Trisha sat there nervously downloading the IM program and finally had everything set. Switching screens she typed in Got it and screen name is TGirl007. She'd chatted once before with him but it was in a chat room of an online rp site. This would be the first time she chatted with just him ... all alone ... in the darkened room ... just her and her computer linked to him.

Laughing a little, she thought how silly she was. Dumped just weeks before by her longterm boyfriend, she'd sat in her apartment bored and frankly downright lonely. Just for kicks, she'd typed in 'adult role play' and clicked on one of the links. Curiosity killed the cat they say but she sat there alternating between embarrassed and intrigued.

They'd all flirted and she'd had fun but he was kinder about the flirting, not lewd like the others. Throwing caution to the wind, she'd gone back and he whispered to her to download an IM so they could talk in private. Part of her told her she shouldn't but the other part of her was impatient as she waited for his name to pop up in the box.

Henry had been through a few years of being both online and single, his own choice for the most part with work taking up so much time. Chat rooms had become a little boring at times, role play ones though never ceased to have those elements with someone new coming in almost every night. Interacting with her that night he knew that he had to try to reach her more, prompting her to download the im program was just the start of it, something inside of him had been sparked and with his last relationship at least three years ago part of his ability he believed was too rusty for any female to want to know him.

His bluish green eyes flickered and shone brightly as he read the name that had popped up at him, his own response coming only seconds later as his im program came even more to life as he began to add in her name. "Screen name is Hotguy". He was curious what she may think of the name, having intended to change it but not doing so may make her sceptible about his motives which were purely plutonic. He had been in the room to interact with others, make some friends and if something else happened then he would have almost died feeling that it was not the most easiest way to judge someone.

She looked at the box a few moments, her hazel eyes blinking as many types of men flashed through her mind. She was curious what Hotguy really looked like. Twirling a lock of her light brown hair, she pondered what to reply and went for something generic.

Hey there. How's it going?

Henry's bluish green eyes stayed riveted to the screen like glue as he waited for her response, broad smile across his face as he typed out his response.

"Great, How are you tonight"

A little bored but I'm glad your online. Work go okay for you? I remember you saying something was aggravating you.

She clicked on her music folder and settled back in her chair, sipping on her grape Kool-Aid as she waited for his response.

He read the words on the screen and sighed to himself, thank god they had not gone to audio and visual chats just yet.

"Work went okay, Anything fun happening for you?" He was keen to try to lighten the mood if possible.

She typed several responses and deleted them before finally settling on the simple truth.

The fun just started, otherwise it's been just another icky day. It rained here. Ummmmm, what kind of music are you listening to?

He was trying to hard to hide his own nerves and felt she was doing the same, reading her response made him smile widely.

"Great weather for so many indoor activities. No music here right at moment."

*laughing* Yeah right. There's no one else around so Hide and Seek is out of the question. Maybe you should put some music on, something bouncy and happy.

She was listening to Bad Romance at the moment, getting up to dance and sing along ... quite glad no one was around to see or hear her.

He laughed too and could have fallen off his chair had the suggestion been there to sing along to music, not even something he wanted to do in the shower just because he was that awful. With a few deft finger clicks he soon had some tunes floating from the speakers.

"Oh I am sure we could have fun together."

The little blinging sound alerted her of his response and she looked at it, eyebrow quirked and mouthing the words as she typed.

Oh really ... what did you have in mind?

Not having closed the small im window off he read the words on the screen and instantly felt his mouth dry, damn it he thought to himself as he tried to control a few light shakes in his fingers. He was able to type a short response.

"Brb, need a drink."

She sat there bouncing long to the music and typed in KK! Snack time for me too. Deciding she needed a snack, she zipped off to fix a piece of toast with some peanut butter.

He left the small little window open, chair sliding across the floor as he pushed himself back from the desk. Standing and walking casually from the room he wiped his shirt sleeve across his forehead and took a few shallow breaths. Why oh why was he feeling this nervous all of a sudden, taking the small bottle of water from the fridge he finished almost half of it before making his way back to his study. A few keystrokes was all he needed.

"I am back unless I scared you off already."

She stopped bouncing and looked at the screen, her head tilting a little to the side and a questioning expression quickly spreading across her face.

Why in the world would you scare me off?

She still had the RCA dog pose going on, typing back quickly.

I didn't really think of anything, just wondered why you would think you'd run me off. Do you want me to run away?

His own eyes were riveted to the screen as he waited for her response. Laughing he could only imagine what she may be thinking.

"No, actually my attempt at humor which failed."

Planting her face firmly in her hand, she leaned on the desk for a moment. "Gads I am sooooo stupid," she fussed at herself.

I'm really sorry! I seem to have lost my brain somewhere out in the rain today. Not your fault at all.
Nibbling at a nail, she figured he'd call it an early night and block her from his buddy list.

She wished she could tell him something fantastic but it would really be just the same old song, chat with her parents on the phone and maybe go to a movie if there was anything worthwhile to be seen.

I haven't any plans really, just thinking about going to a movie or the bookstore. My tabletop group is on hiatus right now since the DM had his gal bladder removed.

She had grown used to the lewd remarks during games, knowing they were really just trying to make her feel like part of the group. Hopefully the next two or three weekends they would be able to get together again.

A soft smile spread across his face, taking a few sips of the soda as well as a few deep breaths the words were typed out.

"Hope we can share a movie and meal sometime."

"Awwww ... that's really nice," she said to the monitor and then typed the same back to him.

What kind of movies do you like and ... buttered popcorn or nachos?

She giggled, feeling a bit stupid and like a high school girl. It was nice though, to be interacting with someone again. Even if it was on the computer.

She laughed loudly and sent A man after my own heart! Both for sure. Then she worried he'd think she was a piglet but left it for him to respond.
