A young aspiring football (soccer) player is on the verge of breaking into the first team, but the path to stardom is rife with many temptations and corruption. Think fast! Fame and fortune move fast, but not as fast as headlines. This is about the beautiful game - and how it plays you.

Hello and welcome!
I'm looking to write against a female character who has an agenda, and an ulterior motive.
And a writer who will collaborate, conjure some ideas and write out something fairly specific - it's in a specific sports setting, but that's only used as the backdrop for the story. I want to use this context to explore the themes mentioned above and any others you're interested in.
There is no need for any in-depth knowledge of the sport itself nor the names of actual athletes, but some minor understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of a football club, the training and the sport celebrity lifestyle would certainly be useful.
Nothing about this story is absolutely set - it's still a story very much open to your input and suggestions!
For simplicity, this is written as if MC is the footballer - but it could just as easily be YC if you want to write as the footballer.
MC is an up-and-coming football star in the making, at about 21 to 23 years old. They are trying to navigate the early days of being a young adult in the professional sports world and dealing with all the pressures and temptations, especially in Europe's top leagues, that early money and fame, exposes someone to.
How does a young person exposed to wealth, fame and expectations of stardom too early handle all the distractions and temptations that come with that? Chances are they turn to someone for support, for help, and find out just who they can really trust. Perhaps YC could help MC meet their lofty ambitions sooner?
YC sees MC as someone on the verge of fame, someone who would also elevate YC towards their own goals - whatever those may be. But then... YC's own network is not clean cut... do they have connections to underground crime? Do they have gambling debts that need to be repaid? Are they looking to find ways to boost their own stature and fame - using MC as a means to do so? Could YC convince MC to facilitate some bets? Perhaps fix a match? Leak some dressing room secrets and gossip?
This may be about the beautiful game on the surface, but beneath, it is about all the ugly corruption, seduction and temptation that follows...
