Nena froze as the thought crossed her mind she then looked around as the alpha ran away from her. This was what she wanted she wanted to be away from Nathan but now that she thought about it she was not safe the dogs were looking for her and her master was sure to be very mad with her and would punish her so she changed into her mouse form and ran after Nathan as fast as she could.
 
Nathan transformed into a wolf and began to run back toward her, though seeing her as a rat, he came to a screeching stop. Amai lowered his head to sniff the rat...it had the scent of Nena. Whimpering, it wanted her to climb up his head so that she could catch up to the others.
 
Nena licked Amai's nose then climbed up onto him and held on the best she could in her mouse form.
 
Amai turned around and began to dash off toward the other wolves' destination. He was riding fast like the wind, he was sure to make sure Nena wouldn't fall off as he ran though. "How are you back there?" He said to her, because of her being in an animal form she would be able to understand him...his voice sounding not like Nathan's, however. It was deeper and more commanding.
 
"im ok. Amai is Nathan going to take me back i don't wanna go back to mt old master he will punish me for leaving he is worse then any wolf could be. I dont want to be whipped " Nena said fear in her voice.
 
"Mouse, you'll be fine so long as you stay out of his way. Nathan may seem like a heartless man, but because of you being chased by those dogs, our pack was attacked...he will eventually warm up to you...he's actually keeping you because he doesn't want you to go back to your old master, he's actually trying to save you...even if he is harsh, alright? Don't let him get you down...by the way, what's your name Mouse?"
 
"Im sorry about your pack i didn't even know there were wolves in this forest iv never left masters house before... im really sorry... i guess ill try to be nicer to him." Nena said then said "Nena is my name. Whats your real name im sure its better then Amai"
 
"I never had a name. Never had one until you named me, so lets just go with that." He said as he broke down into a casual walk now that they were some ways ahead. "This body was never named...the owner hated it and never named it, only used me for when he needed dirty work done...but that hardly ever happens anymore. Though I still do it." He said as he looked at her as he walked.
 
Nena snuggled her small little mouse head into the fur more and said "Well then Amai is a good name i think. I like you and the owner is a fool for hating you. Your so sweet and caring and its something i respect in a animal."
 
"Yes...an animal." He said as he looked around. "Its getting dark. We should find a place to hide for the night." He said as he walked over to some thick thickets of underbrush. Settling down inside so they were covered, he made sure to give her room to sleep in their little bed. "Get some rest, I'll keep watch Nena."
 
Once they were hidden she climbed onto his muzzle and licked his nose before finding a spot to sleep "Night Amai" She said softly the hid and went to sleep. she stayed in her mouse form so she was hidden better then any since she was a black mouse and it was night time.
 
Watching her, Nathan mentally smirked. He was her friend and worst enemy at the same time...all behind her back. Amai would know anything about her that she wouldn't tell Nathan...so things were good. If she planned an escape, he was sure to know first since he and Amai were the same people, yet different personalities...but all one, tainted soul.
 
Nena slept for about an hour before she woke up from a nightmare. "Amai you there" She said softly as she looked around and stretched some.
 
Nena walked over to him and curled up around his paw. "Sorry i woke you i just had a nightmare. you can go back to sleep. im sorry." In the distance there was the sound of howling dogs searching around and fallowing there sent.
 
Amai growled as he heard the howling. "No time for rest, we got to go." Holding her in his mouth, by her tail, he began to dash out of their hiding spot as he began to run from the dogs that were closing in on their position.
 
"Guess its a good thing i woke up then" Nena muttered as she was picked up by the tail and carried away. It did not take long for them to be away form the dogs but they would be able to fallow there sent.
 
"Transform into a human." He said as he lay her down. "I have to hurry up and check on the pack, you will be safe. Trust me." He said as he began to dash off. When he was out of sight, he turned into Nathan and waited for a bit before he'd return to Nena.
 
Nena nodded and transformed back then sat on the ground and waited as she looked around not trusting being alone when there were dogs on there sent. "Amai please be careful" She whispered softly as she sat there.
 
Eventually, Nathan re-emerged and saw her. "I was wondering where you went. What're you doing out here alone? Why'd you wander off? You were supposed to follow me." He said sounding a bit annoyed.
 
"I was with one of your wolves." Nena said as she looked at him then stood up. "Are all the wolves doing alright?" She asked wanting to make sure the dogs did not get any of them.
 
"They're doing fine, they can fend for themselves. Some of em are already at the next checkpoint. We're the only ones this far behind. Cmon." He said as he turned around and began to walk, not caring if she'd follow or not.
 
Nena was glad to hear they were fine and quickly fallowed as she hoped that Amai would not go looking for her she guess he went to the next checkpoint since he said he was going to go check on the others.
 
"Tell me...what were you doing out here while I was gone? You say you were with one of my wolves, which one?" He said as he continued to walk on, not stopping for her...though he forgot about her being in her bare feet...him starting to slow down a bit for her.
 
Nena did her best to keep up with him as she listened to what he was saying "I was with Amai I named him He said he did not have a name so im not sure how to tell you who he was. He is a very beautiful red wolf with very soft fur and he is very sweet." She answered as she thought about the wolf with a smile. "Ummm whats your name?"
