DO YOU WANT TO HANG OUT AND PLAY BG3?​ sooo, i've been wanting to play this game for ages now, and i did start it—once—only to never play it again. and i am sure a lot of you have played through it several times already, which is great! but. . . i am pretty sure that there are people out there who are like me, who want to play it, but don't really know what the fuck to do. but everyone is welcome to join this  cozy hangout  ! so, whether you're an experienced player or a complete newbie (like me)—i want you to come hang out and play bg3 with me (and others, hopefully)! now, i know there is a multiplayer feature, but that's not what i want to do. i just want us to start a new game on our devices and play it at the same time, maybe share our screens so we can see each other's progress and choices!! that's not a must tho, but i'll be sharing my screen so you can watch. ps. if you don't have bg3 (or don't feel like playing it), you're free to join us anyway to  hang out and have a good time  ! it will be on discord. ​

at the moment, i just wanna find out if anyone would be interested in something like this. i promise it'll be cozy and chill!!

the hangouts will probably happen 1 - 2 times a month and alternate between weekdays, weekends, and early / late in the day (depending on timezone)
and probably last between 2 - 4 hours. people can, of course, come and go as they please! and you don't have to play; you can just watch! but the idea is
that we all start fresh and then follow along on each other's journey. someone might be slower than others, but that doesn't matter!!​

i would prefer if we all started a new playthrough, so we could follow each other's progress, but i know for a fact that i am slow as fuck and will probably need a lot of help/directions, so chances are we'll end up in different places pretty fast anyways, so i guess it doesn't matter that much, no.

We can start at existing save file, but I would suggest we start a new game. It's going to be hard to understand anyone's decisions.

i don't expect everyone to be able to attend ALL hangouts!! which is why it'll be alternating between... well, all times! i am based in EU, so it'll probably be mostly during my evening, which is US noon-ish, or around my midnight or after, which is US late afternoon/early evening.

good!!! and yes, it would be nice if we all started freshhhh. even if everyone might not join every hangout, most of us will have some idea where they are or have been in the game.

I do tend to crunch through BG3 at a steady clip, but I also wouldn't mind chatting about it since I love the game so much. If nothing else I would sincerely find it interesting to talk to others and see how they enjoy the game.

Just to clarify as I am getting some mixed signals from the replies; the idea is we all play separately but together, right? We're not using the multiplayer game mode but we're advancing through the game at our own pace while we're in a VC? Just wanna make sure I'm getting this right because I found the actual multiplayer mode to be hellish haha.

yes, 100% correct. everyone will play solo. but we'll 'play together' on discord!! some of us will share our screens so the others can see what progress we're making, but that's not required. some will go through it fast, some (me, i guess) will be slower!
