Slaughter House (YusukeXKurama) [EDDE x FavoredFox]

A small, innocent hum was Hiei's response. The little fire demon didn't understand that 'all the rest' was what he loved about Yusuke. What made him laugh or his heart swell. The puppy dog pout being turned on him was a perfect example. "That simply isn't possible," he countered as he turned his head and leaned in to touch his nose to Yusuke in condolence.

"Well, you can stay if you'd like, but knowing Yusuke he's about to get rather affectionate. If you'd like to stay and watch, be my guest."

Yusuke returned the light nuzzle, but backed away for a moment. He made an attempt at least, to use his forearms to wipe at what was left at the blood all around his mouth. But really, he only ended up smearing it around, it mixing with the blood of the other demons that was utterly caked on that arm. Either he didn't notice or gave up, instead pickering up his lips toward the fox as he leaned back in to prove his point and make THE most annoying kiss noises he could.

Hiei was watching him skeptically, debating on whether he would. When it happened though, his hands lifted off the beast below up and raised up to his shoulders. "Nope." Woth that one word, he leaned back, and disappeared beneath the long tail feather behind him.

With a triumphant smirk, Yusuke leaned over slightly to watch the fire demon fall and do a few well placed summersaults in the air before landing and taking off at a much faster pace than they were. "Woooo," he imitated a low whistle. "That was smooooooth." He peeked back at Kurama, smiling that big smile of his. "Don't tell him though."

He laughed again, this one sweet and chiming as Yusuke made those kissy sounds of his. It was Shuichi's laugh. He lightly pushed at his lover's chest and leaned away from the puckered lips playfully.

He too watched Hiei's graceful fall to the ground. "Your secret is safe with me," he assured before turning to the side so he could press himself more fully against his love. "Alone at last," he teased.

"Ya know, Hiei nopes out a lot, but i think that might be the first time I've actually seen say it." Yusuke curled his arms much more warmly around his boyfriend and leaned his chin back on his shoulder as he supported him. He wasn't sure when he'd swallowed the mint in his mouth, but noticed it was gone.

He was glad that he'd been able to make a soft bubble for them to sit in together. Although nervousness was crawling up his spine now that that little brat was no longer with them. He'd felt safer with Hiei there for once. Or, at least, he'd felt that Kurama was safer.

He didnt want to bring it up again. Not right now. He wanted to focus on getting the redhead to a healer. While he didnt know exactly how bad he'd hurt him, the fact that he could barely move his arm and it was still tricking blood from under that wrapping told him it was more than bad enough. He'd see it for himself soon enough.

For now, he leaned in and took a deep, warm breath of the back of Kurama's neck from under his hair. Ot relaxed him a little. Because he could still catch the redhead's sweet, calming scent despite the one that tainted it. "You still smell pretty good," he mentioned gently. "I still don't know how you always manage to smell like this."

It had been explained to him several times, but it gave Kurama something to talk about other than what he likely needed to. The fox was a very analitical person. Yusuke wasn't hiding his attempt to avoid the subject at all.

It was so warm, and comfortable, and even with a niggling sense of dange that came from the predator sniffing prey, Kurama felt cared for. Still, the initial reaction to his smell had the hairs on the back of his neck raising, but Kurama forced himself into a calm that wasn't difficult to grasp. "Floral scents cling to me," he answered before taking in a long breath of his own. "You smell..." his nose scrunched just a bit. "You smell disgusting. You should clean yourself up while I am being healed," he pointed out with a playful chuckle.

They should be taking this time to talk, however, Kurama wanted to remain in this comfortable bubble Yusuke had created for them. He decided it could wait. In fact, talking would be much more successful when they weren't both covered in blood. It would sooth his unease and hopefully help with Yusuke's misguided guilt if Kurama were no longer bleeding and hurt.

Yusuke smiled lightly as Kurama gave him the leeway he wanted on the issue. It wasn't fully for him either. He wanted to make it up to the redhead. Puu was still here. So it would be okay, right? If he blacked out like before, he knew Puu would dismembered him if he had to, and keep the fox locked away behind Yusuke's own better energy. Telling himself as much had him sighing contentedly and nuzzling into his lover's neck, pulling him back further into that warm embrace.

Speaking of energy, he smiled and let some out. It was warm and protective, so nostalgically familiar. Most importantly, it was very human, and that made him feel better too. It also surrounded them, because his sudden want became Puu's, and the large beast carrying them exuded a barrier around them as they carried on. Yusuke even felt warmer from it.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled into the pretty, pretty neck. "It's not enough for me to just say it even though I mean it, but I still feel like I need to say it." He pet at his fox's side and chest gently. "I'm sorry I stink, so bad" he added as if that were what he was appologizing for despite knowing they both knew otherwise. It was half-assed... for now. And just so him. "I know that can really bug you."

Energy exuded from his lover and the spirit beast carrying him, and that alone was enough to erase the micro tensions in his body. Having Yusuke's mouth so close to his neck had forced a tiny preen, but dissipated the moment that human spirit energy engulfed him. Kurama felt fully relaxed since the ordeal and sighed blissfully.

Kurama lifted his good hand and touched the side of Yusuke's neck, smearing more blood along the teen's skin, but he didn't care. He tilted his head to give him more room to nuzzle. "I know," he said softly. "It's not your fault you smell so terribly." They both knew what he meant, but he was keeping it vague for the time being. "It's partially mine, for rubbing your face in the dirt the way I did." He would explain better later. That he'd been the initial aggressor. That if he'd just played the game, none of this would be happening. But not right now. Right now, he was basking in Yusuke's glow.

"You know," he started. "Even with the scent, you are welcome to kiss me." If you feel comfortable enough went unsaid. "In fact, I'd enjoy it quite a bit."
