This...this could be a problem. Problems were not unusual for Velira Salear. You didn't live as the eldest daughter of one of the two families with the real power in Bellweather without recognizing problems as they arose and dealing with them before they were too much of one to handle. The truth was, however, Velira felt like she was beyond the point of "problem that can be solved early."

The lioness was in what was supposedly an interrogation room, but she had been in several interrogation rooms in the past, and several things were off about this one. For one thing, there were no guards outside the door. She wasn't sure if the door was locked, or sealed in some way, but even if it were, guards were something that should be expected, especially since they hadn't bothered to bind her in any way. With her visibly muscular figure, it wasn't as if she would be underestimated as a fighter if she chose to resist, so leaving her unguarded? No. She wasn't unguarded. They were limiting witnesses for something. She could sense that much.

Of course, the bigger sign that this was no normal interrogation room was Velira's state of dress. Or lack thereof, in this case. To make sure she was "unarmed", supposedly, they had stripped her of her suit, and...very thoroughly rubbed her down to make sure. She had a fairly large bust, true, but they definitely took their time making sure she didn't have anything tucked away in her curves...and then just left her in nothing but her dark blonde fur. Again, not exactly standard procedure to be interrogated. Whatever they set her up to take the fall for, they seemed to want to make sure there wasn't anyone who could contradict their story.

Closing her dark green eyes briefly, she considered her options. She could try the door, of course, but either the door was sealed in some way and it wouldn't open for her, or it would open. If it did, they'd be truly foolish to just let her walk out and not plan for that. Probably just add "escape attempt" to the report explaining why the eldest daughter of one of the most powerful families was lying in a morgue with a bullet in her back. She could try to ambush whoever came into the room and surprise them, but she sensed that doing so would be impossible.

In fact, Velira, for all of her obvious strength on the outside, felt something that she was not used to feeling. Nervous. They had all the advantages right now, and without the knives she usually carried with her, all she had was brute strength. That was definitely something she had to spare to a degree, but she was realistic enough to know that technique could often overcome that, and she knew several people who would happily take the chance to be alone with her for nefarious purposes. Indeed, she had worked with a fair few people who would not only turn on her for the right price, but simply hired themselves out to do something they'd enjoy for free, and could take her in a fair fight.

Bracing herself, the lioness faced the door, keeping herself in a defensive stance. If she was going to go out, she wasn't planning to make it easy. She could hear a faint humming, and she knew from experience what that meant. Some device was hidden, powered by magic. She expected it was to make sure the job was done by watching from a safe place. I'll try to give you a good show, whoever you are.
