with their beauty and charm. Evelyn tried to slink away from the crowd, not interested in giving herself to one of those brutes, but as she tried to walk away a hand reached out and pulled her back. A large man leered down at her small frame, his eyes hungry. Evelyn tried to pull away, but his grip only tightened. "Please sir, I have the right to deny potential customers so please let me go before I scream rape" Evelyn pleaded, her free hand attempting to loosen his grip. The man only laughed and dragged her closer "You have no rights here you little whore!" Evelyn screamed and began to struggle, his free hand starting to fondle her form and press her against him.

Nick continued walking until he heard a struggle. He looked out of the corner of his eye. That girl he saw earlier was struggling to fight off a drunk man. "I knew she wasn't the mutant." "But you want to help her, don't you? I know you've had a soft spot for pretty women. Help her if you want, as long as I get to have my fun with that brute." Nick went to a dark alley, and summoned The Darkness. A large black tentacle appeared from the shadows and lunged for the drunk. It wrapped itself around the man and pulled him into the shadows. A second tentacle, this one with a serpent head, appeared from the shadows, and attacked the man. In a matter of moments, the man was dead and blood was splattered on the walls.

As the man was dragged to the ground his grip on Evelyn tightened and he dragged her into the darkness of the alleyway with him. Evelyn screamed with all her might as she watched the man die before her eyes. She scrambled to her feet and pressed herself up against a near by wall, her hands covering her mouth as tears rolled down her cheeks. Evelyn starred down at the man's lifeless body, her knees shaking "Oh please, have mercy" She whispered into the dark.

As the serpent devoured the man's heart, it looked at the girl. "I just love when they scream in fear like that. I find it cute." The dark being went back into the shadows, with a sinister laugh. Nick approached the girl and stuck out his hand. "Are you alright?" He looked at her, seeing how terrified she was made him feel a little sorry for her. He never intended to drag her along with the man. All he wanted to do was to get rid of the drunk, but now he has to make sure she won't be traumatized.

The girl slowly slid down the wall to sit upon the ground, her hands covering her ears as a sinister voice filled her head. Before the man came to close to Evelyn the ground trembled and slowly thick, brown roots emerged from the cracks in the concrete and encircled her in a sort of cocoon, hiding her fragile form from sight.

Nick to a step back as he saw the cocoon form around the girl. "Hmmm, so she was the mutant." "That makes it all the more enjoyable to watch her cringe in fear, knowing that these mighty mutants can cower before my power." "What confuses me is why she didn't defend herself." Nick felt a little more relaxed knowing he was with another mutant. He moved closer to the cocoon and carefully put his hand on it. "Hey, it's ok. I'm not going to hurt you." He was ready to jump away and defend himself, in case she became hostile towards him.

"You didn't have to kill him" A weak voice sounded from the inside of the cocoon "He was innocent... Just a little drunk". The roots slowly fell away and a pair of bright blue eyes starred up at the man, her bottom lip trembling. "Are you like me? Are you a mutant?" Evelyn asked, her arms wrapped tight around her chest.

Nick looked at her, he saw her blue eyes through the roots. "Yes, I'm like you. A mutant" The Darkness took the form of a small goblin and approached the two. "That was fun, let's find someone else to kill." Nick glared at the little darkling. "Ignore that, that's unfortunately part of my power. I'm sorry you had to witness what I did. I didn't mean to drag you into it."

Evelyn quickly got to her feet as the goblin approached, her eyes wide as she looked to Nick then the goblin then back again. "It... It's okay.... You were only trying to help" Out on the street she could hear the party getting louder and she hung her head, her arms wrapping tightly against her chest "Thank you for saving me, but I should go...Good Bye" Evelyn quickly turned around on her heels and walk backed to the crowd of ladies who were still trying to make their move on the men.

Nick watched as she ran back into the crowd, not even telling him her name. "Bye" He said, knowing she wouldn't hear him. Wow, and I thought I was heartless, but she just dropped you like that. The darkling started to laugh. Nick got annoyed and kicked it into the shadows. "If that's all you're going to do, then I'd rather be alone. Besides, I don't care. If she wants to go back to that crowd, then let her." The darkling jumped onto Nick's shoulder. "You know you want to say something to her. She was cute. A little too innocent for my taste, but could work for you." Nick pull out a revolver and shot the darkling off his shoulder. "I told you to quit it."

Nervously Evelyn looked back to the alleyway, her hands fidgeting nervously as she tried to blend back in with the crowd. She knew it was rude just to run away like that and she felt terrible, but Evelyn was desperate to make sure no one would ever know of her powers again.
Evelyn tried to smile and show off her body to potential customers, but not matter what she did her attention would always return to the alleyway. Frustrated Evelyn shook her head, she needed money, that was much more important then chasing after others like her.

The darkling got back up and approached Nick. "Foolish boy. You know you can't kill me." It laughed as it began eating the remains of the drunk. "I know. If I could, I would've done it long ago." He put his revolver away, and sat down for a moment. "You know that's a lie. You wouldn't be able to have all of this power. The ability to do pretty much whatever you want." "Yea, at the cost of my life. Every time I use those powers, I feel tired and weak, I nearly died when I over did it. Not to mention you talking. If you didn't talk, then this would be livable." He looked into the crowd, wondering if that girl got a decent client. "Aww, you're hurting my feelings. If I didn't talk, then you'd be lonely. I know you were alone, for most of your life. If it wasn't for me, you'd still be by yourself, and you probably wouldn't meet that pretty girl you just met." It made a good point to Nick. If he never had the Darkness, then he'd still be in that orphanage, alone. He was never very good at making friends. So although he hated it, the Darkness gave him someone to talk to.

Nick got back up and looked at the darkling. "Lets go." The darkling faded into the shadows and Nick left the alley. Before he kept going, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a wallet. He then pulled out a couple hundred dollar bills. He got most of his money from the pockets of those he killed, so he got a decent amount every now and then. He also worked odd jobs that paid pretty well.He approached the girl and held out the money. I'd like to make a donation. With a smirk, he put the money in between her breasts and walked away.

The girl looked at him flabbergasted by his sudden generosity, she took the money from between her breasts and gasped at how much it was. Quickly she chased after him, her hand reaching out and gently tugging on his sleeve, her blue eyes catching his. "I can't take this money from you, please let me do something in return... Let this be my payment for being your escort for the night or anything else you desire... I'd just feel terrible if I took this all from you" Evelyn spoke quietly, her eyes wide as she watched him carefully. "Please..."

Nick looked at her, and gave her a weak smile. "It's alright, it's more of my payment for making you watch that little show back there. I just tend to be a lot kinder to fellow mutants." He gave her a small kiss on her cheek. "But if you have to do something, I'd like to know your name, and maybe an actual date. Not much into the idea of picking up some girl off the streets."

A dark red blush crossed her face as he kissed her cheek, her eyebrows raised she looked around nervously. "Evelyn... My name is Evelyn Smith and whatever you want I will do it, I don't like taking pity" A smile tugged at her lips and she took a hold of his hand before slowly making her way to the main street "Where would you like to go?"

"Evelyn Smith, beautiful name. Mine is Nick Powers." He said, bowing like a gentleman. He then looked at her, seeing her blush made her look cuter. "How about dinner, or a movie. Or we can just take a walk and get to know each other." He said, gently holding her hand. "Whatever you want, it'll be my treat."

"I don't want to impose...Please, I can pay for myself" Evelyn looked down to the ground, tucking a strand of golden hair behind her ear. "I would like to ask about... Um.. You know what. Do you have a place where we can talk in private?"

"Not really, but we can always go somewhere private. I can easily get a room in a motel or something." He looked at her, almost beginning to blush when he briefly looked down her dress. "And don't worry about paying for anything. I insisted on the date, so I'll pay for you." He continued trying to hit it off with Evelyn, obviously bad at it. He could hear the Darkness laughing inside of his head, enjoying every moment of it.

"I'm just excited that there is another person like me, I thought I would always be alone" Evelyn hummed softly, a hop almost noticeable in her step as they walked along the street. "Anywhere would be great to talk, just as long as they can't over hear us..." Evelyn looked around, nervous if anyone could hear her.
