The Emperor and his Dragon

Andol was just as gald as Kehl to finally be out of the palace and walking around among the people. Though no one knew who they where because of the things that they where wearing. Yet still the fact that they where a couple was somthing that remained obvious and Andol wasn't going to try and hide that fact, because in truth... he loved Kehl and wanted to show off that fact to the world. Walking down the cobble stone roads that made up the main street of the captial city, Andol thought back a moment to that 'special kiss' he had given Kehl right before they had left the palace. The way the snake had reacted to it was just so... well needy was the best word that Andol could come up with at the moment. He wondered how long the snake had bottled up his sexual desires. He was quite sure that a warrior like Kehl wasn't a virgin... well at least in the fact that Andol was sure the snake had fucked people before. He knew that among the snake socity a great warrior like Kehl would have never played bottom to anyone.

Yet still the snake had been dragged away form all that, and live with Andol these many years... so he knew that his friend was most certianly needy. Though whenever he looked into his new boyfriends eyes... Andol always came up with the same answer... that it was simply best to wait. What had happened with Varnia had been because he had rushed, and the young man didn't want that to happen again. So he planned on making sure, that it didn't. Leaning his head against Kehl's shoulder as they both walked along he wasn't worried about those people who gave them the look... becuase he was quite sure no one would mess with them. Andol had been very careful to pick out Kehl and his look before leaving the palace... Andol fingured that sinice they where both well trained in the art of using the sword then why not just put on the front that they where a pair of wondering ronin... except this pair of samurais... seemed to be in love. Plus Andol knew that if anyone tried to challege them in a sword fight. The pair could esailly handle themselves.

Andol looked at his boyfriend as they where walking along with a curious look on his face as he thought about what the snake was asking him. He wasn't really sure where he wanted to go, becuase he was in fact the emperor... and Kehl was just naming off a bunch of things that they could esaily do at the palace. Yet of course they couldn't do it and still act like a couple at the palace... of course that was when he heard the other call him by those pet names and Andol just melted, "Awww Kehl, you haven't called me 'little one' sense I was a boy." The young man just blushed and rubbed his face into the snake's arm. The moment was so adoreable, becuase the two obviously made a very cute couple. Yet still he wasn't sure where he wanted to go so he deicded to see what the snake thought, "Well I guess that the market sounds nice, maybe I will see somthing new. Yet I have never been to a pub, maybe we can go there after the market? Which do you want to do love?" Andol wanted his beloved Kehl's opintion.

Kehl's scales gained a slightl discoloring around his cheeks as he blushed. He could feel the young man's skin, specifically his cheek; rubbing against his scales, the friction causing a rush of blood to his face. He rubbed the boy's hair and smiled softly. "Yes... I haven't called you so because I haven't had the proper opportunity to, dear," he replied, while stopping. He pulled Andol close, slipping his as around him. Being taller, if only slightly, he leaned his head forward so their foreheads rested upon one another's, smiling. He closed his eyes and held the boy there in an embrace, his tail's tip snaking around Andol's wrist like a bracelet. He places his cool lips upon the emperor's forehead and planted a soft kiss there, pulling back a little to get a good look at the human.

While they held there, he finally answered the given question without much difficulty. "Ah, yes... the market sounds wonderful. Then we could hit the pub afterwards, and I'm sure you'd like it... there's always something enjoyable going on, so long as it's not a bar fight." He chuckled softly and ran a hand through Andol's hair. It was so soft, so luscious... and a source of joy for the snake, given that he had none. Kehl slowly wrapped his fingers around Andol's hand, smiling as happily walking towards the market-streets. No matter how many victorious battles and parties he had been to; this was easily the best moment of his life.

As always, the market bustled with business. Citizens and merchants traversed stall to stall, examining wares, competing in prices. It was a small psychological war here; to see who could sell the most for the most money. Normally, many people fell for the so called 'curios' of the 'treasure' stands. But Kehl knew the place, and he knew who was a fraud and whom actually told true stories. After nabbing them both some fruit, he gave no fleeting moment to grab Andol's hand and continue deeper. Ducking behind a few stalls, there was a smaller on in the back. The owner looked up, smiling softly as he saw Kehl. Another snake, around his 50's or 60's. He was missing an eye and had a scar running along his face.

"Kehl. How nice to see you again... and I see you brought company!" The older snake chuckled and extended a hand to Andol. Obviously, their disguises were really working. "Hello there. I am Brenol. I run this small stall of mine. It's not so popular, but everything is authentic... different from most sellers." He chuckled softly and spread his arms widely. "Feel free to ask about anything." This is why Kehl had come here. One, he knew the merchant was kind. Two, all around the stall hung and laid various charms, necklaces, pendants, small rolls of satin, everything one could imagine. It all looked foreign and each item was completely unique.

Andol could only giggled at the silly snake who seemed to be so easily flustered... which was somthing that actually put the young emporer at ease. It ment that they where both in the same boat most of the time and he could feel safe that Kehl would never rush things. With the both being so nervous everything would just be nice and slow, just the way the young emporer wanted it. "Well you should do it more often, love." There was a cute blush that covered the young man's face as he was pulled close to the snake and held in that strong embrace that he knew so well. Andol was gald things had turned out the way they had, becuase he was quite sure that had Varnia not show up... then him and the snake might never had figured out the truth about each other. As the snake's tail snaked up to wrap around his wrist the young man just took hold of the snake's tail in his hand in the most gentle yet loving of fashions. Then there was that soft kiss that was planted on his head... and it seemed like the blush that followed just blossomed out like a flower, right form that spot.

Looking into his boyfriends eyes he quite enjoyed the snake's idea, "Alright then, to the market first and then often to the pub." He then reached around to his side and pulled up a bag and shook it so that the snake could hear the sound of money inside, "Don't worry Kehl, I also made sure to bring plenty of money so that nethier of us will have to worry about going back to the palace for a couple of days if we wanted to. Plus I am sure that anything we could find in the market will be esaily in my price range." The young man could only coo when he felt the snake's hand rubbing through his hair. It was tht feeling of the snake's smooth reptilian hand that always felt so good on his scalp. Plus the way the snake seemed to stay cool just made it feel better sometimes on hotter weather days. It was not long before they where in the middle of the market, and frankly it was somewhere that Andol had never been before... unless of course there was some parade, though usally things where never like this... sinice the streets where usally cleared for parades.

As they walked around the young man quickly realized that his partner seemed to be leading him to some place that was quite out of the way. Form what he could tell it was a much smaller shop than quite the others, but as he drew closer... he figured out that not only was the onwer a snake also. Yet it was a snake that seemed to know Kehl and so he wishpered in his friends ear, "Kehl how do you know him?" It was a fair question for Andol to ask. Though in the young man's usal polite manner he extend his hand and shook that of the snake and said, "It is nice to meet you Brenol. You can call me An... Bamre yes that is it. You can call me Bamre." Andol was gald that he had caught himself form slipping up, "Any friend of Kehls is a friend of mine. So it seems you have a lot of nice things around here. So what would you..." That was when his eyes laid on the pendant. It had a solid black gem that was shaped like a upside down triangle and had two dragons on ethier side holding up the gym with there wings extending out away form the center. It was certianly a odd looking piece with a sliver chain that was attached... Andol just stared at it and said, "Brenol what can you tell me about this piece and how much is it. I think that I am going to buy it..." The young man reached down into his sack of gold and pulled out a amount that he thought would be egough and asked, "Will this cover it?"

Brenol peeked over the edge of his stand from behind it, eyes resting upon the bejeweled necklace the the apparent 'Bamre' was so interested in. "Ah, this piece... yes; I am not quite sure of it's origins, since it came in a quick bargain with another merchant, but I can guarantee you one thing. This necklace is 100% real; no fake jewel, no cheap metals." He grinned and looked over at the money 'Bamre' held in his hand, looking at the bag, and then at his hand. Brenol licked his lips, a very snake-like habit, before answering. "Hrmm... I'm not sure if even that entire bag would cover it!"

Brenol began to laugh after an akward moment's silence, shaking his head head as he grinned. The laughter died down after a moment as he looked back up at 'Bamre', still grinning. "No, don't worry hon, I'm not that ridiculous. Ah, yes; that should be enough," he said, outstretching his hand for the money the boy held with a smile. After claiming the money, he lifted the necklace for the male, holding it out to him. "It's all yours. Take good care of it, alright? You know how important dragons are to the emperor are... speaking of which, how is the lad, Kehl?"

Kehl smirked softly. "He's adjusting quite well to becoming emperor... he is a bit shy though, but there are a few people he trust; like me." However true it is, Andol did have a shy personality, but the 'shyness' he had mentioned was about his thoughts towards women. The snake beside Andol probably could've said it better had he been more prepared, but had only a moment's notice to whip up that answer. It seemed though, that Kehl was still pretty quick on his feet. Both in battle and sociality.

"Well, I'll see you Brenol! Bamre and I have some... other arrangements to attend to. I'll see you soon?" Brenol nodded and waved as they walked away. "Stop by anytime Kehl! Good luck to you two!" Kehl blushed softly and reached down to hold Andol's hand. After intertwining their fingers, he wrapped his tail around both their wrists, binding them comfortably. "Off to the pub then, baby?" he asked, smiling to the young boy.
