"keep the diamonds but not all of them. Just make them fewer or they loose their effect" he said, obviously satisfied with the result. Leading her to the limo again, he warned her "you're madly in love with me but I don't want you to play dumb at all." he smiled with anticipation "I'm going to put you in charge of her modeling agency after all" he with an undisguised appetite for his ex's humiliation.
At the restaurant, Lucy was already waiting since Oscar made sure they arrived a little late, maximising the effect of their entrance and it worked. He clearly noticed her surprise at both his new stunning good look in an armani suit and the woman at his arm.
Also, she didn't know the restaurant would be empty until he told her he owned it and it has not opened yet to the public.
Sitting at their table and ordering, Oscar didn't loose much time telling her about the good news.
Of course, he first fakely enquired about her life and what she was up too, only so he could tell her about his own success, making a point she missed his ascension by a month or two, had she not broken up with him.
When he finally mentioned his recent fancy in fashion, he told her he bought her agency which he thought was not that well run and as profitable as it could be and this was the perfect jumping point to tell her about Yvette's position as the CEO of the modeling agency Lucy was working for.
This was quite the coup de grace for, since they entered the restaurant it was clear Yvette was not in the same league. She looked a little bit taller, a little more graceful, her gaze was a little more intense, her nails more perfectly done, her face more symetrical, her breasts better shaped and so on... While Lucy was a model, Yvette was the impossible photoshop version of the profession. The more obvious it was, the more hurtful Oscar knew it was to her pride. The more delicious it was to him.
So, that was when he let Yvette took the lead and speak about what she would do and, of course, tell the fake story of how she met with Oscar and fell in love with him.
