[CS] AJS Roleplaying - Character Sheets

Character Sheet
Currently starring in The Lives We Didn't Choose (AJS Roleplaying x Kita-san)

Name: Adrian 'AJ' Carlson Jr. (Faceclaim)
Age: 36
Occupation: Architect (specializing in restoring historic buildings)
Current Relationship: Married for eight years to Serena, a high-profile corporate lawyer. No children. Their marriage has become more of a formal arrangement than a partnership - cold, civil, and built around routine rather than connection.

Personality: Quietly magnetic, introspective, and deeply observant. AJ carries a natural warmth beneath a reserved exterior. He listens more than he speaks, often lost in thought. He has an old soul kind of charm - the kind that feels like coming home to someone you've never met. Deep down, he's a romantic who's forgotten how to believe in magic.

Background: Originally from a small coastal town, AJ moved to the city in his mid-20s, chasing purpose and success. He built a career he's proud of but realizes it's not fulfilling him the way he hoped. Somewhere along the way, he stopped creating for joy and started creating to stay distracted.

Appearance: Short dark brown hair with a few early threads of grey, often swept back by tired fingers. Deep green eyes, like a sky before a storm, always seeming to search for something he can't quite name. Tall, lean build, always dressed a little too neatly - like someone who wants to feel in control, even when he isn't.

Current State: AJ is quietly unraveling. He spends late nights sketching buildings that don't exist, walking streets he's memorized just to feel something shift. He's haunted by the sense that something is missing - not in a dramatic way, but in that low hum of sadness that never quite goes away. He doesn't know what he's waiting for, only that he's waiting.

Conflict: AJ is loyal to a life that looks good on paper but feels hollow in practice. He's terrified of blowing it all up just for a feeling - especially when he isn't even sure what that feeling is. But then, he meets her. A stranger who sees him without trying. Someone whose sadness mirrors his own. And suddenly, he begins to wonder if the life he built was ever really his at all.

Currently starring in A Helping Hand (AJS Roleplaying x Kita-san)

Name: Adrian Wolfe (Faceclaim)
Age: 35
Occupation: CEO and Founder of Wolfe Global Holdings (a multinational conglomerate with interests in luxury real estate, green tech, and private equity)
Appearance:
Adrian is tall - about 6'3" - with a lean, athletic build kept honed by early morning boxing sessions and late-night swims. His features are sharp and sculpted, giving him a perpetual look of cool detachment. A square jaw, high cheekbones, and piercing slate-grey eyes that seem to weigh and dismiss everything they see. His hair is thick, dark, and beginning to silver at the temples - a fact he neither hides nor flaunts. He's always immaculately dressed: bespoke three-piece suits by day, cashmere and tailored linen by night. He moves with the quiet control of someone used to getting what he wants.

Background:
Adrian was born into modest means - his mother a schoolteacher, his father a failed entrepreneur who left when Adrian was ten. Raised in a working-class Boston neighbourhood, Adrian clawed his way to the top with little more than ruthless intelligence, charisma, and an unrelenting drive to never be powerless again. After getting into Harvard on a scholarship, he built his empire from scratch - making his first million by 26 and building a billion-dollar brand in the last year.

Though he's constantly in the media for his business prowess and philanthropic initiatives, his personal life is deliberately guarded. He's dated models, heiresses, a couple of actresses - but they all seem to blur together, none lasting more than a season. The tabloids call him "The Ice King" - not for cruelty, but because no one ever gets close enough to melt him.

Personality:
Adrian is composed, calculating, and impossibly controlled. Every word, every glance, every decision feels deliberate. He doesn't waste time - not his own, not anyone else's. But beneath the executive polish and enigmatic charm is a man who's quietly suffocating in his own loneliness. He's surrounded by beauty, power, and influence, but it's all become background noise. Despite the warmth he projects in interviews and at charity galas, Adrian's walls are steel-reinforced.

He doesn't believe in love. He believes in leverage. He believes in control. He believes in earning things. What he doesn't expect is to meet someone who throws all of that into question - not because she tries to, but because she doesn't play the game at all.

Core Wound:
Adrian equates vulnerability with weakness. Having seen his mother emotionally destroyed by his father's departure and their subsequent poverty, he has made it his life's mission to never be dependent on anyone again. He fears that to need someone is to hand them the blade they'll one day use on your softest parts. He doesn't realize how desperately he craves connection - real, raw, unfiltered - until he meets her.

Flaws
  • Emotionally closed off
  • Hyper-controlling in both business and personal life
  • Has difficulty trusting people's intentions
  • Secretly fears intimacy, even as he craves it
  • Believes he can "fix" problems with money, which often backfires in matters of the heart

Hidden Depths
  • Speaks fluent French (a remnant from a year abroad in his twenties)
  • Keeps a private art collection - mostly melancholy pieces
  • Plays piano, but only when no one is listening
  • Donates anonymously to battered women's shelters and underfunded schools
  • Writes in a private journal, filled with philosophical musings and quotes from obscure authors

Character Arc
Over the course of the story, Damien will be forced to confront the limits of control and the emptiness of success without someone to share it with. His carefully curated world will be cracked open by a woman who wasn't looking for a prince, and never asked to be rescued. Through her, he'll learn that real strength lies in vulnerability - and that some things can't be bought or built, only earned through trust.

Currently starring in The Years Between Us (PM Roleplay)

Name: Adrian 'AJ' James (Faceclaim)
Age: 26
Height: 5'10"
Build: Athletic, lean but defined - the kind of body shaped by years of disciplined training rather than vanity.
Hair: Dark brown, cropped short, usually styled with minimal effort.
Eyes: Green - striking against his tan skin, intense when focused, warm when relaxed.

Background
Born and raised in a working-class neighbourhood in South Boston, AJ was the youngest of three kids raised by a single mother who juggled two jobs to keep the lights on. His childhood was shaped by scarcity, resilience, and a fierce loyalty to family. He learned early how to hustle - not just in sports, but in life.

Despite the odds, AJ was a natural athlete. He earned a full-ride scholarship to Harvard, where he played cornerback for the Crimson. He wasn't the biggest guy on the field, but he was fast, smart, and relentless. Coaches loved his work ethic. Teammates respected his edge. He made just enough noise to be noticed but not quite enough to make it to the NFL. A torn ACL in his junior year put a nail in that dream.

But AJ was never just an athlete. He graduated with honours in Economics, thanks to sleepless nights, study groups, and a chip on his shoulder the size of Boston itself. After graduation, he made his way west - to L.A., to be exact - where he now works as a sports agent. Not at one of the big agencies (not yet), but at a rising boutique firm that's hungry for disruption. AJ fits right in.

Personality
  • Charismatic: He knows how to read a room. How to make someone feel like the most important person in it - whether it's a client, a coach, or a billionaire team owner.
  • Driven: Every win is personal. He's not just building a career - he's rewriting his story, and everyone who ever doubted him is watching.
  • Loyal: If you're in his circle, he's got you for life. But cross him once, and you're out. No second chances.
  • Protective: He's seen too many young athletes get chewed up and spit out. He fights like hell to make sure his clients don't end up as cautionary tales.
  • Wary of intimacy: His past taught him not to expect permanence. Relationships don't last; people leave. So while he's magnetic, emotionally he's still guarded.
Style
AJ dresses sharp but low-key - tailored joggers and high-end sneakers, cashmere hoodies, clean lines. He wears his success quietly, but deliberately. His only indulgence is a watch his mother gifted him when he graduated Harvard — a modest one, but priceless to him.

Current Situation
He's got a few promising young clients and is about to close his biggest deal yet - a multi-year endorsement contract for a rookie phenom. But the pressure is on. The deal could make his career… or break it. And the sharks are circling.
