"The city doesn't hand out respect—you earn it, or you take it."

-Robert Quinn

Character Appearance

Height:

5'5"

Eyes:

Hazel

Hair:

Chestnut with blonde strips

Style:

up in a high ballerina bun(work), down and wavy( off work)

Build:

slim, athletic, equal shoulder to hip ratio.

Madalyn is a slender woman with some muscle definition in her arms and legs from training. She has long, wavy chestnut hair that falls to her lower back in a tapered point, with golden-blonde lowlights that become more noticeable toward the ends. She often keeps her hair up in a bun secured with a clip or wears it down.

Her features are sharp, with a defined jawline, a straight nose, and high cheekbones that accentuate her siren-shaped hazel eyes and long, dark lashes. Her brows complement the sharpness of her face while adding a touch of softness. Though slender, she is by no means lanky; she carries an air of grace, often holding herself with squared shoulders and a firm stance. She rarely slouches unless visibly defeated.

Madalyn does not smile with her teeth; instead, her smile is slightly lopsided and closed. This makes her appear thoughtful to some and calculating to others.

Her clothing is typical. Often she wears black shirts, jeans, jean shorts, and boots. She enjoys accentuating these items with chunky gold jewelry. She has a few BioLED Tattoos, which are of various flowers, and they are white and glow faintly. These tattoos are located on her arms and extend onto her collarbone.

Biography

Madalyn Quinn never had the luxury of remembering childhood as anything more than flashes. An engine's roar, the shine of headlights slicing through thick city smog, her father's voice rising over a cheering crowd. Back then, the world felt enormous, yet close enough to touch, as if the city belonged to people like her.

Her father, Robert, wasn't a hero, but he was everything to her. He worked the underground circuits, racing and fighting, whichever paid more that week, and Madalyn clung to every second she had with him. Most nights, he'd take her along, let her sit on overturned crates near makeshift rings, or watch from rooftops as he weaved through street races.

He died when she was thirteen. It wasn't clean. A crash during a race out in North Oak. No investigation. No closure. The wreckage sat in the garage for months until her mother, Stella, finally sold it for scrap.

Her mother changed after that. Once bright and quick-witted, she turned inward and hardened. She wanted no more risks, no more noise. She went to work, came home, and expected Madalyn to do the same. When Madalyn mentioned getting answers about her dad's death, or even just holding onto his memory, her mother shut it down. "Let it go," she'd say. "You don't fix the past. You survive it."

But Madalyn wasn't wired to let things go. She spent her teens pushing back. Fixing bikes, patching up mercs for a few eddies when they came into her garage, learning what she could from ripperdocs and street medics. Violence was everywhere in Night City. What mattered was what you did when it hit. She didn't want to fight in a ring or race through alleys; she wanted to pull people out of the fire. She wanted to matter.

Trauma Team was the only option that made sense. High risk, high pressure, and no room for hesitation. Madalyn clawed her way through training, using every skill she'd picked up watching her father or studying old medical shards. She kept her head down, let her work speak for her. She wasn't the loudest in the room, but she could stabilize a flatlining patient while taking fire and that got her noticed.

Now, Madalyn works as an assistant EMT with the Trauma team. She doesn't talk much about her past. Most people just know she works hard, and never freezes under pressure. She still keeps her father's ring looped through a chain inside her vest, not because she wants revenge, but because he's the reason she never walks away.

Personality

Quirks

1. Before every mission, Madalyn checks and rechecks her equipment, ensuring everything is in perfect working order.

2. When deep in thought or anxious, she has a habit of tapping her fingers rhythmically on any surface.

3. Madalyn often talks to herself, muttering plans or medical procedures under her breath as a way to stay focused.

4. She collects small, non-essential items from various missions (like a spent bullet casing or a unique shard) as mementos.

5. Madalyn frequently adjusts or fine-tunes her cybernetic enhancements, a habit she finds calming.

6. When Madalyn meets a new person, she can come off as quiet and judgmental. However, this is not the case. Madalyn is simply observing and trying to find ticks that would give someone away as being disingenuous.

Mannerisms

1. Despite her anxiety, her hands are always steady, a result of her rigorous training and natural talent.

2. She maintains thoughtful eye contact when speaking to someone. Madalyn feels the eyes are windows to the soul and, therefore, a way to calm someone who may be under duress.

3. Her movements are quick and precise, whether she's performing a medical procedure or dodging an attack.

4. When a patient is panicking, she often places a steadying hand on their shoulder or arm to reassure them.

5. Madalyn stands and moves with confidence, even if her general personality is quiet.

6. In high-stress situations, her voice remains calm and soft.

7. In relationships, Madalyn is attentive and will drop everything for the person she loves. She also will help them in any way they need even if it means having to step outside of her comfort zone to do so.

Likes | Dislikes

Likes: Helping others, Local food places around Little China, her early morning commutes on the NCART, reading literary shards, and collecting trinkets from pickups.

Dislikes: Losing patients, the frustration of scanning patients for their medical coverage, MaxTac (as they always leave a mess behind), and Shifts that run too late due to incompetence.

Character Database

Madalyn Quinn

Madalyn is a native of Night City, with seven years of training with the Trauma Team. Madalyn may appear serious or unwavering in her position, but she has been known to relax and enjoy a drink or two with her team. Madalyn's goals are not to move up in the Trauma team, but instead to branch away and open her own clinic for the mercs that need assistance and were refused by the Trauma Team.

Madalyn is skilled and quick. However, she also has two years of Ripper Doc Training under her belt, as well as three years of Nursing Experience.

Madalyn enjoys reading Lit Shards; she likes to take small trips out to the badlands and stargaze and has been known, on occasion, to race down the streets of Night City if prompted or for a friendly dare.

Biography

Jean Gallant was born to fly. Both her parents were pilots; her father was a veteran of the 4th Corporate War, where he'd flown a gunship for a militia, and her mother was a Nomad AV pilot. She practically grew up in a cockpit, eventually flying light aircraft and AVs alongside her parents from the home of her mother's clan's airship.
Of course, smuggling has its risks, and when Jean was twelve said risks found them. The Reyes airship was shot down over California by cartel fighter jets, and both of Jean's parents died in the crash. The survivors leaked out into Night City. Jean tagged along with a family friend, but the city claimed them too, and she was left alone.
Six years later, she was caught hijacking a Militech manager's AV, but not before she led them on a merry chase all through the skies of Kabuki. In the process she impressed him with her flight skills, who offered her a contract flying security gunships as an alternative to prison. At that point any way off the street was a good one, and she eagerly accepted. It was at Militech that she earned her nickname--'Genie'--after a miraculous rescue of a squad who'd been pinned down by a bandit gang. She bore it, and the job, with pride--for a time, at least. Flying was what she was meant to do, of that she was sure, but she realized that it was the rescue itself that'd been more gratifying. In the end, the choice of whether or not to stay at Militech was made for her. She refused to fire on a riot, and was 'dishonorably discharged' (fired) from the corporation, with a hefty fine to pay off as recompense.
Fortunately, a spot for an AV pilot had just opened up at Trauma Team. Now, Jean flied an armed ambulance AV. As far as she's concerned, it's the best of both worlds. Now she just have to pay off that fine before the deadline runs out...

Dave was committed to the job and because he was often injured, his spouses could not take it and left him. He had a daughter with his first wife, whom he visits once a month. NCPD had a series of corruption as gangs and corporations had a lot of influence on some officers and Dave did whistleblowing and ratted out some of the people in the department which made everyone turn against him. The group of cops were executing criminals from some gangs while letting some corporates go, and Dave had a recording which sent many to prison.

Life in the NCPD got unbearable as no one trusted Dave and he joined the Trauma Team.

Shut up, load up, and listen.

-Raven 'Rav' Bequin

Character Appearance

Height:
5'11"

Eyes:
Crimson (Kiroshi Optics)

Hair: Black with grey highlights

Complexion: Pale to an almost unhealthy shade, as though she wears her Trauma Team Uniform a bit too much.

Raven is a slim woman and for the most part, unaugmented, which sets her apart from most Lead EMT's within Trauma Team who fully lean into their cyberware. Her dark hair runs down to her shoulders and is poorly taken care of, with split ends galore, she's rarely seen wearing any kind of makeup, giving her beyond 'natural' makeup.

Raven very rarely smiles, which tends to give her a permanent case of RBF (Resting Bitch Face), which luckily works to her advantage as the leader of the team, and quite often, all she needs to do is glare at someone to have them back down from whatever protest they had about their callouts. The crimson kiroshi optics have made her frown that much more alarming.

When off work, Raven tends to dress more like a punk than a Trauma Team executive, and she can often be seen sporting baggy T-Shirts with the faded symbols of obscure punk bands, most of which are older than her, and in general, she dresses more akin to a tomboy. Her arms always seem to be covered in new tattoos after every weekend, and the designs seem to constantly be shifting, as though she has the old ones burned away and replaced with new ink.

Biography

By the time Raven was born, her country had already collapsed into a state of borderline anarchy, the only real law and order was within what was left of the urban centres of Scotland, where corporate enforcers ensured a base level of law and order survived, if only to continue the flow of eurodollars from the hands of the poor into the pockets of the rich. Alexander, her father, was killed in a crossfire between Scottish rebels and monarchist loyalists when she was barely six, leaving her family with half an income. Lucia, her mother, still works as a pharmacist within the city's centre, mostly attending to patients suffering from rejection of their cyberware; Raven spent much of her formative years sitting in silence behind the pharmacy's counter, watching her mother tend to more and more desperate patients as the situation within the country deteriorated

When she wasn't shadowing her mother at work, much of her childhood was spent begging on the aging cobblestone streets of Edinburgh, occasionally working as a courier to transport scavenged cyberware and immunosuppressants to patients of the local ripperdocs, having a basic knowledge of doses from what her mother had told her. When she hit her teens, her work went from ferrying scavenged cyberware to collecting the parts herself. The regular gang warfare and violent crime of the city meant there was no shortage of bodies, and her first experience with any kind of medical tools came when she tore her first gorilla arm from a corpse in an alley. It was bloody, immoral work... But it paid the family's rent and put food on the table... And that was all that mattered back then.

After a years of scavving, Raven applied for a Trauma Team scholarship, and after weeks of studying for the entrance exam, she actually managed to enroll in medicine at the University of Edinburgh, on the condition they she put her skills to work for Trauma Team after graduation, and if she failed to graduate, she would owe the corp all of her tuition fees... At the age of twenty-one, she graduated and was immediately pressed into service for Trauma Team Europe, acting as the boot upon the neck of gang members who dared to fire upon a corporate client. For the first time in her life, she had money in her bank account and a warm bed to crash into at the end of a long shift; she didn't care that she was trapped within the corporation, at least at first... Her family was safe, and she had work to do. After transferring to Night City, the work just kept coming in...

Personality

[Add to this tomorrow I swear to god Ana.]

Quirks

  1. Although while strictly professional on the job, Raven will occasionally throw the squad some kind of celebration, although that usually entails her barging into the ready room with the cheapest, strongest bottle of alcohol she can find. Whether this is for the squad's morale or her own sanity is unclear.
  2. In general, Raven has a cool head at almost all times, although under times of extreme stress, such as during a particular explosive gunfight or a patient slipping from her grasp, her Scottish accent will become more pronounced.
  3. Because of Raven's deprived upbringing, she is far from materialistic, despite earning more eddies than the rest of the team. Her apartment in Watson is sparse, barely more than a single room with a bed. Most of her money either goes back to her family or ends up being spent on nights out with the rest of the squad.

Mannerisms
  1. Raven can appear outwardly cold while on the job, once a call comes in her mind is laser-focused on securing their patient, she often paces across the cabin of the AV-4 even as it lurches and rolls towards their patient, shouting out orders and briefing the squad, even under the hail of gunfire which usually welcomes them to a call.
  2. As the Lead EMT, Raven carries the burden of her team's well-being on her shoulders. Although she doesn't outwardly show it too often, she cares deeply for all of her team's physical and mental health

Likes | Dislikes

Likes: Everyone going home alive and unharmed, punk music, mixed martial arts,

Dislikes: Losing a team member, she takes it very personally.

Raven was picked up by Trauma Team Europe as a trainee close to seven years ago, mostly operating out of Trauma Team locations within the remaining urban centres of the United Kingdom. Graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Medicine at the age of twenty-one, Raven entered into the Trauma Team's Europe training programme and displayed an aptitude in field exercises, particularly in hostile pacification and leadership roles. Raven was promoted to lead EMT at the age of twenty-six after her previous Lead was gunned down by a cyber-psycho while responding to a call.

Despite her immune system having a low tolerance for cyberware, Raven was transferred to Night City as tensions rose between Millitech and Arisaka, leading to a massive spike in Platinum clients been registered within Night City, it is noted that much of Raven's pay check is sent back to her family to support them in Scotland, which is currently in an armed rebellion against the monarchist and corporate government of the United Kingdom.

Notes

Apartment Location: Watson, Just north of Night City Medical Center
p37ccbd.jpeg

  • Raven's immune system has a low tolerance for cyberware, making her more suited to the role of a leader as opposed to a security specialist, as she is limited in what cyberware she can install and how often she can use it.
