Hey! You know damn well that I'm the idiot in a lot of things. You don't have to post it on the interweb jerk. As for the yaoi thing I said nothing of the fucking and leave thing. All I said was people fucking.... fuck the relationships for any kind of porn.

Goddammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You make no dammed sense....
Where'd you even get the fucking from then?
Let's just leave it at the fact that, unless it's a really erotic novel, or hentai of some sort....which is rare.... they don't fuck a lot...

Gay romance as in general homo pairings...or just guy on guy action? Because most of what I've seen and or read was romance....-thinksshemisunderstood- XD
Yaoi and just guy on guy action is different. Yaoi is something for mostly women, m/m is just homosexual pairings. I can't stand yaoi because it makes the setting of needing a 'woman' and a 'man' in a gay relationship. It's disgusting because I don't live my life by heterosexual standards. I can't vote on the poll because yaoi doesn't turn me on, neither does yuri or heterosexual pairings.

Why the hell are we even borrowing words from some fucked up little culture when we have perfectly good ones that avoid connotations like the one Goaty brought up?

Japanophile fanwank? I understand at times there are things where there really isn't a proper translation of a word/concept. Abandoning a flexible language for one which has so many rigid meanings and connotations beyond what you might intend, seems kind of silly, least so I think N_I.

I don't dislike it. I just dislike the attitude that it is some golden land of perfection and all is right over there. Then again, where I lived I got a lot of that growing up.

I like it specifically because it is geared for women to read/watch. Once and a while I do like me some mushy love story between two guys...where their sensitivity and romantic side is highlighted...a lot. I take it as how women really want to see a man act at times.

And I used the word Yaoi[Arc and Nihil] because I was just referring to it. If you take a gander back further in the thread, you'd see where I had a slight convo with Seraph as to why Het wasn't even up there and why Yuri almost didn't make it. I honestly wanted to see how many out there actually like Yaoi since there's some request threads for such floating around in that section.

Then why not just make it a topic on who likes yaoi? It seems unfair to include such few limited options for the diverse topic you presented though. Personally, mushy gushy stuff grosses me out. Gay men still have the qualities women don't like in men. We aren't just magically sensitive ubersweet gal pals who love decoration and fashuns.

lolz... No one ever said you were...and thus that's specifically where the topic of Yaoi was stemmed from. XD And the reason I didn't make the topic as just that, was because I wanted something a little more people could discuss instead of making it just a topic about one thing in particular. Pfft...I honestly wasn't even thinking about m/m because I was honestly too focused on Yaoi being up there. However, if you like, I could add the poll option of M/M. It's not like the thread is written in stone or anything, you can still discuss the topic over Yaoi and the others.

I'm stating why yaoi isn't very realistic. Hence why I included it. It just seems a bit silly to include the japanese stereotypes and not the real deal.

I already know why it isn't realistic, there's no need to state it... And I included it, because I prefer it over the real deal.

I feel the need to state it though, because yaoi is the reason I get people asking me "ARE U A SEME OR AN UKE?" And frankly, that upsets me on multiple levels.

Well you didn't need to state it to me, considering I'm not asking to rp with you, and nor are we on such a topic as to where I would ask you that. Not only that, you've already stated your feel on the topic of Yaoi, and well that would be rude to even bring it up. But I see what you mean, that would be quite annoying if I were in your shoes.

I'm not sure where the rping thing even came up. I'm just saying it's a bit restrictive and doesn't seem to be fair for other people who aren't into the Japanese scene of porn.

This thread is about yaoi, yuri and het. If someone wants a thread including other kinds of porn/stories/mangas/anime/roleplays etc. etc. then they can make one.

A direct quote from iKitten. Anyhow, I'm just curious how many of you here in bluemoon like Yaoi.
And how many like Yuri or Het. Or perhaps you like all three... Which turns you on, and which turns you off, and why? And do you like reading[mangas novels], or watching[hentai, anime, dramas]?
No, it's not just about yaoi.

I said rping as a reference, a scenario in which the possibility of me asking if you were seme or uke could have possibly popped up at.

I agree with Goaty. x_o Though it may not be the same reasons as him, I'll explain my reasoning.

Yaoi is more-so based on anime/manga/doujinshi than anything else. Just like yuri. Even most fan fiction based on anime and mangas that have two characters of the same gender having sex are labeled as yaoi or yuri. At that, hentai is even specific to anime/mangas/doujinshi pertaining to images/fan fiction. When it comes to any type of Japanese words, it's more based on their style of cartooning I find. At least to the English fans.

I've always considered fiction/images based on everything else other than anime either m/m (gay), f/f (lesbian), f/m (straight/hetero). But, maybe that's just me.

*Shrugs.*

To be honest, even back six years ago, I had never even heard of the terms Seme or Uke until recently, and I'm not even looking for yaoi anymore. D8 I've heard of sub/dom back in the day, but that's about it.
