Dark VS Light. (akiriu)

Nathan sighed and walked back to his apartment. He saw her sitting on the couch and he shrugged his shoulders. Walking back to his room, Nathan pulled out a game system controller and started playing. His mind wasn't really on the game itself, but on the deal he made.

Kail got up and walked to the room she saw the game system and then walked into the wall into the shadows one it after half a minute of being in the wall the game system started to smoke then stop working all together. She then came out of the wall and left the room.

Nathan sighed. He just bought the system and now it was destroyed. "You're gonna have to try a little harder than that if you want to piss me off." He called out. He set the controller down and went into the kitchen.

"Gotta start small and work your way up little human." She said with a smirk. The way she worked was to start with getting people annoyed and that easily turned to anger. She had a lot she could do to annoy him. She walked tot eh kitchen with him and sat on the counter as she watched what he was doing.

Nathan ignored her comment. He actually had a higher tolerance than most. His life and past made it that way. He grabbed a Coke and started to drink it.

Kail moved to the fridge and opened it seeing all the food he had. The joys of being a demon like her was that she was very good at destroying and killing anything. She smirked seeing the fresh fruit and vegetables and blew into the fridge. She then closed it as everything that could rot started to rot. She then walked away and back into the living room where she sat down.

"Meh, it was going to expire anyway." Nathan shrugged. He looked at Kail as she walked back to the couch. "You know, if you keep destroying my food and such, you will replace it." He said. He took a sip of his Coke.

"you need money to replace it so no i wont i do not have money." Kail said though even if she did have money she would not replace it that would be helping him. She was trying to slowly get him to brake and she new she would have to find something he really liked and destroy that to brake him.

"Well you're working it off one way or another." Nathan replied. "Maybe if I were to shorten the time you have, you'll learn."

Kail looked at him then leaned back and said "im a demon that kills and destroys and you expect me to not be evil and pay you back not happening."

"You're right. But you think a few broken items here and there will set me off?" Nathan scoffed. "Please. I already went through enough up till this point, so you think a couple of mind games will make me turn evil? It will be a cold day in hell before that happens."

"So what have you been through your just a human right." she asked looking at him. She did not think that humans went though bad things other then what demons did to them though she had no idea if he was even human or not she just assumed.

"Yeah, I'm human. But that don't mean shit. Just because you demons think your the only fear in our lives doesn't meant it's true." He said, disgusted. "My life is one not worth repeating again to the likes of you."

Kail was taken back by what he said a little then said with a smirk. "Well if you wont tell me about it then it must not be to bad your just trying to sound all high and mighty your a pathetic human."

Nathan couldn't take it. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cross. It was old and wooden, chipped in several areas. He held it in the air, but away from her. "I've had enough of your cold demeanor. Just because I don't speak of my past does not make me a liar."

"Oh a religious man." She sneered as she moved away and to the shadows of the room away from the cross that she could not stand. She was indeed a demon so crosses were a big weakness.

"Of course. I'm not like most who don't care about religion." He walked closer. "So will you tone down. Or will I have to grab a Bible?"

Kail growled out as she backed up more and said "ill have fun converting you. You will fall." She then disappeared into the shadow moving away from where he could get her.

Nathan smiled. He finally won a battle with her. He grabbed a soda that wasn't destroyed and sat down. He removed he shirt, showing a pattern of scars and marks. A tattoo that liked like smoke on water spread across his body. It actually moved around, as if it were alive somehow.

Kail watched from the shadows where she would be unseen. She new she had to find a way to make him mad and sin she needed to know what was the one think that would set him off and to do that she was going to disappear for a while and just watch him where he would not know it.

Nathan fought to stay awake. It was exhausting trying to keep from hurting the demon. He would no hurt another person, regardless of what they did. As he fell asleep, he had a nightmare.

Kail sighed as she thought of what to do about all of this. She new that turning him would be hard. She was not sure how to crack him so she moved to the couch where he was sleeping only to notice he was having a nightmare. She moved to the bed and touched his forehead to try to see what was happening.

(He was on the couch ^…^)

He was a child, with his parents. A group of men broke into their apartment similar to the one he lived in. They took Nathan away as they tied him down along with his parents. His mother was taken, raped before he and his father's eyes. Then she was burned alive with him. Nathan tried to save them, severely scarring his face. The men took him and dragged him away, but this was only the beginning of his nightmares...

(opps ^^' my bad ill fix that.)

Kail watched the nightmare wondering if it was safe to use this to her advantage. She had a moment of kindness as she told her self she would not do that but then it was gone and she decided to use what she had seen.

The realm of his nightmare switched. He was now a teenager, about 14. He was in a forest, running for his life. He heard footsteps, followed by gunshots. He looked over his shoulder, a man in a Jeep hunting him down. He jumped over a log as the Jeep flipped, sending the man flying. Nathan ran to the man. He was injured, but was still trying to move. Nathan picked up the gun, a pistol, and fired till it was empty. The man's brains and insides were everywhere, covering Nathan....

He shot up with a start, the memory bothering him.
