Wild Cat (Sheiba and Skyler)

Selphe looked fairly discouraged by Kagura, cringing a little as she backed off.
"It's okay, I understand," she said.
She walked past Johnathan and gave him a good slug to the shoulder. He rubbed the spot.
"What was that for?" he hissed at her.
"For treating her so-"
"Oh, come off it. Ive only just brought her home."
Selphe sighed and looked over at Kagura. She approached again, so she dare.
"What's wrong? Need something?" she asked. She really couldn't tell what the hiss and bares fangs were for; though Johnathan could. He mumbled something under his breath as he sat.

"I don't trust you." Kagura's words were stark and honest. Because in truth, she didn't trust the girl. She didn't her new so called Master either, but she had no choice in this.

"I am not human, but other are crueler than humans are at times.' She told her remaining in her spot by the wall resisting her instincts as the girl approached. Her entire body trembled, though not in fear. Her instinct dictated that she attack the girl for invading her space despite her warning. Since the collars protection didn't extend to the girl, she had to tap into her own self control.

Selphe shrugged.
"I can understand," she said. She sat beside John at the table.
John stood up with Kagura's food, bringing it over to her.
"You can eat with us, or somewhere else alone, if that is what makes you more comfortable."

Kagura excepted the plate and settled on the floor, her back to wall as she watched them both. Neither of them had been mean to her and outside of his original comment, her master had nod made a move to touch her, yet again she'd seen this before. She ate her food slowly, continuing to watch the two of them as she enjoyed her meal. It didn't really bother her to eat on the floor. Her old Master had kept her as he own personal kitten for years, feeding her scrape from his plate that he'd place in a dish next to his chair.

Johnathan conversed idly with Selphe.
"Johnathan, I swear, your crazy."
"How so?"
"You just spent your entire portion of the inheritance on her."
"No. I raised an equal amount working."
Selphe's jaw dropped.
"What? No wonder you chose the smallest portion! And the estate, of course," she said. She shifted a little in her seat, her wings growing uncomfortable.
"Personally, work is not my issue. I live off-"
"Exactly your problem," Johnathan cut in. "That's why your staying here, isn't it? You've overspent and are looking for job nearby."
Selphe sighed and nodded softly. Johnathan sighed.
"Listen, I'll help, but I don't think I'll be able to get you much. I'm a medical student studying orthopedics, not a guru."

Had her really spent over half his money on her? What did he plan to have her make up the sum? Because outside of that she still couldn't figure out why he would buy her. They're had been plenty of other, less expensive and submissive pets at the auction house. She was obviously the most reckless choice.

"Why would you pay so much for me?" She finally asked interrupting their conversation. "The price was a lot more than I am worth."

Johnathan finished up and set his plate in the sink.
"Two reasons. One, I don't want to buy some coward who is going to do nothing but attempt to submit to me. Two, I don't want to mooch off my father's money. It would be wrong to what he taught us," he said, shooting a glare at Selphe.

Kagura shook her had and shrugged. She'd never known her father, so the concept of doing something to spite him made little since to her. She could however respect his desire for something that would fight. She stood and placed her dish in the sink before slipping from the kitchen. She took a deep breath, sniffing out his bedroom and looking around before stretching out. She hadn't been told she couldn't change so the collar wouldn't prevent her from doing it. Dropping to all fours, she stretched and shifted, turn into a large black panther. She jumped onto his bed and settled down, closing her eyes for a nap.

Selphe slugged Johnathan across the face as she left.
"Hey, what was that-"
"You didn't even tell her!" she said in a hushed whisper.
"What, that I'm a demon? So? I haven't gotten out of hands in years, Selphe. You know I can control myself," he replied quietly.
Selphe sighed.
"Johnathan, I swear to God, you hurt her too badly and I will have your ass."
Johnathan rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, Selphe. Just, go sleep or something. Its 9:30 PM."
"So? That's not very- oh, right... night," she said, picking up his hint. He wasn't in a talking mood. She walked off to find somewhere to sleep.
Johnathan slipped into his bedroom and noticed Kagura already shifted and curled up on his bed. He sighed softly and laid on the unoccupied side, not minding her there.

She woke up when when he laid on the bed, turning her eyes to him and shifting back to her human form.

"where am I suppose to sleep?" She asked him, looking around. "I only took a spot on your bed because you didn't have a spot set up for me."

"Fine then." She replied, stretching out next to him. It was odd being allowed to sleep in his bed when he hadn't touched her. Even if he had it was more common for her to be sent back to her cage for the night. This would take some getting use to.

Johnathan smiled a little before falling asleep.
--<Next morning> [Saturday]
Johnathan had been up bright and early. He was making breakfast downstairs as he let his pet sleep. He was making pancakes. Selphe still hadn't awaken; she had always been a heavy sleeper.

Stretching out, Kagura woke again when she felt Johnathan leave the bed. Since he didn't order her up, however, she remained in bed, simply enjoying the chance to relax until she smelled food cooking from downstairs, She lept from the bed, stretching out and heading downstairs into the kitchen.

"Good Morning." She greeted him, pushing herself up to sit on one of the counters.

"Morning," he said, turning off the stove as he finished.
"Selphe! Get your lazy arse out of bed! Breakfast!"
There was a thump and a rather loud groan from somewhere upstairs. Johnathan smirked.
"Sleep okay?" he asked as he set the table for breakfast.

"Yes...fine." She answered, watching as he set the table. Her ears perked when she heard him call Selphie. She didn't go feral as she had the night before, but her ears dropped back again, resting against her head. She tried simply reminding herself that he was a demon too. The fact that he hid it didn't change that fact.

Selphe groaned as she walked into the kitchen. There was a bruise on her forehead.
Johnsthan couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Selphe narrowed her eyes and glared at him.
"What's so funny?"
"That bump on your forehead! The one you got from deciding to go bed diving."
Selphe growled at Johnathan, but simply harrumphed, grabbed her food, and went back to her room.
"Someone's grumpy," he said as he sat down at the table.

She watched the entire exchange from her perch on the counter. Once Selphie left she took to her previous spot on the floor, settling her plate in her lap and eating quietly.

She looked up at him, pausing with her fork mid way to her mouth before letting it fall back to her plate. She stood and took a seat at the table, shifting rather uncomfortably.

"I.... I am not used to this." She admitted finally, looking up at him. "The way you treat me is different from my past experience. I expected you to have turned on me by now."

Johnathan took a bite of his food and looked over at her.
"It's because they bought you to be their slave. I didn't."
"I wouldn't hurt you unless I absolutely had to, like if you jumped me first. I'm not one to just gather pleasure from randomly torturing those just to gain a feeling of dominance."

"People who do that are cowards."

"I don't understand you. If you didn't buy to be a slave what was the point. I mean i don't know how to be anything else. I was born to be my Master's kitten. Even though I hate it, I still don't know anything else." She ate her food, watching and awaiting his response.

Johnathan sighed softly, smiling.
"If you want to be my kitten, fine. But dont expect me to beat the daylight out of you."
"I bought you because although yes, I am content with my life.. it just feels so... empty. I needed someone to help me fill that void."
"You help me, I'll give you your freedom. Fail to do so... let's just say you'll be staying here a little longer than any of your previous masters."
