Her Demon Landlord (Me & dark kitsune)

His answer surprised her. The way he kissed her earlier.. she would have thought that.. he would have. Emily this is the 21st century, just because he hasn't dated doesn't mean your the first girl he's ever kissed, she told herself.

Emily leaned closer, looking directly into his red eyes she told him, "They didn't put me off, I thought they looked cool." It was the truth, the first time she saw his red eyes she thought they were cool, of course she didn't know they were natural. She thought they were contacts. What she had thought was odd was why he wore the red contacts every time she saw him. Of course now she knew they weren't contacts.

"Don't you ever get lonely?"

Emily felt his lips against hers in a gentle kiss. She lifted her hand and touched his cheek, and kissed him back.

She looked into his eyes, not realizing that she had moved closer to him on the couch. She had a feeling that he wasn't really interested in talking.

Damian blinked as she had moved closer and smiled allowing her to be close in fact he had to admit it felt nice to have someone willing to be close to him. He gently set his arm around her shoulder and smiled.
"So how is work going if you don't mind my asking?"

Emily smiled back at him as he gently moved his arm around her shoulder. Demon or not, she had to admit that she trusted him. As odd as it may seem she never felt more comfortable around a man. Usually she was extremely nervous, but she was so curious about him, so fascinated.

"Work is going very well, it doesn't pay as much as the factory job had, but the tips make up for it. And the manager is really nice. Thank you again for helping me get the job." Speaking of job.. she remembered that she now had another one. Working for him. "How will I be helping you with the apartments? Cleaning?"

"Your welcome, as for work for me you will be tasked with anything that needs doing while im working on another project in the hotel.
For example should i be cleaning the hallways or outside and another tenant has a problem of some sort i want you to handle it to the best of your ability provided your not a work, which reminds me do you have a cell phone?"
Damian looked into her eyes.

"Oh that's right, I never did give you my cell phone number," she told him. Emily always had a hard time remembering her own phone number. She got to her feet and walked over to where she had laid her purse on his bed. Opening it she searched for her address book, smiling when she found it. She returned to the couch and sat down close to him again.

"Here it is," she said, opening to the page that had not just her cell number, but her parents phone number as well.

Damian smiled as he entered her number into his phone.
He then sent her a text so she would have his number.
"So why did you move out of your parents house if i may ask?"

Emily turned towards him, folded her legs beneath her, making herself more comfortable. His question made her smile.
"I can tell you in six words. Large family, small house, no privacy." She paused before going into more detail. "I have four sisters, and five brothers. I'm the third one to move out, but the house is still too small for all of us. And even if it wasn't, I wouldn't have any privacy living there. I love my family, but have wanted to be on my own, be independent, enjoy the peace and quiet, especially the privacy. As soon as I turned eighteen I got a job at the factory and with my third check moved into your building. Of course I didn't know I was going to be laid off a year later. My parents wanted me to go to college, but didn't have the money to send me, and I didn't qualify for a grant. Honestly, I'm not sure what I would have taken up anyway."

Damian smiled as she spoke.
"Well i can ensure you will get plenty of privacy here."
He looked at her with a smile as he stood
