Meh.
Noah leaned against the outside wall of the cafeteria, sighing softly. I mean, honestly... even nerds had friends, but Noah? Well, yeah, he was smart as a nerd, but friends were beyond him. He popped a grape into his mouth.
Grapes. He ate a small plastic bag of them everyday for lunch. Nothing more or less. Always the same. It's all he wanted. His lithe yet muscled form didn't get hungry often.

April walked around the caffateria, her friends following her like puppies. They were her growd for the season, it always changed. It never really mattered though, she wasn't around them to be popular, they were around her to be popular. She knew she was the most popular girl in the school, but she didn't really care to be honest. She was popular because of her father's money, because she was one of the most gorgeous girls in the school and because she was genuinly a nice person. She was 5'8 and one of the few foxes in school. She had a gentle voice and caring eyes. Everyone seemed to like that about her.

As the lunch bell rang April headed outside and to her car. Thanks to doing so good in her classes she was only a half-time student. Two classes and then she went home for the day. As she went to unlock her car and get in someone grabbed her from behind. She had only managed to scream for a mere second before a cloth filled with cloraform was placed over her mouth. She quickly passed out and went limp in the man's arms, unsure of anyhting else that was going on.

The bear holding her smirked, lugging her into a car.
--
April would wake up to find herself tied up in the back of a car.
"I see you are finally awake," the bear said, chuckling.
"My boss wants a word with your father.
Your the only way to-"
Everything blurred. Outside the car, there was a loud POP! as all the tired blew out. The bear went limp, a dart stuck in his throat. The door next to April was thrown open, a switchblade tearing off the ropes she was in. Someone with a white mask, white gloves, long black pants ad a pitch black hoodie helped April out of the car.
"If you want to live, follow me," he said, going towards his motorcycle. Ezekial knew more would cone soon.

April groggily opened her eyes and searched the area she was in. Sadly, still a bit foggy, she couldn't make much out, but maybe that was because there wasn't much to make out. She could see that she was in the back of a vehicle of some sort. She saw the bear but what she saw after that was mind blowing.

One second the bear was talking about how someone needed to talk to her and the next he was dead. Her eyes were still so fuzzy and hard to see everything clearly, she barely saw the knife cut her ropes. She felt herself fall forward, her hands reaching out the man in front of her. She caught herself, her face in the man's chest for a moment. She took a deep breath in before sitting up, the most amazing scent filling her nose. Her ears perked up greatly at the smell, she knew she'd never forget.

She listened to his words, and while cliche, she knew she had to follow him. She got out of the vehicle, struggling to stand up right or even walk straight. Finally making it to his bike she sat on it behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. She was filled with a rush of fear and adrenaline, having never been on a motorcycle before she was nervous. But now wasn't the time to argue! He'd saved her life, she saw no reason why he'd but it in danger after that.

She laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes and breathing deeply. His scent filled her nose and calmed her some how. Somehow, she knew she was safe now.

Ezekial kicked The kick stand up and took off. Not moments later did police arrive on the scene, but they didn't bother pursuing Ezekial. They knew what he was doing.
--
Ezekial stopped in front of April's home, letting her off.
"Stay safe," he said quickly, and without another word, took off. Ezekial disappeared around the corner with his motorcycle, gone.

Ezekial switched down another corner once into town, pulling off the mask and gloves, pulling back his hood on an empty street. Noah sighed softly and rolled his head around his shoulders, his muzzle bent into a slight smirk.
You've done it again, Noah, he told himself in his thoughts. He took off towards home, pullin into the garage and shutting it.
He went inside, dumping the keys on the counter. His father was nearly never home since he was a cop, and his mom...
Let's just say his mom was no longer with them.

April held onto him tightly, trying not to look at the scenerie pass them by so quickly. If she looked she knew she'd be sick. When they finally stopped she looked up at where they were and saw that it was her house. Momentarilly she wondered how he'd known, but then again, who didn't know where she lived? Such was the life of the most popular kid in school. When she looked in the driveway she realized her car was still at school and felt her stomach drop. She'd have to find a ride or walk - that was going to be interesting.

She got off his bike after taking one last inhale of his delicious scent, she barely heard him tell her to be safe. "ok...." she mumbled quietly, trying to look at the man's face. Sadly, he left too fast for her to see. She let out a heavy sigh and walked inside. She didn't bother yelling to say she was home, the only people who would hear were paid to care. April's parents were normally away, that's just how it was. They were busy with work, busy with clients.... busy with people who mattered more than her. It was sad really, she didn't want all the popularity at school; she just wanted her parents to actually see her. That would never happen though.

She headed upstairs to her room, tired from her busy afternoon. Time for a shower and then bed. Hopefully tomorrow would be a better day.

--<Woohoo! Next day!>
Noah closed his locker, scrambling the combo before slinging his pack over his shoulder. He crinkled his nose a little, feeling a bit congested today. Eh, probably just a small cold; no biggie.
He traced down the hall. It was still before first period, he had a good fifteen minutes or so.

And nothing to do. He leaned up against a wall and closed his eyes, listening to his surroundings. The wolf was almost asleep.

April made it to school the next day and with time to spare. She smiled at her "friends" and walked to her locker. No one knew what happened, no one at all. She got kidnapped from the parking lot, her car was here over night, and no one knew! No one cared.

She got her stuff for her first class and walked down the hall. She passed student after student, smell after smell. It was just like any other day. Until she passed a scent she recognized. It stopped her dead in her tracks. She knew that smell. Instantly she stopped and looked around, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

She stood there and looked until the bell rang, bringing her back to Earth. She headed to her class and sat down. Trying to focus as the lesson started.

Noah watched April stop and grew a tad edgy, retreating to first period. He mentally cursed when he noticed he actually was in the same class as her. And didn't sit far from the fox, for that matter. This could turn out...
interesting.

He pulled out a notebook and pen and focused his attention to the lesson, trying his hardest not to draw her attention, though you can't really mask your own scent.

A few minutes passed and she was doing good at focusing, until the smell hit her again. It was almost intoxicating. She looked around trying to pin point where it was coming from, but like before, it was impossible with all the other smells in the room. She knew it was a guy who saved her yesterday, despite the drowsiness, she knew from when she held onto him on the bike. So that ruled out have her classmates.

She continued to look around trying to remember what his face looked like. It was hard because he'd been been wearing a mask and hoodie, but she knew she'd get it. That was her goal today. She spent the entire rest of the class trying to memorize the faces she'd seen there, she knew it had to be one of them. And when the bell rang she lingered a moment, trying to see when the smell dissipated in relation to who left.

She was one of the last to leave, the smell still in her nose. She headed to her second class, her heart heavy. She needed to find this man, she had to. She had to thank him. She had to know him, she didn't know why, but she had to. She sat in her second class and tried to focus. The smell didn't follow her, which ruled out half of the guy that were in her last class. There were only a handful it could be. She spent her entire class period trying to figure out who it could. She was so deep in thought the bell signalling the end of class, made her jump. She sighed and headed to her third class. The day was almost over, how long would it take her to find him?

Noah was already there in third period. He hadn't been able to keep focused all day with April on his ass. What would happen if everyone found out who he was? He would become swarmed by others the rest of his life. And he honest to God hated that notion. He wanted a private life where he could run his ventures from his room and exclude himself from the world that had always excluded him.

He cursed mentally as he saw April walk into the classroom. Damnit, that meant it was only him and her for the moment.... until everyone else stormed in behind April.
Bunch of damn leeches, they are, he thought to himself. Sucking popularity off of her. It isn't right.

The second April got into her third period class that same smell hit her. When she looked around she saw who he was. It had to be him, he was the only one who was here. She ignored the people who came in after her, not caring about them at the moment. She walked across the room and sat behind him. She sighed softly, his scent filling her nose and relaxing her instantly. It was definitely him.

Despite trying to focus she failed horribly the entire class. At the end of the class she got up and handed her work in, slipping a not onto his desk at she took her seat again. "We need to talk, alone. Please." With that she waited for the bell. Staying in her seat, hoping he didn't just walk out.

Noah groaned softly.
Goddamnit...

When the bell rang, he had no choice but to wait just outside the classroom for April. If he didn't, who knows how long she might stalk him.

April headed out of the class after him, stopping in front of him when she saw him outside the door. "Walk to me my car?" she asked in a small, quiet voice. He was so much taller than her but she couldn't see much of his body build. She didn't know why but she wanted to hug him. She wanted to hug him so badly it hurt. But she knew she couldn't at this point. She had to make sure that he knew she didn't want to cause him any harm. She didn't want to threaten him in any way.

Noah nodded, not making much of any other response. He walked at her side, until they reached the parking lot. He walked her to her car and stopped beside it, looking at her.
"Alright, I know you know."
Frankly, she made him more nervous than a shotgun point blank. Which he knew FTP
experience.

She walked with him silently, ignoring the looks from others as she did so. Once at her car she stopped and looked at him. She knew that he knew why she asked him out here, his words only confirmed that. But by that time she couldn't hold it in any longer. She jumped up on her tippie-toes and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. "Thank you... Thank you so much.." she whispered in a small shaky voice. She didn't know what else to say, she owed him her life. Gently she sobbed on his shoulder, not caring if her hugged her back or even if he acknowledged her appreciation. It didn't matter right now. Would it hurt later? Hell yea it would. But right now she was breaking down.

Noah blinked, before slowly wrapping his arms around the fox. He nodded softly.
"Your welcome," the wolf whispered, holding her to his body, trying to comfort her.
"How about I bring you over to my house until you settle down a bit, okay?"

April nodded but didn't let go of him for a few more minutes. When she finally did she whipped her eyes clean and got in her car. She buckled up and waited for him to get in the car. Once he was in the car she followed his directions to where she was to go, but said nothing. She was trying to think, but it was hard. His scent was everywhere. It filled her car and made it easier for her to breath.

By the time they got to his house she was calm and breathing just fine, but when she got out and looked at him she felt like breaking down again. She bit her lower lip and crossed her arms over her chest nervously, walking up beside him and waiting for him to start walking.

Noah walked up to his home, letting her in the front door.
Of course no one was home. No one was really ever home. His father was too busy nowadays with policework, and his mom?
Let's just say she wont be back.
Noah shut the door behind him and looked at April.
"You okay?"
He could see how she looked on the verge of crying again.

April followed him into the hose but didn't really look around. She was too busy trying not to cry. She finally turned and looked at him, she nodded a yes, but the tears that rolled down her cheeks screamed no. She didn't know why she was still crying, she thought she'd gotten this all out of her system the night before. But apparently she was wrong.

Without thinking she lunged forward at him again, her arms around his neck right away. She buried her face in the crook of his neck and sobbed. She was in no position to move from that spot any time soon. If he wanted to move he'd have to move her himself. She wanted to keep thanking him, she wanted to tell him how much she appreciated what he did for her. Never had someone kidnapped her before. It scared the hell out of her, more than she thought anything had ever scared her.

Noah stumbled back a little as she lunged at him, but held his footing. He laced his arms around her hips again, holding April close as she sobbed into his neck. He buried his muzzle in her hair and held her tight.
"Nothing like that will ever happen to you again. I promise."

April shook her head "Why did you save me?" she whispered. "I've never talked to you, never paid any attention... but you saved me...." it made no sense to her and despite his promise she couldn't calm down. Why would he save her a second time? Because she cried on his shoulder and he felt bad for her? She didn't want that. What would he do? Follow her around just so he could keep his promise? She didn't want that either! She wanted him to be around because he wanted to be around her. Not because of some promise and certainly not because of her popularity.

She didn't know him, or even his name, but she felt so safe around him. His scent filled her nose and calmed her. But she still felt bad. "I don't even know you're name..." she mumbled pathetically. She knew nothing about him, but yet, she knew that she wanted to. She didn't want the safe feeling she had to ever dissipate or leave her. She knew that there was a great chance this would all end badly, but right now she didn't care.

Noah looked at April.
"I saved you because that is what I do. I make sure nothing goes wrong in this city. It's my
job."
He sighed softly.
"And that's why I distance myself from everyone. So no one finds out that Ezekial is me. Noah. I guess... you found out though, huh?"
"My name's Noah," he said, but he said it as if his name was a bad thing.

April nodded, it made sense that he just saved her cause it's his job to save everyone. She knew she wasn't anything all that special so it was kind of comforting. When he sighed she looked up at him. He... wanted to be alone. So she would never have what she felt she wanted. He wanted to live life alone and she ruined that. She didn't know what to do. Her mind began to panic as she thought of how to respond to everything, but she came up blank. So she just spoke what came to her.

"I'm sorry Noah... I shouldn't have seeked you out... but... I don't know.. it was more than just needing to tell you how much I appreciated what you did. You're scent..." she sighed trying to figure out how to explain it. "I feel safe whenever I smell it. I know, that's gotta sound weird, but it's true. I don't know how else to explain it. It's just......" she tried searching for the words to explain but nothing would come to her. Nothing at all.

Frustrated she growled under her breath and went up to her tippie-toes and kissed him for a long moment, looking up at him when she finally pulled away. She stared at his eyes, searching for some kind of response. It had been her only way to explain and even then she didn't know if it explained it right or not.

Noah nodded in understanding.
"It's-"
He nearly shoved her away when she kissed him, but stopped himself. That would only hurt his situation. He clammed up before kissing back softly for a moment, blushing softly through his fur.
"I... I... I should be the one who's sorry. I left you without explanation. And... yeah. I could expect no less from you to feel safe around the guy who shoots like a U.S. sniper and fights like a ninja."
