Waking the Wolf

He left them alone with the kit, deciding that Fenrir could probably patch up Alex well enough. It wasn't like he'd hurt himself all that bad. He'd just gone without wearing gloves when he probably should have. When she mentioned things from his time he gave her an evil little grin. "I haven't even shown you anything that runs on electricity yet. Trust me, you're not going to believe some of the stuff we've got these days." He told her.

He listened to what Fenrir had to say, giving her a soft smile before responding. "You couldn't stop me from getting close to you if you tried. We're already close." He told her, a knowing smile making it clear that Alex was fully aware of what he was getting himself into. When she brought his hand to her face he gave a soft sigh, leaning in and kissing her cheek softly before looking up at her. "You can't go running off every time someone pisses you off. People do that. Hell, people find ways to piss me off pretty much constantly. If Ward's enough to annoy you that much we're going to have some issues once you run into people who are actual assholes." He told her. He doubted she needed to be reminded of that but he felt like he should say it anyway.

When she mentioned how strong he was he ended up blushing a little bit. "I'm not the one who tore down a stone crypt with my bare hands." He told her before looking down at her body, noticing the torn sheets she wore. "When we get back to civilization you're going to have to let me get you something cuter to wear.

She blinked at his comment on her temper, "Best way to calm Fenrir down, give her something to shred. Or something masochistically dangerous to do." She blinked at what he was implying with other people, then frowned. What if there wasn't something for her to destroy? She shuddered with her first wave of apprehension toward meeting this new world of his. Then blinked again, "Clothing is good. But ele.. ele-tri-see-ti? What is that?" The word sounded completely butchered and foreign on her tongue.

"When will we.. be seeing all of this?" she asked, then looked around at the forest landscape. She tended to hate towns back in her own time. She couldn't even imagine what they might look like today with just the few odd new things she saw in what Alex's group had brought with them. "This might require more hot dogs. Maybe some of those white things. Definitely something to get drunk on," she gave him comical look of dread. She looked at the first aid kit, rummaging, giving odd looks at the band-aids. She finally found a spool of ribbon gauze and wrapped his palms in it, since that was the only thing that looked remotely similar to anything she would have used. His hands didn't look that bad to her, but humans were different with injuries. Especially those who hadn't been raised on a battlefield. Though, she figured the marks would heal within a few days if not less. Once done, she put everything back in the box.

"What's next for now?" she asked as she picked up the box and stuck it on her shoulder like any other parcel.

"I guess we could always get you a job in demolition. Or maybe wrestling or boxing..." He mused, realizing pretty quickly that the former was probably a better idea than the latter. It'd probably be pretty hard to find a human in her weight class considering how tall she was and that most of her height was muscle.

When she asked what electricity was he shrugged a bit before answering. "Think lightning. It's like that." He could have given a better explanation but he doubted she'd have understood it. Electricity was kind of hard to explain without getting into electrons and that meant explaining atoms, something that, in her time, the Greeks had only a bare bones theory for, and it was mostly wrong.

"Probably some time late tonight. I think that they're packing up the stuff now." He told her before smiling as she told him that she'd need more food to cope with this. "Don't worry, I'm gonna make sure you get to eat lots of good food. And I don't think that it'll be too hard to get alcohol once people know about you. I mean, you are a couple hundred years old, technically you qualify for senior citizens discounts." He told her, unable to help but laugh a bit as he thought about that.

He thought about what to do next before answering. "Wanna see something that runs on electricity? Our vehicles are just over there." He said, pointing off more or less in the direction of the camp. They hadn't hiked too far with their stuff.

She blinked at him, "Any sort of combat with human would likely result in me breaking them if not killing them. Breaking stuff, obviously easy."

The explanation of electricity her eyes going wide. It was clear she had no idea how people had managed to harness such a thing as lightning. The rambling of the jokes about food, beer, and senior discounts sort of missed her as she ground her mental gears over trying to figure out how one would even attempt to control lightning.

His mention of the various SUVs had her looking slightly cowed, but she nodded to him. "Okay. Lead on. This, I must see to believe."

[ooc: Apologies on shortness. That seems to be an overall theme tonight as I try to catch up. :/]

He sighed as he realized that she was right. "You're probably right about that." He admitted. They were going to need to find her some job that didn't involve hurting people. He went through her list of talents mentally and ended up laughing. "Guess if worse comes to worse me and you can always become pornstars." He was absolutely certain that there was a market for porn involving the great wolf Fenrir, even if he wasn't certain what it was.

He lead her to the cars and proceeded to climb into it. In case of emergencies all of them had the keys to at least one car. He waited for her to get in and started the car up, waiting a second for her to get over the sudden rumble of the engine and all the little lights that came on. That, and the fact that the CD player started up. All in all, there were worse introductions to modern music than Queen's Greatest Hits. He decided to take her for a quick spin, driving along several of the nearby trails. Of course, it was a bit of a bumpy ride but it was that or take her out to civilization, and he wasn't sure she was ready for that just yet
