Issue Unable to Delete Thread in Any Forum

So I just went to go and edit my RT, and I realized that the "Delete" button is completely missing. Same with my threads I've created in journals, etc. Not sure if it's related to this discussion, but would it be possible to get that back? If this is something that is being removed going forward, would it be possible to know why and what the proper procedure would be to delete a thread if needed in the future...?

It seems a bit strange that this wasn't communicated to users who may have wanted to take content down before this feature went away. If it's just a temporary measure, perhaps an announcement could be made on the future plans for the feature?

This - in transparency, seems to be an issue with an attempt at making it so regular users cannot delete RP subforum posts, as in relation to the recent thread. I personally don't agree with nor want a blanket ban on regular members being able to delete anything. That seems excessive to me. Unfortunately I lack the controls to revert this change but Vekseid has been alerted so that hopefully this change can be reversed ASAP otherwise it's going to be a massive headache for staff & regular users.

In the meantime, maybe a temporary announcement thread or something so people don't panic and mass report/PM you guys? :c

FWIW I did do some checking on what perms regular users have. It looks like it may affect the RP request subforums and I assume the RP subforums. Are you unable to delete posts elsewhere? I'm on a temp announcement thread shortly.

I can't delete my journal either. I don't have any threads created in other forums to test, but I'm sure other users may be able to weigh in if they do.

In the meantime there is an announcement thread. Until this issue is resolved, please PM me and I will delete any necessary posts at my earliest convenience. If other mods volunteer to delete posts here or in the announcement thread feel free to PM them too but I am trying to make sure mods don't get spammed with work unnecessarily.

you can still delete all other posts, just not the first one in your thread, as this currently deletes the entire thread ~ this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Yes, that's why I specified "unable to delete thread" as well as "thread I've created". ^_^
