nena smiled and said "good, we will start after we finish breakfast."
- a bit later-
nena stood a bit away from rina and said "the first thing is your claws. while you might have human hands, you can still turn your fingernails into claws. let so" she put her hands in an x infront of her face, and then threw them down, the fingernails turning into claws. "you have to focus though. envision your claws in your head, and then throw your hands down with the force of anger. and to return them back, envision a calmness in your head, and they will turn back. it also is not painful, even for first timers." she smiled and added "give it a try."
 
Rina smiled then started eating.

She followed and nodded as she listened to Nena then relaxed and tried to bring out her claws. Within a few minutes her nails started to grow and she opened her eyes to see. "I did it!!"
 
"Very good rina!" nena said with a smile. "but we still have to work on it, you need to bring it out in an instant sometimes, so we will need to train some more. " the two began to practice more, nena showing rina how to move quicker using her cat reflexes, how to sense danger with only the sense of hearing, and of course the claws.
 
nena nodded "sure, " there was a knock on the door, but this time a voice. "nena! its me, josh!" nena smiled and ran to the door, opening it, she hugged the man at the door, he was a handsome man, with brown hair, hazel eyes, a red t shirt and wearing some blue shorts "josh! its been so long! come in come in!" she went back to rina and said "rina, this is my old master, josh grosskurth." josh bowed and said "its a pleasure to meet you rina" he then rose and had a smile on his face, one of kindness and trust.
 
Rina jumped at the knocking then ran behind the couch. She then peeked her head up from behind the couch to see a handsome man. She stayed behind the couch afraid to get near the man.
 
nena blushed and said "sorry, shes running from her master, and... well, shes very shy around humans. " josh said "hang on..." he slowly moved towards the couch, saying in a calm kind voice " "please... you dont have to be afraid of me, i swear that i wont hurt you. i know who your master is, and i can keep him from taking you... please believe me." he then stopped moving, and waited. nena was silent, wanting rina to trust josh.
 
josh smiled and knelt down infront of rina "see... i wont hurt you." he gently stroked her hair. nena smiled and walked over "see rina, hes not a bad person. not all humans are bad. some are good, like josh. you dont have to be afraid around him"
 
josh chuckled and hugged rina "she is very friendly!" he said as he gently continued to stroke her hair. then there was a knock at the door and a cold voice "RINA! GET OUT HERE!" all three of them knew who it was, nena showed her claws. she silently walked to the door, and then she threw it open and attacked the man who was trying to get rina back.
 
josh ran at the man, who was holding nena tightly by the neck, choking her, "now... unless you want to die, GIVE. ME. RINA." josh ran even faster and grabbed the man by the waist, picked him up and slammed him down to the ground, making him release nena. josh stood over the man, with the cane pointed at his neck, "leave... come back again... i kill you." the man stood up and said "you have made a terrible enemy today josh! you will die. and that freak of yours with you!" the man limped off, his leg obviously injured. "come on rina," josh said. throwing the cane to the ground "lets go see if rina is allright. " the two hurried up the stairs and saw rinas tail showing from under the bed. "rina..." josh said softly "its okay... you can come out now. hes gone."
 
nena held rina and said "shh... its okay now... the mans gone... " josh looked at them, then said "rina. i need you to gather your courage. sometimes running and hiding may be an option, but it takes great courage to face your fears, and even more, when you know your scared. and i know... i can feel it, that you have great courage in you. you just havent realized it yet... look deep inside yourself, and find. that. courage." he was trying to help. but had a feeling it wouldnt work
 
nena continued to try and comfort rina as josh said " ill be back... i have to get something from my house if that man comes back. you two rest, its been a... scary day to say the least. " nena nodded and said "come on rina, time to rest on the bed, " she picked her up and laid down with her on the bed.
 
nena smiled at the sleeping rina. she looked so cute. she gave her a soft kiss on the forehead and began to fall asleep herself. she whispered quietly before she fell asleep "your so cute... rina"
