Hello!

This is an area for Plotting and OOC. Please feel free to ask questions here. Chat about scenes, gush about characters and events etc. ​
 
Good question, I think we should talk about it as a group!

Do our characters know each other? Do some know each other? Are they all new to this squad?

    • I think it could be fun if we're on our second or third week of working together when the RP starts? So we're still new to each other, but we're at least on a first-name basis.

    Also I'd definitely be down to have Jean already know someone well if you guys are!
     
    I think having them know each other for a couple of weeks is good! Let's us get to the first call-out quickly while still being able to explore each other's characters naturally! I'm hoping to get my character sheet done by end of today, hopefully... 😭
     
    I do like the idea of everything kinda knowing each other. Once we get more characters logged, I have a few questions to ask as a group to kinda establish some pre RP knowledge. ^^

    @mainman I think some of your code may have broken, let me know if you need assistance. Additionally, are you finished with this character or still working on him?
     
    Once everyone has submitted sheets, I'll go through them again see if anything needs adjustments, then ask my questions about the team!

    I'm thinking of starting the RP on Friday 8/8( Friday) if that's cool with everyone.

    Mines almost done! I'm just dreadful at picking FC's for my characters 😭
     
    That's the hardest part honestly. I went through at least 5 options for Maddie before I settled on what she looks like now 😅

    I've finally decided on a face claim... Now I have to pick a name (Kill me) Funny thing the rest of her profile is done 😭 Also I'm up for starting Friday! Let me know if you need any help planning as I imagine my character will help drive the plot a little been the lead.

    Sounds like a plan! I have some things written out, for sure, but having that extra input and ideas are always nice!
     
    @Astrowitch Great character, I like her vibe. If you don't have a quote for your character, you can remove that code :) You can remove the code for Character database if you've nothing to add here. Cyberware looks great, interested to see this in action! I like the Militech tie in. They are in everything, it seems, so weaving that into her backstory is neat.
    @mainman , I think that for the first image, a face claim may be best, so we can get an idea of who our characters are interacting with. I like the background; I hope we get to see more about him through posts. The Area in " Personality" that says [What are your characters' likes, dislikes, mannerisms, and goals?] You can remove that. He seems like a down-to-earth guy, not many of those in Night City, so it is nice to see.
    @Anarchia Lovely character; you don't see many from other countries in cyberpunk, so it adds some good interest there. I like how you tied in that she has less cyberware due to her immune system being compromised; that's a pretty cool addition. We don't often see that side of things in cyberpunk. Really shows she is going to let her skills speak for themselves.
     
    Okay! So rolling things out right now.

    I got the informational stuff posted for quick reference on the RP thread. I tried to format it so it's more story friendly because the information for TT is all over the place and it's weirdly pieced together over several wiki pages and in some comic books.

    With that said, feel free to ( gently) let me know if I missed something or got something wrong.

    Roleplay

    I also included the pickups they will be doing with notes, these are super brief and as we start them I will provide far more information and breadcrumbs to the main story line. As you guys can see it's a 8 pickup story line. Will take place from dusk to dawn.*

    *But you guys can branch off of you want to do other stuff during the day.

    I'll be posting on Tuesdays and Fridays as the "GM" as posts allow or if interaction with my character are available. Everyone is more than welcome to post more than 2 times a week.

    Let us know in ooc if you are unable to post at all, that's all I ask!

    I know everyone is still editing characters and posting, no rush we have until Friday and in general character sheets are always changing as info is provided.

    My questions are:


    -Since our characters do know each other or are getting to know each other, what is a place they hang out in Night city.

    -What type of relationships are established right now, if any?

    -How do we feel about character solo pieces. Where your character would go about their day without any interaction with other characters to character build and world build?

    Thanks @Neopyric💜 , Today has been so manic, but I'm hoping to tweak my CS a bit tomorrow and flesh her out a bit more! I kinda wanted to lean into the leader role a lot more so she'll usually be in the middle of the group just directing the rest of the team, but I didn't want her to be a Mary Sue, so maybe part of her character development is getting stronger immunosuppressants so she can get some more cyberware later on.

    I loved your character, too! I kinda like the idea that her fathers death is a bit open-ended, could lead to some off-duty investigation if the team ever gets any downtime~ I know Raven would always be up for getting some revenge if Maddie ever wants to.

    I had the same issue when looking stuff up for Trauma Team, I guess we'll try and stick as close as possible to the lore, but we'll probably deviate a bit as the RP gets going, I'm actually picking up the comic next week so I can read up a bit more.

    Am I right in thinking that those 8 plot bunnies are in chronological order, like from morning to dusk, like an average shift for the team? Or is this more of a general vibe to the overarching story? I hope that makes sense, I'm very tired from work lmao. 😭

    I'm not sure if it's maybe a good idea to have a separate thread for when our characters are doing other stuff solo? Maybe put in world building, or I can even ask the staff team if we can have our own little sub-section within group RP's

    I'll try to get at least two posts out a week, but tbh I'm really excited about a TT RP, so I'll probably be posting more!

    I think if people are regularly unable to post IC it might be a good idea to have a couple of other people join in so we can still go out on calls as a team, maybe explain it away as the missing team members been off-shift for leave or whatever.

    Maybe there's a bar close by to the medcenter, I can maybe make a little pinterest board of some cyberpunk bars and we can do a little worldbuilding, I know the afterlife's nearby but I doubt they'd want a bunch of corporate Trauma Team goons crashing in.

    I'm happy for people to know my character from the get go, even if it's just a boss-employee style relationship, as she would have interviewed everyone joining her team, so happy for that to be a base level for my character but if anyone wants to have a deeper relationship, let me know! I imagine Raven and Maddie might be slightly closer been a Lead & Assistant EMT.

    I haven't been in many group RP's so I'm not sure where to post solo pieces! I think it might be interesting to see them becoming more paranoid as the plot progresses and they begin to realize as a squad that they're being manipulated on some of these call-outs, maybe things have been subtly moved in their apartments or they find themselves being discretely followed home from work... I guess early on it's also a good way to show them outside of work, I know I'm planning to write Raven a bit looser/more rebellious when off-duty.

    I like the idea of stronger immunosuppressants. So if she has a weaker immune system, would this mean she is more susceptible to cyberpsychosis?

    I do have an idea of having Maddie get revenge in some way! I also thought about some of the interactions she would have with her mom, the need to find out what really happened, and that fueling her descent into madness.

    Oh no, these will be spaced out, we will be focusing on one main pick up between other little ones. some of the little filler pick ups we can write out, or just gloss over. whatever is wanted at that time.

    I think a separate thread for solos would be great, honestly. It would keep things organized, and then we can link to where it fits in the main RP in the header.


    I am hoping others will join; I'd like to keep it small as that is easier for me to manage. However, I don't see a probable scenario where our characters will be moving between teams periodically. I had the idea that if any one of our characters needed to step away they just were scheduled with another team, that way the member can come back in at any time and resume their place in team juliet.

    Yeah, you're right, Afterlife would likely not be down to deal with TT. I thought possibly Riot as well. But it might not be a bad idea to make a bar, either; there are a ton of empty locations. I could probably scout out a place in-game.

    I think Maddie is so quiet that people will probably think she is generally unapproachable. I know that she will respect Raven tremendously due to her knowledge, So she will probably ask a lot of questions. I also think they are close in age and will likely commiserate about the job a bit.

    I agree, solos can really provide a lot of information about a character and the situation. I plan to show Maddie just... chillin' reading her lit shards and thinking about life XD
